AS EVERYTHING UNFOLDS are pleased to announce their signing to Century Media. To mark the news, the band have returned with a brand new single, ‘SET IN FLOW’.
Speaking of ‘SET IN FLOW’, front woman Charlie Rolfe says, “this song was written directly from the perspective of a replicant/non-human, starting off at the beginning of the song being told who/what they are: a carbon copy of another. Eventually we follow them wanting to distance themselves from what they were, slowly becoming confident and comfortable in their uniqueness learning how to be human, even reflecting on their previous existence in anger, being kept in the dark about their unique consciousness.”
Ignoring traditional genre boundaries with their distinctive sound, As Everything Unfolds have aspired to create a unique listening experience, combining a multitude of genres within the alternative realm and beyond. With over 30 million streams of their catalogue to date, their craft does not go unnoticed.
As Everything Unfolds have been nominated for three Heavy Music Awards, including Best Album in 2024, and have appeared at iconic European festivals including Download Festival, Graspop, Rock For People, Resurrection and Wacken. They have also toured extensively alongside bands including Electric Callboy, Enter Shikari, Skindred, Bury Tomorrow, Holding Absence and many more.
With new music and the signing to Century Media, 2025 promises to be a huge year for the band showcasing their new era across numerous tours and festivals.

Fresh from their secret set at last weekend’s DOWNLOAD FESTIVAL, Steel City Kings MALEVOLENCE have released a new single from their massively anticipated new album, ‘Where Only The Truth Is Spoken’, which is out now via MLVLTD in partnership with Nuclear Blast Records.
The video comes in response to a takedown of their previous single ‘Salt The Wound’, which was forcibly removed from Nuclear Blast’s YouTube channel after The National Trust threatened legal action.
Apparently pretending to play the guitar for a couple of hours on a public path that thousands of tourists walk up every single day is a criminal offence worth pursuing,” said the band in a statement.
“The video is a celebration of where we come from and we’re proud of what we made. Fortunately… Someone has anonymously uploaded a version back to YouTube” they continued.
New single ‘So Help Me God’ sees the band safely performing within the walls of the historic Abbeydale Picture House cinema in Sheffield.
“This song is one of the most personal songs I’ve ever written. This song is a raw exploration of my own resentment, and unresolved anger” comments frontman ALEX TAYLOR.
“For the video, we wanted to match the tone of the song and have a raw performance driven video full of energy and aggression.”
The band surprised revellers at DOWNLOAD FESTIVAL on Sunday, after days of speculation around this year’s secret act. During a stunning set in a packed out AVALANCHE stage, guitarist Konan Hall unveiled his brand new guitar – a one of a kind collaboration between Jackson® Guitars and Blizzard Entertainment’s World of Warcraft® (more details below)

The highly infectious song is the first new material the band has released in nearly two years. Following the hugely successful self-titled album from 2023 that entered the German album charts at number 2, ‘Rising High‘ once again demonstrates BEYOND THE BLACK‘s unique flair for combining energetic melodic metal with elegant rock and pop hooklines.

Singer Jennifer Haben commented: “The silence is over: „Rising High“! A new era – and we’re ready to fly.“

After the highly successful release of their second album March of the Unheard in January 2025 and their celebrated first European headlining tour, melodic death metal stars THE HALO EFFECT return with a powerful interpretation of DANZIG’s iconic track ‘How the Gods Kill’—originally released on the classic 1992 album Danzig III: How the Gods Kill.
This cover version was handpicked by front man Mikael Stanne, who shares: “During my teenage years the darkness and allure of the early Danzig albums introduced me to a whole new way of thinking about what rock and metal could be. Glenn’s vocals and lyrics were also incredibly influential on this aspiring vocalist/lyricist.”
The band brings a new weight and urgency to the track while preserving the brooding mystique of the original. With soaring guitar harmonies, thunderous rhythm, and Stanne’s commanding vocals, THE HALO EFFECT reinvents the classic through the lens of the Gothenburg sound.
THE HALO EFFECT will hit the road for summer festivals and some club shows. Here are the dates: 26.06. GR Thessaloniki – Rockwave Festival 28.06. FI Helsinki – Tuska Festival 17.07. Finish hard rock band, SERPICO, have released the 2nd single and music video for ‘Rock n Roll is Not Dead‘, the track is taken from their upcoming album ‘Dressed in flesh‘, which is set to be released September 12, 2025 via Golden Robot Records.
The phrase “Rock n’ roll is not dead” has always been close to my heart and plays such a big part in my life and in our band that I decided to write a song about it as soon as inspiration struck. It took a few years, but I believe the time is ripe right now because today’s rock n’ roll is basically missing exactly what I have always admired in rock n’ roll music: originality and authenticity. The idea for the song is actually based on the fact that at some point a large part of people in the music media were shouting that “Rock is dead” and blah blah… That is absolutely not true, rock n’ roll is alive and doing well. I hope commercial radio stations and other mainstream media would wake up to this as well. -Jani Serpico
SERPICO is:
Jani Serpico – Drums Matt Gee – Bass Vee Dour – Lead vocals Snage – Guitars
Serpico is a Finnish rock band founded in 2005. From the original lineup, vocalist Vee Dour (Kalle Virtanen) and guitarist Snage (Mika Muinonen) remain. The current lineup also includes drummer Jani “Serpico” Järvelin and bassist Matti “Matt Gee” Gustafsson.
With its first lineup, Serpico recorded a full-length album titled Utopia +358, which was never officially released. However, the EP Bad Commercial was released in 2011. These recordings were produced at Headline Studio in Tampere under the direction of Jani Viitanen, known from the band Yö.
In 2011, Serpico supported Mad Juana, the band led by Hanoi Rocks bassist Sami Yaffa. Three years later, the band released its first full-length album, Shallow Mistress, which was accompanied by a music video. In Levykauppa X’s annual poll for new bands, the album ranked fifth. Shallow Mistress was recorded at Headline Studio in Tampere. Serpico actively toured abroad, performing in the Baltic countries and Sweden alongside Bloody Heels, Rust’n’Rage, and Princess.
In 2018, Serpico released the album Rock Tattoo, featuring the first single Shout, which also received a music video. The video gained exposure on Klaus Flaming’s late-night music program on Radio Rock. Following the album’s release, the band embarked on a two-week tour of the UK, performing with Rust’n’Rage and various local bands.
That same year, Serpico performed alongside Michael Monroe at the MotoRockFest in Pori. In 2016, the band released Rock Tattoo’s second single and music video, Ain’t Better to Leave.
In 2016, Serpico opened for Hanoi Rocks guitarist Andy McCoy and also performed with Flesh Roxon. In 2017, the band continued touring and recorded the remaining tracks for Rock Tattoo. The album received positive international attention, with Slade’s frontman Noddy Holder mentioning Ain’t Better to Leave in his music column. Additionally, the Canadian YouTube channel A&P Reacts gave the album high praise.
In 2019, Serpico continued as a four-piece after Eddy’s departure from the band. This change also brought in producer Anssi Kippo, best known for his work with Children of Bodom. The band rehearsed intensively and recorded new material entirely in analog format on reel-to-reel tape.
That same year, Serpico signed an international recording and distribution deal with the Italian label Rockshots Records. Their album The Chosen Four was released in the summer of 2022 and received widespread positive feedback from various media outlets. Kamelot’s drummer Alex Landenburg personally praised the album. The track The Last Days of Monopoly features composition work by Kassu Halonen. Following the album’s release, the band appeared on the television show Soittakaa Paranoid, which included a Ville Juurikkala-directed music video for Dark Energy.
The following year, the band underwent a lineup change when bassist Matti Gustafsson replaced Antti Fager. Additionally, Serpico signed an international booking deal with Metal Bookings for the years 2021–2023. The agency arranges performances across Europe, Japan, South America, and Asia. In 2022, Serpico secured domestic booking representation with Stupido Live Booking.
In 2023, Serpico supported The 69 Eyes and, on short notice, traveled to England to perform at Geoff Tate’s Operation: Mindcrime 35th anniversary concert at the sold-out The Garage club in London.
In 2024, Serpico signed a release and distribution deal with the U.S.-based label Golden Robot Records. The new album Dressed in Flesh is set for release in September 2025. The album was once again recorded entirely in analog format at Astia Studio under Anssi Kippo’s direction, utilizing traditional production methods. Three singles will be released ahead of the album’s launch.

With its fiery guitar work and no-nonsense lyrics, “Trigger Finger” finds Bonamassa leaning into a grittier, more rocking sound that highlights the album’s adventurous spirit. Produced by Kevin Shirley (Iron Maiden, The Black Crowes, Journey), Breakthrough was crafted across Greece, Nashville, and Los Angeles, blending global influences into a dynamic, genre-bending collection.
“Trigger Finger” follows the release of the album’s title track “Breakthrough,” a soulful and uplifting anthem of transformation, along with the moody, introspective “Shake This Ground” and the warm, groove-driven “Still Walking With Me.” Each of these singles showcases a different facet of Bonamassa’s evolving artistry and the emotional range of Breakthrough, his most stylistically diverse studio effort to date.
With over 50 albums, 28 #1 Billboard Blues albums, and a lifelong commitment to evolving the genre, Joe Bonamassa continues to set the standard for modern blues-rock. Breakthrough promises to further cement his legacy as one of the most innovative guitarists and songwriters of his generation.
The new single arrives as Bonamassa rides a wave of momentum. Fresh off a European tour with his supergroup Black Country Communion, he now sets his sights on summer dates across Europe, including sold-out shows in Ireland and appearances at iconic festivals like Montreux Jazz Festival and Bospop. His U.S. summer tour kicks off July 31st at The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, with stops at Vina Robles Amphitheatre, Red Rocks, and more. In September, Bonamassa will headline the Bourbon & Beyond Festival before setting sail on the sold-out Keeping the Blues Alive at SeaAlaska cruise.
