Albuquerque, New Mexico’s hottest new metalcore band BLOSSOMS FALL just dropped an inspirational new music video and single entitled “Affliction” which owns the sweet spot of our sonic zone like a massive tsunami crashing on our shores. The music video was directed by Benjamin Sachs at Third Shift Media. This is the second single & music video taken from their upcoming EP album La Alma which will be released on February 6, 2026 via Eclipse Records. The album was produced and mixed by Matthew Torres (Lights on the Coast, Cloudtrails, Wasted Potency) at Nightscape Recordings, and mastered by Kevin Thrasher (Escape the Fate, Machine Gun Kelly, Blink 182, Avril Lavigne) at Thrasher Productions.
“This song in particular has been a favorite track for all of us” says guitarist Matt Torres. “So it felt worthy of our first performance video. Initially, we wanted to create an atmosphere that matched the vibe of our previous lyric video. We found the Speakeasy Studio on a random website that books studio sessions. It contained a lot of the same colors as the lyric video and even had grass on the ceiling to make it look like a retreat in the forest to match the vibes of the Luna video. For this particular edit, we wanted a clean but high-definition kind of shot, and Ben delivered. We think that venue did a great job at visually helping us tell our story of searching for ourselves in the woods.”
The new album La Almaby Blossoms Fall is metalcore, but so much more than the current genre classification would indicate. Genre is a moniker, a nickname if you will, and in terms of La Alma, we could thrust a slew of “warriors” into the ring for this fight, like hyper pop, emo core, or modern metalcore with a trance vibe. We could claim that Blossoms Fall create music that resembles a good thriller soundtrack in that they lead our emotions one way, and then they twist us into unexpected contexts, causing glorious disequilibrium and life changing interpretations of our own emotional and psychological landscapes. In other words, this album is a blast of beautiful chaos leading us to the edge of the cliff yet giving us wings…to the lip of the abyss armed with a blazing torch and a backbone of granite. Musically, the first thing we might notice is that drums are absolute thunder, produced to be a force in the forefront and earning its position with monster fills even in the verses. The guitar work is heavy with maximum crunch, like a fiery blast from the jaws of the dragon, the bass a “wall of pound” and the vocals cleverly patterned with textured growls and melodic tapestries. We are also given flashes of ethereal keys and tasty syncopation, demonstrating the band’s ability to not only show force but to add a flavor profile unique, devasting, and addictive as hell. La Alma was produced and mixed by Matthew Torres (Lights on the Coast, Cloudtrails, and Wasted Potency), mastered by Kevin Thrasher (MGK, Blink 182, Escape the Fate, and Iann Dior). The album art was designed by Luis Escalara of Adelphia Studios, and it is scheduled for release on February 6, 2026.

“Radici”, the second album by DIESPNEA, will be released on February 13th, 2026 in both CD and LP formats via Italy’s cult label Code666.
The record is steeped in an enchanting form of avantgarde black metal rooted in the atmospheres, colors, and warm ruggedness of an imaginary South. Far from the usual northern influences, these roots sink into a hot, arid, rocky landscape – a place where the air tastes of dust and the light forces your eyes half-shut beneath a blinding sun. “Radici” stands as a work with a unique, unmistakable character, boldly diverging from every cliché and convention of the genre.
Preorders and the first single “Maskharah” are now available at THIS LOCATION.
DIESPNEA was formed in 2014 as the solo project of Wolke. In 2019, it evolved into a studio collaboration with Anxitudo – a partnership born from a shared devotion to black metal and the desire to create something deeply personal. Their aim has always been to build upon solid black metal foundations while expanding into avant-garde and experimental realms, consistently pushing beyond established boundaries.
In 2020, DIESPNEA released their debut full-length “Pneuma” through Naturmacht Productions, an album rooted in atmospheric black metal tradition. With “Radici” (2026), the duo steps decisively outside any rigid stylistic definition, fully embracing an avant-garde direction influenced by pioneering acts such as Dødheimsgard and Manes.
Lyrically and conceptually, DIESPNEA explore profound themes – existence, human emotion, and the darker recesses of the soul. Though they have yet to bring their vision to the stage, the possibility of live performances remains open.
“Radici” took shape over several years of intermittent work, with some ideas even predating “Pneuma”. Conceived during a period of deep personal transformation, the album reflects a complete reimagining of the band’s compositional and creative process, freeing them from previous frameworks. Its themes are universal: the duality of life and death, the concept of masks, and collective rituals shared by both humans and animals.
The production – recording, mixing, and mastering – was handled entirely by the band, an intentional choice reflecting their pursuit of authenticity and unpredictability. By blending analog recordings with unorthodox digital techniques, DIESPNEA achieved the raw, dynamic tension that defines “Radici”, a work that refuses to compromise.

We’re just days away now from the ultimate last minute holidays present for all the metal fans in your life – and the yacht rock lovers as well… because you never know. They might wanna hear it, too.
Yes, Yacht Metal is due to dock on December 19, and if you’ve missed the buzz that’s already about, then this is your chance to leap on board, as Graham Bonnet (Rainbow) and Bumblefoot pair up to give Grover Washington Jr. and Bill Withers‘ 1980 smash “Just The Two Of Us” the kind of work-out that neither you nor they probably ever expected to hear.
Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal was certainly excited at the prospect. “When Cleopatra Records calls, I know it’s gonna be something fun,” he says. “And, sure enough, Yacht Metal! Had the pleasure of guesting alongside the mighty Graham Bonnet with music/produced by Derek Hughes – I hope you all enjoy! :)”
Yes, you will. Because how can you not? Yacht Metal, after all, brings together two of the most… can we say “beloved”? Yeah, why not. Two of the most beloved genres in modern music, and while it would have been easy to flip the concept and serve up metal by the yachting community (don’t laugh… it might happen!), right now it’s the metal mob storming the marina, with solos on stun, riffs on roofies, and vocals that can shatter a fiber-glass hull from a hundred paces.
Thor sings Jay Ferguson. The BulletBoys batter “Taking It To The Streets.|” Joe Lynn Turner (Rainbow) sails through “Ride Captain Ride.” And yes, talking of Captains, Lorraine Lewis (Femme Fatale) and George Lynch positively shred “Love Will Keep Us Together.” Girlschool’sKim McAuliffe and Leader of Down savage Nicolette Larson’s version of Neil Young’s defenseless “Lotta Love,” while former Judas Priest frontman Tim “Ripper” Owens and UFO guitarist Vinnie Moore claim they want to “Kiss You All Over.” And maybe they do. You’ll have to listen to find out for sure.
And you only have ten days (and counting) to wait before the dreadnought pulls into port. At which point, even the most painstakingly-curated festive playlist will be cast aside to make way for a brain-busting blast of Yacht Metal.
Escape (The Piña Colada Song) – Ronnie Romero, Britt Lightning
Ride Captain Ride – Joe Lynn Turner, Marcus Nand
Just the Two of Us – Graham Bonnet, Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal
Takin’ It To The Streets – Bullet Boys, Bob Daisley, Mick Box
Love Will Keep Us Together – George Lynch, Femme Fatale
You Can Do Magic – Phil Soussan, Mick Box, Marc Lopes
Kiss You All Over – Tim “Ripper” Owens, Vinnie Moore
