Following the recent release of their stirring acoustic version of “Horizon” (listen/watch here), Australian symphonic folk metal torchbearers VALHALORE have unleashed an epic new live video for “The Storm,” a track taken from the band’s latest studio album, Beyond The Stars. Capturing the power and energy of VALHALORE on stage, “The Storm (Live)” brings one of the record’s most intense songs to life in a striking live setting.
Composer Anthony Willis writes, “We are stoked to finally share this powerful live version of ‘The Storm’, captured on our Australian headline tour last year! This is the first live recording we’ve released as a digital single, and we think the atmosphere, rawness and intensity of this live performance takes the song beyond the original. Turn it up loud and enjoy!”
Originally released in April 2025 via ROAR – A Division of Reigning Phoenix Music, Beyond The Stars marked the long-awaited second full-length chapter in VALHALORE’s journey. Blending melodic death, power and symphonic metal with the band’s distinctive folk influences, the album combines crushing heaviness and sweeping melodies with atmospheric passages, further enriched by instruments including flute, cello and mandolin.
Upon its release, Beyond The Stars was met with an enthusiastic response from the international metal press. METAL ON TAP awarded the album a perfect 10/10, calling it “metal at its absolute finest, and a serious contender for Album of the Year.” Australia’s METAL ROOS praised it as “a perfect fusion of the modern metal with the traditional” and concluded with an emphatic “Highly recommended!” Germany’s METAL HAMMER, meanwhile, highlighted the interplay between growls and clean vocals on songs such as “The Storm” and “Horizon,” noting that it gives the tracks “a certain grandeur”.
With Beyond The Stars, VALHALORE opened a new chapter while staying true to the epic, emotional and cinematic qualities at the heart of their sound. “The Storm” stands as one of the album’s powerful centerpieces, bringing together heavy guitars, commanding rhythms, harsh and clean vocals, and the folk and symphonic textures that define the band’s musical identity.

California’s ANTANIA return with their first single and official video “33”, unveiling their new album The Unholy 33, due October 16, 2026 via Argonauta Records. The duo will also hit the road across Asia alongside renowned Swedish extreme metal force The Crown.
Following the announcement of their signing with Argonauta Records, California-based experimental extreme metal duo ANTANIA, featuring Doc Luna and Kali Mortem, are ready to unleash their first new music for the label.
Today, ANTANIA reveal “33”, the first single and official video taken from their forthcoming new album, The Unholy 33, due for digital release on October 16, 2026 via Argonauta Records.
With “33”, ANTANIA further establish their singular approach to avant-garde black metal, industrial extremity and experimental electronics, delivering an uncompromising sonic assault built entirely without conventional guitars or bass. Synthesizers, crushing low frequencies, distorted textures and machine-like rhythms collide into a sound that is bleak, mechanical and ferocious.
Drawing from the pioneering extremity of Dodheimsgard, Mysticum and Thorns, alongside the dark electronic legacy of Skinny Puppy and Ministry, ANTANIA operate in a territory where the hostile atmosphere of black metal meets industrial precision and experimental sound design. Their music takes the intensity and darkness of extreme metal and rebuilds it through an entirely electronic arsenal, resulting in an unsettling and highly distinctive sonic identity.
The Unholy 33 expands this vision across eleven tracks, pushing ANTANIA’s experimental industrial black metal into even darker and more disturbing territory.

The album will initially be released digitally through Argonauta Records on October 16, 2026, followed at a later date by physical editions on CD and vinyl. Full details of the physical releases will be revealed soon.
But ANTANIA’s assault will not remain confined to the studio. Shortly after the album’s release, Doc Luna and Kali Mortem will take their extreme electronic black metal vision on the road, joining renowned Swedish metal force The Crown for a series of dates across Asia, followed by an additional appearance alongside Evergrey in India.

With The Unholy 33, ANTANIA are preparing to push their peculiar strain of avant-garde and industrial black metal even further beyond conventional boundaries. Built from synthesizers, distortion, crushing bass frequencies and mechanical rhythms, their music occupies a space where the coldness of industrial electronics collides with the darkness and extremity of black metal.
The Unholy 33 arrives October 16, 2026 via Argonauta Records.

Collapsaris the second single from the new A SECRET REVEALED albumThe Ruin I Summoned Forth, which is set to be released on November 20th via Lifeforce Records.
The title of the fourth full‑length by A SECRET REVEALED already serves as a dark omen: “The Ruin I Summoned Forth” sounds powerful, oppressive, and inescapable. And that very weight permeates all eight songs of the album. The band from Würzburg crafts a sonic landscape defined by immense emotional force, urgent intensity, and a density that feels almost impossible to contain. Their wall of sound is never an end in itself, but the foundation of an existential expression that hits immediately and resonates long after.
Stylistically, the quintet moves within the tension field of post‑metal – a sound that doesn’t deny its core roots, yet highlights more clearly than ever their affinity for black metal, melodic death metal, and modern, forward‑driving heaviness. Time and again, fragile, searching passages open up, giving the massive sound room to breathe, occasionally interwoven with subtle, almost folkloric accents. Fittingly, the opener ‘Disheartened’ sets an early exclamation mark: with Nikita Kamprad of Der Weg einer Freiheit as guest vocalist, the track gains additional depth and sharpness.
“The Ruin I Summoned Forth” marks the band’s third release on LIFEFORCE RECORDS, following “Sacrifices” (2019) and “When The Day Yearns For Light” (2021). Their debut “The Bleakness” was released in 2015 via Bastardized Records. Across all four records, a clear narrative thread emerges: A SECRET REVEALED consistently strive to craft strong thematic arcs and a massive, uncompromising sound that grips listeners from the very beginning and leaves a lasting impact. Once again, the band presents a cohesive work in which individual elements rise into an overwhelming whole, until, in the end, the inevitable unfolds: “The Ruin I Summoned Forth”.

Finnish melodic metal act AFTER INFINITY releases their new single “Whisper in the Air”, offering one of the most intimate and emotionally charged moments from their upcoming sophomore album “Beyond Eternity”, due out October 23rd, 2026 via Rockshots Records.
Featuring guest vocals from Mika Tauriainen (Entwine, Shamrain), “Whisper in the Air” marks his first release in over a decade.
Following the heavier approach of the previously released singles, After Infinity now reveals a very different side of the forthcoming album. Built entirely around piano, orchestral arrangements, and vocals, with no guitars or drums, “Whisper in the Air” provides a deliberate moment of contrast within the record.
The song was originally conceived by After Infinity founder, guitarist, and songwriter Zsolt Szilagyi as a short interlude. During the collaboration with Tauriainen, however, the piece gradually developed into a complete four-minute composition, with the vocalist contributing not only his performance but also helping shape the song into its final form.
Zsolt Szilagyi comments:
“Between a fast song and a 12-minute prog metal epic, this simple piano ballad allows the listener to catch their breath. What an honor it was to have Mika Tauriainen from Entwine collaborate on this song, making it his first release in over a decade. Not only did he deliver the most emotional vocals; he helped me shape the song from a small interlude into an independent masterpiece.”
Due out on October 23rd, 2026, “Beyond Eternity” follows After Infinity’s 2024 self-titled debut and further explores the heavier and more progressive sides of the band’s sound. Across nine tracks, the album moves through power metal, heavy metal, and progressive influences while combining heavy riffs and melodic hooks with piano passages and orchestral arrangements.
The album continues After Infinity’s collaborative approach, with different guest vocalists bringing their own character to individual songs while remaining connected by Szilagyi’s songwriting. “Whisper in the Air” stands apart as one of the record’s most stripped-back compositions, placing the focus entirely on melody, atmosphere and Tauriainen’s vocal performance.
Produced by Zsolt Szilagyi, “Beyond Eternity” features orchestrations by Gideon Ricardo and bass by Ville Koskinen. “Whisper in the Air” was mixed by Ari Laurila, while the album was mastered by Jasse Kesti at Kesthouse.

The mud is stirring. The pitchforks are rising. And the kingdom’s days may finally be numbered.
Medieval metal miscreants NETHERWILDS have released their defiant new single “The Fall,” the latest offering from their forthcoming debut album, Peasant Rising, arriving October 9th via King Volume Records.
Following the drunken revelry of “Helm Yeah,” “The Fall” returns Worm Chewer to a far more serious matter: revolution.
What began as the daily misery of one downtrodden peasant searching for his goat has grown into something much larger. Years of toil, taxation, hunger and humiliation beneath the boot of the ruling class have taken their toll, and across the villages, a dangerous idea is beginning to spread, that perhaps kings and castles are not as permanent as they appear.
With “The Fall,” NETHERWILDS turn that growing unrest into a battle cry. Dark, imposing and steeped in medieval atmosphere, the track captures the moment resignation gives way to resistance and the peasants begin looking beyond mere survival toward the possibility of taking their fate into their own hands.
Worm Chewer warns:
“Every kingdom must fall. Whispered on the lips of my fellow peasants, stamped into the muck of my village – this truth carries us forward for the day when justice finally arrives. Grab a pitchfork my friend, The Fall is coming.”
Across Peasant Rising, NETHERWILDS fuse blackened metal, medieval folk, doom and cinematic atmosphere into an eccentric 22-track saga chronicling Worm Chewer’s transformation from beleaguered laborer into an increasingly unlikely revolutionary.
Produced and mixed by Jesse Turnbull (Dear-God, Doflame), the record journeys through mud-soaked villages, dungeons, monsters, drunken escapades and feudal indignities as Worm Chewer’s personal struggle gradually becomes intertwined with a much greater rebellion brewing beyond the castle walls.
“The Fall” represents a crucial turning point in that tale. The jokes remain, the mud remains and the peasants are certainly still peasants—but fear of the crown is beginning to disappear.
Every kingdom must fall eventually. Perhaps this one sooner than expected.
Peasant Rising Track List:
1. Peasant Rising 2. Peasant Pit 3. Helm Yeah 4. Scroll I – The Fair 5. Ballad of Sir Gregory 6. Scroll II – The Mud Mages 7. Cry in the Hay 8. Scroll III – The Chase 9. Siege Proof Hovel 10. About NETHERWILDS:
NETHERWILDS is a medieval metal project that transforms the viral mythology of the beloved Worm Chewer character into a fully realized musical realm. Produced and mixed by Jesse Turnbull (Dear-God, Doflame), debut album Peasant Rising combines blackened metal, medieval folk, doom and cinematic storytelling to chronicle one lowly peasant’s improbable journey from forgotten laborer to would-be revolutionary.
Packed with immersive world-building, memorable characters, crushing riffs and a gleefully irreverent view of feudal authority, NETHERWILDS invite listeners into a realm where hardship and absurdity walk hand in hand, and even the lowliest peasant may yet have his day.
Faroese luminary singer-songwriter Eivør has unveiled a new track from her upcoming studio project, Tungl, due out on October 16th. Today’s release Spøkilsir / Revenantsweaves hypnotic dream-pop and trip-hop textures into an evocative meditation on embracing the ghosts of our past.
Eivør conveys about the song:
“In ‘Spøkilsir / Revenants,’ we find relief in the imperfect.
I think we all carry ghosts. Things in the past we would have liked to have handled differently or little flaws within ourselves we try to hide from the world. But often when we learn to fully embrace each other’s flaws, quirks and darker sides, they become endearing. We become more patient and forgiving, not only towards each other, but also towards ourselves.”
Eivør adds:
“The music video was created by my dear friend Gwenaël Akira, whose enthusiasm and dedication always make working with him inspiring. We wanted to create an inner world, a reflection of the voices, shadows and different versions of ourselves that live inside our heads. Gwenaël conceived a mirrored box, almost like a room inside the mind, and an incredible team of artists in the Faroe Islands brought it to life.”
Director Gwenaël Akira adds:
“At the heart of Spøkilsir was one constructed room: a space where one body could become many and reflections could express what cannot easily be said. Finding the emotional truth within those images with Eivør was a very special process.”
1LP gatefold (transparent & black marbled vinyl) + 7″ bonus vinyl – Artist Exclusive
Whether you’re already embedded into Eivør’s ever-expanding world or yet to fall under its spell, Tungl is a far-reaching journey of discovery.
Tungl – a Faroese word for ‘moon’ – sees Eivør reach further into elemental realms than ever before. Immersive, unmoored and steeped in a sense of time-stretched drama where familiar marker points give way as an inner compass emerges over its 10 searching tracks, it’s an album also in tune with a very contemporary need for navigation, self-belief and rejuvenation in the most uncertain of times.
Eivør spent this summer performing across Europe, presenting a select number of headline concerts and appearing at leading festivals including Paléo Festival, Brutal Assault, Summer Breeze and ArcTanGent.
To celebrate the release of Tungl, Eivør will present three special album release concerts in October. Eivør will be playing two consecutive nightsat Nordic House in Tórshavn, Faroe Islands, on 16 and 17 October, before she returns to Harpa’s Eldborg Hall in Reykjavík, Iceland, on 23 October for a unique performance featuring special guest musicians in one of the Nordic region’s most iconic concert halls. These intimate events will offer audiences a rare opportunity to experience Tungl performed in a special setting before Eivør embarks on her extensive international tour.
Eivør will also be undertaking an extensive headline tour acrossNorth America later this year, and across Europe and the UK into 2027.

For over two decades, Faroese artist Eivør has been regarded as one of the most bewitching and fearless voices to have emerged from the Nordic music scene. Ranging across rock, pop noir, jazz and folk to electronica over the course of 11 solo albums, various collaborations, live albums and soundtrack work including The Last Kingdom, God of War and God of War Ragnarök, her musical path has revealed both a restless, explorative spirit and a singer deeply connected to her Faroese roots, earning her the Nordic Council Music Prize along the way.
It’s testament to the singular yet universal nature of her music that her fanbase has grown to include metalheads and the Norse pagan folk scene – for whom her startling voice, hide drum and throat-chant incantation, Trøllabundin, has become an unofficial anthem – as well as the mainstream, all instinctively understanding that music coming from a place of true authenticity knows no boundaries.
If Eivør’s last album, Enn, marked the beginning of a darker, more atmospheric phase, her forthcoming release, Tungl – the Faroese word for ‘moon’ – and her first for the powerhouse German metal label Nuclear Blast, sees her reach further into elemental realms than ever before. Immersive, unmoored and steeped in a sense of time-stretched drama where familiar marker points give way as an inner compass emerges over its 10 searching tracks, it’s an album also in tune with a very contemporary need for navigation, self-belief and rejuvenation in the most uncertain of times.
As Eivør herself says:
“Tungl explores the ever-changing cycles of life – its songs move between moments of tenderness and heartache, love and loss, and the emotional tides that shape us. Like the moon that inspired its title, Tungl serves as a gentle guide through life’s darker passages, illuminating the beauty, resilience, and transformation found along the way.”
