EXILIUM NOCTIS have returned more mature in 2025 with their second album, Pactum Diaboli, a dark and imposing work that explores themes such as religious conflict, the human soul, and the Faustian pact with Mephistopheles. The album delves into the concept of making deals with the devil, with the title Pactum Diaboli symbolizing the eternal struggle between temptation and the soul’s redemption. This album marked a progression in the band’s sound, incorporating more technical riffs and complex compositions. The title track, “Pactum Diaboli,” featured guest vocals by Henri Sattler of God Dethroned, adding significant depth to the song.

Swedish Melodic Heavy Rockers MOTHER MISERY drop New Single ‘The Predator‘.
The band informs about the new single “The Predator“: “‘The Predator’ was recorded in the same session as our last album ‘From Shadow To Ghost’. We felt the track had a different vibe to the rest of the songs and decided to keep it for a special release. When we invited David ‘DaKe’ Isberg, known for Blood Of Jupiter and as a founding member of Opeth, to add some of his deep growl to the song, it felt complete and even more special. The song has a driving riff, a mellow verse and a melodic chorus, along with a nice breakdown in the middle.”
Coincidentally with their ongoing “Myths Of Fate” European tour, symphonic Viking horde LEAVES’ EYES are pleased to announce that their ship has landed at the shores of Reigning Phoenix Music. Making a pact with the subversive metal label, the leading German metallers have found a welcoming new home for their future musical endeavours.
LEAVES’ EYES founder/vocalist Alex Krull states: “We’re really happy to share such fantastic news: LEAVES’ EYES have signed a long-term record deal with Reigning Phoenix Music! Being united with many companions and friends makes working with RPM very special to me! We’re looking forward to entering the next level with Sven, Jochen, Gerardo and the whole RPM family – we couldn’t be more excited! The Southern German metal empire strikes back!”
“I’m enormously pleased to welcome Viking metal pioneers LEAVES’ EYES at RPM. The musical roots of Alex and me go back to Ludwigsburg’s Rockfabrik, a place where many bands and rock/metal projects kick-started their careers. Collaborating with friends is always special, and that’s definitely the case here,” comments label owner Sven Bogner.
RPM managing director Jochen Richert adds: “I’ve known Alex for almost 40 years since we’ve already been meeting regularly at local youth centres back in the day. Our work relationship also lasts for about 35 years now. That’s why I’m very happy that LEAVES’ EYES and Reigning Phoenix Music are walking a common path now. It’s a classic example of ‘What belongs together, comes together’!”
After their foundation in 2003, LEAVES’ EYES took the scene by storm: the group undeniably hit a nerve of the metal world with their refreshing mixture of symphonic metal and historic Norse elements. Over the course of nine studio albums, the band extended their ever-growing fan base, performed on five continents, played many own headline tours and entered the stages of some of the most prestigious metal festivals around the globe.
But there’s more: To bridge the gaps between their studio albums, LEAVES’ EYES mostly continue writing material and thereby released multiple EP’s with some of them showing rare musical sides, for example acoustic recordings, of the sextet. And the current time is now exception: following their current success album “Myths Of Fate,” which hit no. 17 of the official German well as no. 66 of the official Swiss album chart among others, they’re preparing a brand new EP, which is set for release later this year via Reigning Phoenix Music. What it contains shall remain a secret for now, but you can be sure that LEAVES’ EYES next output will be nothing but another exciting addition to their musical journey through the Nordic saga world. With their amps on blast, they claimed every stage in their path, quickly earning a reputation for leaving chaos — and converted fans—behind them.
Once they’d conquered every inch of their homeland, the band set their sights on broader horizons, unleashing their electric storm on Spain and beyond. With relentless shows, OVERDRIVERS brought their raw, headbanging energy to rock lovers everywhere, proving that in the face of their All-Powerful Rock’N’Roll, resistance is futile!
Armed with a series of explosive releases—Rockin’ Hell (2016), She’s On Her Period (2018), and the Rock Out! EP—the band rallied thousands of followers and forged an unbreakable army of die-hard fans. Now, OVERDRIVERS has unleashed their most powerful weapon yet: “Glory Or Nothing”! This new album is set to drop like a bombshell, reigniting their worldwide crusade and solidifying their place as a force in modern rock. After the release of their fourth full-length record Nuklearth in 2020, the nuclear quintet Cytotoxin strike back with their fifth full-length Biographyte. The band continue their blast of a musical and lyrical concept, tackling the catastrophic incident at the Chernobyl power plant in 1986. The new offering will be released on 11th April, 2025.
Cytotoxin have now released the title track of the album which comes again in the form of an official music video.
The band comment on the single: “The title track itself reflects the situation of firefighters collecting graphite bricks on the night of the explosion, suffering irreversible damage to their skin and bodies—often resulting in fatalities. This scene is depicted in the album artwork, which portrays a liquidator carrying the weight of the reactor on his back. Biographyte also showcases the slamming and groovier side of Cytotoxin. The song, written in a Phrygian dominant scale, further ties back to the desert-themed album artwork.”
Cytotoxin have recently announced brand new EU/UK tour dates for April and May this year, together with Gutalax (on selected dates), Acranius, Necrotted and Osiah. A full list of confirmed shows can be found below.

On the night of 26th April, 1986 an explosion at the Chernobyl power plant changed the course of the world.
Inspired by this catastrophe, the German death metal band Cytotoxin emerged in 2010, bringing a new level of intensity to the genre. By fusing technical and brutal riffs while thematizing the devastating effects of the reactor disaster, they quickly drew attention in the scene. Their debut album, Plutonium Heaven (2011), was a self-produced powerhouse, followed by their second record, Radiophobia (2012), which secured them a three-album deal with American label Unique Leader Records.
Cytotoxin quickly gained a reputation for their explosive live performances and razor-sharp precision on their instruments. Their third album, Gammageddon (2017), solidified their place in the tech death community, while their fourth album, Nuklearth (2020), showcased their versatility and songwriting capabilities. Following numerous European tours and major festival shows, Cytotoxin just made their U.S. and Canadian debut in November 2024.
With their new record, Cytotoxin explore their roots and takes listeners on a journey through the radiated wasteland of Pripyat. Biographyte dedicates each song to a memorable location, thus narrating the biographical story of the tragic catastrophe in 1986 and those who were affected. Symbolically depicted in the cover artwork, humanity is doomed to carry the consequences of the reactor disaster with it for eternity.
Keep your gas mask ready, as the radiation spreads across the globe!
