Vocalist Kurwa Doktor was caught up being busy with sewing brand new patches onto his inner thigh skin, but had this to say about Disgust:
“After many delays and close-to-nervous-breakdowns our fifth album is out! Available on CD and vinyl, both limited editions. Again, the song lengths do not reach the magical 3 min limit, so in this time and age when everyone wants everything immediately we think that our songs serve as a perfect get-away for persons diagnosed with concentration problems. And the album is a very good soundtrack for sensual solo manoeuvres as well, if you like your act short and intensive.”

As the promotional tour for The Loss Of Beauty, our latest and most acclaimed album to date, it was an honor to bring these songs to life across 35 shows in 18 countries. Sharing the stage with monumental bands like Swallow The Sun and Draconian—huge inspirations for our music—was unforgettable. Despite the melancholy of their sound, they’re some of the most fun and genuine people we’ve met, and by the end of this epic journey, we were proud to call them friends.
We owe special thanks to our incredible crew—Petri, Matti, Mikko, and Tero—who ensured everything ran seamlessly and made this experience unforgettable. To pay homage to this extraordinary chapter, we decided to produce a live album. “The Loss of Beauty” is Shores Of Null’s fourth album and follows the acclaimed “Beyond The Shores (On Death And Dying)”, unanimously considered by fans and critics as one of the Doom Metal gems of recent years. The lyrics celebrate beauty in imperfection and transience and are meant to be an invitation to seek beauty in little things, especially those unexpected and ephemeral.
Stylistically, “The Loss of Beauty” continues along the sulcus set forth by “Quiescence” and “Black Drapes For Tomorrow”, its melancholic dark metal with a wide range of influences, from gothic metal to doom metal and melodic black/death metal, with frequent use of vocal harmonies and deep growls.
The album consists of 13 songs, while the LP version only contains 11, the two extra tracks are bonus tracks that can be found on the CD version as well as on the streaming platforms. Dark and heavy, tinged with feelings of despair and melancholy, “The Loss Of Beauty” was released on March 24th, 2023, and is recommended for fans of Swallow The Sun, Borknagar, and Paradise Lost.
Over the years, the band’s music has evolved to be more riff-driven, but beautiful melodies and technical musicianship continue to make the songs versatile and full of surprises. On this album, the band flirts with shades of melodeath, nu-metal, metalcore, and black metal, yet forms a cohesive and unique ensemble of genres.
The album addresses the weaknesses and problems of the human mind, delving into challenges that almost everyone faces at some point in their lives. However, ‘Consciousness’ is not just about gloom; it also includes many glimpses of hope.
The album was mainly produced by the band itself, which brings out their vision and energy in the best possible way. The mixing responsibility was carried by Mattias Ohlsson (MO Metal Productions), whose powerful and clear soundscape seamlessly integrates both heavy riffs and delicate details.
Dimman is a Finnish metal band whose story began in 2014, with their first official single, ‘Shattered’, released in 2016. Over the years, Dimman has released several singles, two EPs, and their debut album, ‘Songs and Tales of Grievance’, in 2021, gaining worldwide attention.
Dimman is now ready to unleash their second full-length album, ‘Consciousness’, which marks a significant milestone in their career, providing nine tracks of versatile compositions and remarkable musicianship.

Blues-rock powerhouse Joe Bonamassa is back with a brand-new single, “Shake This Ground,” out now via J&R Adventures. A bold, anthemic call to shake free from the past and present, the track pulses with raw intensity, pairing Bonamassa’s masterful guitar work with gripping storytelling and an unrelenting rhythm.
Co-written by Bonamassa and James House, “Shake This Ground” is about hitting a rough patch in a relationship and finding a way to shake things up before it’s too late. The song’s steady rhythm and heartfelt lyrics capture the moment when two people recognise the need to break out of a rut and get back to what made them strong in the first place. Bonamassa’s rich, expressive vocals bring both grit and warmth to the track, making every word feel real and lived-in. Lines like “Ain’t saying that I have all the answers, ‘cause I got more questions than I need” speak to the uncertainty that can creep into any relationship, while the powerful chorus is all about moving forward—a hopeful and inspirational reminder that it’s never too late to turn things around.
Produced by longtime collaborator Kevin Shirley (Iron Maiden, The Black Crowes, Journey), “Shake This Ground” expands Bonamassa’s ever-evolving sound while staying rooted in his blues-rock foundation and is the first glimpse from his upcoming new studio album slated for later this year. The track arrives on the heels of his recent collaboration with Sammy Hagar on the searing single “Fortune Teller Blues,” further cementing Bonamassa’s place at the forefront of modern blues.
“This is a song that James House and I wrote randomly that did not seem to find a home until almost a year later,” Bonamassa recalls. “I love the way James writes lyrics. The lines sing themselves and have a good amount of meaning now. All good songs find their time and place eventually.”
The release of “Shake This Ground” comes amid a whirlwind year for Bonamassa, who is currently on the road for his 2025 U.S. Tour, including a SOLD OUT show at The Beacon Theatre in New York City this week. Following his sold-out U.S. dates, Bonamassa will set sail on the 10th Anniversary Keeping the Blues Alive at Sea X Cruise (March 21-26), a premier floating blues festival featuring an all-star lineup, including Big Head Todd and the Monsters, Larkin Poe, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, Samantha Fish, Joanne Shaw Taylor and many more. For tour and more information visit www.jbonamassa.com.
This summer, Bonamassa will also return to Europe for a headline tour, followed by a run of dates with Black Country Communion, his hard-hitting supergroup with Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple, Trapeze), Jason Bonham (Sammy Hagar, Foreigner, Led Zeppelin), and Derek Sherinian (Dream Theater, Sons Of Apollo).
Beyond the stage, Bonamassa continues his mission to support music education and emerging artists through the Keeping The Blues Alive Foundation, providing scholarships, instruments, and funding for music programs. To date, the foundation has supported over 110,000 students in all 50 states, funded 700+ music projects and raised over $2.8 Million dollars. For more information visit www.ktba.org.

Critically acclaimed Texas based blues rock guitarist and vocalist Ally Venable will release her new single “Keep Me In Mind” via Ruf Records on Friday February 28th. The single is available on all streaming platforms HERE. Watch the official music video on YouTube HERE.
“Keep Me In Mind” is the second single taken from Ally´s forthcoming studio album Money & Power released by Ruf Records on Friday 18 April 2025. The album is available to pre-orderHERE.
“This beautiful love song captures the vulnerability and deep longing to be cherished and held in the mind of the one you care for,” says Ally. “The tender melody and emotive lyrics speak to the universal human experience of wanting to maintain that intimate connection, even when distance threatens to intervene. It’s a poignant and relatable track that will resonate with listeners.”
Rules are there to be broken. Expectations are there to be defied. Glass ceilings are there to be shattered. Having spent the past decade carving out her own unique space in the male-dominated world of blues-rock, Ally Venable’s combative sixth album, Money & Power, demands more of both – for herself, for women around the world, and for anyone else who thought they weren’t worthy of a seat at the table.
“Money & Power is such a strong statement, especially for women,” says the award-winning Texas gunslinger of her Nashville-recorded new release, on which Ally’s crack-squad band is joined by A-list guests Shemekia Copeland and Christone ‘Kingfish’ Ingram.
“All the songs on this album showcase the theme of what it truly means to be a force to be reckoned with. I want this record to wake people up,” continues Ally.
Money and power make the world go round. But in the right hands, music can be every bit as potent. Right now, on the heels of 2023’s acclaimed Real Gone – an album that hit #1 on the Billboard Blues Charts and was still in contention a year later – Ally is rated amongst the best young singer-songwriters in American roots, saluted by Total Guitar magazine in its poll of Top 100 Blues Guitarists.
“With her heels, sequins and Les Paul growling on a leash, she’s one of Ruf’s most head-turning young artists,” wrote Classic Rock, “and while the instrumental prowess can be taken as read, Real Gone marks a growing maturity in the Texan’s songcraft.”
In February 2024, with the dust still settling from Real Gone, the Money & Power sessions saw Ally and producer/drummer Tom Hambridge push through the doors of Nashville’s famous Soundstage Studios. And while the studio band was strictly A-list, as always, Ally’s new songs are the real stars. That attitude is palpable on opener Brown Liquor,” Ally’s battlecry decorated by a stinging guest guitar solo from the Mississippi hotshot Christone ‘Kingfish’ Ingram.
Maybe Someday” is a blissful moment of redemptive soul, carried along by horns and barbed lyrics aimed at an old flame. Next up is the white-hot title track, with Ally’s guitar set to scorch and a seething message. “Money & Power shouts to the masses,” she explains, “that women are not to be doubted in their ability to thrive in the world.”
Vital right to the end, Money & Power plays out with “Stepping Stone’s earthy roar of empowerment, the shuddering, spooky, tremolo-soaked groove of Feel That Sting, ” and the dustblown rocker “Unbreakable,” where Ally goes toe-to-toe with New York powerhouse Shemekia Copeland.
“That song spreads a message of women that have been oppressed,” she says, “to rise to the occasion and break above it all.” Money & Power is a modern roots record that plays by its own rules and marches to the beat of its own drum. The same could be said for Ally herself. “I’m thrilled to release this album,” she says. “For me, it’s a sonic embodiment of a woman’s unstoppable ambition, and really showcases my musicality on all fronts. I’m looking forward to seeing where this one will take me.”

AMON AMARTH‘s latest US journey follows their hugely successful Metal Crushes All Tour 2024 which included a monumental raid at the historic Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Denver as well as arena stops in Portland, Vancouver, Quebec City, Asheville, Tampa, and Anaheim as well as 2022’s The Great Heathen Tour which saw the band bring their full European production to arena shows in Los Angeles, Montreal and New York. The tour also marked the first time an extreme metal band headlined the iconic Kia Forum.
AMON AMARTH continues to tour in support of their critically adored The Great Heathen Army full-length. Recorded with esteemed studio guru Andy Sneap and released in 2022, the record represents another bold leap forward for the band, as their trademark sound undergoes yet another skillful, evolutionary overhaul, both lyrically and musically. From the noisily rabble-rousing “Find A Way Or Make One” and the pummeling, pugilistic “Get In The Ring” to the cinematic squall of the title track, The Great Heathen Army encapsulates the essence of this legendary band, while still allowing acres of space for new ideas.
Wrote Louder Sound of the offering, “The Great Heathen Army is simultaneously everything that helped AMON AMARTH climb to the top in the first place and a return to the darker, less showy sound of their early days… the band’s innate sense for fist-pumping riffs and colossal hooks remains impossible to deny.” Concurred Blabbermouth, “Both an unapologetic, festival-ready dose of new, gleaming, Viking-populated anthems, and one of the darkest and most brutal albums they have yet made, The Great Heathen Army feels celebratory, too – an extravagant blowout to mark the start of the next invasion.”
Formed in Tumba, Sweden, in 1992, AMON AMARTH has forged an extraordinary legacy over three decades of thunderous, anthemic metal, all rich in the magical imagery of Viking history, folklore and culture. With albums like 2008’s widely acclaimed Twilight Of The Thunder God and 2016’s conceptual triumph Jomsviking, the Swedes have been consistent standard bearers for heavy metal as a life-affirming and communal experience, armed with a seemingly endless stream of instant classic songs.
