“As a thank you for that, here is a small sample of what Ginger Evil is, what it looks like, and how it feels live on stage. Huge thanks to everyone who has embraced us. It feels good, hopefully, we’ll see you soon, wherever you are!”, they added.

Ginger Evil began as Moonshine Inc. in 2005, in a rehearsal room in Helsinki, Finland. After a couple of years of rehearsal and composing, a fruitless search for a singer meant the songs were put on ice. Meanwhile, guitarist Tomi Julkunen and bassist Veli Palevaara continued gigging in Finland with The Milestones, including arena shows with Deep Purple and Whitesnake. In the aftermath of their fifth album, those Moonshine Inc. songs from a decade back emerged from hibernation, so the search began again for a vocalist.
The powerful voice of Ella Tepponen was known to Tomi and Veli from many theatre and music projects, and drummer Toni Mustonen was already familiar to everyone. Jamming together found a shared musical passion, and a group creative process soon flourished. Ginger Evil was born.
“From Foo Fighters to Fleetwood Mac,” is how the band hears their music, with singer Ella bringing a whole new kind of twist to their rock expression. Once the band got together and songs were taking shape, on board jumped music producer and film director Richard Stanley, known for his work with The Who and John Lennon, heard demos of Ginger Evil and was inspired to co-write lyrics.
In 2022 Ginger Evil signed a deal with Frontiers Music Srl. (Def Leppard, Lynyrd Skynyrd, TOTO, Whitesnake, Skunk Anansie). Debut album “The Way It Burns” was released on February 14, 2025. Organic and fresh sounding album was something that rock fans had been waiting for since the 90’s; something familiar, something new, something that got their asses shaking once more!

Following a previously-released first single – the epic 18minutes album opening track “The River” – today, the heavy psychedelia rock collective has shared a music video for their latest single “The Radiant”. Just exclusively premiered with The Obelisk, the stunning new Temple Fang clip is now streaming at:
“There’s an engaging hook delivered in harmonized layers, and with “The Radiant,” Temple Fang position themselves among Europe’s finer prog-psych.” – JJ Koczan (The Obelisk) about Temple Fang’s new single “The Radiant”
Forming in 2018, Temple Fang really started hitting their stride in 2019 with, amongst many others, two highly acclaimed Roadburn shows and appearances at many festivals and clubs across Europe. Having no release out yet and thus creating much anticipation to what their recorded output would end up like. With alternating lead vocalists, two wildly harmonizing guitarists, a powerhouse of a rhythm-section, and armed with truly psychedelic compositions fueled by their exposure to South American plant-medicine, the band took the heavy-psych underground by storm and seemed to be gearing up to bottle this magick and commit it to their studio debut. And then 2020 happened.
During the pandemic the band stayed as active as possible, appearing on whatever live-streams they could, resulting in well received appearances on Eurosonic and National Dutch Television, creating even more buzz. A string of seated shows followed, whatever it took to keep playing.
Losing their original drummer, the band continued on with a replacement post-covid, putting out a half live/half studio album (Fang Temple 2021), an EP (Jerusalem/The Bridge 2022), multiple live albums (Live at Merleyn 2020, Live at Freak Valley 2023, Live at Krach am Bach 2024), and playing a seemingly endless string of shows from Oslo to Milan, hitting many festivals in between. Roadburn, Desertfest Berlin, Sonic Blast (twice), Palp and countless others were exposed to the magick of this true free rock n’ roll phenomenon, leaving audiences stunned and clamouring for more.
Fast forward to 2025 as Temple Fang is ready to release “Lifted from the Wind” on Stickman Records. A record they themselves consider to be their true debut studio album. On this sprawling double record, released on the only label they would give up their independence for, Temple Fang appears, for the first time in their existence, fully formed.
Fierce and strong, hard rocking yet elegant, with 20min+ psych freakouts and prog ballads side-by-side, Temple Fang truly delivers on the promise they’ve always held, to really stretch the possibilities of what it means to be a rock band in 2025. With spectacular wild-man Daan Wopereis as a full member on the drums, Temple Fang now can deliver on their commitment to really rock, to blow your mind AND tear your heart out. Rock n’ Roll as a means to attaining spiritual freedom. Mind-bending riffs, triple vocal harmonies, dubbed out bass and groovy yet hard hitting drums, ecstatically rocking and truly psychedelic, Temple Fang delivers it all with LOVE. Longform rock for fans of Motorpsycho, The Grateful Dead, Hawkwind and Hendrix!
In support of “Lifted from the Wind”, Temple Fang have been confirmed to return to Roadburn, to play this year’s Spark on Wednesday, 16 April, and will embark on an extensive European tour this Spring. Find all upcoming live dates listed below!

DISSENTOR weaves this narrative through Aquib, Vedanta, Arun, and Krzysztof in the debut EP “Flagella” portraying the unspoken corrupted path to purification, of a belief in a saviour, awaiting in the perfect irony, becoming an absurdist trap between worship and torment.
Composing within the lightless Delhi dungeons, Aquib chanced upon Vedanta after a decade of no contact on a lifeless afternoon of 2020, sharing opposing worldviews of internalised mass belief and hypocrisy, that would lead to their first ever collaboration, DISSENTOR. Arun soon joined to offer subterranean lows in complete atonal despair, while Krzysztof became the final piece, lending his finesse to percuss through the EP’s oceanic chaos.
Songs for debut EP titled “Flagella” were composed, written, engineered and produced by Aquib Rahman. EP was mixed and mastered by Aquib Rahman. Cover artwork was done by Peapounder. Drum parts were recorded by Polish well known drummer Krzysztof Klingbein who is drummer of Totenmesse, live drummer of Austrian Belphegor and in the past was working with such great bands as Vader, Hate, Batushka, Kranium and more.

MAD INVASION (featuring special guest Mikkey Dee)release their second album “Crack In The Sky”on April 25 via Border Music. The band’s combination of classic 70’s/80’s hard rock with a contemporary sound, delivers a distinct and unique listening experience that makes them stand out in the musical landscape. The new album is a natural progression of the band’s trademark sound with the exciting addition of also being available in a concept version.
“Crack In The Sky”is masterfully crafted and refined mix of melody and destruction, with sing-along choruses and hooky guitar melodies being contrasted by crushingly heavy guitar riffs on a solid bedrock of drums and bass.
Says guitarist and co-producer Hal Marabel of the new album, “It took a while for us to produce this album, as we wanted to get the songs right and further develop our sound. We experimented quite a bit and continuously iterated sound versions until we were fully satisfied that we had exactly the sound that we wanted. It was quite important for us to nail down the balance between the more traditional elements of classic rock with utilizing available technology and our creativity.”
Check out this studio report going through the set up and sound approach.
Regarding the participation of Mikkey Dee on the album, Hal continues, “It was great to have Mikkey on board for this album, his trademark style of playing added an extra dimension to the songs andfinal product, and he’s a great guy to hang out with as well – not to mention all his fun stories to his touring days with al the bands he has played with.”
