Italian funeral death doom entity TETRAMORPHE IMPURE will unveil its debut album “The Sunset of Being” on April 18th 2025 via Aesthetic Death.
The album track “Night Chants” is now streaming HERE.
Hailing from the Alpine north of Italy, TETRAMORPHE IMPURE is the creation of Damien, an experienced musician and former member of Mortuary Drape. After a series of underground releases, TETRAMORPHE IMPURE emerge from years of dormancy to bring forth its first full-length creation. Melding the profound weight of funeral doom, old school death metal and early doom-death. Monolithic and crushing in it’s sonic core, “The Sunset of Being” brings forth vast soundscapes draped in despondent, shuddering riffwork.
Both nostalgic and reflective in its essence, TETRAMORPHE IMPURE create a brooding, despondent atmosphere, evoking the spirit of the early 90’s through the lens of funeral death doom and old school death metal.
As Damien explains, “…this album is a procession through darker corners of human experience. We intend to submerge the listener in a meditative state where they can reflect on the transient nature of existence, its desolation and dread. Work on these songs has taken over two years, with a focus on intentionally capturing the right feel and atmosphere in each moment. I would spend days experimenting with sounds until every passage had the raw intensity that I was aiming for. Bands like Decomposed, Disembowelment, Dusk, Evoken, Mournful Congregation, and Esoteric have left a big mark on my way of making music. Yet the inspiration of bands such as Dead Can Dance (especially ‘Within the Realm of a Dying Sun’) and Swans, plus being a huge fan of early Swedish and Finnish death metal – Demigod, Demilich, Convulse, Abhorrence, Gorement, Crematory, etc – are quite evident in our new album, adding a contrasting and primal edge to the sound.”
“The Sunset of Being” was co-produced, mixed and mastered by Alex Sedin.

Craig Cairns comments on the new single:
“It has been great to work on the Nightsteel project, the songs are full of power and heavy metal, just as they should be. My favourite track to sing has to be ‘Eternal Fight’ the vocals were a joy to record and the guitar work on that song really stands out. If you haven’t checked it out already make sure to go and do so“.

Their combination of heavy riffs, amazing solos, and catchy melodies makes their music absolutely captivating. It’s the perfect album to take you back to the days when metal was loud and heavy!
Travis Wills says on the album:
“When Bill approached me and showed me the Nightsteel dog, I was taken back, and thought, man this is really good. Once I got into the studio and started laying vocals, I could see the songs come to life. After every song was done, I thought, this is a hit… excellent writing and melodies. The music and playing is very well executed. I am glad that he reached out to me to be a part of his journey, a very fun journey. I hope everyone likes it as much as I do!“
Igor Paspalj states:
“It was my pleasure to collaborate and contribute with my guitar solos on these 2 songs. It was great experience, especially because of that particular the style of music which I’ve grow up to. Both songs had very nice chord progressions which allowed me to express myself, and hopefully contribute to them in a good way!“
Mauro Elias notes:
“Honestly I had a blast recording your songs! Every session was fun, great music, great vibes, and just an all-around metal experience. It was awesome bringing these amazing songs to life!“
Mastermind &songwriter Bill shares:
“I have been fortunate to work with a number of talented musicians who have helped me bring my musical vision to life. The journey was long with many challenges, but I had a really good time bringing these songs to life! I hope you enjoy the songs as much as we enjoyed recording them! Nightsteel is here to stay… Stay Metal!“

About NIGHTSTEEL:
NIGHTSTEEL is a band-new Greek metal band that embodies the spirit of classic 80s metal, reviving the magic of the genre in a very special way. Their music will take you back to the old glory days of the 80’s when heavy metal music was on top of the game!
It all started back in 2022 with an idea that songwriter & bassist Bill Sam had and that is how NIGHTSTEEL was born. While working on some old demo songs along with new ones, he asked his friend and drummer Mike Foudotos to join the band and take the project to the next level.
After working with some local vocalists, Bill decided to go a step further and work with some of the most notable and up-and-coming vocalists in the metal scene. He first contacted Travis Wills (Crimson Glory, Infidel Rising), who was blown away by the songs and agreed to sing on the album. Unfortunately, due to Travis’ busy recording and touring schedule, he wasn’t able to finish all of the songs, so Bill also enlisted Craig Cairns (Tailgunner, ex Induction), Rob Lundgren (Reveal, Mystery Moon), and Mauro Elias to sing on the remaining songs. In addition, the virtuoso guitar player Igor Paspalj (Guitarist of the Year 2020 by Guitar World and Guitar Player magazines), agreed to play solos on two songs. The line-up was completed with Jasmin C. on guitars and keys.
NIGHTSTEEL are: Bill Sam – Bass, songwriting, backing vocals Travis Wills – Vocals, backing vocals Igor Paspalj – Lead guitars Jasmin M. – Guitars, keys Craig Cairns – Vocals, backing vocals Rob Lundgren – Vocals, backing vocals Mauro Elias – Vocals, backing vocals Mike Foudotos – Drums
The Divided States Of Hysteriais a sonic manifesto diving into themes of addiction, identity, societal pressures, self-reflection, and the complex duality of human nature. Synths, guitars, bass, and drums collide to create an intense sonic palette that mirrors the album’s themes of internal and external chaos. The Plague combines raw and vulnerable lyrics, with complex soundscapes showcasing his unparalleled ability to blend emotive lyrics with powerful instrumentation. The album captures The Plague’s signature blend of rock, hard rock, and alternative influences, delivering tracks that are as energetic as they are thought-provoking. From powerful synths to driving guitars and thunderous drums, the instrumentation provides a dynamic backdrop for lyrics that tackle deeply personal and universal themes.
Featuring singles like “Man Machine or Beast” that challenges the impact of technology on our relationships, while “Predator” confronts humanity’s darker instincts. “Float Right On By” is a poignant reflection on selfishness and the search for redemption and “Clean Slate” is a heartfelt anthem of renewal and forgiveness. While “Right Back Down” is a firestorm featuring thrashing guitars, brutal vocals, as an intense exploration of a relationship that ends without warning. The Divided States Of Hysteria is a deep and honest exploration of the human condition.
Releasing with the album is “Say What You Want To Say” which premiered yesterday at Revolver Mag. In The Plague‘s own words, “I spend a ton of time in the studio, and its VERY easy to get critical voices coming in and criticizing me. I started to ask myself where do these voice come from and tell them to f off! I started to realize that a lot of hater say the same things as the voices in my head which really leads me to believe its a universal spiritual attack. This song is flipping the bird to that whole attitude. The lyric “I can’t put the beat to the music” was originally intended as a place holder but it grew on me. I thought it was kind of cool to leave a lyric that was a reference lyric in a song where the spirit is just go for it and don’t think to much. It was funny because “beat to the music” is not a title i want for obvious reasons, so then the nest hook line was “say my name” also had the same problems lol. We went with ‘Say What You Want To Say,’ that passes the sexual innuendo test.”

The Plague is the brainchild of producer/engineer David Adam Monroe, a pioneer of Future Punk. The Plague’s post-apocalyptic themes portray the struggles of being human, encouraging people to break free of the superficial and to know they are not alone.
David has been playing music from an early age, highly encouraged by his parents, he received an electric guitar at age ten and took off emulating his favorite bands at the time; Greenday, Smashing Pumpkins, and other 90’s rock bands. His career took off at age 16 when a promoter got his high school band on the Van’s Warped Tour.
As a producer/engineer, David has produced records with many artists including Glen Matlock from the Sex Pistols and multi-platinum engineer Earl Cohen. As a musician, he has toured internationally–including 4 years on Van’s Warped Tour— and has played with bands such as Tony Levin, My Chemical Romance, Story of the Year, NoFx, The Used, Yellow Card, Three Days Grace, and many more. The Plague‘s debut album Hope For the F.U.T.U.R.E. was released independently in 2017.
In 2018 The Plague remixed Circle Of Dust’s “Embracing Entropy” (feat. Celldweller), through artist-owned record label FiXT. The Plague eventually signed to FiXT in 2022, and re-released the debut album with remastered tracks, new art as well as bonus tracks throughout the 2023.
“My goal with The Plague was to make futuristic Christian rock, when I was producing bands in Boston, my assistant showed me Celldweller and said, “This guy is dope and reminds me of you!” I chased Celldweller’s blend of synths and guitars, and that exploration process helped me discover my own sound. When I finished the record I emailed James (FiXT Manager) with the spirit of a little brother and said, “Hey James, look! I self-produced a futuristic rock record that I’m releasing on my label! You guys inspired this!” By some wonderful miracle he was excited too!” – The Plague
Rising heavy blues powerhouse DEAD GROOVE, born from the creative crucible of 2020’s lockdown, announce their sophomore EP Rubicon, set for release on March 21, 2025. Pressed on crystal clear 10″ vinyl, it features the powerful new tracks “Fire” and “The Damned,” alongside a distinctive cover of Motörhead’s “Ace of Spades.”
It is foreshadowed today by the band’s new single, a tumultuous live recording of “The Book Of The Dead.”
Born as a pandemic collaboration between drummer Fred Aching and bassist/vocalist Holly West, Dead Groove has evolved into one of the scene’s most promising acts. The band, completed by guitarist Cesar “Cags” Salaverry, brings together decades of professional experience, including West’s current role with Zepparella, Salaverry with the Peruvian band Mauser, and Aching’s performances with Kings of Thrash alongside David Ellefson, Powerflo and Bullet Boys.
The successor to the band’s acclaimed self-titled debut album, Rubicon represents a significant evolution in Dead Groove’s musical journey. The EP’s title, referencing the historic point of no return, perfectly captures the band’s commitment to pushing their sonic boundaries – the trio describe it as presenting “a more polished iteration of Dead Groove’s signature sound while maintaining the raw energy fans have come to expect.”
Their interpretation of Motörhead’s “Ace of Spades” demonstrates Dead Groove’s artistic vision. By deliberately slowing the tempo and incorporating their characteristic groove, the band has created a fresh interpretation that both honors the original and establishes their unique musical identity.
The EP’s creative process highlights the band’s collaborative strength, with Aching and Salaverry crafting the instrumental framework while West contributes her distinctive vocals and lyrical artistry. Drawing from influences including Black Sabbath’s heavy blues foundation, Deep Purple’s progressive complexity, and the melodic innovation of King’s X, Dead Groove continues to forge their own path in modern heavy music.
To celebrate the release, Dead Groove are performing at the legendary Whisky A Go Go on Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood on March 23rd, opening for King’s X. The band will be available for interviews throughout the upcoming month to discuss their music, creative process, and future projects.
German progressive rockers Everon release ‘Shells,’ their first new album in 16 years, via Music Theories Recordings. To celebrate they have revealed the lyric video for their latest single, “Until We Meet Again.”
“Until We Meet Again” stands up as one of the most heart-on-sleeve songs on the album. The lyrics refer to the passing of Everon drummer, Moschus. “Musically, this song is rather uptempo and positive in vibe, so in a way, the lyrics make a bit of a strange fit here,” Oliver Philipps reflects. “But the truth is that this was the last song I wrote for this album, and while I was working on it, I got the news that Moschus, our lifelong friend, had been found dead in his home. The words came automatically; in this case, I even tried to argue with it because I wasn’t sure the topic was fitting with the music, but I couldn’t find anything else, so I suppose the lyrics just belonged with the song.”
“It was completely out of the blue,” Philipps sighs. “He wasn’t sick or anything. He was just found dead. It was a cardiac arrest or one of these things. The reason I chose to finish the album at all was that he’d already recorded drums for eight of the songs. If it had happened half a year earlier, I wouldn’t have chosen to make an album. I’d been pondering over should I, shouldn’t I for quite some time.”
Talking about music and its ability to relate, he considers, “At the core of it, I think every song is an emotion transformed into a piece of music; you cannot break it down to notes or words only; there is more to it. I believe this emotional content that a song carries, makes a listener resonate or not resonate with it. The same song may make one person cry, another won’t feel a thing when hearing it. I don’t think there is much you can do intentionally to make sure people will relate to it; the best that I can do is to be true to my emotions and put that into the music so there is emotional content in there that somebody can relate to. Once you put the music out there, you have to let go of it; how people respond to it or who will get to hear it is not in my hands.”
Following Moschus’s passing, US drummer Jason Gianni entered the fray, guesting on the drum tracks that Moschus did not complete.
The recently revealed previous single “Guilty As Charged” where the song “Lyrically deals with self-judgement/regrets,” Philipps explains. In December, the band announced their return with, “No Embrace.” “That made a good opening track because it is straight forward and accessible, it has a more positive energy than some of the other songs that are darker in tone or mood,” he adds about the first taster from the album.
‘Shells’, an album bristling with energy and verve, encapsulating everything that made Everon such a force to be reckoned with in the first place. With songs like the ebullient opener ‘No Embrace’ and the complex patterns of ‘Broken Angels’, the quirk of ‘Pinocchio’s Nose’ and the more heartfelt tones of ‘Monster’, or the epic 14-minute grandeur of closing track ‘Flesh’, Everon have rarely sounded so good. Defiantly old school packed full of progressive flourishes and Philipps’ innate sense of melody set the band apart from many of their peers all those years ago.
“The band never quit. It was a hiatus,” Philipps explains as he is sitting in his recording studio, talking about the new Everon Record. “Everon didn’t retire or anything, and we never even talked about it,” Philipps reasons. “I always wrote all the music and the lyrics. So that would mean if I didn’t do anything, we wouldn’t do anything. After ‘North’, it just didn’t happen.”
“I’ve been working as a producer with other artists through all the years,” explains Philipps, working with artists such as Delain, Charlotte Wessels, progressive metallers Ad Infinitum and Wolverine, Italian progressive outfit THE ONEIRA, LEAH, Angel, and Imperia—the latter vocalists appear on the new album.
It’s been sixteen years and now we have ‘Shells’ – Twelve tracks of quality, highly melodic, progressively inclined rock for people to enjoy. It’s certainly good to have Everon back.
“I had a list of ideas. I’d been writing hundreds of songs between these albums, but there was not one thing I had in mind to fit with Everon. I blocked February to April, and once I started writing, it all came naturally. It was an enjoyable process. I didn’t know what to expect because I didn’t have a plan. It was no use trying to make it match what we did before. It was so long ago. I just thought I’d see what came out. And that’s what came out. But it was not by intention.”
Hurt and regret run in the veins of the album. “I think it is a bit in the nature of the kind of music we’re doing that it is rather the darker type of emotions that will find a place on an Everon album,” he considers. “Feelings of hurt or loss are very intense emotions, and for some reason, in music, I was always more gravitating towards the darker stuff rather than happy songs. The song ‘Shells’ is an example of that and comes from one of the darker corners of my mind. It is a very sad song. It would feel inappropriate to explain the background story, but it doesn’t need the background story to be able to relate to it. “
