Acts of Madness is a comeback worthy of the standard-bearer of the entire genre and an album that will strongly resonate within the metal community worldwide. The album showcases the band’s ability to evolve the AIRFORCE sound while staying true to their signature style, that has defined them for decades. Created during challenging times, the album represents a bold step forward for the band, blending their hard rock and heavy metal influences into a powerful collection of tracks. With 11 songs and nearly an hour of material, the album delivers the epic, arena-worthy sound that fans have come to expect from AIRFORCE!
Despite the adversity the band faced, including the global pandemic and the tragic loss of their producer and close friend Pete Franklin, the band forged ahead with unwavering determination. The project took a poignant turn after Franklin’s passing, as the band lost many of the original recordings. Fortunately, longtime collaborator Jezz Coad stepped in to help bring the album to completion. Coad, who originally worked with AIRFORCE in the 1980s, was instrumental in shaping the final product. This album stands as a tribute to Franklin, whose influence is felt throughout the tracks.
Recorded initially at his studio in 2020, the production was delayed due to the pandemic, resulting in the loss of much of the material. However, the band’s resilience ensured the album was finished,
with demos salvaged from previous sessions. The result is an album that feels deeply personal to the band, encapsulating both their struggles and triumphs. Fans of AIRFORCE can expect a powerful, emotionally charged listening experience, with the grandeur of heavy metal that’s perfect for large arenas! A recent performance at the Movistar Arena in Bogotá, Colombia, reaffirmed the band’s place in the metal scene, as fans responded enthusiastically to both classic hits and new material from the album. Dedicated to Pete Franklin, this album captures the heart and soul of AIRFORCE ’s journey, ensuring his legacy will live on through their music.
In support of Acts of Madness, AIRFORCE have announced a live appearance at Harder than Rock Festival 2025 in Zagreb, Croatia, on March 8, 2025, with many more club and festival appearances to follow soon!
“Weathered Axe” is the savage new single from London, England, black metal punks FINAL DOSE. The song, now streaming exclusively at Black Metal Daily, is the latest single preceding the band’s blistering new LP, “Under the Eternal Shadow“.
With an inception heading back to the year 2020, UK’s FINAL DOSE have built a reputation from its feral blend of black metal’s icy malevolence and the raw, uncompromising power of punk through the release of a demo, an EP and a full-length album in 2023.
With the experience of touring across the US and Europe granted by the excellent reception of aforementioned “Void Inside”, FINAL DOSE return with a vengeance, a bone-crushing slab of savagery and frostbitten fury entitled “Under the Eternal Shadow”.
Merging Black Metal and Punk is not in any way a novelty, however few acts have managed to imply the solid edge of both approaches in a such a vehemently organic fashion as the UK horde. From the very first seconds of opener “Eternal Winter”, a clear, powerful, in-your-face production compels the razor-sharp virulent riffs to gleam and cut through the ether like an electrical storm, whereas pounding fast beats function as a taser for the body, a remarkably pulsing mania which serves as a marching order for the wild raging vocals, a performance which renders gist to each word yelled in anguish.
But, beware. “Under the Eternal Shadow”’s ornamentation is yet provided by various elements such as Dungeon Synth and Folk, details that supply the record with more than a Black Metal/Punk substance. The brilliant slower moments offer an extra dose of bleakness and despair to the filthy fury, together with the lugubrious clean chords, filled with disheartening melody. These traits blazingly give shape to the lyrical concept of the album, the pain and gloom of mental decline, the misery of the societal ravishingly decay. This layer of mournfulness genuinely confers momentum to FINAL DOSE’s art, a sense of impending doom which sticks to the brain and captures the heart, making “Under the Eternal Shadow” much more than a musical record, but a tome of inspiration through the ashes of the world’s turmoil and dismay.
Wolves of Hades is proud to be releasing on April 11th these hymns of total blackened debauchery on LP / CD / MC and Digitally.

Emerging progressive metal visionaries BlackLight invites listeners on an emotive journey with their introspective single “So Far Away,” a haunting track from their upcoming conceptual album Future Belongs To, set for release on March 21, 2025, via Wormholedeath Records.
“So Far Away” combines haunting introspection with melancholic undertones, blending themes of reflection, regret, and a longing for clarity. Its poetic ambiguity allows listeners to draw their own meanings while immersing themselves in BlackLight’s signature sound—a mesmerizing fusion of soft, dark wave elements with their progressive metal roots. The track’s atmospheric instrumentation creates a deeply emotive experience that envelopes the listener, leaving a lasting impact.
“Future Belongs To” is a progressive metal conceptual album and a remarkable progressive rock album that showcases BLACKLIGHT’s solid and cohesive artistry. Drawing inspiration from iconic acts like Opeth, Rush, Tool, Dead Can Dance, and fellow countrymen Riverside, the band weaves these influences into a unique and captivating sound that defines their identity. This album is worth discovering.
Formed in 2019 by Maciej Majewski, BlackLight quickly carved out a unique progressive metal sound. Their debut album, Follow the Future, recorded in Kraków’s Studio 13 and Studio Centrum, was well-received by fans and critics, leading to live performances on Antyradio’s Makakofonia and other major stations.
In 2021, the band recorded their second album, River of Time, released by Metal Rock Promotion in early 2022. A lineup change in late 2023 saw drummer Stanisław Skowroński join, with Majewski taking over vocals. With this refreshed lineup, BlackLight recorded Future Belongs To, a conceptual album set for release by Wormholedeath.
“The album and title Track “Hva nå?” reflects the emotions surrounding today’s political climate, where those in power refuse to act or even acknowledge the injustice unfolding in Palestine. In the face of desperation, all we can do is raise our voices.”
The Norwegian folk rock band MÍOproudly announces their upcoming album, “Hva nå?”, set for worldwide release on May 9, 2025, via By Norse Music.
MÍO is a six strong ensemble who draws rich inspiration from Norwegian rock, punk, and folk music featuring hardanger fiddle with fuzz and a vast arsenal of folk instruments from around the world. Their previous album “Ingen tid å miste” (“No Time to Waste”), earned the top spot on The Nordic Sound as “Best Nordic Release”.
With 12 captivating tracks, this album promises a blend of musical elements that fuses melodic Norwegian folk with an extensive mix of genres such as playful progressive rock, heavy doom, and high-energy punk. In addition the album captures the atmosphere in today’s political climate. “Hva nå?” is more than an album—it’s a reflection of our uncertain times.
To kick off this exciting release, the band will unleash their dynamic title track, ‘Hva nå?’, as the album’s single. The track is a powerful statement, blending intricate melodies with a bold, defiant energy that captures the essence of MÍO’s fearless musical identity.
Vocalist Dionisia Fjelldalen explains: “I have never felt such immense desperation and anger as when we wrote “Hva nå?” (“What Now?”). This boiling frustration stemmed from witnessing a genocide and feeling completely powerless to act. In a world where people in positions of power neither act nor dare—or even want—to acknowledge the injustice being inflicted on the people of Palestine right now, you are left feeling desperate. The only thing you can do is raise your voice, and we want everyone to use the voice they have! That’s all we could do, and that overwhelming sense of apathy drove us to write this song, even though words often feel inadequate”

Biography MÍO:
«Restless folk rock from and for a chaotic world, breaking all boundaries!»
The Norwegian band MÍO has earned a reputation as one of the underground’s most exceptional and captivating live experiences. With a lead vocalist who grabs hold of the listener and refuses to let go – delivering raw vocal power and an immense stage presence, supported by a tight, playful, and energetic band. The result an unforgettable musical force.
MÍO draws rich inspiration from Norwegian rock, punk, and folk music featuring hardanger fiddle with fuzz and a vast arsenal of folk instruments from around the world. The music is hard-hitting without losing balance with its more dynamic sides. MÍO explores Norwegian folk music in many innovative ways – through tonality and lyrical pictures. Melodies shine through with a strong folk identity, using teqniques such as vocal- and fiddle trills. The lyrics draw inspiration from timeless images in folk tales, mixed with the sharp-edge and frankness from punk and rock – addressing current themes that navigate between society, politics and human emotions. MÍO brings something new to the folk universe with their unique genre fusion. It´s fierce, bold, and progressive, yet versitile and engaging with a broad appeal – this is groundbreaking norwegian folk rock like never heard before.
With roots in Oslo’s punk and rock scene, MÍO has a very different homebase than other folk music projects. The band was founded in 2019 by vocalist Dionisia Fjelldalen and bassist Marianne Friisberg Larssen, who met while studing music at High School in Oslo and bonded over their love for rock and folk music. After a year of writing songs as a duo, they expanded into a full band and jazz-drummer Eilif Hallingstad Finnseth from Sortland joined and became a permanent member of the band.
Their first EP, «MÍO», was released in April 2020. Due to COVID restrictions the release concert was changed to a livestream and the activity was more or less put on hold – MÍO wasn´t able to reach it´s full live potential. During studies vocalist Dionisia Fjelldalen met fiddle player Maja Hveding Styffe studying Musical Science at the Oslo University, who joined the band as the new fiddleplayer in late 2020. Maja Hveding Styffe grew up in Oslo, with a family of both punk enthusiasts and classically trained musicians. Despite the pandemic restrictions the following years, MÍO still managed to play 14 concerts between 2019 and 2021, with a strong eager to play for a live audience.
In January 2022, the band line-up was complete and MÍO became the sextet it is today. Guitarist Jakob Nome and multi-instrumentalist Hennie Hagen Johnsen joins in, and the creative energy and rock influences in the band grows even stronger. Jakob Nome has a background both from prog rock and classical music, and Hennie Hagen Johnsen (who was originally brought in as a keyboard-player) brings in a big collection of folk instruments from around the world. Hennie continually enrichens the band’s musical landscape by expanding the instrumental line-up with accordion, key harp, flute, banjo, baglama, sitar, langeleik, and more.
When restrictions eased in 2022, the band responded with a series of five concerts over just three months at Oslo’s legendary underground punk venue – Blitz, where they opened for the American folk-punk band Bridge City Sinners in july 2022. Blitz is and has been a cornerstone for Oslo’s underground music scene for over four decades, and became a home base for MÍO, where they felt a strong sense of belonging.
On June 9, 2023, MÍO released their debut album, «Ingen tid å miste», on Lilith Records, receiving widespread acclaim for bringing something fresh to the Norwegian music scene. The album earned the top spot on The Nordic Sound as “Best Nordic Release” and Dagsavisen´s critic Mode Steinkjer called the music: “Restless folk rock for and from a chaotic world, with virtuosic details and an approach to raw musical foundations that breaks all boundaries!”
They followed the album release with an impressively active live presence – touring all across of Norway in 2023 and 2024. Performing on stages like Parkteatret in Oslo, Hulen in Bergen, UFFA in Trodheim, Rockeklubben in Porsgrunn, as well as at festivals such as Midgardsblot in Horten, Telemarksfestivalen in Bø, Rock mot Rus in Andenes, Pride in Oslo, and Pøbelrock in Trondheim. When playing at Midgardsblot 2023, journalist Tina Solda from Stalker Magazine wrote with great enthusiasm:
«A true newcomer, the Oslo-based sextet had only a few weeks earlier released its debut album, but took to the stage like they had never done anything else. Their bold mixture of elements ranging from Norwegian folk to punk, progressive rock and even jazz sounded utterly fresh and original, and the powerful vocals and total physical abandon of singer Dionisia Fjelldalen was rewarded by very active participation from the audience. Top recommendation!»
