Ahead of its release this Friday on the twisted Time To Kill Records roster, today No Clean Singing presents an exclusive stream of “Invisible Threads”, the merciless new LP from Italian death metal crew ACROSS THE SWARM.
“Invisible Threads” is due out February 21st 2025 through Time To Kill Records.
This new record follows their acclaimed 2020 album “Projections” and marks a powerful return that delves deeper into the raw, unfiltered aggression that has earned the band a dedicated following in the Italian metal scene.

“Invisible Threads” is a sonic assault that penetrates the darkest depths of existence. This album explores themes of human degradation, unspoken fears, and wars that ravage not only bodies but also minds. A fierce manifestation of death metal, “Invisible Threads” overwhelms the listener with a crescendo of sonic brutality and raw emotions—an unrelenting frontal impact from the first to the last track, destined to leave a lasting mark.
“We wanted to capture the essence of the shadows that dwell within each of us,” explains frontman Francesco. “The composition of ‘Invisible Thread’s was a brutal and visceral process. Every note, every word is an invisible thread connecting these shadows to the reality around us. Additionally, renowned Italian street artist SNEM was fully involved in the creative process, visually translating the album’s concept into artwork that amplifies and reflects both the music and the lyrics. This album is an invitation to confront your innermost self and dive deep, all the way to the bottom”.

Bulgarian metal band Odd Crew unveils acoustic versions of two songs from their Dark Matters series. New Waters and Farewell mark the band’s first new acoustic releases since their 2019 album, The Lost Pages. Recorded earlier this year at Odd Crew’s own ButcherHouse Studio, these versions bring a fresh perspective on the band’s signature sound. The accompanying video was filmed by director Petar Dimov, who has been the creative force behind the visuals for all three previously released parts of Dark Matters.
“ As a band we’ve always loved to get an acoustic guitar and just sit, play and sing. A lot of our songs have started this way and “Dark Matters” is no exception. Now we get to experience some of those songs as if we’re on a desert island at night just waiting to be saved. We love making these versions as they bring very intimate feelings in the process of writing and performing them.”
The Dark Matters Acoustic Sessions highlight Odd Crew’s versatility, stripping their sound down to its purest form and allowing fans to connect with the music on a deeper, more personal level.
The new acoustic versions of New Waters and Farewell arrive just in time for the band’s upcoming acoustic tour across their homeland, Bulgaria, where fans will have the chance to experience these intimate renditions live in a series of special, up-close performances.
ODD CREW also have a new UK Show date lined up (rescheduled from earlier date), they’ll be playing Downstairs at The Dome on 24th May, with Special Guests MAB. UK Show: 24th May, Downstairs at The Dome, Tufnell Park, London. Doors 7pm.
At the end of 2024, Sofia-based progressive rock band Odd Crew released their new studio album, ‘Dark Matters – Part III’. Following seven much acclaimed full-length records, two DVDs and countless live shows over more than two decades, ‘Dark Matters – Part III’ sees Odd Crew continue where they left off with Part II: Elevating their musical maturity on a new level, and one that doubles down on the band’s songwriting skills and exceptional talent! ‘Dark Matters – Part III’, the third chapter of their gloomy Dark Matters tetralogy, carries on to explore deep emotional landscapes and marks a fitting continuation to the series. The album was recorded, mixed and mastered in the band’s own ButcherHouse Studio in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Torture Squad, one of the great Brazilian metal bands, returns to Wacken Open Air, the largest heavy metal festival in the world – which takes place every summer in the surroundings of Schleswig-Holstein, Germany.
The band will perform on Wednesday, July 30th, making Torture Squad the only Brazilian band to play the festival four times. The band performed in 2007, as winners of the Metal Battle, with the ‘Chaos Corporation Tour’, in 2008 with the ‘Hellbound Tour’, in 2011 with the ‘Aequilibrium Tour’ and is now taking on the ‘Devilish Tour’.
This will be the first time with the new lineup, which features Rene Simionato on guitar and Mayara Puertas on vocals. “2025 will be a big year for us, we are completing 10 years with this lineup and there is nothing more special than celebrating by returning to the largest metal festival in the world!” Mayara comments, “Since I joined the band, it was my goal to get on stage at Wacken, because I know how much this festival contributed to Torture Squad’s career since they were champions of the battle of the bands in 2007. Almost 20 years later, we will return with more energy than ever, very proud to represent Brazilian metal!”
Drummer Amilcar Christófaro comments: “I’m happy that Torture Squad is performing for the fourth time at one of the biggest metal festivals in the world, WOA. I’m also happy for Mayara Puertas and Rene Simionato for having the opportunity to experience the unique atmosphere of this festival together on the tour of one of the most important albums in Torture Squad’s career. And to our fifth member Beto Bisca, who says the more we work, the more our dreams of conquering the world together grow. Wacken Open Air?? Just a warning… HELL IS COMING”
Wacken Open Air 2025 will take place between July 30th and August 2nd and will feature Guns N’Roses as headliner and bands from different styles and generations, such as Machine Head, Gojira, Within Temptation, Saxon and Grave Digger. Tickets are already sold out.
Torture Squad will soon announce more European tour dates, and will continue to promote their recent album ‘Devilish’, available on digital platforms and in CD & LP.
TORTURE SQUAD is seen by extreme music fans as one of the most visceral and powerful metal bands in action today.
With almost three decades of experience, with excellent live performances including at the most important metal festivals in the world, the Brazilian group gathered legions of fans playing throughout the country, Latin America and Europe.
In 2019, while preparing the new album, Torture Squad arrived at one of the biggest music festivals in the world, the Brazilian Rock in Rio, where they performed for an audience of 120,000 people. In a cast full of metal legends like Anthrax, Slayer, Sepultura, Scorpions and Iron Maiden, the show was epic alongside Chuck Billy (Testament) and the Brazilians of Claustrofobia on the Sunset stage, with the set covering songs from their entire career TS and Testament Classics.
After Rock in Rio, came the long-awaited tour of Central America, passing through Mexico, Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala. The highlight was the show at Mexico Metal Fest which Torture Squad was one of the headliners.
In 2020 they released a new single and video called “O Doutrinador”, inspired by a Brazilian comic book character that also became a movie and TV series. The English version of the single and video called “The Awakener” is also available.
In 2021 the band celebrated twenty years since the release of their third album “The Unholy Spell” (2001) playing the entire album in Lives and live shows.
In 2022, the band performed at “La Iglesia” in São Paulo, giving rise to the live album “Torture at La Iglesia En Vivo”, and also the single “The Fallen Ones” with exclusive debut in the American magazine Decibel Magazine. Ending the year doing a show alongside one of the thrash metal legends in the world “Exodus” at the Carioca Club, in São Paulo.
While well-versed in the lore of H.P. Lovecraft, after six long years, The Great Old Ones have returned with another otherworldly twist. On their new album, Kadath, the post-black metal scribes climb out of Cthulhu only to descend into the dark heart of Dream-lands.
“It’s almost impossible not to get swept up in the band’s mesmerizing sonic storytelling as they follow every twist and turn of Randolph Carter’s journey through the dream-lands” No Clean Singing sang in praise of the latest chapter in the band’s 16 year history.
Today, The Great Old Ones are putting their signature post-black metal twist on a new age tale. Their cover of fellow Frenchman Jean-Michel Jarre’s “Second Rendez-Vous” goes well beyond tribute, transforming the electronic classic into a space odyssey through blackened metal and ancient whispers.
The band’s cover of “Second Rendez-Vous” is available as a bonus track on the collector’s edition of Kadath. Order at https://orcd.co/tgookadath
Jean-Michel Jarre’s “Second Rendez-Vous” is marked by both historical tragedy and artistic triumph. Jarre intended for the song to pioneer music recorded in space. However, it became a solemn requiem for the Challenger astronauts. In their hands, The Great Old Ones confront listeners with the chthonic depths of their sound while lifting them towards otherworldly vistas.

A name is whispered which chills the spine and quickens the pulse – THE GREAT OLD ONES. Like phantoms emerging from the fog, they have haunted the world of Lovecraftian Black Metal with their sonorous, foreboding melodies and eldritch tales. Descending once more into the abyss of H.P. Lovecraft’s enigmatic universe, they have unearthed their latest opus, Kadath – an album that promises to be a journey of both magnificent dreams and unspeakable horrors.
THE GREAT OLD ONES emerged in 2009 from the old parts of the ancient Aquitanian harbour city of Bordeaux, France, a city famed for its secrets and deep red wine. After releasing their first album, Al Azif, the reactions of critics and fans were unanimously positive.
The band followed up with their second full-length, Tekeli-li, which garnered even higher praise. As a result, THE GREAT OLD ONES played a show at the acclaimed Roadburn festival, opened for BEHEMOTH in their homeland, played at Hellfest, and supported label mates SHINING and DER WEG EINER FREIHEIT.
The third full length, EOD – A Tale of Dark Legacy, (2017) marked another big step in the band’s fast rising career. The five-piece took the road with the legendary GAAHLS WYRD and embarked on a successful European co-headline tour with AUÐN from Iceland. THE GREAT OLD ONES also appeared on the billing of respected festivals, such as Brutal Assault and Eindhoven Metal Meeting, in front of a gigantic crowd of cultists.
THE GREAT OLD ONES have been crafting sonic landscapes that echo with the cries of ancient, cosmic deities and the whispers of forgotten realms. Their discography masterfully showcasing the sheer power of atmosphere and narrative, and has guided listeners through the darkest corners of Lovecraft’s mythos, earning them a devoted following among both metal aficionados and acolytes of the macabre. With their unique blend of harrowing intensity and sombre beauty, they have captured the essence of the otherworldly, marrying it with the raw, blackened heart of metal.
Kadath marks a bold departure from the oceanic depths of the Cthulhu mythos, venturing instead into the Dreamlands. It is here that we follow the protagonist, Randolph Carter, as he seeks the fabled city that haunts his visions. The album resonates with his longing and determination, embodying the treacherous path he treads amidst the capricious gods and monstrous entities that dwell within this twilight realm. Through seven tracks, THE GREAT OLD ONES tortuously narrate Carter’s odyssey, transcending the boundaries of music to evoke a world where fantasy intertwines with terror.
Recorded under the vigilant eye of Francis Caste at Studio Sainte-Marthe, Paris, Kadath‘s production is nothing short of sorcerous. Each note and whispers are imbued with the power to transport the listener, offering an escape into an epic, immersive universe. Benjamin Guerry’s haunting vocals and guitars, alongside the mesmerizing contributions of Aurélien Edouard and Alexandre Rouleau on guitars, the deep resonance of Gregory Vouillat’s bass, and the relentless assault of Julian Deana’s drums, forge an album of unmatched emotional depth and technical prowess.
Thus, behold the latest chapter in their eldritch saga, Kadath – their unyielding quest to explore the outer margins of reality and imagination. An invitation to journey beyond the familiar, into a world of cosmic dread and awe-inspiring beauty, where the ancient gods still roam and dreams bleed into reality.
