West Coast based glam, punk ‘n’ rollers PROPHETS OF ADDICTION have released the new music video for the track “Walk The World” from their new album “Face the Music” through BraveWords Records. The video was premiered by Metal Sludge, who describe the band as “a modern day Hanoi Rocks” and is now available worldwide.
Lead singer Lesli Sanders talked about the story behind the song, “The song, although portrayed in the video as if I am singing to the girl as that is a lot easier to portray is actually about learning to love oneself. It’s about believing in yourself having the courage to stand up for what you believe in and being yourself.”
Lesli goes on to talk about making this video, “Since all the players in Prophets Of Addiction live all over the country it takes a creative thought process to accomplish these videos. I had so many ideas and concepts, although the ideas were hard to accomplish. In the end, I hope you all enjoy this little story set to the song “Walk the World.””

One of the most electrifying guitarists of her generation, Samantha Fish, has consistently captivated audiences with her unparalleled energy, boldness, emotional depth and unique blend of rock and soul. Known for her expressive guitar playing and powerhouse performances, Fish’s career hit warp speed with the release of her last album, 2023’s Death Wish Blues, which hit #1 on the Billboard Blues Chart, and earned her a Grammy nomination, plus invitations to support The Rolling Stones, Jon Spencer, Slash and more.
This April, the Kansas City-bred, New Orleans-based musician will unveil her fiercest work to date with a new studio album Paper Doll (Rounder Records). Produced by Detroit garage-rock legend Bobby Harlow (The Go) – with assistance from fellow Detroit luminary Mick Collins (The Gories) on one track – each of the songs on Paper Doll are delivered with visceral force, soul-soothing empathy, and newfound clarity. “It’s taken me years to finally find my voice in a studio setting,” Fish admits. “But with this record, I took everything I had and slammed it right on the table.” The theme of unapologetic defiance runs throughout the album, as Fish explores new depths of vulnerability and self-expression and confronts love, loss, and personal growth.
Tracked in Austin at The Orb and Los Angeles at Savannah Studios, the 9-song collection was recorded during a gruelling touring schedule, ultimately capturing the untamed energy of her live performances. “I’d never made a record on the road like that,” Fish reveals. “Even though it was intense, it felt good to keep up the momentum from the live show. It helped us make an album that’s got a real living, breathing pulse to it.” The album features touring bandmates Ron Johnson (bass), Jamie Douglass (drums), and Mickey Finn (keys).
With the announcement, Fish has released the album’s lead single “Sweet Southern Sounds.” Co-written with fellow New Orleans-based singer-songwriter Anders Osborne, the track is a gripping meditation on the struggle to balance passion and personal connections, topped with smoldering riffs and lush organ melodies.
“It’s an anthem about being on the road and feeling guilty about not prioritizing the people in your life,” says Fish. “It’s hard to find that balance between taking care of your relationships and dedicating yourself to your music, and there’s definitely a tinge of heartache to that song.”
Fish will tour across the US and UK throughout 2025, including dates with Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, plus performances at JazzFest and more. For tickets and all upcoming tour dates please visit https://www.samanthafish.com/tour/.

DAWN OF OUROBOROS has today shared Slipping Burgundy, the second single to be taken from their forthcoming third album, Bioluminescence, which is set for release via Prosthetic Records on March 7. The Oakland, CA blackened progressive metal band has shared an accompanying music video for the track, taking primary influence from the recently departed legendary filmmaker David Lynch.
Speaking on the single, DAWN OF OUROBOROS‘s Tony Thomas (guitar) comments: “The surrealism and dark moodiness of David Lynch films has long been a influence on our music both sonically and visually. Slipping Burgundy was heavily inspired by the Black Lodge from Twin Peaks. Both in its mood and the look of the video we created.”
Speaking directly on what the song means to her, Chelsea Murphy (vocals) writes: “The rich, deep hue of burgundy envelops the senses, evoking a sense of warmth and intimacy that ignites passion. In its lush embrace, one can find a profound release, where desires intertwine and the boundaries of pleasure dissolve.
“In addition we would like to add that David Lynch developed chaotic, beautiful and endlessly creative realms that have served as a personal refuge to explore for decades. We are endlessly thankful to him and his contributions to the world and influence on our art. We proudly dedicate this single in his honor, the video serves as a visual representation of our appreciation of him.”
Creatively spearheaded by guitarist Tony Thomas (also of Botanist) and vocalist Chelsea Murphy, DAWN OF OUROBOROS conjures up an atmospheric blend of black and death metal. Whilst Chelsea’s distinctive vocals both scathe and soothe, there is a vicious underpinning of progressive and propulsive extremity that unites their sound into something cohesive and alluring. Outside the band, Tony works as a molecular biologist – his thorough and research driven approach to his job carries over to the way he creates within the band. In contrast, Chelsea frequently improvises her vocal parts in the studio, allowing pure emotion to guide the development of lyrical concepts and delivery.
Writing for Bioluminescence started before their sophomore album, Velvet Incandescence, had even hit the streets; never ones to rest on their laurels, DAWN OF OUROBOROS were already feeling out their next steps and embracing their most adventurous songwriting journey to date. The album is peppered with odd time signatures and built from unorthodox song structures that draw from jazz influences as much as they do from any extreme metal inspirations.
Lyrically inspired by nature and more specifically on Bioluminescence, inspired by the ocean, the flora, fauna and alchemical magic of the sea provides a rich seam of poetic beauty for the band to explore. “Much like emotion, bioluminescence is a vibrant reaction to things in its environment,” Chelsea comments. The contrast of harsh black metal shrieks and smooth, jazzesque moments mirrors the untamable nature of the ocean.
An abyssal, claustrophobic thread runs through to the sound of the album itself – expanding and contracting as the songs undulate and pulsate. Bioluminescence was primarily self recorded before the mixing was handled by Lewis Johns at The Ranch in Southampton, UK, and mastering by Grant Berry at Fader Mastering in Manchester, UK. Additional engineering was then completed by Nick Loiacono at Fang Studios in San Mateo, before the ethereal artwork was crafted by Alex Eckman Lawn.
DAWN OF OUROBOROS are illuminating the path forward as they approach the release of Bioluminescence. Once again they find themselves with much to celebrate as an even brighter future beckons.

“Assembling Deformities” is the brooding new single from Norwegian cosmic brutal tech-death metal juggernaut CELESTIAL SCOURGE. The song is the latest single preceding the band’s debut LP “Observers of The Inevitable”, due out February 28th 2025 via Time To Kill Records!
“‘Assembling Deformities’ is the longest voyage on the album and its filled to the brim with technical chaos and maybe one of our most cruel breakdowns to date. We wanted to showcase some of our favorite elements in the tech/brutal death metal world with these riffs. Lyrical wise it’s about our physical imperfections and how we look at purity and prosperity in our daily lives. And that we are all hideous in our own ways no matter how hard you try to change yourself and that we can’t accept that the world is far from perfect”.
Following their explosive 2023 debut EP, “Dimensions Unfurled”, the band is ready to take their sound to the next level. Brace yourselves for a sonic journey that will push the boundaries of technical death metal into the uncharted realms of the cosmos.

DAWN OF SOLACE, the Finnish masters of melancholic metal, have unleashed their latest creation, “Affliction Vortex”. Released through Noble Demon, the album promises to solidify the band’s place at the forefront of the genre.
Formed in 2005 as Tuomas Saukkonen‘s (WOLFHEART, BEFORE THE DAWN) creative outlet, DAWN OF SOLACE quickly established itself with their debut album, “The Darkness” (2006). Despite a hiatus due to legal complications, the band’s loyal fanbase remained unwavering, keeping the flame alive. A triumphant return came in 2019 with the signing to Noble Demon. This partnership revitalized DAWN OF SOLACE, leading to two successful full-length albums – “Waves” (2020) and “Flames of Perdition” (2022) – alongside an unplugged EP. In early 2024, the band entered the studio, determined to craft their most versatile album yet.
“Affliction Vortex” represents the culmination of this artistic evolution. The album promises a dark and immersive experience, delving deep into the heart of Finnish melancholy. It’s a sonic journey that will resonate with fans of atmospheric and emotionally charged metal.
To celebrate the album’s release, DAWN OF SOLACE have unveiled a lyric video for the track “Dream”. Regarding the choice of “Dream” as a single, mastermind Tuomas Saukkonen comments: “Dream might not be the most typical DoS single song but the forward pushing pulse and the steady groove of the song made it impossible to ignore it as one of the obvious single choices. Like a train rushing through the night and full moon illuminating the view.“
“Affliction Vortex” is out now out via Noble Demon in CD, vinyl LP, and digital formats, and is available for purchase at THIS LOCATION
