HERTA is a progressive groove metal band, formed in 2022, located in Athens, Greece. Heavily inspired by the great bands of the genre and influenced by the atmosphere of fantasy novels, they departed on a journey to articulate their ideas in the best possible way and explore new sounds and riffs. “Crossing the Illusion” is their first album and Lifeforce Records debut, created after three years of hard work, dedication and sacrifices. The main theme is an esoteric and agnostic voyage with the purpose of exploring ones’ self. Heavy riffs, epic choruses, sick grooves, mind-bending poly-rhythms and bottomless atmospheres, in combination with dark poetic lyrics and aggressive vocals, define the album’s identity.
The singer-guitarist Valtteri Saharinen tells about the track:
“MY TRUE NEMESIS is a song about battling your own inner enemy. The narrator’s opponent isn’t some external force, but rather this internal power that takes control of their mind and life. Feelings of anger, resentment, shame, and despair are constantly churning inside throughout life, and you’re forced to deal with them if you want to move forward. The chorus, “true nemesis,” is a metaphor for this internal force, an enemy you have to face over and over again, one you can never escape.
The song has this heavy, fatalistic vibe, where the enemy is seen as inevitable, just a natural part of life. The narrator’s lyrics dig deep into the conflict between self-hatred and the struggle to accept oneself. In the final chorus, the voices in their head scream, “No way out!” – summing up the feeling that this inner enemy is tied to their fate. It’s something they can’t outrun, only learn to live with.
Musically, the track is raw and intense, perfectly mirroring the darkness in the lyrics. It drags the listener deep into the pain of the mind but also opens a door to self-reflection and acceptance. My True Nemesis is a powerful take on the inner battle and how it’s an inseparable part of being human.“
Justice Theory started as a thrash metal band in 2012. After that they have moved towards more melodic approach without forgetting their thrash metal past. Justice Theory has released around dozen singles and EPs.

About W.A.S.P.
Few Bands in the history of Rock N’ Roll have ever incited the love, the hate, the raw emotional effect this Band has had on the world. From the very beginning, in the small venues of Los Angeles California, and later to the numerous countries worldwide that banned these Winged Assassins from performing live, the Band’s unique style of Shock and Rock caused Religious organizations, Local City Councils, Parliaments, and the Washington D.C. Senate to hold hearings in an effort to bar this group from selling records and trashing stages everywhere they played.
The band’s founding member, frontman Blackie Lawless, has led the group as its lead vocalist and primary songwriter since its beginning. His unique brand of visual, social and political comment took the group to worldwide heights and sold millions of records alongside a legacy of sold out shows across the globe for 4 decades.
Extreme metal giants BEHEMOTH have revealed the title, cover art and release date of their upcoming new opus, The Shit Ov God, which is due to be released on May 9th via Nuclear Blast Records. Alongside the title track, which is streaming now, an opulent music video will premiere at 4 PM CET today. Scroll down for the link.
BEHEMOTH have always been known for not shying away from controversy, and they most certainly remain true to this approach with their 13th full-length. Here’s a band that, 34 years in, is releasing its most inflammatory and extreme record to date. Eight songs that go into the fathoms of humanity, divinity and what defiance means in an age where individuality is prized but everyone is clinging to their saviors. Musically, politically, or otherwise. The title of the album is in line with those sensibilities. Intentionally polarizing, founder and frontman Nergal, says of the title “We chose this provocative title deliberately, rejecting subtlety in favor of a direct and polarizing statement. It’s a defiant plunge into the depths, daring to seek the absolute even in the gutter.”
But make no mistake, despite its apparent insubtlety, the album title gets a touch of genius when seen in combination with the strikingly clever artwork, which depicts an upside-down version of the most common Christogram, “IHS”.
NERGAL commented: “I’ve reached a point in Behemoth’s journey and my own creativity where words and statements mean less and less. The true essence of who we are and what we stand for lies in our music, our art, our visuals, our sounds, our performances, and the ways we connect with you. I deeply believe Behemoth represents transcendent, timeless art. The number thirteen—so magical and significant. If this were to be our final album, I could say I die a proud man. Without a shadow of a doubt, this is the most refined, purest representation of Behemoth. No filler, no excess—just the very best we have to offer, handed to you. Hail Satan“
BEHEMOTH meticulously chose the audiovisual artists involved on the album. Production on the album was helmed by the inimitable Jens Bogren of Fascination Street Studios (Emperor, Enslaved, Kreator, Rotting Christ et al.). Working closely with the band, Bogren’s deft hand underscored the band’s natural sound while sacrificing none of the mayhem and ferocity which permeates the band’s essence. As is always the case with Behemoth, the visuals were as carefully constructed as the sound. The band tapped long-time collaborator and partner in crime Bartek Rogalewicz (BLACK.LODGE.IS.NOW) as well as Dark Sigil Workshop to make the beautifully ominous and unique cover-art.
Don’t forget to catch BEHEMOTH live on their Unholy Trinity headline tour with Satyricon and Rotting Christ. All dates and ticket info at the bottom.

Today, extreme metal trailblazers and passionate horror aficionados ABORTED have unleashed a new stand-alone single called ‘The Pain, Will Be Exquisite‘ upon the world. The song is an unreleased bonus track from the recording sessions of ABORTED‘s acclaimed most recent album, Vault Of Horrors (2024), and it’s easily on par with its evil siblings that made the cut and ended up on the full-length. Fusing a variety of extreme metal subgenres, ‘The Pain, Will Be Exquisite‘ is a unrelenting attack on the senses and will beat you into submission in typical ABORTED fashion with its ferocious groove and unexpected tempo changes.
Alongside the single, an eerie visualizer has been released, which you can watch here:
