Rockshots Records is proud to release Victoria K‘s reworked debut single “LACUNA” to present to fans “LACUNA XXIV”.
“To everyone who has been with us from the beginning, LACUNA was such an important song in our journey and the beginning of Victoria K!! Thank you to everyone who has loved the original LACUNA so far… get excited for the polished version. I’m happy to share it with you all in a new light. It is truly a blessing!” adds Victoria K.
This re-recorded track is from Victoria K‘s debut album “Essentia” and is part ofthe journey of reflection and evolution, looking forward to a third album in 2025. Known for pushing the boundaries of their sound, Victoria K’s last album, “Kore”, embraced a conceptual approach inspired by Greek mythology. But with the re-releases of “Humanity XXIV” and “Lacuna XXIV”, Victoria K pays tribute to their origins, infusing these tracks with matured skill and spirit. These tracks are only the beginning, marking a new era in Victoria K’s Gothic Metal legacy, following the band’s recent chart-topping success with their “Frozen” cover that reached the top 10 on Metal Contraband charts. As the anticipation builds for the 2025 album, “Lacuna XXIV” is a powerful reminder of their journey from a rising name in the Melbourne metal scene to a band opening for legends like Eluveitie, Blind Guardian, and Katatonia.
The rock ‘n’ soul trio DeWolff have revealed the video for their most personal song to-date in “Let’s Stay Together,” on the day that they release their brand-new studio album ‘Muscle Shoals’ – recorded at the legendary FAME Studios and Muscle Shoals Sound Studios, Alabama. The album is released on Mascot Records. You can watch the video for ‘Let’s Stay Together,”HERE.
The gentle and soulful “Let’s Stay Together” is one of the most personal songs Pablo van de Poel has ever written. Talking about it, he says. “It’s the breakup song on the record. That, fortunately, didn’t lead to a breakup. It’s one of the most direct emotional love songs I’ve ever written. In a long relationship you go through rough patches sometimes. I was going through one right around the time we were writing the album, so this one really is very autobiographical.”
They recently revealed the video for single Natural Woman. Set to the backdrop of a vintage animation video, the band talk through the swirling soulful new song, saying, “Natural Woman is another one of these songs that basically wrote itself: the big guitar riff, the verse and the chorus melodies came to us all at once, as if tapped from some kind of ancient rock ‘n roll well. The lyrics are about natural beauty, not having to hide or change to be accepted. There’s satisfaction in imperfection; the plastic dream was a lie.”
Recorded at the world famous FAME and the Muscle Shoals Sound Studios it saw the band embed themselves in the home of Soul. The studios have seen the legendary likes of Aretha Franklin, Wilson Pickett, Etta James, Cher, The Rolling Stones, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Bob Dylan record between the two.
They have already released the album’s opening track “In Love,” which was filmed at FAME. “It’s about if you’re with someone for a long time and you meet someone else, and they really turn your world upside down by challenging the promises you make to your partner when you have a long term relationship. They’re all these things that you want to do. There’s a line that goes ‘tell me babe why can’t we meet, at the dark end of the street,’ which is a reference to Dark End of the Street, written by Muscle Shoals songwriter Dan Penn.”
In May 2024, they travelled to Muscle Shoals to record their 10th studio album between the two studios with Grammy Award-winning producer Ben Tanner (Alabama Shakes). “You can really feel some kind of rock ‘n roll magic in the air there,” Pablo adds. “Right when we played our first notes there, I got goosebumps. This definitely was one of the best recording experiences we’ve ever had. Even the grand piano Leon Russell used was still there, just like the electric Wurlitzer piano that was used on “I Never Loved A Man” by Aretha Franklin!”
Over the past 18 months, the enchanting psychedelic soul ‘n’ rollers have preached their Electric Gospel on a cruise, in a castle, sold out countless headline tours across Europe and transformed festival crowds into their own disciples. They’ve toured with The Black Crowes and have previously played shows with Blues Pills, Deep Purple, TOTO, and count Seasick Steve as a fan.
Muscle Shoals, follows their previous #1 studio album Love Death & In Between (2023) and since then they have celebrated a Edison Award nomination (The Dutch Grammy’s), released Live & Outta Sight III, and also received the live music award, the ‘Gouden Notekraker.’ In June 2023, they produced the world’s fastest Studio-to-store record – 2 hours, 59 minutes, and 38 seconds for “Rosita Rápida”, beating the record previously held by Jack White.
Formed in the Netherlands’ Deep South of Geleen as teenagers, Pablo van de Poel (guitar/vocals) and Luka van de Poel (drums/vocals), alongside Robin Piso (Hammond/Wurlitzer), have carved out a place for themselves as carefree adventurers; prolific in the studio and well-worn road-rovers.

With the release of Numbers, his latest collection of originals, Mahoney’s style and passion for composing and performing stand taller than ever. As he states, “With my Numbers record, I approached things very differently from my previous albums…. I really wanted to capture the energy of a live band… to bring the LIVE energy to each composition… to intentionally and purposefully make a ROCK record… to have each track begin and end with the guitar, my constant songwriting partner. To capture what happens when my guitar and I put our heads and hearts together… and bring it ALL out…. and what better way to bring ALL this to life, then to inject into the very grooves of vinyl! A first for me, but it certainly will not be the last….”

Pete Lehtinen (born in 1975, lives in Lahti) is a Finnish composer and lyricist. He is known as a frontman of the Finnish dark metal group Mustan Kuun Lapset. Besides to writing most of the material, Lehtinen was a lead singer, rhythm guitarist and studio session keyboardist throughout the band’s 30-year existence.
As Mustan Kuun Lapset defunct in 2023, Lehtinen “retired” from his active music career which started in early ´90s. In the spring of 2024, however, he released new music as a solo artist. Digital single Snowflower was based on the tunes of Lumikukka (from Mustan Kuun Lapset´s fourth album Viimeinen laulu kuolemasta, Stay Heavy Records, 2007), which is one of the most popular songs Pete has written. And like Snowflower, Procession is based on an old Mustan Kuun Lapset song too. Original Saatto (Engl. Procession) from the album of the same name was released in 2017 (Inverse Records).
This time, the single also features a guest vocalist. Micko Hell is a singer who was born in 1978, lives in Kerava, and has influenced many Finnish metal bands. Pete and Micko met when they did their civil service in Vaasa 1997. Five years later, in 2002 when Mustan Kuun Lapset released their debut album Suruntuoja (Northern Sound Records), Micko became known to the general public as the vocalist of Denigrate. They released the Taiska cover song Mombasa, which was the theme song for the movie “Menolippu Mombasaan” (Cinemaker Oy). The song like the movie became a big hit. In addition to this, this angelic-voiced man is known for Micko Hell & the Motherfuckers, Million Dollar Beggars, Gloomy Grim (guitars) and many, many more. He has also guested on the records of several bands such as Wintersun and Re-Armed to name a few.
Procession is the first song representing -maybe you could say- dark electronic dance music for Lehtinen & Hell. In fact, all those involved in the production process are experienced mainly in metal music, so this was a big leap into the unknown for everyone.
Procession was recorded by Sami Heinonen (Inferia, Necropsy & Sacrilegious Impalement), and mixed and mastered by studio engineer Pasi Löfgren (Where’s My Bible, Mustan Kuun Lapset). Löfgren also co-produced the single together with Lehtinen. Let’s also mention the nearly ten-year collaboration with Jaakko Tarvainen and Inverse Records. Inverse released all Mustan Kuun Lapset albums and EPs from 2016 to 2023 as well as Pete´s Snowflower single, and now the collaboration continues.
The digital single also includes a short version of the song called Procession (Radio Edit).

UK avantgarde metal pioneers VOID have revealed the official video from their single “Fables From a Post-Truth Era“. The song is taken from the band’s latest album, “Jadjow“, released by Brucia Records in December 2023.
The concept for the video, entirely created by Matt Jarman, stemmed from a dream, a photo of an actual derelict playground in Bulgaria and the painting time-lapses in the film “Prophecy” about the painting by Peter Howson.
“In an attempt to access greater freedom we can wall ourselves in. Through paranoia and misinformation, the beliefs that seek to empower us can actually tear us apart”.
“Jadjow” was born out of the DHG Void Dancers tour in 2019, when VOID founding member and guitarist Matt Jarman and Camille Giraudeau (Dreams of the Drowned, Doedsmaghird) both played live guitar for Dødheimsgard.
Also present were DHG’s bass player Lars Emil Måløy (If Nothing Is) and their live sound engineer George Geegor Anagnostopoulos. These four musicians decided to collaborate on a project, co-writing what became the fourth VOID album. The drums on the album were eventually performed by Tariq Zulficar (Atramentum), a long time collaborator of Camille‘s, based on Geegor‘s original arrangements.
In typical VOID fashion, the music on “Jadjow” demonstrates a distinct departure from the previous releases, whilst paradoxically remaining quintessentially VOID. Skillfully mixing the aggressiveness of black metal with progressive music, a post-metal sensibility, noise-like leads and syncopated, hyper-technical drumming, VOID managed to create something entirely unique and atypical, showcasing a voracious appetite for creating rich and complex soundscapes with incredible sense of purpose and direction. The vocals here are also extremely varied, melodic, at times choir-like, and play a massive role in redefining VOID‘s eccentricity, creating a multi-layered masterpiece of experimental music that manages to push the boundaries of both aggression and sophistication at the same time.
The dream-like artwork was exclusively created by previous VOID vocalist Laura Katrin Weston.
