US hard rock guitarist, singer, & songwriter ANDY HENSON has just release his new single and music video for ‘Villain‘. ANDY HENSON is a driving force in the Central Virginia rock/metal scene.
Influenced by KISS, Prince, Rick Springfield, and Van Halen as a kid. Andy got serious with the guitar at age 15 after seeing George Lynch playing the solo to “In My Dreams” by Dokken and was playing out professionally at age 17.
Andy says…”I’ve had the honor and privilege of working with so many excellent musicians. My solo releases and concerts will continue this tradition of recording and performing with top notch artists.”

Celebrating ten years of career, HANGARVAIN, one of the most acclaimed rock bands in Italy, have just released their brand-new album “Dèka”, available today, December 6th, 2024, on all digital platforms and in vinyl format via Volcano Records. The album, titled “Dèka”, meaning “ten” in Greek, symbolizes a retrospective celebration of their journey and a leap forward for the band. Led by vocalist Sergio Toledo Mosca and guitarist/producer Alessandro Liccardo, alongside Antonio Castaldo on bass and Walter Marzocchella on drums, the record features six brand-new tracks and four reimagined classics, including fan favorites Keep Falling and Get On. Blending influences from rock to soul, southern rock to funk, the album takes listeners on a journey filled with energy and introspection, marking a meaningful milestone in the band’s career.

Due to changes at the label and ongoing production delays, the release of the new album by SCHÄDLICH & SÖHNE – feat. Guido Meyer de Voltaire (Aardvarks, Misticia, ex-Bethlehem) and Yantit (Eisregen, Ewigheim, Goatfuneral) – has to be postponed to March 21, 2025. Pre-orders already made remain valid!

“Due to changes at the label and ongoing problems with the production of the recordings (the 2 CD media book is still not ready/hasn’t arrived) we/Massacre Records are forced to postpone the release of “ZECKPESSIMISMUS” to March 2025!
As of today, it would not have been possible to prepare and ship everything so that you would have your hands on the album in time on December 6th, 2024! It’s bitter but this decision was unavoidable because a proper release also requires a certain amount of lead time.

SCHÄDLICH & SÖHNE‘s music is not made for everyone, and certainly no light entertainment. This is for listeners who have a healthy sense of dark humor and find pleasure in tragedy.
It is an art to aptly describe one’s own lyrical outpourings without quickly sounding pathetic or even
ridiculous. There is certainly a similarity to Ewigheim here, but SCHÄDLICH & SÖHNE are much more direct and at the same time much more abstract. Or to put it a little more vaguely: total cynical negativity + the whole bitter truth = ZWECKPESSIMISMUS [Eng.: calculated pessimism (for people who can endure it)].
For the musical realization of their new album “Zweckpessimismus”, Yantit and Guido were joined by Markus Stock both on bass and as a producer. He was also responsible for the album mix and master. Kevin Olasz contributed some additional lead and solo guitars to selected songs on the album.

Finnish melodic death metal band Dimman is set to release their second studio album ‘Consciousness’ on February 28th 2025 via Inverse Records. The third single ‘The Acrimony’ is released today and the music video is available below.
“The Acrimony contains something new and something old, I would say the track even plays with darkness. Although it’s full throttle almost all the time, the driver still has a light grin on their face. The song is packed with musical tricks, and special mention must go to our drummer Arto, who sometimes seems to have the tentacles of an octopus. The breathless tempo of the song also allowed for a hefty dose of lyrics, which our vocalist spits out at times like a true rapper.” says, Jaakko Yli-Sorvari, guitars
The new single by Sardinian musician FRANCESCO MARRAS (founder of Screaming Shadows and member of the English band Tygers of pan tang since 2020), is released today, Friday 6th December 2024, by the independent label Hell Tour Productions. The single is titled “Cyber Lust” and is available on all digital streaming/download platforms.
The song, inspired by great Hard Rock albums such as Led Zeppelin’s “Physical Graffiti” and Whitesnake’s “Slip of the tongue”, talks about a very current topic, that of pornography addiction.
This time the Sardinian guitarist wanted to involve, as a guest on vocals, his bandmate Iacopo Meille, frontman of Tygers of pan Tang, while the hammond parts were recorded by keyboardist Marco Cossu.
The Tuscan singer said : “Recording the vocals for “Cyber Lust” was such an experience. It’s not always easy to feel comfortable singing a song written by somebody else, but this time I felt like Francesco has written it having me in mind”.
The single, which boasts a modern sound (curated by Marras himself at his recording studio) and which at the same time winks at classic Hard Rock productions, we are sure will not disappoint all lovers of the genre.
