GOTTHARD Unveil New Song ‘Boom Boom’, Announce New Album “Stereo Crush” + Additional Tour Dates

Nearly five years after the release of “#13,” Swiss rockers GOTTHARD are making a powerful comeback with their highly anticipated new album, “Stereo Crush,” set to release on March 21, 2025 via Reigning Phoenix Music (RPM).

To mark the announcement, the band have unveiled their latest single, ‘Boom Boom.’ This high-energy anthem not only celebrates the album announcement but also offers a dynamic preview of the signature sound fans can expect from “Stereo Crush.”

Guitar duo Leo Leoni and Freddy Scherer ignite the track with heavy riffs that haven’t been heard in the GOTTHARD realm for quite some time. The remarkable rhythm section, powered by bassist Marc Lynn and drummer Flavio Mezzodi, propels the Swiss express forward with relentless energy, while frontman Nic Maeder masterfully commands the journey through hard rock territory with his powerful and charismatic vocals. Building up to an irresistibly catchy chorus, it’s clear to all that this is a new GOTTHARD classic in the making.

Leo Leoni explains the personal meaning of the song: “I wrote it when I found out that we were expecting a child. The birth of my son Gabriel was a moment that completely changed my life. When I hold him in my arms, look into his eyes or see his smile, I feel an indescribable love and deep gratitude. This song is my way of expressing all these feelings for him.”

Produced and mixed by long-time partner Charlie Bauerfeind, who’s known for his work with the likes of HELLOWEEN and BLIND GUARDIAN, alongside founding member Leo Leoni at Yellowhouse Studio, and mastered by Sascha “Busy” Bühren (TrueBusyness), “Stereo Crush” promises to set new standards which will additionally come to shine on the band’s forthcoming touring cycle: GOTTHARD will open it with a tour in May, accompanied by special guests Y&T, before the quintet head to select festivals as well as the stages of their home country at the end of 2025. Finnish Folk / Black Metal band Metsän alttari released their self-titled debut album on November 28th 2024 via Inverse Records.

The man behind Metsän alttari, Janeski, comments:
“The debut album consists of seven songs with themes ranging from heroic to gloomy and blissful. Most of the songs are made between 2023-2024 but some of the material is much older and has been refined afterwards.

The songs have nuances of folk music spiced with the darkness of black metal and the grandeur of power metal. They also contain beautiful melodies, evil riffs, growls, epic choruses and poetic Finnish lyrics.”

“When I listened to the album for the first time, I was very impressed by the atmosphere and it was great to see that there are still new bands coming out that are honourably following in the footsteps of Finnish folk metal legends like Moonsorrow, Ensiferum and Finntroll. Highly recommended!”

Ground-Shattering Grooves And Slicker Than a Wiseguy’s Wedding – Introducing DELLA NOVA:

A three-piece rock outfit from the UK’s capital, DELLA NOVA captures the essence of modern rock with their self-titled debut album, ‘Della Nova.’ Melodic, hard-hitting, and experimental, the band blends high-energy guitar rock with soundscapes that soar. For a debut album, it’s a relentless rock ‘n’ roll juggernaut; this will be a haven for rock aficionados seeking their favourite new band.

The genesis of singer, guitarist, and songwriter Alex Bowmer, whose vision of classic rock, stoner, and alternative rock influences has resulted in DELLA NOVA delivering a collection of impressive songs. The name DELLA NOVA emerged when Alex was working for a witch in 2019, in reference to the secret magical order ‘The Ordine Della Nova’, which operated in the 1980s. Featuring long-time collaborator Joe Chauncy on bass, and newest member Adam Szabo laying down the drums, DELLA NOVA has distilled the essence of rock ‘n’ roll while rolling the dice.

DELLA NOVA’s debut album journey effortlessly weaves together huge 8-string guitar-driven riffs with the more delicate & dreamy chord passages, with a couple of thunderous guitar solos scattered to kick things up a gear. Drums that would knock Phil Collins off his rocking chair and razor-sharp, driving bass make up the rhythm section for Alex to lay down his proverbial vengeance upon. In combination with atmospheric interludes, this album debut takes the listener on a journey that dips their toes in nostalgia but with a raw, fresh energy of modern progressive.

Lyrically, the songs on ‘Della Nova’ are an amalgamation of Alex’s life experiences and perspectives—from breakups to new love, political frustration & disdain for the government to bad acid trips. It was recorded in a converted church-warehouse-party mansion where Alex lives; it’s a glimpse into the mind of a real London warehouse rocker.

The new album has been four years in the making, having gone through various changes to its mixes and masters. The album eventually ended up in the hands of Ben Jeffes, a widely acclaimed sound professional in the film industry, and long-term friend of Alex. Working together, the pair have crafted an album that is deeply rich in its production.

Ex-drummer and cousin to Alex, Karl Hall, features on the album’s recordings. The decision for Karl to part with the band was unanimous and amicable, so to have his cousin forever be part of the DELLA NOVA album is something Alex cherishes.

A live London show will accompany the album’s release date, where DELLA NOVA will perform in the heart of North London’s Warehouse district at New River Studios, with local bands supporting.

With its approach to blending nostalgic rock elements with colossal, fresh, aggressive, and experimental styles, DELLA NOVA is poised to make a significant impact on the rock music scene, appealing to fans of gritty, powerful melodic hooks stacked with high voltage.

‘Della Nova’ is released 13th December 2024.

He told The Metal Voice, “I got in a lot of trouble (over Sanctuary single Album cover)  Margaret Thatcher took offense to this picture and she tried to have me executed. She had someone introduce a nerve agent into my environment into my apartment bloody stuff killed my cat um nearly killed me I was very ill.
