Irish alternative rock band Muddshovel have released the official music video for “Over the Line,” taken from their album Little White Hair, out now via Epictronic.
Shot on location across Co. Cavan and Co. Donegal, the video accompanies one of the album’s most direct and driven tracks. While the spark for “Over the Line” came from songwriter Shawn Hicks completing a decade-long house restoration, the song quickly grew into something broader—an anthem for anyone who has dedicated themselves to a long, demanding journey. It captures the sense of relief, pride, and accomplishment that comes with finally reaching the finish line. Born from a jam session, the song’s opening riff immediately set the direction, and from that moment, the band knew it had to be played loud.
Muddshovel are a three-piece alternative rock band hailing from the heart of Cavan, Ireland. Blending raw guitar-driven energy with haunting melodies and intense lyricism, they craft a sound that feels both deeply familiar and completely their own. With influences ranging from grunge and post-punk to modern alt-rock, mudd·shovel deliver songs that hit hard and stay with you.
Formed out of a shared obsession with the dirtier side of rock and an instinct for storytelling, mudd·shovel isn’t just a name-it’s a reflection of their sound: heavy, honest, and unapologetically grounded. Whether on stage or in the studio, the trio brings an intensity that punches above their weight. With their debut album “Little White Hair”, mudd·shovel are carving out their space in Ireland’s underground rock scene, one riff at a time.
Muddshovel’s unique “alchemy” is driven by the tight-knit synergy of Shawn Hicks (Guitar/Vocals), Garreth Tackney (Bass/Production), and David Mulligan (Drums). Together, they have crafted a sound that feels both nostalgic for the golden era of alt-rock and fiercely contemporary.

Legendary English rock supergroup Asia are pleased to announce that their new studio album, “Indigo”, will be released on November 6, 2026, via Frontiers Music Srl.
To mark the occasion, the band share the new single and official video, “The Traveller (Into The Light)”, available below.
Geoff Downes commented: “The first track off the album is a high power energy piece, with a few elements of prog trickery but retaining the accessible chorus block, which was always a signature of Asia’s music from the very beginning. Harry and I started working on this as one of the early ideas that seemed to come together very organically. Virgil’s dynamic and innovative drums parts drive the piece along, while John’s soaring guitars keep the momentum. Harry’s vocals are commanding and my keyboard parts hold the wall of sound together. It’s a song of great optimism, mainly about looking forward to the future and travelling ‘into the light’. Play it loud!”
More than four decades after redefining the sound of melodic progressive rock, Asia return in 2026 with “Indigo” – a studio album that bridges past, present, and future with remarkable grace and authenticity.
Now featuring Geoffrey Downes alongside an inspired new lineup – Virgil Donati, John Mitchell, and Harry Whitley – Asia step confidently into a new era while honoring the legacy that made them one of the most iconic supergroups of all time.
Geoff Downes described the genesis of the album: “The initial writing period began in 2015, following the release of our previous album “Gravitas” in 2014. John Wetton and I started putting our ideas together, aiming to get into the studio once more. It was with great sadness that John became seriously ill, during this time, and we had put on hold our plans, and sadly John passed away before we could continue and complete it. So, it was always in my mind that at some point it would be a shame not to finish off some of these songs and finally release them as part of an Asia album.”
“In 2023, when the tribute concert for John took place, I was so encouraged by the response to Asia’s music that I viewed this as the perfect opportunity to re-establish not only the band, but also to reunite with our long-time supportive label, Frontiers, paving the way for us to get back in the studio”, he continued.
Downes also added: “So, Asia was back in the room, so to speak, and we were very fortunate to have recruited Virgil Donati and John Mitchell, both of whom had worked extensively with John before, as well as our new vocalist and bassist, Harry Whitley. The tours followed to great success throughout 2024 and 2025, and finally we sat down towards the end of last year to record the album. Working with these fine musicians was a great privilege and the music just seemed to flow”.
“The album was really a joy to make. I forged a close writing relationship with Harry, and I felt how great was to be working with someone who had very similar musical influences and taste once again, just as I did with John. I feel that this is one of our best albums to date. The songs are deep in musicality, with a powerful and original performance, dynamics and strong lyrical undertones – it’s an album that hopefully our fans will widely appreciate, and support our cause to put Asia back on the map. Enjoy the ride!”, he concluded.
Recorded throughout 2025 and produced by Downes and the band, with mixing and mastering handled by John Mitchell, “Indigo” captures the unmistakable spirit of Asia while injecting it with renewed vitality and purpose.
At the heart of the album lies an emotional connection to the band’s history. “Indigo” includes some of the final compositions written by the late John Wetton -“Tattoo Indigo (Parts 2 & 3)” and “Chesapeake Bay”- imbuing the record with a profound sense of continuity and tribute. The presence of Wetton is further felt through the extraordinary vocal performance of Harry Whitley, whose tone and phrasing evoke a striking and deeply moving resemblance to the band’s original voice.
Musically, “Indigo” stands as a natural continuation of Asia’s acclaimed 21st-century output, while subtly weaving in the sonic DNA of the band’s classic early albums. From soaring melodies to richly layered arrangements, the album delivers the signature blend of accessibility and musicianship that defined hits like “Heat Of The Moment” and “Only Time Will Tell”.
The album also features special guest appearances that elevate its scope: Steve Howe contributes acoustic guitar to the evocative “Chesapeake Bay”, while Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater) delivers a powerful performance on the bonus track “Tattoo Indigo (Part 3)”.
Following a resurgence of live activity across the US, Japan, and Europe, Asia are looking forward to taking to the road again.
With “Indigo”, Asia don’t just revisit their legacy – they expand it, proving once again that their music remains as vital, resonant, and timeless as ever.

TRENCHWAR will release their debut album “Overlords of Cold” on September 18th, 2026 via Time To Kill Records.
Emerging as a unholy convergence of seasoned figures from the Dutch metal and hardcore underground, the band distills decades of experience into a sound that is both ferocious and deeply atmospheric. Their music merges crushing, slow-burning heaviness with raw hardcore urgency, shaped by a collective vision that pushes beyond individual backgrounds into something colder, darker, and more unified.
The album captures this evolution in full force, delivering a punishing listening experience where brutality and bleak introspection collide without compromise or restraint.
Blending the ferocious urgency of Nails and Integrity with the oppressive weight of Crowbar and Eyehategod, the song shifts between explosive aggression, groove-laden riffs and suffocating heaviness. Built around themes of inner darkness, destruction and devotion to death, “Black Heart” channels raw hostility through downtuned guitars, relentless rhythms and a bleak atmosphere that lingers long after the final note.
Tracklist:
1. Somp Stomp 2. Black Heart 3. Overlords of Cold 4. Dust is Dust Again 5. Solace in Sulfur 6. Dread of Death 7. Funeral Hymn 8. Het Stof Daalt 9. The Center of Infinity 10. Martelaar
Formed as an unholy alliance of seasoned veterans from the hardcore and metal underground, TRENCHWAR bring together current and former members of influential acts such as Backfire, Born From Pain, Cliteater, Herder, No Turning Back, Reaching Forward and Modern Life Is War. Built on this deep-rooted experience, the band delivers a harsh and uncompromising form of metal-influenced heavy hardcore, shaped by a darker and more introspective edge. Their sound combines raw, physical aggression with dense, ominous riffing, resulting in a style that both acknowledges its origins and pushes into more suffocating territory.
The project initially took shape with the recording of “Seismic Upheaval”, a six-track statement that established the foundation of the band’s identity. That groundwork has now evolved into “Overlords of Cold”, the first full-length written collectively by the complete lineup. The album expands and sharpens the band’s vision, fusing the crushing weight of the NOLA tradition with the unrelenting force of 1990s hardcore, evoking the spirit of bands such as Integrity, Cold as Life and Merauder.
With this signing, TRENCHWAR join the roster of Time To Kill Records, further cementing their position within the international heavy hardcore and extreme music underground.
Line-up:

Progressive metal standouts STELLAR CIRCUITS have returned with their powerful new single, ‘Stargazer,’ marking the band’s third new release in as many months and continuing an impressive creative streak that has showcased the group’s evolving sound.
Following the releases of ‘Spotlight’ and ‘Wounded Healer,’ ‘Stargazer’ finds STELLAR CIRCUITS once again balancing crushing heaviness with soaring melody, cinematic atmosphere, and deeply introspective songwriting. The result is one of the band’s most dynamic and emotionally resonant tracks to date.
A brooding exploration of obsession, self-reckoning, and the pursuit of truth, ‘Stargazer’ captures the tension between illusion and reality. Anchored by massive riffs and an expansive progressive chorus, the song navigates the feeling of constantly being too late or too soon, ultimately arriving at a simple but profound realization: the only person capable of saving you is yourself.
Released in late 2025 to widespread praise from fans and critics alike, Phantom :: Phoenix represented a defining moment for STELLAR CIRCUITS, showcasing the band’s ability to merge progressive complexity, crushing heaviness, and cinematic atmosphere with deeply personal songwriting. Exploring themes of rebirth, perseverance, and self-discovery through tracks such as ‘I See Your Spirit,’ ‘Corridor,’ and ‘Bury The Ashes,’ the album further cemented the band’s reputation for crafting emotionally resonant music without sacrificing technical prowess or intensity.
Building on that momentum, STELLAR CIRCUITS have spent 2026 on an impressive creative run, releasing a trio of standalone singles—’Spotlight,’ ‘Wounded Healer,’ and now ‘Stargazer.’ Each release has further expanded the band’s sonic palette while reinforcing the dynamic songwriting and emotional depth that continue to define their evolution.
Later this year, STELLAR CIRCUITS will embark on an extensive European headline tour with EVERGREY and IGNEA, bringing their latest material to fans across the continent.
