Re-Armed, the internationally acclaimed Finnish metal band, is known for their infectious riffs, melodic sensibility, and socially conscious lyrics. Throughout their long career, the band has explored numerous topical themes, and their latest single, Sky Falls Down, is no exception.
The band shares their thoughts on the song’s message:
“This track delves into the challenges of modern communication, such as the endless flow of information and the shouting matches often seen on social media and in the mainstream media. The lyrics invite listeners to reflect on how to navigate the constant noise and maintain a healthy sense of critical thinking without being misled – whether through opinion shaping or outright manipulation. Additionally, the song emphasizes the importance of genuine, person-to-person interaction and how easily that connection can be lost through instant messaging instead of face-to-face encounters.”
Sky Falls Down is not only timely but also a powerful showcase of Re-Armed’s ability to combine heavy riffs, melodic structures, and profound, introspective lyrics. The song’s choruses are elevated by a guest appearance from vocalist Mirva Saviniemi. The single is available now on all streaming platforms.
Progressive metal titans SACROSANCT have inked a worlwide record deal with powerhouse label ROAR, who are proud to release the band’s forthcoming studio offering, entitled “Kidron” ! Slated for a release on March 7, 2025, the album pre-sale has just started at: https://sacrosanct.rpm.link/kidron
The band comments: “We are thrilled to be part of the new ROAR family! Yes, it took another year to get everything up and running, and yes, we are all sure it was worth it! Thanks to Markus Wosgien for making this possible for us! With him and Lambros at ROAR we have strong partners at our side who support us in taking KIDRON out into the world! On CD, vinyl and live! Stay tuned!”
An official music video for the band’s first single, “Avenging Angel“, is now premiering below.
It’s the first track written for SACROSANCT’s fifth, new album “Kidron” and kind of a signature-song for the record. The song talks about Francis, their mascot and combines SACROSANCT’s distinctive melancholic mood, but at the same time is comprehensible without being commercially appealing. A complex, but catchy progressive metal hymn! Get the song now on all digital streaming providers at: https://sacrosanct.rpm.link/avenging
SACROSANCT, established in 1988, are a well respected name in the metal scene, most known for their three classic albums during the early 1990s: “Truth is – what is”, “Recesses for the depraved” and “Tragic intense”.
The SACROSANCT signature sound gradually progressed from sophisticated thrash metal to a more edgy, melodic and atmospheric aural landscape. The brainchild of founding member and lead guitar player Randy Meinhard (ex-Pestilence) returned in 2018, after a 25-year hiatus, with their fourth album “Necropolis”, which was highly acclaimed and bears all of the hallmarks and intricacies that defines SACROSANCT, with a strong emphasis on melancholic melodies and harmony guitar parts as well as a focus on thought-provoking lyrics. Six years later, SACROSANCT return with the even more powerful, still complex, but catchy “Kidron”, introducing their new singer Max Morton, who outshines the album with his clear, dynamic and unique voice. “The album combines all our trademarks, has a unique atmosphere due to all the circumstances we had to go through and is accessible and complex at the same time”, comments Randy Meinhard.
The special thing about SACROSANCT is, that every album sounds different. “We always write and play songs in our own way. We can’t and won’t deny our roots. Of course, our first albums were more thrash-heavy, but there was a lot more going on in the songs. You just can’t reduce us to that. I personally love metal from Maiden to Priest to Fates Warning, VoiVod or Slayer. When writing songs, I try to find out how heavy or “commercial” a song can be in our own way. But we always want to touch people with the music and if, for example, a blastbeat can be combined with the classic Sacrosanct riff trademarks, then we have arrived at “KIDRON”.”

It took some time, but Swiss LAST LEAF DOWN are finally back! Today marks their long-awaited return with the new single ‘Silence’, bringing their signature “dreamy shoegaze from the woods” back to life in a further developed sound.
“I worked on this song for a very long time and went through a rollercoaster of emotions with it. It is very special to me because it triggers something unique in me, as if it takes me in its arms and looks back with me, in security and with a little distance.“ – Comments LAST LEAF DOWN mastermind Benjamin Schenk on the new single
But not enough, the band will return with a brand new album in Spring 2025. Make sure to follow our channels to stay up to date – this is just the beginning!
Legendary Swedish cult act MEZZROW returns to the thrash metal scene with their new single, “As Fear Unfolds”! A music video for the first harbinger of a new album to follow in 2025, is now premiering below.
The band comments: “Recorded during the Summon Thy Demons-sessions and one of the first songs we wrote back in early 2021 (The lyrics were actually written for another song way back in 1992). It kind of stands out from the other songs on the album with its proggy approach! Within the band we call it our ”Mercyful Fate-song”, with all its different tempo changes and technical vibes going on. This is also the first studio recording featuring Alvaro ”Alvis” Svanerö on drums.”
MEZZROW built themselves a name in the thrash metal scene during the late eighties with their critically acclaimed demo tapes, “Frozen Soul” and “Cross of Tormention”. In 1990 they released their classic debut album “Then Came the Killing” through Active Records (Candlemass a.o.), a subsidiary of Music for Nations. The album is still today considered as one of the best, if not the best, thrash metal releases from Sweden and Scandinavia.
During 2021 MEZZROW rose from the ashes, when bass player Conny Welén (ex-Hexenhaus) and singer Uffe Pettersson (ex-Rosicrucian) decided to make a new mark in the thrash metal world of today, together with new guitarists Magnus Söderman (Nightrage) and Ronnie Björnström (ex-Defiatory, ex-Aeon), as well as drummer Alvaro “Alvis” Svanerö (Imperial Domain). Following their comeback album “Summon Thy Demons” (2023, Fireflash Records) and the much-acclaimed ”Keep It True – Live” record, MEZZROW are currently busy writing new material for a next album to be released in the hopefully not so distant future through ROAR. Twelve new songs are now ready for recording and this process has slightly begun. As the first single “As Fear Unfolds” proves, fans can expect a killer album with high intense Bay Area thrash with a Swedish melodic touch. 2025 – get ready for some new MEZZROW Thrash Metal!

Finnish HEADPHONE JACKS released their first single ‘Space Ghost’ from the forthcoming ‘Discipline’ album which is set to be released on April 11th 2025 via Inverse Records.
Music and lyrics written by Aleksi Lappalainen, Jaakko Anttonen, J-P Herlevi, Riku-Pekka Lappalainen
ISRC-code: FI3FC2449701
Single cover by Aleksi Lappalainen
The band comments: “Space Ghost is about a wild, psychedelic journey through space and time. The imagery of a “space machine” that “screams like a wolverine” and “rocks your rib cage like a raw beast” sets the tone for an intense, high-energy experience. The song emphasizes a sense of liberation and escape from reality. The mention of passing Mercury and floating in the fifth dimension adds a cosmic, otherworldly element to the journey. The lyrics also touch on themes of time travel, exploration, and the desire for freedom. Overall, the song celebrates the thrill of adventure and the pursuit of an unreal, transcendent reality.”
Sonically, Headphone Jacks draws inspiration from 90’s grunge and 00’s desert rock, prog, post-punk and today’s alternative bands. Band is not simply satisfied with writing just genre-faithful pieces – they mix it up with layered backing vocals to create lush choruses setting us apart from the typical meat-and-potatoes hard rock band. Each band member contributes to arranging and bringing in riffs, melodies and ideas.

About W.A.S.P.
Few Bands in the history of Rock N’ Roll have ever incited the love, the hate, the raw emotional effect this Band has had on the world. From the very beginning, in the small venues of Los Angeles California, and later to the numerous countries worldwide that banned these Winged Assassins from performing live, the Band’s unique style of Shock and Rock caused Religious organizations, Local City Councils, Parliaments, and the Washington D.C. Senate to hold hearings in an effort to bar this group from selling records and trashing stages everywhere they played.
The band’s founding member, frontman Blackie Lawless, has led the group as its lead vocalist and primary songwriter since its beginning. His unique brand of visual, social and political comment took the group to worldwide heights and sold millions of records alongside a legacy of sold out shows across the globe for 4 decades.
