Stripping the Pistol has released their fourth single, “Nothing To Believe In.” The track is now available through TLG|ZOID, distributed by Virgin Music Group.
When talking about the single, vocalist Kevin Cherello said, “It’s an anthem to ride or die friends.”
Charlie Tsiolis adds, “To me this song has that punk rock attitude that is currently missing – musically and lyrically.”
This band is about straight-in-your-face rock n’ roll. Stripping the Pistol formed with the intention of breaking the rules. The Chicago band blends aggression with melody. The seamless interplay of the dueling vocalists is balanced by the precision, power, and energy of the music.
VOIDWARDS are a minimalist, droning, extreme doom act that have existed, under various guises, since 2005. Amidst frequent line-up changes during this time, the core member{s} have remained true and committed to their vision of creating heavy, oppressive, claustrophobic doom.
This is the first full length album in their 20-year existence. Preferring earlier to channel their music through live performances and improvised recordings.
Historical research into a provincial Russian archive, done by the band’s vocalist, became the inspirational source for “Bagulnik”. This formed not only the lyrical concept, but a thematic flow for the whole album, including the lysergic dirge found in the music itself.
Most lyrics are extracted from the diaries of a rural teacher, named Ivan Perfiliev, who claimed that the swamp on the outskirts of the town possessed supernatural properties. Believing he could hear the voice of the swamp inside his head, constantly calling to him. Somewhere in the depths of this swamp, he believed, lived an unknown ancient beast that howled at the moon and caused great suffering.
In his diary, he also wrote how other people in the locality were suffering from the same condition. It hasn’t been possible to verify the accuracy of these accounts, occurring over a century ago, but through the album Voidwards take us on a sonic journey of the events from the swamp, giving both hypothesis and conclusion to what caused people in this area to have such visions and mental illness. Ivan was hospitalized with acute psychosis (schizophrenia) but later escaped the institution and ended his life through blunt trauma to his head.
The background noises throughout the album are processed field recordings. These were created at the location of the swamp (as well as in abandoned churches) in this part of northern Russia.
The focus on the cello throughout this album was used to specifically create some of the lysergic haunting sounds.
“Bagulnik” is an exploration in atmosphere and slow, oppressive tones.
It is not an album for the masses, not even for most interested in sub-genres of doom. But for anyone open-minded and willing to explore and immerse themselves in obscure, raw, claustrophobic, minimal, sounds then give it a try…… take this introspective journey of otherworldly music, blending drone and funeral doom.
Rockshots Records and Sound Storm are more than happy to announce the release of the brand new single called “Last Fading Light” off their new upcoming album “The Void Beyond” to be released next months to come.
The track is about a man that realizes that his days are finite and that the entire universe will one day inevitably fade into oblivion. ‘Tomorrow is just another day’ suggesting that the passage of time holds little meaning in the vast expanse of the cosmos. As a new day dawns, the universe remains indifferent. It features once again a blend of modern metal with progressive and speed metal influences, “Last Fading Light” showcases double lead vocals, haunting melodies and intense rhythms that will resonate with listeners. Experience the relentless energy and thought-provoking lyrics that define Sound Storm’s unique sound.
After 6 years of silence, new music from Sound Storm is finally on its way, a lot has changed over the years but one thing remains the same: their passion for creating powerful and emotional music. They’ve poured their hearts into the new stuff, and they’re hopeful it will resonate with both loyal fans and those discovering them for the first time.

CloZure is a high energy rock band that started out of South Alabama in early 2012 to fill a heavy rock niche that the South-East Alabama area lacked. The band has moved on to develop an ever evolving full-on rock show that they work hard to make a memorable experience, for each and every fan.
In late 2023 CloZure experienced some dynamic line-up changes, adding Nikollaj and Zack, which transformed the dynamics to a female fronted powerhouse of a band. Following those changes, November sent CloZure to 1979 Studios in Nashville, TN to record four new singles with the Grammy winning producer Malcolm Springer. Two of those singles, “The Devil Effect”, and “Nevermore” have since been released and well received. Those releases were quickly followed by a well crafted cover of Evanescence’s “Bring me to Life” which is still growing fans.
CloZure has had a great 2024 being newly signed to Wake Up Music who saw the potential in the band followed by Full Circle Media picking up the band. These new additions added fuel to the forge completing a near unstoppable team with a brand new single “Criminal Mind”!

US-based rising instrumental progressive metallers, Sometime In February, are pleased to launch a brand new single titled ‘Outside In’. This track will feature on the bands as-yet-untitled InsideOutMusic debut, which they have just finished recording, and will be released in Spring 2025. Listen to the track now here: https://sometimeinfebruary.lnk.to/OutsideIn
The band comments: “Outside In is one of Sometime in February’s proverbial kitchen sink tracks. There’s a little bit of everything we are in it. It takes us high in the mountains and back to sea level multiple times throughout its runtime. It’s heavy, melodic, and ever so complicated, making it increasingly unpredictable as it goes on. It’s also one of our few current seven-stringed guitar songs, and we always add a little more elbow grease in our songs featuring them.”
Earlier this year the band released a track titled ‘The Bad Fight’, which featured a guest appearance from Paul Waggoner of Between The Buried & Me. Watch it here: https://youtu.be/aKz6VlixlO0
Originally founded as an instrumental solo project for guitarist Tristan Auman in 2020, Sometime in February became a fully rounded prog rock trio with the addition of drummer Scott Barber and bassist Morgan Johnson after making the jump from studio to stage following the release of their EP ‘Here Goes’ in 2021.
The Carolina-based group has kept their foot on the gas ever since, touring throughout the Southeast US and releasing their follow-up, the debut LP ‘There Goes’, in 2023. Their first full-length record gained attention from prog fans and peers alike, with Tristan receiving an invitation to join Between the Buried and Me in a live capacity starting in 2023.
The band comments: “We are thrilled to be signing to the world’s premier label for progressive music, InsideOutMusic. Sometime in February wouldn’t exist without many of the artists on their roster, and it’s an honor to stand beside them. Thomas Waber has been supportive and encouraging to us for some time now, and we’re excited that we found the right moment to work together and make InsideOutMusic the home for the next era of Sometime in February.
InsideOutMusic label-head Thomas Waber adds: “We are extremely excited to be working alongside this talented young US band. After talking to them for a while, it felt like now was the right time to welcome them to the fold, and on the evidence of the new track ‘Hiding Place’, bright things are ahead!”
