On Monday, November 25 at Mondadori Duomo, Fabio will be in conversation with Lodovica Comello—actress, singer, and TV and radio host who presented the Rockin’1000 show in Cesena—and Michele Riva, CEO of ROI Edizioni, to discuss how From Zero to Thousand was born and to answer questions from the audience. A book signing session will follow. The evening will close with the Rockin’1000 Jam at the Hard Rock Cafe Milan, where musicians will take turns performing, bringing the spirit of Rockin’1000 to the stage in an event of pure collective energy.

Brief Bio Fabio Zaffagnini, born in 1976, a true Romagnolo, lives in Cesena and passionately leads Rockin’1000, the musical project that made the dream of a thousand musicians playing together come true, taking this vision from Italian stadiums to international stages. His career, which spans from scientific research to creativity, saw him working at the Institute of Marine Sciences of the National Research Council (CNR) and the Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change before founding Trail Me Up in 2011, a startup that made the world’s most remote trails accessible through immersive technologies. An international speaker and honoree of the Tribeca Disruptive Innovation Award, Fabio is also among the European Commission Experts for product design, with projects that combine creativity, innovation, and the desire to connect people in an authentic way.
Critically acclaimed British blues rock guitarist and vocalist Troy Redfern undertakes his biggest headline tour of the UK with 18 dates staring off at The Temperance in Leamington Spa on March 1st. *Special guests are Red Giant featuring YouTube guitar innovator Dave Simpson.
The highly anticipated tour will feature Troy Redfern (guitar, lead vocals), Keira Kenworthy (bass, backing vocals), and Nicky Waters (drums, percussion). Redfern will perform songs from his current album Invocation, plus fan favourites from his extensive back catalogue.
In addition to being a popular attraction on the festival circuit, Redfern’s UK touring track record reflects a hardworking and relentless musician at the top of his game. He’s toured the UK with Philip Sayce, Robert Jon & The Wreck, When Rivers Meet, The Sweet, and many more.
Following his November 2023 UK tour supporting guitar virtuoso Philip Sayce, Redfern was invited back to tour the UK with Sayce in November and December 2024. Redfern’s current album Invocation follows followed his critically acclaimed 2022 studio album The Wings of Salvation which received rave reviews.
“Redfern balances big-league chops with mad songwriting skills to bring us an action-packed set of blues rock that will blow out your windows,” says Blues Rock Review.

Redfern’s special guest at selected dates is Red Giant, the three-piece rock band and brainchild of guitar prodigy Dave Simpson’s whose YouTube channel has over 138,000 subscribers. Red Giant’s recently released eponymous debut album has received critical acclaim. “Comprising elements of rock, blues and grunge,” says Velvet Thunder, “the album is a refreshing and dynamic experience from start to finish.”
Red Giant’s latest single “Friends” is a homage to Simpson’s younger days of inebriated nihilism which portrays a typical Friday and Saturday night in the UK. With its driving riffs, powerful rhythm, and harmony guitar solo, it recalls legendary duos like Thin Lizzy’s Scott Gorham and Brian Robertson, Iron Maiden’s Dave Murray and Adrian Smith, and Metallica’s James Hetfield and Kirk Hammett.

Detest has returned stronger than ever with their latest release “A World Drowning in Detest”, a relentless assault that pushes the boundaries of death metal. This album marks a new era for the band, as they channel raw aggression, seasoned craftsmanship, and a renewed love for their craft into every note. On this record, the Danes are marching forward with a newfound sense of purpose and determination, leaving no stone unturned in their quest to find all in the extreme metal landscape.
Guitarist John Petersen, the band’s founder, sums up their mindset: “On “We Will Get What We Deserve”, I tried to limit myself, but this time, I’ve done the opposite—no limits”. With that ethos, “A World Drowning in Detest” features some of the most intense and complex material in the band’s discography, blending brutal riffs, blistering solos, and crushing grooves with a technical precision that hits harder than ever.
The addition of two new members has, indeed, taken the collective sound to unparalleled heights. Jesper Mathiesen return on drums has revitalized the band’s rhythms, infusing each track with powerful, high-octane energy. His drumming brings a sense of life and urgency to the music that is palpable, driving the songs forward with brutal efficiency. Anders L. Nissen, on guitar, has also brought a new dimension to Detest’s sound. “Anders has lifted the guitar work to a level I could never have imagined” John explains. “His technical prowess and creative input have enriched the band’s sound with complex layers and crushing power. Together, Jesper and Anders have given Detest a newfound strength, adding layers of depth and quality that elevate this album beyond anything we’ve done before”. Anders is, himself, very happy with the new material. “We sound like Detest and shouldn’t sound like anyone else, but people who love death metal shouldn’t fool themselves into diving into Detest and that Simon’s vocals reach new heights on the new record”.

“Tales from the Frozen Wastes” marks a significant evolution in Trollwar’s sound, showcasing a perfect blend of their brutal roots with refined symphonic orchestrations and progressive elements. The EP takes listeners on a journey through a dark dimension, exploring themes of fallen deities, the realm of the dead, and the consequences of mortal ambition. The band comments on the changes that can be found on the record:
“I think our EP could be described as a renewal. A renewal of our music and a new maturity for our music. I do think that you can hear it through our songs in this release. The ‘Unseen One’ and ‘In the Fields of Frost’ are both great songs that we wrote a couple of years ago, while ‘Bane of the Underworld’ and ‘The Offering’ are pretty much the new Trollwar that you should expect going forward. These two songs show a clear upgrade of how we write our music.”
