Prepare for an all-out sonic assault as INCITE return with their latest earth-shattering single, ‘No Mercy No Forgiveness.’ A relentless barrage of crushing riffs, thunderous grooves, and venomous vocals, this track is a war cry for the broken, the enraged, and the unstoppable. Fuelled by unbridled fury and a refusal to bow, INCITE deliver a firestorm of aggression, ripping through the silence with hammering precision.
Their upcoming album “Savage New Times,” set for release on August 15, 2025 via Reigning Phoenix Music, promises to be the heaviest, most unforgiving chapter in their legacy. With razor-sharp guitars, bone-crushing breakdowns, and riot-inciting anthems, this record is built for battle – unyielding, unrelenting, and unapologetically brutal. No mercy. No forgiveness. No turning back. Stay tuned.
Frontman Richie Cavalera comments on the single: “‘No Mercy No Forgiveness’ is an absolute monster. This song is pure, unfiltered aggression – exactly what we wanted to bring to the metalheads. Lyrically, I found myself so worried about other people’s opinions which resulted in a lot of personal failure. Once you show no mercy to achieving your dreams, everyone’s words become silent.”
Founded in Phoenix, Arizona in 2004 by frontman Richie Cavalera, INCITE blend groove and thrash metal with a raw, relentless edge. With Lennon Lopez on drums and EL on bass, the band have honed its unyielding sound across multiple albums, evolving with each release. Their punishing intensity is amplified by producer Steve Evetts (THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN, HATEBREED) and mixer Arthur Rizk (SOULFLY, MUNICIPAL WASTE), while striking artwork by Marcelo Vasco (SLAYER, KERRY KING) captures their ferocity. Known for their relentless touring, INCITE have conquered stages worldwide, sharing bills with DEVILDRIVER and SIX FEET UNDER, and proving their grit – like driving 500 miles through a blizzard to make a show. The addition of guitarist Layne Richardson has injected fresh energy, elevating both their live performances and songwriting. With sheer determination and raw talent, INCITE have carved out a place in modern thrash, dominating every stage with their unbreakable, unforgiving sound.

Cleveland’s favorite filth metal practitioners, MIDNIGHT, will unleash Steel, Rust And Disgust on May 23rd via Metal Blade Records.
One-man-army, Athenar, has been spewing out an ungodly racket, dropping countless demos, splits, EPs, and LPs and ultimately slaying the metal/punk underground with his own addictive brand of lust, grime, and sleaze for over two decades. The Steel, Rust And Disgust collective follows last year’s chart topping Hellish Expectations full-length and features ten unique cover tracks alongside two new cuts.
Athenar comments, “The idea to record an album of all cover jams with a certain theme is nothing quite new. The original title for this album was gonna be Throw Ups as an homage to the David Bowie’s Pin Ups album, also of covers. Although Throw Ups is only two syllables and I need six. I guess I could’ve called it Throw Downs Throw Outs Throw Ups, but that would be just fucking stupid.
“I just wanted to record some songs by bands who shared the same sights, sounds, and sewage of my region of birth,” he continues. “Some of these tunes you may have heard, some you may have not. So please, do yourself a favor and check out the original versions… if you want to transform into a total fucking slimebag that is!“
In advance of the record’s official release, today MIDNIGHT presents the original track, “Cleveland Metal.” Notes Athenar, “‘Cleveland’ and ‘metal.’ Those two words flow together like molten steel. This title was directly taken from a compilation album of the same name released in 1983 on Clubside Records, pre Auburn Records. The song was written as an erotic love letter to the cursed city whence I was thrusted upon and its fellow inhabitants of subhumans.”
German iconic blackened death metal duo, MYSTIC CIRCLE, has announced their “Kriegsgötter MMXXV” compilationalbum for a release on June 6, 2025 via ROAR! A music video forthe first single, a cover version of IRON MAIDEN‘s “Afraid To Shoot Strangers”, is streaming below. The album pre-sale is also now available at this location: https://mysticcircle.rpm.link/krieg
But let’s go back a quarter of a century to the year 2000: MYSTIC CIRCLE were at their peak at the time after the release of their third studio epic “Infernal Satanic Verses” and were rightly regarded as Germany’s leading black metal band. In the summer after the turn of the millennium, the Ludwigshafen-based band followed up with the 5-track EP “Kriegsgötter II”, a compilation of cover versions and new recordings. However, the founding line-up also broke up during this phase and A. Blackwar left the band. Only his return in 2020 and the reunion with vocalist Beelzebub conjured up the spirit of that time again, resulting in the two great new records “Mystic Circle” (2022) and “Erzdämon” (2023), closing the infamous circle (or pentagram?) again.
“It was inevitable for me to end my time with MYSTIC CIRCLE with “Kriegsgötter II”. The long break was necessary, we lost the connection to each other back then – which is stronger than ever today,” summarizes A. Blackwar and looks back with a teary eye, but also with a smile, because as so often in life, everything happens for a reason.
Now in 2025, “Kriegsgötter MMXXV” will be released as an extended new edition with 8 tracks featuring furious cover versions of classics such as from BATHORY, CELTIC FROST, POSSESSED or ACHERON, including the completely re-recorded cover of IRON MAIDEN’s“Afraid To Shoot Strangers”, premiering today!
“Afraid To Shoot Strangers”, feat. guest vocals from Sarah Jezebel Deva, is now available on all digital streaming services at https://mysticcircle.rpm.link/atssPR
The decision to cover “Afraid To Shoot Strangers” and release it on the new edition brings the band full circle to the past. “At some point back in the 90s, the “A Real Live One” by Iron Maiden was on high rotation in our car CD-player and we got stuck on the song,“ A. Blackwar reveals. “We listened to it over and over again. Then we decided we had to cover it with our keyboards and guitars. It’s good that we’ve done it 25 years later, it wouldn’t have been the right time back then. Now the result is exactly how we both imagined our version to be. Also Sarah Jezebel Deva was immediately back on board and her vocals ennoble and complete the track, her vocals are just a gem,” says the founding member, praising the British soprano, who has also made guest appearances with CRADLE OF FILTH, THE KOVENANT and THERION, among others.
Album Tracklist: 01 – One Rode To Asa Bay (feat. Sarah Jezebel Deva) 02 – Die Götter der Urväter 03 – Azazel’s Soulfly 04 – Cry Little Sister (Theme from “The Lost Boys”) 05 – Afraid To Shoot Strangers (feat. Sarah Jezebel Deva) 06 – Death Metal 07 – Acheron (Medley) 08 – Circle Of The Tyrants

The band comment: “Megafauna Europe begins in just a couple of days – Here’s a little treat to get you in the mood…
“As 2024 gradually drew to a close, we took to the familiar motorways of the UK to promote Megafauna. On this, our 7th studio album, we tried to tackle something of the camaraderie and community that we had been witness to growing up in the DIY scenes of Ireland’s North Coast. The band has always prided itself on trying to foster a similar atmosphere as we take our records out into the world. In this video scrap book Hannah Young has illustrated how the band’s touring life mixes both this quest for meaningful connection but also a quiet everyday mundanity. The ups, the downs and the middles of taking to the road “
Over the last 16 years, Northern Ireland’s instrumental rock quartet And So I Watch You From Afar have defied the layman’s definition of post-rock by absorbing new ideas and pushing the boundaries of their intricate and ecstatic guitar-based compositions. Crashing out of the gate with the big-riff worship and arena-level melodic heroics of their eponymous debut, ASIWYFA have continuously introduced new spins on their original sound while simultaneously expanding their sonic palette with every new album, taking in and repurposing everything from African high life to Irish trad to the weirdo math-rock of the late ‘90s / early ‘00s.
German death metallers DISCREATION welcome Skadi (Realm Of Chaos, Mellom) as their new vocalist. Together with her, the band has already recorded a video clip for the song ‘Blood Ritual’ from the current album “Iron Times” (2023, Massacre Records), which will be released soon.
Guitarist Sebastian Schilling comments: “Skadi is not only an excellent and versatile singer, but also brings the right spirit, which everyone will soon be able to hear for themselves when ‘Blood Ritual’ is released. We are looking forward to opening a new chapter with her”.
Skadi comments: “As a longtime fan of the band, it’s a great honor and a surreal feeling to be a part of it myself. I’ve had great predecessors and I embrace the challenge of maintaining the essence of the music and giving it my own voice. I can’t wait to perform live with DISCREATION and set new milestones together!”
The first show in the new line-up will take place on May 10th in Kassel, Germany, at the Goldgrube.
The collaboration with Marc Grewe has ended by mutual agreement. DISCREATION would like to thank Marc for the time spent together and the inspiring collaboration that resulted in the successful album “Iron Times”. The band wishes Marc all the best and continued success.
DISCREATION also say goodbye to their longtime guitarist Dave Hübsch, who has been a member of the band since 2009. “We greatly appreciate his contribution to the band and thank him for the time we spent together. We also wish Dave all the best for the future.”
