The Cruel Intentions release music video from the featured track “Triple Threat” from their latest album “All Hail Hypocrisy”!
The video was shot at the release-concerts in Bodø and Oslo, two epic nights of rock and celebration at the end of May. Filmed and edited by Marcus Undhagen at Sinus Stormen Bodø, Revolver Oslo and at Lucky L Tattoo in Bodø.
The song is playful, teasing, fast and dark. And even if it’s a fast paced punk-rock song this might be the most complex song on the album: From the small signature changes/up and down tempo, metal breakdowns, groovy solo; all makes the dynamic and diverge mix of parts in this song, which has already established itself as a live favorite.
And then we of course have the three words in the chorus, which is so cliche that it works. Why just not say it like it is? It’s about the consequences of having too much of a good time. The dark side of the temptations that we all encounter when we sell our bodies to the night! The perils of rock n roll decadence, as a famous band once said; We’ve all been there.

Terror Management Theory is out now on Season of Mist
Introducing TEMIC—prog’s newest, most ambitious, and most adrenaline-fueled act. TEMIC melds the creative minds of keyboardist and sound designer Diego Tejeida (Devin Townsend, Mike Portnoy’s Shattered Fortress, ex-Haken), guitarist Eric Gillette (The Neal Morse Band, Mike Portnoy’s Shattered Fortress), drummer Simen Sandnes (SHINING, Arkentype), bassist Miguel Pereira (Withem, Big City) and vocalist Fredrik Klemp (Maraton, 22).
The origins of TEMIC date back to 2017, when Tejeida and Gillette toured the world as band members of Mike Portnoy’s Shattered Fortress. From the very first chords they exchanged, their musical chemistry both on and off stage was undeniable, leading them to discuss the prospect of starting a new band together. Unfortunately, conflicting tour and recording commitments forced them to turn their attention elsewhere for years—that is, until the world came to a standstill in 2020, and Tejeida called Gillette to ask a fateful question: “Remember how we said we should make music together? Well, how about now?”
Thus, the first demos for what would later become TEMIC’s 2023 debut album, Terror Management Theory, began to emerge. Within a few weeks after that initial phone call, the musical vision of TEMIC had become clear: Let’s create progressive music that is heavily influenced by high-energy electronic music, but arranged and orchestrated for a 5-piece modern prog rock/metal band—where, at last, the pulse can be the focus, and the vocal melody can be king.
Eager to join forces with the very best bandmates, Tejeida and Gillette first summoned the rhythmic power of their friend and drummer Sandnes. With characteristic enthusiasm, Sandnes seized the opportunity, prepared to contribute his percussive prowess as the heartbeat of TEMIC. When it came time to find the singer that would carry TEMIC’s melodies to new heights, Sandnes recommended vocal powerhouse Klemp, whose emotive delivery and unmatched intensity left no doubt that he was destined to be the voice of TEMIC. Finally, to round out the rhythm section of Terror Management Theory, dynamic bassist Jacob Umansky (Intervals) was invited on board as a guest player, gracing the album with an unrivaled groove and a signature low-end sound.
Together, this mammoth lineup is TEMIC, a high-energy, electronic-inspired, modern melodic prog metal band for the next generation.

On September 4th, 2026, Vanaheim will release their highly anticipated follow-up concept album, which carries the name “Roede voor de Borst” together with a new band design and lyrics that tell a tragic, emotional but engaging story. The new album features top musicians like Coen Janssen of Epica and Nils Fischer of Eluveitie, who enhanced the band’s sound with their performances on all new tracks. The Dutch luminary of all things symphonic and melodic metal, aka Joost van den Broek produced, recorded and mixed the album before it was mastered by Finnish mastering legend Mika Jussila in Helsinki.
“Roede voor de Borst” involves the listener in an immersive storyline about regrets, despair, hope and salvation. A musical journey full of surprises coated by a Dutch 19th century setting that pulls you deep into a book of untold legends. The Dutch vocals award these songs with an emotional honesty which leads every sung word directly under your skin. With a rousing mix of symphonic heaviness, elegant folk-inspired melodies and grounding death metal riffs, Roede voor de Borst represents the next level of Vanaheim and a new level of epic folk metal.
OUTLIER release their powerful new single, “Become The Disease,” and an accompanying music video that visually amplifies the song’s descent into addiction, excess, and self-destruction. The track dives deep into the internal struggle between desire and consequence, delivering a relentless sonic assault that captures the weight of personal demons and the allure of surrendering to them.
“Become the Disease is a confession from the monster staring back in the mirror,” Joey Arena explains. “It’s about chasing fulfillment through excess, feeding the hunger that can never be satisfied, and embracing the poison long before searching for the cure.“
The song confronts the uncomfortable reality of becoming the very thing that threatens to consume you, inviting listeners to examine the darker corners of their own humanity.
“Become The Disease” is available now on all major streaming platforms.

Yet another bold release from brand new artist BADSQUATCH, the third single from his upcoming album (due in late 2026) embodies the word ”bold” in the song’s name alone. Now he’s dropping a monstrously heavy track, simply titled “FCK”, directly after the light-hearted second single that was a fun and groovy 80’s workout tune.
It’s getting more and more obvious that this artist doesn’t play by the rules that the industry has long been calling for: consistent sound and easy-to-swallow material. Instead, this new release is once again completely removed and different from the first two, with huge sounding guitars, dark and thundering basslines complementing brooding drums, and a rock vocal performance that truly digs deep with not only timbre and delivery, but also an honest vulnerability.
This song, with its connotations toward an expletive for a title, ironically, does not contain a single explicit word in the lyrics aside from the allusion in the name of the piece itself. Instead, the words craft a picture of the gut-wrenching moment one feels their heart fully break.
This text of such a powerful yet dreaded moment in life is painted with music sounding reminiscent of alarms and panic going off inside the head and heart. The guitars sweep from ear to ear in the mix, utilizing whammy and wah pedals to create a really eerie baseline before things come crashing in with the frantic energy of heavier and heavier riffs. All of this sets the stage for the big man to belt out a story about his experience and relationship with pain itself.
Considering the title of this song along with the full picture of the music and lyrics, this next release helps illuminate just a little more of this curious, new artist. BADSQUATCH seems to be carefully orchestrating which songs he’s sharing with us first, pushing the envelope of industry norms in modern release strategies, addressing uncomfortable subjects once again, and sharing what appears to be deeply personal moments in genre-defying aural statements. When asked about his inspirations behind the music, BADSQUATCH’s usual reply is that he’s simply sharing his experiences on the very personal journey that is discovering what it actually means to be human, and there’s nothing more human than heartbreak.

British rock icons SKUNK ANANSIE have released a brand-new remix of the stunningly emotional song “Meltdown,” which originally appeared as the closing track of last year’s Top 10 album ‘The Painful Truth,’ out now via FLG.
Lead singer Skin explains:
“’Meltdown’ is this deeply heartbreaking song about isolation. It’s one of the few SKUNK songs that doesn’t have a beat making it a perfect end to the album. We wanted to do a version that grooved a bit so we called up our friend Nick Sheldon [Blackhill] to add that flavor and we love what he’s done, hope you do too.”
The song, released on the same day as the emancipation of black Americans and is remembered with the Juneteenth holiday, becomes transformed from a sparsely ethereal, vocal-led piece of minimalist piano music into a club-based anthem. Despite the sadness of the lyrics, its new and upbeat musical backing is celebratory and destined to ring out across sound-systems from New York to Ibiza.
The new track’s parent album, ‘The Painful Truth,’ is a mesmerising, provocative, powerful and emotional collection, which was greeted by rapturous reviews around the world on its release at the end of May 2026. And to mark that recent one-year anniversary, a brand-new limited-edition zoetrope vinyl version of the album will be released on October 9th, via FLG.
SKUNK ANANSIE are currently on a co-headlining tour of the UK with Garbage, with further UK shows this summer alongside both Alanis Morrissette and My Chemical Romance. They also have extensive tour dates across Europe. A full list of dates can be found below.
