Mike Corcione is a rabid music fan who lived his dream of making it in the music industry through a whirlwind rock and roll career beginning in the late 1970s through the 1980s. Starting his professional life in music as a nightclub DJ in 1978 working for wiseguys in clubs on Long Island, Tales From the Gutter follows Mike as he ascends the ladder of working in music at thrash metal record labels and import record distributors, leading an underground cult-favorite New York City sleaze metal band, Sweet Pain, tour managing for the platinum selling heavy metal band, L.A. Guns, promoting rock and roll nightclubs, and DJing at Peter Gatien’s infamous Club Kid hangout, the Limelight, in an era of legally drinking at 18, no-photo driver’s licenses, and the pre-crack and pre-AIDS New York City.
Raised in an environment of old world Italian values with the infamous Lucchese wiseguys featured in Martin Scorcese’s Goodfellas, it was ultimately music that gave Mike his purpose. This is a story of passion, hard work, and making your dreams come true, with lots of rock and roll debauchery on the side. Follow Mike and his friends in TALES FROM THE GUTTER on their wild adventures with Mötley Crüe, Ratt, Twisted Sister, Danger Danger, Iron Maiden, L.A. Guns, and more, while gaining fascinating insight into a bygone era when the music industry was at the height of its powers.
Norwegian hard rockers CONCEPTION have organized four successful camps with fans, an unusual and unique way to crowdfund their albums and tours which have created close relationships between the band and their fans. The first four camps have taken them to different beautiful locations in Norway, like Trollstigen and Telemark, but for their next camp in September they have chosen the old Viking city of Birka in lake Mälaren outside Stockholm, Sweden.
The Viking culture keeps fascinating people not just in Scandinavia, but all over the world. They were known to organize their own ”olympics”, games where clans would compete and socialize, and in Birka the staff will help organize the Conception Viking Games as a highlight for the camp this year. While staying the UNESCO World Heritage Site campers will also be able to visit reconstructions of Viking houses and old Viking graves, get guided tours and enjoy mead tasting.

British independent band WEAK13 launch their latest single I’m More Metal Than You! on April 13th 2023 marking their debut release after signing with record label Sliptrick Records. The song arrives with a fresh new official video and the artwork for the single was created by Andy Meanock.
WEAK13 singer & guitarist Nick J Townsend was asked what the new song is about and he replied; “It’s basically a song about how Metal we are; so metal that we’re more metal than you; I hope that’s helped solve the mystery.”
On 12 May, the new album “Fast Forward” by the German industrial thrashers PARITY BOOT will be released via Black Sunset/MDD. The guys have had to wait a full 14 years for the follow-up to their 2009 debut “Into Nothing”, but it was worth the wait!

Finnish Hybrid Heavy Metal Band Vansidian released a new single and music video Cycle. The track is taken from the upcoming debut album Reflecting the Shadows which is set to be released on May 19th 2023.
The band comments Cycle single: “The latest single from the upcoming album “Reflecting the Shadows”, titled “Cycle”, will be released on Friday, April 14, 2023. The song is one of the more ravaging tracks on the album and shakes the boundaries of the listener’s reality. Musically, the song is powerful and epic in Vansidian’s style, but especially the super catchy chorus sets it apart from other band’s releases. The narrator, who moves between the past and the future, tries to correct the flow of time in his favor. In his desperation, he travels through time and eventually believes he might find the right path.”
