On 30th September, Austrians VERMOCRACY released their second album “Age Of Dysphoria” via Black Sunset/MDD and have since inspired many friends of dark melodic death metal.
With “Necrocracy”, a few weeks ago there was already a chic lyric video, which was based on the dystopian cover artwork of the album. Now the quintet has gone one better with a superb video clip! For this, the track “Grace Of Hypnos” was provided with a visual story concept by Markus Schlögl (maschl.media) and realised. The performance scenes were filmed in the Escape Metalcorner in Vienna. “Age Of Dystphoria” is available on all streaming and download platforms, as well as in well-stocked stores.
On 16 September, the new BATTLESWORD album “Towards The Unknown” was released via MDD Records and has since received several top marks in the worldwide trade press and a large number of features and interviews.
With “Hound Of Hades”, the quintet now releases a lyric video for one of the album’s songs, which, after the CD and limited Alubox/DigiPak version, will soon also be released on vinyl via DocGator.
Those who like a mix of melodic death and Scandinavian old school should definitely enjoy the new lyric video as well as the complete album. “Towards The Unknown” contains the songs from “The 13th Black Crusade” maxi from 2008, remastered by Dan Swanö, as a bonus.
Australian rocker Cassidy Paris has had a busy 2022. With a sold out EP Launch for her latest ep ‘Flirt’ and multiple live shows all over her home country of Australia, furthermore Cassidy is currently on her first ever tour of the UK. Gigs include festival appearances at Hard Rock Hell,Winter Storm, and a special guest slot to fellow Aussie rockers, Wicked Smile. See the list of remaining shows below.
At just 19 years old, Cassidy is delivering her rockiest single yet. ‘Danger’ is a 80s infused rock track with a modern twist that’s sure to please fans of melodic rock who won’t want to miss her on tour in the UK this month.
Cassidy says, “I’ve had an overwhelming amount of support from the UK, so it’s incredibly exciting for me to be heading over for the first time on a month-long tour. My new single ‘Danger’ is out hours before I land in the UK so it’s going to be rad to debut that live. This new single is a representation of the rock music I was raised on, so it’s going to be extremely cool to chat to everyone about how it came to be. Touring overseas is a literal dream come true for someone of my age, and I’m ready to rock the UK.”
Raised on classic hard rock and inspired by female rockers such as Lzzy Hale, Joan Jett, Pink, Pat Benatar & Avril Lavigne, the fiercely determined teenager is on a mission to inspire a new generation of younger fans to not only listen to Rock ‘n’ Roll, but pick up a guitar instead of a phone.
At the age of 11, Cassidy met singer songwriter Paul Laine (ex Danger Danger, The Defiants), who developed a unique mentoring role. Paul took Cassidy under his wing to help develop Cassidy as an artist and songwriter, collaborating with her in songwriting and producing her music. From early on, Cassidy has wanted to deliver a strong message through her music. In 2018, she released ‘Stand’, a heartfelt song about ‘standing up for yourself’ as a young woman. Cassidy continues to deliver that message, promoting anti-bullying through performances at many schools around Melbourne, Australia and is an active campaigner for the worldwide ‘Metalheads Against Bullying’ organisation.
Cassidy has built up a strong connection with her growing worldwide fan base that has already seen her perform in America and Japan. She was also invited twice onto the line-up of the New Wave of Classic Rock WebFest. Her talents have not gone unnoticed by one of the major guitar giants Fender, lending their support by joining forces with Cassidy to bring her on as an endorsee of Fender Squier Guitars. Cassidy has also joined the roster of Silverback Touring Agency.
Further to this, Cassidy has been acknowledged as a semi-finalist for her song writing efforts in the International Songwriting Competition (ISC) for Best Rock Song and Best Unsigned Artist.
2022 has seen Cassidy tour Australia with the likes of support shows with John Corabi & H.E.A.T with a month long current U.K. Tour.
