Italian Gothic Rock outfit THE SADE announced their brand new album “Nocturna”, which will see the light of day on October 28th via Go Down Records!
“Nocturna” is a gloomy album, influenced by the pandemic situation of the last two years and it further increases the already dark style of The Sade. This work collects eclectic tracks composed between 2019 and 2020, which move far away from the rock’n’roll vibes of the early days, to turn into a new dark-wave and goth mood.
The cover with the black rooster is emblematic, complex and represents the triumph of the “beast” in a pessimistic and nihilistic depiction of the human condition, which is now more fragile and guilty than ever. It is a visual recall to the Middle Ages as a time of darkness, dominated by ignorance and uncertainty, comparable to what we are experiencing today. The rooster is a symbol of passage between life and death, light and shadow, beginning and ending, fall and rebirth, unstable like the mood during recent lockdowns. It leads us on a musical journey into the deep darkness of this alienation: melancholic moments alternate with massive doses of synthetic sounds, with 80s and post-punk overtones.
Tracklist reads as follows:
Sinner
End of Time
No Mercy
Guilty
King and Queen 6. Oracle
Lullaby
She Dies
Long Live Death
Another Prayer
Flatline
Drama

Following last week’s announcement about Joanne Shaw Taylor’s new breakthrough studio album “Nobody’s Fool,” today, Joanne has premiered the official music video for her new single “Just No Gettting Over You (Dream Cruise)”. The music video can be viewed on YouTube, below.
The new album “Nobody’s Fool” will be released on Joe Bonamassa’s KTBA Records worldwide Friday, October 28th. The album is available to pre-order HERE
The new album, recorded at Sunset Sound in Los Angeles, is produced by Joe Bonamassa and Josh Smith and features Joe Bonamassa on “Won’t Be Fooled Again,” guitarist Carmen Vandenberg (Bones UK) on “Figure It Out,” cellist Tina Guo on “Fade Away” and music legend Dave Stewart on a cover of the Eurythmics classic “Missionary Man.”
The first single from the album, “Just No Getting Over You (Dream Cruise),” can be streamed and downloaded HERE.
Joanne as born and raised in the UK and was discovered at the age of 16 by music icon Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics. Right from the get-go, Joanne’s incredible guitar playing, and distinctive sultry vocals set her apart from the rest of the crowd.
Nobody’s Fool is her most personal album to date. Joanne’s writing lays bare love, loss, and the desire to be free of the past through the vessel of catchy hooks and infectious guitar riffs.
Her vocal style, writing prowess and guitar skills take the listener on a journey into the wasteland of love and back into the light of hope and redemption. Nobody’s Fool takes Joanne into new territory that can be described as retro pop with a modern flare, yet still encompasses the emotion of her blues roots.
“The title track opens the album and sets the mood with JST’s signature husky, soulful vocals embellished with some powerful guitar lines,” says Guitarist Magazine.
Joanne wrote all the songs on the album except “Missionary Man,” which is written by Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics.
Joanne co-wrote “New Love” with Josh Smith, Calvin Turner, and Dylan Altman, “Then There’s You” with James House, “Fade Away” with Sharon Corbitt, and “The Leaving Kind” co-written with Joe Bonamassa, Leslie Satcher, and Beth Nielsen-Chapman (Willie Nelson, Sheryl Crow, Bonnie Raitt).

Did you ever wonder how a Linkin Park and Eminem collaboration would sound? Pittsburgh nu-metal merchants DisasterTheory answer that question with their new single ‘Overcome’, which features the rap god himself Marshall Mathers as well as Swifty McVay from the notorious hip-hop group D12. D12 was a Hip-Hop collective that gained mainstream success under Eminem’s leadership and also featured Proof, Bizarre, Mr. Porter, Kuniva, and Swifty McVay.
From the catchy intro riff, Marshall Mathers’ classic line “Guess Who’s Back”, to Mark Thomas’ rapping as well as his singing on the chorus, ‘Overcome’ is a dream come true for every 2000s music fan. The song is a perfect marriage of hard-hitting metal guitar riffing courtesy of DisasterTheory as well as Swifty McVay and Marshall Mathers’ aggressive gangster rapping style, frontman Mark Thomas notes;
‘The lyrics are basically about struggling as an artist, coming from rough places and dealing with the haters and naysayers along the way, telling you you’ll never make it, it’s too difficult…but rebelling against the sentiment that you don’t have what it takes.’
As Marshall Mathers and Swifty McVay both grew up in Detroit, and had a rough start with their careers, it seems fitting that this song is about making it as an artist from a poor and challenging background.
More About The Band:
With hard-hitting riffs, gruff vocals, turn tables, and rapping, DisasterTheory’s style of nu-metal music will get you pumped and energized for the day. Hailing from the Pittsburgh area of Pennsylvania, USA, DisasterTheory, is the continuation of the golden age of rap metal. DisasterTheory delivers its style of emotion-filled deep lyrics, as well as angst, to the masses. Often compared to artists such as Linkin Park, Korn, and Three Days Grace, DisasterTheory takes a serious and heartfelt approach to their music from a very personal and honest perspective and then combines it with heavy drums, heavy guitars, a killer bass line, some turntables, and both clean and gruff vocals and even some rap. The inspiration DisasterTheory pulls from is as diverse as the band members. They draw inspiration from artists like Mike Shinoda, Slipknot, Bring Me The Horizon, and even some classical composers. DisasterTheory has been featured in IMAAI and West Virginia’s 100.1 WCLG, among others. DisasterTheory has also released two full-length albums since 2019, their latest being “Destination Nowhere,” and has recorded heavy metal covers of classic songs such as What’s Up, Genie In A Bottle, and Gangster’s Paradise.
DisasterTheory Lineup:
Mark Thomas: Lead Vocals/Guitar Derrick Everhart: Bass Justin Farrier: Drums Rob “Lizardman” Nolte: Turntables
With the departure of Riley McShane, ALLEGAEON are thrilled to be joined by their former vocalist Ezra Haynes on the band’s upcoming European tour alongside Rivers of Nihil, Fallujah, Inferi, and Harbinger.
The band stated: Ezra recorded and toured extensively withus on our first three albums, and we are so excited to tour with him once more.
Ezra had this to share, “Going overseas and playing for Allegaeon fans has always been the piece missing out of my personal Allegaeon puzzle. A similar feeling to an unfinished task. It has been pretty surreal receiving this opportunity 7+ years after my much needed departure. I am very excited for this run and I hope I’m able to meet so many long-time Allegaeon fans. Thanks again to the boys for the opportunity! See ya out there!“

About the band: Over the past fifteen years, Colorado’s Allegaeon have built themselves a unique place in the musical landscape, forcing both technicality and melody to the forefront as they create tumultuous and riveting death metal. With DAMNUM, their sixth full-length, they push everything further into the extreme, and in the process deliver the definitive Allegaeon record, which while forging into new territory, takes everything compelling about the band and enhances it.
Dave Otero, who has produced everything except the band’s 2012 album Formshifter, once again joined the band in Flatline Audio studio, Burgess asserting that working with him is “always easy and a blast.”
Russian Karelian Neofolk collective THEODOR BASTARD is now releasing an emotional cover version of QUEEN‘s 1991 hit, “The Show Must Go On.” The inventive version of the song can be found along with a stunning music video at THIS LOCATION.
THEODOR BASTARD previously announced the re-issue of their 2015 masterpiece ‘Vetvi’, which was originally released on April 29, 2015. The album was re-released via Season of Mist in 2021 and is still available HERE.
The multi-layered and unpredictable 2015 album ‘Vetvi’ from THEODOR BASTARD, inherits the band’s recognizable multi-genre approach where psychedelic trip hop, combined with cinematic instrumentals and archaic world music, meets modern technological electronics. THEODOR BASTARD combine Russian texts with glossolalia and shamanic spells as easily as they change instruments on stage.
THEODOR BASTARD is one of Russia’s most unusual bands representing the electronic Karelian neofolk genre. Also elements of dark wave and trip hop are present in the band’s music. The message doesn’t carry out everyday problems and is mainly focused on mythology and shamanism. The hallmarks of the band are the unique and bewitching lead vocals of multi-talent Yana Veva and the impeccable sound producing skills of Fedor Svolotch, founder of the band who created the band 20 years ago.
From album to album, THEODOR BASTARD carefully and masterly combine many different exotic and traditional instruments. The special northern atmosphere of their albums is created with Nordic nyckelharpa and jouhikko, primeval flutes created from tree roots and shamanic percussion.
“We live in the north of Russia in Karelia, which has a difficult fate” states band leader Fedor Svolotch. He continues: “This is a harsh northern region with unpredictable nature, with spruce and pine forests. Bears are found here. Moose and hare come straight to my house. In Karelia there are beautiful cliffs and clear lakes with fresh water. These are our personal places of power, the places where stones and winds are talking to us. Singing for us a songs of the northern harsh nature”.
THEODOR BASTARD‘s music is set out to take listeners to unexplored and other worlds. From the cold and twilight realms of the marshy swamps of taiga and mossy tundra, to unexplored places where the earthly plane and the spiritual world are separated only by a thin ghostly veil. THEODOR BASTARD consists of 6 musicians, turning their performances into a dark magic act that sends the audience back to Northern musical traditions, to the Karelian and the Russian folk. The musicians use a variety of electronic devices and ethnic instruments, but also their own hand-made instruments from stones, human bone and the roots of Karelian birch.
For over twenty years THEODOR BASTARD have been known for their amazing serious attitude to the world beyond that very frontier. The band’s 2015 re-issue of ‘Vetvi’ is set out to take listeners to unexplored and other worlds!
