On 30 September “Age Of Dysphoria”, the second album by the Viennese melodic death metallers VERMOCRACY, will be released via Black Sunset/MDD. Friends of dark melodic death metal with a clear homage to the genre greats of the 90s will certainly enjoy it, because stylistically and in terms of content, the band draws a dystopian picture of the failure and decay of modern society with powerful riffs, earthy grooves and bestial vocals. With “Necrocracy”, a first sample is now available on the label’s YouTube channel. In addition to the CD release, there will also be a chic aluminium box containing the album as well as a few additional gimmicks such as patches and stickers and a signed autograph card. The final tracklist of the album is attached!

The new album “Second Life” realized by DRAGONHAMMER and out on November 4th via My Kingdom Music hides an interesting concept that keyboards player Giulio Cattivera explains to us in detail:
“Second Life” is a story that concerns us all. The goal I had set for this album was to tell the most important phases of life. The main character, song by song, will allow the listener to identify with his story.
It happens to everyone -probably- to experience a moment where we feel oppressed, perhaps by a life imposed by others, which is not the right one. A moment that kills and demotivates us and lets us slip into a kind of torpor from which we can only awake by stopping lying to ourselves. But life is a constant challenge and to follow ‘our path’ we can find ourselves facing critical situations, re-evaluating our loved ones and asking ourselves if what surrounds us is really what we want. There are also, during our journey, events that change our existence: the loss of someone or the risk of losing ourselves, for example.
At a certain point, we understand how we have lived until now, what values our existence has and how we want to lead it to the end. When we realize this, we are reborn in a second life.
I wanted to set the story in a historical period of the past, because the thoughts of the people of yesterday are also ours, the feelings and emotions have no time and this is what all men of any era have in common.
This is “Second Life”: an album that talks about that moment in which we are granted a second chance and become aware of what is really important. A story that unites all of us as men, but also DRAGONHAMMER as a band: the three people on the cover depict the main character in his three life stages that empathically connect to the dragon, the essence of the band.
Inside the booklet of the album, listeners will find a message left by the protagonist, but I can’t reveal anything else! Listening to the songs, you will understand all the phases of this story”.
Their powerful lyrics are based deep in Canadian history, delivered through their complex melodies and soaring clean vocals of progressive symphonic metal – all this has brought them a strong and growing fanbase in their home country and beyond: European fans will know the up- and coming quintet OSYRON through their critically acclaimed albums Foundations (July 2020) and Kingsbane (2017, re-released as a Deluxe Edition in May 2021). Together, the albums spent 24 weeks with 37 appearances on the Canadian charts.
Inspired by their prior successes, Osyron have started to work on a new album in 2021, taking the modern and progressive sound and feel that they have created with Foundations and pushing it even further. The outcome is what the band feels is their strongest album to date: The first single Dominion Day took an impressive stand on that, landing on the Spotify editorial “All New Metal” playlist, which leads OSYRON to be even more proud to present Momentous. The brand new album will be released on November 4th 2022 on all major streaming platforms. This announcement comes with the release of the auspicious second single Beyond the Sun, making it 100% clear how Osyron have once again put their hearts and souls into the creative progress: It’s impossible to not hear and feel the devotion they have invested in their new music.
Beyond the Sun is yet another piece of high quality progressive music from the Canadian quintet, both epic and catchy with dynamic clean vocals, blended with powerful growling, delivered in a way that just leaves you craving for more. Flowing guitar sounds, dominant yet beneficial basslines and perfectly paced drums all add to the immersive experience, completed by a songwriting that seems to have gotten even stronger with every album: Lyrically, Osyron have always found strong, meaningful subjects to write about. Beyond the Sun really lives up to its name by going beyond and viewing life on a bigger scale, as the band explains: “More or less a love song, Beyond the Sun is about the ‘larger than life feeling’ of finding someone you belong with. Attributing the passion and emotions to that feeling of being beyond our galaxy, and beyond our sun.”
As another album created during the COVID-19 pandemic, Momentous resonates with the listener in many ways; leaving space to relate to the poetic themes and incredibly touching lyrics. Momentous explores our everyday life struggles by going beyond the difficulties and viewing them from different perspectives, mirroring recent times’s battles during the pandemic with all the pain and misery suddenly breaking into our lives, putting some heavy obstacles in the way. Listening to Momentous feels like Osyron just wrote a piece of concerned literature on how we managed to deal with all of that – wrapped up in a compelling musical form.
Momentous by Osyron will be released on November 4th, 2022 and it’s ready for pre-order here: https://osyron.bandcamp.com

AMBASSADORS OF ETERNITY have released a new music video for the track “Wreck” is taken from the bands first EP, “Arrival”, which was self-released in may 2022.
“The carrying theme in this song is loneliness and despair with a glimpse of light towards the end of the track” says vocalist Sammy. The video was shot during the summer ’22 in the beautiful and atmospheric setup in Uusimaa region, Finland. “The song was an easy choise for the video due it’s story and it builds up nicely with very powerful chorus.” Sammy continues.
The band is formed in 2020. It has recorded and produced their debut EP mostly themselves, in collaboration with Los Angeles-based producer Eric Emery. Eric is a Grammy nominee and a skilled multi-instrumentalist.
Emery is also a singer in a band Skyharbor.
Some words from Eric: “As soon as they played me the demos I knew i had to work with these guys. I’m always looking for new artists to develop that have character and these guys have it in spades.
From the moment we started chatting we all realized we were on the exact same page and I was inspired by how receptive they all were to the idea of collaboration. I’m looking forward to making some really unique and cool music with these guys. You’re all in for a treat!”
Ambassadors of Eternity’s music features atmospheric alternative rock with prog elements. On the first EP, we wanted to show the diversity of the band, so the five-track EP felt like a good opening for the game. We paint different emotional states in our songs and we think we achieved them well with this recording.
In anticipation of their debut Kings of Thrash October shows, David Ellefson and Jeff Young along with Chris Poland, Chaz Leon, and Fred Aching commenced rehearsals this week in Los Angeles. The shows will feature the band performing legendary thrash albums Killing is My Business…and Business is Good and So Far, So Good…So What. The band has released rehearsal footage today.
