FAUST return with the fourth album in his 25-year history of their thrash/death metal playing. New album titled “Cisza po Tobie” refers stylistically to the enthusiastically received concept of the previous album “Wspólnota Brudnych Sumień” (recognized by Musick Magazine as one of the most important releases of the last decade in Polish metal). It is the most brutal, fastest and at the same time the most lyrical album of this formation. From the extreme blasts of Pavulon to a funeral song based on white voices and no other instruments. This album breaks the backbones of stereotypes and broadens the boundaries of metal. Fans of the old KAT, Morbid Angel, Testament, Death and even Dead Can Dance or Slavic music will not be disappointed.
Music for this album was recorded, mixed and mastered in cooperation with Filip Hałucha at Heinrich House Studio (Hate, Vesania), while drums were recorded with Paweł Granowski at JNS Studio (Antigama, Riverside).
Album premiere is scheduled at 30th September 2022 and will be released as CD jewelbox with cooperation of Polish label Szataniec, pre-order will be available at 12 September. The author of the cover artwork and the 28-page insert with hand-painted graphics is Anna Malesińska, Piotr Czajkowski is responsible for the layout.
The band’s commentary on the new album: “The order of the tracks on the album is not accidental. The cover of the album, depicting a sad Mary with a child in her arms, surrounded by rotting fruit and predatory or scavenging insects, suggests that it will be a collection of reflections on the moral condition of contemporary society, rooted in Christian values. Values that rot, corrode, and often justify hatred and intolerance. In the musical layer, the group tries to present the mechanisms that ultimately lead to rape, violence, emigration, genocide and people’s indifference to these phenomena. It is a story of a parent and a child fleeing from persecution until they are no longer able to run away. That is why the last piece, sung in a white voice, is both a lullaby and a funeral song. The author of the text explains his personal philosophy about what will happen to us after death. If you look at it from the perspective of Tomek Dąbrowski – death does not exist“.

With their third-full length album “In the Hollow of a Wave” having hit the streets on Karisma Records almost year ago, Norwegian rockers MONSTEREO have decided that, on the 7th September, they will celebrate with a new, never -before released digi single.
As the band explains:
We decided to mark the occasion of the anniversary of the release of “In the Hollow of a Wave” with a B-side taken from the original recordings. The tune is called “The Mirror Black” and it has a late summer-ish ’90s vibe, layered with electric guitars and tons of acoustic guitars, some mellow piano and tasteful mellotron. And of course, the bendy solo guitar that can be heard running through a Leslie speaker.
Written by our guitarist and vocalist Ola Utaaker Segadal , it was a hard tune to have to omit from the album and we discussed it for weeks, but eventually we had to accept that we needed to remove two tracks in order to fit the record on one vinyl, so there you go!
The initial idea was to include the song on our fourth album, which is scheduled to be recorded some time during 2023, but, as it transpired, Ola and Øyvind had written so many new songs that it would have been hard to fit these two in. But we really like the track, so it is nice to release “The Mirror Black” in this way instead of just hiding it away.
“The Mirror Black” is produced, mixed and mastered by Iver Sandøy, who also plays mellotron and percussions on the track, and was recorded at the Duper Studio in January 2020. With additional recordings in the Solslottet studio and in Ola’s house later the same year, and with artwork by Robert Høyem, “The Mirror Black” can be downloaded or streamed from a number of services at https://link.karismarecords.no/Monstereo_The_Mirror_Black

Tetzel’s vocal counterpart Antonio Calanna adds:
“Who would have thought that a few months ago? When the omens are right, sometimes things can happen very quickly – and All For Metal is the best example for me. Tetzel and I share a common vision and already during the process of creating the songs it was clear to me that we have something very special here. The powerful melodic metal clear vocals of the charismatic Antonio and the rather rough organ of the muscle-bound giant Tetzel harmonize perfectly with each other and give this promising new band that certain something. The two are accompanied by masked musicians whose identities are still unknown. Currently, the release of the ALL FOR METAL debut single is being prepared.
The undisputed harbinger of metal horror WEDNESDAY 13 recently announced his highly-anticipated next album of terrifyingly grim and groovy anthems, entitled Horrifier, out October 7, 2022 via Napalm Records. Following up on 2019’s acclaimed Necrophaze(#2 US Heatseekers), with Horrifier, the former frontman of renowned horror punk supergroup Murderdolls revitalizes his sound with intensely fun punk energy and metallic attitude!
Following up on the album’s addictive first single, “You’re so Hideous”, today, WEDNESDAY 13 has revealed what is likely one of, if not the heaviest track of his career, entitled “Insides Out”. The gory track – accompanied today by an equally gruesome video – boasts a colossal main riff before roaring with a searing chorus featuring slithering vocals and hair-raising guitar effects.
WEDNESDAY 13 says about “Insides Out”: “Our latest single ‘Insides Out’ is a very heavy song, so it only made sense to make a video to match the sound! Torture and violence is the main theme of this song, and we continue along the lines of the last music video with another horror movie theme here too.”
Showcasing a blend of styles plucked from the band’s 20-year career, Horrifier weaves an underlying sonic thread reminiscent of WEDNESDAY 13’s roots – a raucous blend of ballistic metal and macabre heavy rock that’ll have new and diehard fans alike ascending from the depths. As always, various tracks on the album are inspired by classic horror flicks, this time circling cult-favorite slasher John Carpenter’sHalloween and the iconic Christine supernatural thrillers.
WEDNESDAY 13’s ninth full-length album kicks off with eerie introductory track “Severed” before careening into one of the band’s heaviest songs ever recorded, the massive, slow and low “Insides Out”. The aggressive, industrial-edged “Exhume and Devour” and warning sing-a-long single “You’re so Hideous” pick up the pace with danceable 90s sonic vigor, while surefire hit “Good Day to Be a Bad Guy” aces the pure horror punk spirit of Murderdolls as a downright blissful tongue-in-cheek earworm that’ll seep into the listener’s head on repeat. John Carpenter’sHalloween inspired anthem “Return to Haddonfield” convinces with marching gang vocals and a searing metallic guitar solo before the pace picks up again on fast-riffing, mosh-ready title track “Horrifier”. Southern-fried metal tinged “Hell Is Coming” is one of the album’s best displays of stylistic versatility, accented by an impressively commanding vocal performance while pumping out a thrash-worthy breakdown and blues rock solo. “Halfway to the Grave” sees the band echoing 80s flavor accented by memorable leads and imploring lyrics before leading into the charging Christine themed album standout “Christine: Fury in the Night”, featuring pounding drums, an unforgettable hook and a transfixing guitar lead that quite literally drives. Horrifier closes with its most heartfelt track, “The Other Side” – a personal ode WEDNESDAY 13 penned about the sudden loss of his mother, as well as former Murderdolls bandmate Joey Jordison – but that also shines as a vital anthem made further pertinent after recent years of intense worldwide loss and reflection.

As the band’s current single, “Silver Tongue,” moves up the rock radio charts and its music video crossed a million plays in less than a month, acclaimed rockers ALTER BRIDGE are back with another track from their upcoming seventh studio album, Pawns & Kings– scheduled for worldwide release on October 14 via Napalm Records. “Sin After Sin” is the latest epic track released by the quartet comprised of Myles Kennedy on vocals/guitars, Mark Tremonti on guitars/vocals, Brian Marshall on bass and Scott Phillips on drums. The song clocks in at 6:43 and is the second longest song on the new album. The lyric video was created by ALTER BRIDGE visual collaborator Wayne Joyner and can be seen below.
From the opening riffs of “This Is War” to the title track album closer “Pawns & Kings,”ALTER BRIDGE returns with an album of intense tracks that were born after the cycle for their last album was cut short by the global pandemic. Songs like “Dead Among The Living,” “Holiday” and “Last Man Standing” showcase the signature songwriting the band is known for. The album offers numerous epic adventures, with three songs clocking in over six minutes each. The opus “Fable Of The Silent Son” clocks in at 8:29 and is the longest recorded song in the band’s catalog – a distinction held by “Blackbird” until now. Mark Tremonti steps out of his backing vocal role to take the lead on “Stay,” an introspective ballad that is sure to become a fan favorite live. ALTER BRIDGE will tour extensively in support of Pawns & Kings. The band announced a tour of Europe that will make 25 stops over the course of six weeks, kicking off November 1 in Germany and making stops in Denmark, Sweden, Spain and others before ending on December 12 at O2 Arena in the United Kingdom. Longtime friends Halestorm and Mammoth WVH will lend their support on the upcoming European tour.
The band also just announced a North American tour for 2023 – their first in the market in almost three years. The 30-city tour – split into two legs – kicks off on January 25 in Tampa, FL and wraps up April 1 in Highland, CA, making stops in Nashville, TN (January 30); Toronto, ON (February 11); Kansas City, MO (March 11) and Seattle, WA (March 23). Mammoth WVH will join them as direct support on the entire tour, with rockers Red playing on the first leg of the tour and newcomers Pistols At Dawn playing on the second leg. ALTER BRIDGE have steadily climbed to the forefront of hard rock worldwide. After releasing an EP and full-length, COGNITIVE signed to Unique Leader Records in 2016 and released their album Deformity, which showed the bands dedication to their craft within a tale about their home state’s own legend about the Jersey Devil. Ramping up their tour schedule, the band continued to write and push themselves within the genre with technicality, speed, brutality, and songwriting, which came to shine through even more on the 2018 release Matricide, which displayed more focused effort while increasing speed and technicality even more. 2021 saw the release of their decimating Malevolent Thoughts Of A Hastened Extinction full-length where the band displayed more diversity and expansive songwriting more than ever, the album proving yet again that COGNITIVE is never afraid to explore new concepts and musical territory.
