Swedish/Norwegian melodic power metallers SAINT DEAMON are the newest addition to the AFM Records roster. The band has released three critically acclaimed studio albums so far, the latest of them being 2019’s “Ghost”.
Both the mentioned “Ghost” but also SAINT DEAMON’s first two releases “In Shadows Lost From The Brave” and “Pandeamonium” are from now on available digitally via AFM Records – with physical re-issues to follow later this year. Meanwhile the band is working on material for a brand new studio album which will see the light of day in 2023.
The band states: „So…, are YOU prepared to join us on the next leg of our journey…..? We are extremely proud and eager to finally team up with our long time friends at AFM Records – “The” label in our opinion, that really made all the difference for the past 3 decades. Brace yourselves, and get ready for yet another exciting entry in the Logbook of Saint Deamon.“
„Having Saint Deamon joining our roster now is a „full circle“ moment“, AFM Records A&R Timo Hoffmann explains. „We’ve actually been in friendly talks with the band in their very early days already and stayed in touch over the years. It’s great to start our collaboration with catalogue re-issues of their older albums before a new, crushing Saint Deamon album will be upon us next year!“
Today is the day that the ‘Secrets Of The American Gods’ are finally revealed, the call of the ‘Blood Of The Elves’ will be answered and a mysterious creature finally takes its first steps: BLIND GUARDIAN‘s latest epos The God Machine comes to life.
With nine stunning tracks under its wing, the twelfth BLIND GUARDIAN album has already received a lot of praise from media and fans prior to its release – including features, cover stories and top reviews in prominent magazines such as METAL HAMMER, ROCK HARD, etc.
To celebrate this new milestone in the band’s already impressive career, BLIND GUARDIAN present a video for their track ‘Architects Of Doom’. The latest chapter of The God Machine is a truly hypnotizing experience that can be watched here:
Singer Hansi Kürsch states: “Happy Release Day! Finally, finally, the day has come. Good things come to those who wait… I can not imagine ever longing that intensely for a release date. You are hopefully already holding that masterpiece in your hands, assuring yourself that we didn’t exaggerate with all our praise beforehand. No fillers, just killers! The God Machine is a wholesome BLIND GUARDIAN album that will sweeten your coming months, even years. It’s served, bon appétit! The God Machine features classic speed metal anthems, epic bangers and ‘Architects Of Doom’! This song is an epic wrecking ball at its finest. In my opinion, this is the best and most outstanding track of the whole record. Reinvention or a return to ancient virtues, that’s the question.”
The God Machine marks another pinnacle in BLIND GUARDIAN’s impressive discography by not attempting to pretend it is still the nineties yet instead successfully relying on the muscle memory of this period. It is a gripping, addictive and brilliantly arranged album in the tradition of records with which BLIND GUARDIAN reached for the stars in the 90’s; yet, by no means, is it a throwback. The God Machine represents the heart and soul of BLIND GUARDIAN’s timeless metal in the here and now, unifying the bards’ past, present and future secrets in one consistent, well thought out masterpiece.

Swedish melodic metal rockers CYHRA return with an explosive new single and video ‘Ready To Rumble’ on September 2nd via Nuclear Blast. The band which was founded by vocalist Jake E (ex-AMARANTHE) and guitarist Jesper Strömblad (ex-IN FLAMES) are thrilled to finally release new music after having their No Halos In Hell (2019, Nuclear Blast) album touring campaign cut short due to the global pandemic outbreak.
Vocalist Jake E comments: ”No Halos In Hell got such great reviews all over the world, and we had shows planned for a year ahead. Then COVID hit, and in a heartbeat it felt like the world was pulled from under our feet.” Jake continues, “I can’t express the gratitude over how I feel about the whole Cyhra team. The crew, tour agents, management, and the band, and how we all managed to stay true to our beliefs and to what we want to achieve! I would be lying if I said it was easy to start writing songs again, but we managed to do it as a TEAM! I think that we all agreed that the new songs and the new album needed to demonstrate that Cyhra is a force to be reckoned with moving forward. And I hope we’re able to break new ground on this new album, while at the same time pleasing our existing fan base.”
Drummer Alex Landenburg adds: “We have used the downtime during Covid to compose some of the strongest songs I have ever recorded and I’m so excited to get back out on the road and to play this new material for our fantastic fans! Let’s get ready to rumble!”
Guitarist Euge Valovirta echoes the sentiment: ”It was about time. So glad to be back doing what I’ve been doing since I was a kid. First it was hockey and for the last 25 years it’s been music. You know release an album, go on tour, repeat that. Am I ready to rumble? You bet and I hope our fans, old & new are too. Let’s f-king rumble and have a great time!”
Lastly, new guitarist Marcus Sunesson adds: “We’re finally here! We pulled though the worst blow to the music scene ever. Even though it was rough at times we came out on the other side, stronger than ever. United and determined to do and show you what we love the most; make incredible songs and come play for you all! I feel humbled and so honored to be a part of this amazing band and simply can not wait to show you what we’ve put our hearts and souls into with the new Cyhra album. Let’s turn it up a notch, shall we! Are you ready to rumble? We are!”
The band are currently hard at work on their self-produced as-of-yet-untitled third album (and second for Nuclear Blast), with Valovirta overseeing final mixes, and legendary producer Jacob Hansen mastering the album. And while founding guitarist Jesper Strömblad may be noticeably absent from the new album’s first single, the band are fully supportive of Jesper’s current involvement with highly acclaimed new band The Halo Effect– and look forward to his return to the fold when he is ready.

FALL7TIMES are a Swiss-Italian alternative rock / metal band formed in autumn 2018 from the idea of drummer Mattia Santi who wanted to create a definitive lineup to record the debut album, RESET, released on September 1st, 2019. FALL7TIMES were ready to present the album beyond the Swiss border, but the arrival of 2020 and the global pandemic stopped any possibility to performing live for two consecutive years, so the band immediately began to write new music without allowing the decline of enthusiasm to fade / stop the project. The new album “Departures” which after almost 2 years of hard work, was released on May 15th 2022, produced, mixed and mastered by Federico Ascari of Modena.
