Due to worldwide production and distribution issues, also Italy’s extreme sludge and stoner metal act PACHIDERMA has faced a long delay of their latest album “Il Diavolo, La Peste, La Morte”, to be released on Vinyl. Finally, the band and its label Argonauta Records announced the postponed date, which is now slated for August 19, 2022!
“Il Diavolo, La Peste, La Morte”, a one-track concept album which is divided in three acts, was recorded during the summer of 2019 in a “one shot-weekend” session by Andrea Lenoci at Molotov Recordings. PACHIDERMA‘s first album is heavily inspired by the philosophy previously issued in Bergman’s filmography. Both from a musical and philosophical perspective, the bands adds a unique touch to their sound while combining various movie samples and vibrant effects, inspired by dark myths and reality of humanity, yet driven by the soul of heavy stoner rock and sludge metal. Their enthralling fusion of monolithic and brutal- heavy sounds with a haunting visual concept, makes PACHIDERMA‘s first output most likely one the most exciting yet brutal and disturbing record releases finally seeing the day of Vinyl release!
But give ear, as today the band has shared a brand new teaser, watch the clip featuring some killer live footage right here:
As the band revealed earlier: “Il Diavolo, La Peste, La Morte is about the questions that possess minds, but can’t be answered. The consequences are void.”
PACHIDERMA‘s debut will be available as a limited Vinyl edition on August 19th via Argonauta Records. You can pre.order your copy at THIS LOCATION!
As a species, we began by worshipping Nature, in order to ravage it in the next breath, endangering the delicate balance of this beautiful Earth, as well as our existence on it. We then imagined new gods and have slowly started to deny them, as omnipotence, omnipresence and omniscience become closer to our collective grasp. On the way, we created autocrats to overthrow them, and increased the odds of world peace via the looming threat of nuclear winter.
We are the sons of he who brought us the light of fire – heirs of the great titan aspiring to godhood. To be human is to know, to love, to hate, to grow, to create, and to destroy.
Thus, this great turmoil of the technological and cultural evolution of civilizations created the greatest story ever told – the story of Man.
‘As We Set The Skies Ablaze’ is a phylosophical analysis concerning this great adventure of being human, with all its greatest wonders and horrors, as well as the strongest challenges we must face in this path to become the only Gods that have ever really existed.
This breathtaking artwork was made by the amazingly talented designers at Credo quia Absurdum.
The album was mixed and mastered by our household fader overlord, Afonso Aguiar from Titanforged Productions.
Drums were entirely composed and recorded by Diogo Mota. Artemis and A Treatise Of Human Nature feature lead vocals by Sandra Oliveira (Blame Zeus, Perennial Dawn), who also contributed with back vocals in Valley Of Dying Stars and Everlasting Horizons. The Antagonist features vocals by Sofia Beco (Phase Transition). Thank you all for lending us your incomparable talent!
Australian extreme metal group PSYCROPTIC have today shared a music video for their new single, A Fool’s Errand, directed by NJV Media. A Fool’s Errand is the third track to be taken from PSYCROPTIC‘s upcoming eighth studio album, Divine Council, due for release on August 5 via Prosthetic Records.
Speaking on the release of A Fool’s Errand, Dave Haley (drums): “A Fool’s Errand is a track I’m really looking forward to playing live. Lots of dynamic twists and turns, plus a uniquely catchy hook… It gets stuck in your head. It took a while, but it has become one of my personal favourite tracks on Divine Council.“
Brothers Dave Haley (drums) and Joe Haley (guitar) have steered PSYCROPTIC through different shades of death metal, from the technical to the experimental, with longtime vocalist and lyricist Jason Peppiatt and bassist Todd Stern further embellishing the sound of the band to create something that is distinctively PSYCROPTIC.
Origin vocalist Jason Keyser has long been considered a part of PSYCROPTIC’s extended family, and on Divine Council he contributes vocals to the album tracks. As Peppiatt wrote the lyrics and vocal patterns, the group were able to utilise an extended palette of styles to further enhance his sound, courtesy of Keyser and additional vocals from Amy Wiles, hitting upon a collective approach to complement the Haleys.
With writing and recording punctuated by a pandemic and subsequent strict lockdowns, Divine Council was recorded in various locations across Australia and North America. Drums were tracked at Anubis Studios by Chris Thelemco, bass was captured by Justin Spaeth at Cave Bound Studio, and guitars, vocals and synths were recorded by the band’s own Joe Haley at his Crawlspace Studios before he mixed and mastered the albums nine tracks.
The suffocating atmosphere carries through to the lyrics that detail the myriad ways that human beings waste, destroy or devalue what’s in front of them – captured in the evocative album artwork, courtesy of the prolific Eliran Kantor. With narrative threads that throw back to tracks on both their self-titled album and As The Kingdom Drowns, PSYCROPTIC have found yet more new ways to explore human’s inherent inability to see the bigger picture – or change track before a miserable demise becomes a crushing inevitability.
Divine Council is an album that oozes confidence, maturity and a relaxed self assurance befitting of a band with a rich legacy behind them and an unconstrained future ahead of them.

David Reece (Former vocalist of Accept, Bonfire, Bangalore Choir and currently Iron Allies) has managed a unique feat of THREE new albums bearing his trademark vocals all released within the one week – between July the 15th until July the 22nd!
In some people’s opinion challenging even the highly prolific nature of singer Ronnie Romero, July 22nd’s release of Highway Sentinels ‘The Waiting Fire” completes a week of 3 accumulated new records, the other two being the excellent John Steel – Distorted Reality and Taz Taylor Band – Nocturnal.
Therefore David Reece, Global Rock Records and Louder Than Loud Records would collectively like to declare this Friday the 22nd as…. “Day Of Dave”!
Says the man himself:
Greetings one and all,
I’d like to take a moment and say it looks like things are finally coming back to normal with rock n roll as we’ve all been locked away for far far too long.
Having said that I can say that I was blessed to have been asked to participate in these three projects during the lockdown, otherwise I am not sure how else myself and my family would have endured it all. I only agree to what I believe are quality works and these three records are exactly that.
Please indulge me as i tell you a little about all three:
Highway Sentinels – The Waiting Fire
Jimmy Waldo, Steve Rosen and Giles Lavery asking me to be part of Highway Sentinels was an honor, especially with the amount of legendary guitar players on the album: Joe Satriani, Bumblefoot, Paul Gilbert, Tracii Guns, Herman Frank, Mike Flyntz and more! This is melodic hard rock in the traditional 1980s style, we even dug into a tune or two from my past on this one.
John Steel – Distorted Reality
I’d also like to say I’m someone who admires those who believe in themselves and fight against all odds which my dear Bulgarian friends in John Steel do everyday… and this album is a full-on display of great songs and talent. Traditional European Heavy Metal to the core with tons of melody and power!, i am featured on their new album in full, and this one has been a long time coming, please do check this out!
Taz Taylor Band – Nocturnal
Another blessing was being contacted by the Taz Taylor Band to contribute three songs on Taz’s new release. He’s a great musician and I’m very proud of what we’ve achieved….with some of the other singers on here; Doogie White, Graham Bonnet and more… i sure am in good company! A great record in the classic early 80’s style of MSG and Gary Moore!
Looking a little further ahead into the future i would also like to mention that i hope you all enjoy the Iron Allies record that i have just completed with the one and only Herman Frank, which is due for release later this year, more details on that soon, as well as another very special announcement in the coming weeks.
Again, I wish all of you the very best and thank each and every one of you for your support, as without you there’s no me.
Rochester, New York-based trio King Buffalo will issue their fifth full-length, Regenerator, on Sept. 2, 2022, as a self-release in North America and through Stickman Records in Europe. Preorders are now available via http://kingbuffalo.bigcartel.com.
Written and recorded by the band with mixing and engineering by guitarist/vocalist Sean McVay and mastering by Bernie Matthews, the seven-song outing is the third in King Buffalo’s stated ‘pandemic trilogy,’ following Two of 2021’s Best Albums in The Burden of Restlessness and Acheron.
Both of those albums – like 2018’s Longing to Be the Mountain, 2016’s debut, Orion, and the various EPs and other offerings they’ve made over the last eight years – made bold declarations about who King Buffalo are as a band, and Regenerator is no different. As McVay, bassist/synthesist Dan Reynolds and drummer Scott Donaldson continue to explore the outer reaches of modern psychedelic songcraft, melding progressive rhythms, drifting atmospheres and accompanying surges of electricity, the new collection only further establishes them as one of the brightest lights shining in underground rock today.
Following the previously-released, first single and album title track, today, the heavy psych and prog-rock maestros have shared a video for new single “Hours”! Just exclusively premiered with Visions Magazine and The Obelisk, you can now watch the new clip for “Hours” here:
As the third of three, Regenerator seems inherently to tie together the two LPs most immediately before it, and as King Buffalo unfold the leadoff title-track across nine and half minutes, it becomes clear just how truly they have marked out their own sonic presence. The later melodic highlight “Mammoth” – with McVay’s most confident vocal yet – shimmers with hope that somehow doesn’t come across as desperate, and as “Hours” engages classic space rock and the closing “Firmament” summarizes the first, second and third series installments, the final chapter of this trilogy becomes the essential cornerstone of King Buffalo’s work to-date.
Regenerator was written by King Buffalo in Rochester, NY at the Main Street Armory in 2021. Produced, engineered and mixed by Sean McVay, and mastered by Bernie Matthews. The artwork was created by Mike Del Rosario, with the album layout by Scott Donaldson.
Regenerator Tracklist:
Regenerator
Mercury
Hours

The band returned to live activity late last year, touring alongside Clutch and more recently a full North American spring tour with Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats. By the time Regenerator arrives, they will have completed a UK and European headlining tour with festival appearances in Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, Portugal, Belgium and Denmark.

ANY GIVEN SIN and Mascot Records / Mascot Label Group present ‘Still Sinking’ in front of the band’s debut studio album.
The band shares, “’Still Sinking’ was inspired by the ever-increasing addiction issue plaguing not only the country, but The World. It is a song that each listener should be able to interpret and internalize to their own personal struggles. In hopes that it may be therapeutic to the listener. Even if it is only for three and a half minutes. “
In 2021, Mascot Records / Mascot Label Group signed Any Given Sin, engaging immediately to support the band’s single at the time “The Way I Say Goodbye.” The accompanying video for that song can be screened here.

Multiple elements converge to strengthen every bond. For distinct personalities sharpen Any Given Sin’s edge. The Maryland / Virginia based quartet – Victor Richie (vocals), Mike Conner (guitar), Rich Stevenson (bass) and Mike Showalter (drums) infuse metal, hard rock, and alternative in to a dark, dynamic and deep signature style of their own. Amassing nearly 12 million streams and 2 million YouTube views independently alongside multiple number one singles on SiriusXM Octane attracted the attention of the label.
Any Given Sin first emerged in 2015 with their debut EP Forbidden. Initial streaming success followed with “Dynamite” accumulating over 5 million total plays, while “Another Life” surpassed 4.6 million via Spotify alone. Each of these releases reached #1 on SiriusXM and dominated the fan driven “Big Uns Countdown.” Widespread radio support followed, setting the table for the band’s broad fan base to emerge. Along the way, they collaborated with John Moyer of Disturbed and Trevor Kustiak (Evans Blue Producer) prior to finding the perfect match with Chris Dawson (Saul, Seasons After). Guitarist Mike Conner reflects, “Dawson definitely helped round out the AGS sound. He’s not only a great producer, but he’s also a great writer and engineer. He has the ability to saturate what we are doing and incorporate ideas from a slightly different perspective while preserving AGS’ identity.” That crystallizes on the 2021 single “The Way I Say Goodbye” which is approaching a million streams on Spotify.
