‘Event Horizon’ is the new single from alternative metal band, MOUNTAIN EYE and is available now on all digital platforms via Crusader Records. ‘Event Horizon’ is also accompanied by a stunning video clip that delves deep into the meaning of the song.
Musically, it doesn’t get any catchier than this. The band explores new territory and demonstrates they are capable of so much more than brutal metal. ‘Event Horizon’ associates the emotional trauma as to that of a black hole. Once a shining star, traumatic experiences can transform the human emotion into a black hole damaging everything and everyone around them. Even in such isolation, the band seeks to show that they are not alone and that there is help, hope and understanding if that person is willing to receive it. Communication can go a long way and have a positive life changing impact.
‘Event Horizon’ is the follow up to the recently released singles ‘IME’ and ‘My Last Winter Trail.’ Mountain Eye are developing a strong global following with their hybrid metal approach.
Formed in the summer of 2017, Dutch band Mountain Eye has taken the alternative metal sound that bands like Korn, Linkin Park and Slipknot presented to the world in the beginning of the century and transformed it to a sound that fits our decade.
On their debut album Roads Uncharted, released in January 2019, Mountain Eye explores the extremes of life; the thin line between happiness and sadness that we all experience, and that’s what makes us all human. Roads Uncharted was received positively by the metal press, with positive reviews, as well as online listeners streaming the album over 900k times so far. ‘Synopsis’ was featured on the Spotify official playlist New Blood.
Mountain Eye signed to Golden Robot Records / Crusader Records in 2021 and released their first single for the label ‘My Last Winter Trail’ in November 2021, following up with ‘IME’ in February 2022.
Today, breakthrough Mongolian rock act The HU announced details of their long-awaited sophomore album Rumble of Thunder, recorded via Better Noise Music, and released a new single called “Black Thunder” along with an official music video. The band’s 12-track second studio album is set for release September 2 and includes “This Is Mongol,” their eco-conscious single released in May, that now boasts over a million streams in less than two months. “Black Thunder” incorporates Mongolian values, telling a powerful story of battle, faith, and death lyrically and visually. The band has been teasing new music from their sophomore album on their headlining Black Thunder Tour, at Coachella, and soon at Japan’s Fuji Rock Festival, in Australia and New Zealand, on tour with Five Finger Death Punch and Megadeth, and later in Europe and the UK – a full list of dates below. This new music was recorded in their homeland of Mongolia, after their debut album The Gereg landed at #1 on the World Album and Top New Artist charts in its first week of release. Pre-order Rumble of Thunder HERE. See below for a full tracklist. To stream and watch the striking video for “Black Thunder,” click HERE. Fans can purchase tickets to watch The HU on tour HERE.
Vocalist Gala shared, ““Black Thunder” is the crown jewel of our second album. The music video is split into two parts and conveys the core values of men through visuals. Our producer Dashka chose a unique location in Mongolia to shoot the video, where we had a great time riding the horses in the vast grassland of our countryside. We hope that our pride in our culture shines through, as we aimed to bring viewers joy and a piece of our culture through this video.” Speaking on their next studio album, he continued, “Our second album will include “Black Thunder,” along with many new songs. We can’t wait for you to listen and enjoy it as much as we enjoyed recording it.”
The HU’s last official video was set in the Mojave Desert and highlighted their unique core values of natural preservation and spiritual connection with the earth. The video for “Black Thunder” also features an epic backdrop, this time in Mongolia. Directed by Erdenebileg Ganbold and producer Dashka, the video is action packed, taking the viewers through battle and a funeral procession ritual. Watch the official music video HERE.
Earlier this year, The HU impressed various media with powerful, energizing performances on their Black Thunder Tour and at Coachella, with SF Gate’s Ariana Bindman writing, “The last time I fell in love, it wasn’t with a person. It was with a seven-piece Mongolian heavy metal band belting out guttural war cries while playing Motorhead-style riffs with traditional horsehead fiddles, electric guitars and flutes. Behind me, people of all backgrounds bob their heads, raise their fists and scream in harmony. I’m watching The HU at Coachella, the first music festival I’ve attended since the world forever changed. And they’re f—king epic.”
This summer, The HU will hit stages across North America, as they head out on tour with Megadeth, Five Finger Death Punch, and Fire From The Gods. The tour starts in Portland, Oregon on August 19, spanning over 30 dates, and closes out on October 15 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Concertgoers are promised an intense multi-faceted night of heavy rock music. Tickets are on sale now HERE.

Recently reformed Swedish death metal pioneers DISMEMBER are proud to announce that they have once again joined the ranks of NUCLEAR BLAST RECORDS, where they released their demo, Reborn In Blasphemy (1990),their 1991 debut album, Like An Everflowing Stream, as well as the four records that would follow. In celebration of this announcement, a fully remastered version of Like An Everflowing Stream has been made available on streaming services world-wide today, after it had been absent for quite some time.
Like An Everflowing Stream –hailed by many as one of the best death metal albums of all time – is the first entry in a re-issue campaign of the entire DISMEMBER back catalog, which is currently being remastered from the original albums. Stay tuned for more info on proper LP & CD re-issues that are in the works for late 2022!
Fred Estby (drums) comments: “After reuniting the original line-up and performing sold out shows in 2019, the axe chopping business needed a solid partner to get the festering complete back catalogue back on the streets. The unholy alliance of 1990 is reconfirmed, Dismember and Nuclear Blast Records are once again a perfect kill team!”
Jens Prüter, Head of A&R Nuclear Blast Europe, adds: “It’s a pleasure to bring back one of the Nuclear Blast bands of the early days. The 1991 debut album “Like An Ever Flowing Stream” quickly became a Death Metal classic and they haven’t released a weak album until they officially split up 20 years later in 2011. I still remember one of their last shows, in 2008 at the Party-San Open Air, where they played with their buddies Grave and Unleashed – only Entombed was missing to complete the Big Four of Stockholm Death Metal. And it was a pleasure to see them again on their first reunion show in 2019 at the Scandinavian Death Fest in their hometown. Only a few seconds in it was clear that they were back in full force. Welcome back!“

About DISMEMBER:
Between 1988 and 2011 DISMEMBER earned a notorious reputation as the “Motörhead (version) of death metal”, through eight classic albums and furious live shows around the globe. The band was formed by Robert Sennebäck, David Blomqvist and Fred Estby in Stockholm, Sweden, in 1988 and has long since been regarded as one of the originators of the trademark Swedish death metal sound, next to other pioneering bands such as ENTOMBED, GRAVE and UNLEASHED. DISMEMBER recorded a couple of self-released demos before their 1990 demo cassette, Reborn In Blasphemy, with Matti Kärki on vocals and ENTOMBED’s Nicke Andersson taking over most lead guitar parts, got picked up for a wider release by NUCLEAR BLAST RECORDS. In 1991, their first full-length, Like An Everflowing Stream (Nuclear Blast Records), saw the light of day, which was recorded by Thomas Skogsberg at the now legendary Sunlight Studios, and featured Richard Cabeza (UNANIMATED) on bass. DISMEMBER released their acclaimed sophomore album, Indecent & Obscene, in 1993, which to this day remains their most successful output. Three more albums would follow on NUCLEAR BLAST, Massive Kiling Capacity (1995), Death Metal (1997) and Hate Campaign (2000), until the band decided to switch labels. They released two more albums, Where Ironcrosses Grow (2004, Karmageddon Records) andThe God That Never Was (2005, Regain) before Fred Estby announced his departure for family reasons in 2007. Their last album, Dismember, followed in 2008 and the band officially broke up in 2011.After an eight-year hiatus, the band’s original line-up reunited for a 30th anniversary gig at Scandinavia Death Fest in October 2019, performing together for the first time in over 20 years.
DISMEMBER are: Fred Estby (Drums) David Blomqvist (Guitars) Robert Sennebäck (Guitars) Matti Karki (Vocals) Richard Cabeza (Bass)

Reactivated Brooklyn alternative metal powerhouse PIST.ON are pleased to present “Ruin Your Day,” the new emphasis track/video from their forthcoming release ‘Cold World+’ can be viewed below.
“’Ruin Your Day’is the small satisfaction you may achieve to make someone’s day miserable,” explains frontman/guitarist Henry Font. “Be it with words or actions…the satisfaction you may receive by making someone miserable. I’m sure we’ve all had this feeling.“
Set for release through M-Theory Audio www.m-theoryaudio.com on July 29th, ‘Cold World+’ will be a specially expanded album length CD edition of the band’s recent digital ‘Cold World EP’ – their first new music in over 20 years. Additional bonus tracks will include the self-released 2001 EP ‘Saves,’ four previously unreleased demo tracks from 1999 and 2021, and “Exhume Her,” the band’s contribution to Metal Blade’s 1995 compilation, ‘Metal Massacre XII.’ The jewel case CD features a full-color booklet containing lyrics and liner notes. “It’s been a long road to get some new music out and everybody is excited with the CD release,” claims guitarist Jeff McManus. “Great that it’s going to get heard by more people out there.“
The mix of old and new material on ‘Cold World+’ is a re-introduction to the band following their lengthy hiatus. The re-energized sound of the recent ‘Cold World’ EP sits comfortably alongside the intensity of the 2001 ‘Saves’ EP, while 1995’s ‘Exhume Her’ and the demo tracks add a suitable element of rawness. Together, all combine to show how the PIST.ON sound has evolved but still retains its uniqueness.
The ‘Cold World’ EP re-ignited interest in the band, leading Sentinel Daily Australia to remark, that it’s “an unapologetic strike straight at the heart of what made the band worth taking note of in the first place”.
The EP was recorded at Flatline Audio, Denver, CO and produced, mixed and mastered by Dave Otero (Allegaeon, Cattle Decapitation, Khemmis). Frontman and guitarist Henry Font previously stated that, “We’re extremely happy with the work Dave Otero has done. He’s modernised our sound and brought a fresh dimension to the band. This feels like where we would have ended up had we continued writing and recording over the years. We’ve moved on from being gloomy miserable to being happy miserable“.
PIST.ON is built around the core line up who recorded 1999’s ‘$ell Out’ album, with Henry Font (vocals/guitar), Burton Gans (guitar) and Jeff McManus (drums) together with new bass guitarist Jack Hanley.
‘Cold World+’ is available for pre-order now, on CD at www.smarturl.com/piston and digitally on all major channels.

PIST.ON have released two albums – ‘Number One’ through Fierce Recordings/Atlantic Records in 1996 and ‘$ell Out’ through Mayhem/Music for Nations in 1999. In addition the band released the independent ‘Saves’ EP in 2001. The band was birthed out of the same early 1990’s Brooklyn heavy metal scene that gave rise to seminal acts of the time such as Type O Negative and Life of Agony. The group’s blend of down-tuned groove-metal riffs, alternative-metal songwriting, and gothic aura saw them gain a fanatical following within the scene, attracting the attention of Type O Negative keyboardist/producer Josh Silver. Two demos – the latter of which was produced by Silver – and incredible live performances soon followed, culminating in the release of PIST.ON’s 1996 debut record, ‘Number One.’ Subsequent touring alongside Type O Negative and Marilyn Manson saw PIST.ON further build their reputation as an exciting act on the rise, attracting the attention of Atlantic Records who re-released ‘Number One’ a short time later. Further touring alongside bands as diverse as Korn, Clutch, Fu Manchu, and Queensryche saw the band continue to gain new fans. PIST.ON released their 1999 follow-up, ‘$ell Out’, on Mayhem Records. More live shows and the band’s self-released 2001 ‘Saves’ EP followed. PIST.ON decided to take time out from the business in 2001. Though never officially splitting up, the intended short break turned in to an unplanned hiatus lasting more than fifteen years. In 2017 the group eased their way back as a band and started working on new music. The band made their live return in 2018 with appearances at high-profile European festivals Sweden Rock and Graspop Metal Meeting followed by shows in the USA. In 2019 the band completed a short UK tour. The advent of the Covid pandemic in 2020 put a restriction on all activities, which has led the band to adopt a cautious approach to future plans.
