South African post metal band CONSTELLATIA are now releasing the brand new official music video for the song, “The Garden,” which is taken from the band’s latest EP, ‘The Language of Limbs.” The video, which was filmed in Cape Town and Johannesburg and was edited by Larissa Johnson, can be seen at THIS LOCATION.
CONSTELLATIA comments: “‘The Garden’ is a dirge about revisitation, and how when coming back things could possibly and most likely change. It’s an end and it’s a beginning. It also talks about the power struggle and helplessness that sometimes comes with being in a relationship and how that fleeting romantic landscape shifts and distorts. Musically, The Garden was the most progressive track on our debut record, and revisiting it now it’s easy to see where we left off, and the subsequent evolution to our new sound, which feels like an expansion on this song, whilst treading new ground.”
But there’s more great news! CONSTELLATIA finalized their newest full-length album which will be released via Season of Mist. Stay tuned in for the official title and release date – all will be revealed soon!
‘The Language of Limbs’ was originally released on November 15, 2019 and soon after, the four piece landed a worldwide record deal with Season of Mist. The pressings are available in various formats HERE.
England’s doom metal masters CONAN strike back again! Following their much acclaimed 2018 full-length, Existential Void Guardian, and their Live at Freak Valley record released just last year, the trio has announced the release of their fifth studio album, entitled Evidence of Immortality, due out on August 19, 2022 via Napalm Records.
As first album single proves, on their upcoming magnum opus, the British kings of brutally heavy slowness push their down-tuned axes and cranked pedals to the limit, crushing ears and minds when huge, rumbling chords and malevolent riffs muscle their way in over lances of infinite distortion and drums that pummel and thunder like the hands of a god against the gates of hell.
First single “Levitation Hoax” showcases CONAN’s trademark sound combined with fast-paced riffage and a pounding groove in epic doom metal grandeur, before dragging you deep into a black hole, as you scream in silence.
“‘Levitation Hoax’ grew from a riff that was created in December 2019, when we were on tour with Cavalera Conspiracy”,guitarist and singer Jon Davis comments. “The song begins as a thrash metal onslaught and just gets heavier and heavier as it progresses. It was a fun track to write, and has some of my favourite lyrics from the album.”
“Evidence of Immortalitywas written between December 2019 and late 2021. As such, it has absorbed a lot of the emotions that were flowing through our lives then,”Davis continues. “The lyrics were written on the eve of the war in Ukraine so, naturally, they deal with subjects such as victory and defeat, loss and hope, pain and determination, fear and hatred. Movies such as Conquest, Lord of The Rings, Fire and Ice, Krull, Beast Master and Clash of The Titans once again provided inspiration for the themes of the songs, as we maintain our determination to not write about real world events. You want to escape? Throw this record on, turn the lights off and turn it up until your fucking ears bleed.”
Evidence of Immortality was produced by Chris Fielding and mastered by James Plotkin. The album also sees former band member Dave Perry perform on the track “Grief Sequence”. The album’s artwork was provided by the skilled hand and mind of Tony Roberts, architect of the CONAN visual style since day one and their debut release, Horseback Battle Hammer. Bow down and hail CONAN, as their sound will live forever on the battlefield of doom. Their new album will be the ultimate Evidence of Immortality!
Slated for a release on August 19, 2022 through Napalm Records, Evidence of Immortality will be available in various formats.

Antifolk turned industrial band AMERICAN ANYMEN just dropped their new full-length album Cities Changing Names and revealed a new music video for the song “My Vacation“, once again directed by Brett Sullivan. Watch the video below.
“My Vacation” is the third music video from the band’s new full-length album Cities Changing Names, which was just released worldwide on June 10, 2022 via Eclipse Records. “This song is about the problems of the world becoming more and more of an obstruction to the average person’s life,” says lead vocalist & guitarist Brett Sullivan. “It used to be about climate change and that the environment would collapse in 30 years, but now things are happening in the present, right before our eyes. I wrote this song because even in the face of a pandemic, war, and environmental extinction, Americans seem more determined than ever to escape reality by burying themselves in vacations, movies, and the never-ending distractions provided by social media. We are trapped in an impending hell, but we still want to plan for our next vacation.”
Cities Changing Names is an album of sonic violence and unbridled energy. Each cut is a burst of power that features a sort of pristine mechanization wearing a cloak of raw, human tragedy. This sweet dichotomy is both elegant and hard core, addictive and welcoming. The musical presentation itself is based on this technique of pairings reversed in no clearer a manner than the production of the drums versus the vocals. The “norm” would have the hummingbird 16ths deep and resounding, the snare rich and reverberant. In turn, the vocal would be “up close,” like the “presence” we all enjoy face to face, in that intimate moment right before a kiss. Here, American Anymen turn that on its head, presenting the drum sounds in your face and at the very doorstep of your heart, close enough to touch, while making the vocal echoed, distant, haunting, and mysterious. Each track raises the level of the game in terms of brute force and fireworks, and the listener comes away feeling potent and strong. Altogether, this record reanimates your spine. It gets behind your eyes and makes your mind an echo chamber of colors and explosions. And whether you prefer the political side of the arena, or the trippy one that might hear these tunes and picture a mechanized army on hyper speed coming from the dark underworld of some distant planet, American Anymen is the vehicle of choice. It’s at the starting line. It’s kicking up smoke and the engine is roaring. Get the full Cities Changing Names album at https://ffm.to/citiescn right now!

Before dropping their fourth album, Swedish power metal outfit CIVIL WAR – featuring former members of Sabaton – invite listeners to join them on the battlefield with “Oblivion”. The track features far Eastern sounds of another world, combined with strong vocals and guitar riffs. Packed with powerful, engaging guitars and drums, it will have the listener impatiently waiting for the release of the band’s new album, Invaders, out June 17, 2022 via Napalm Records.
Detailing harrowing stories of sorrow and tales of turbulent triumph from around the globe, as well as human nature itself, the album marks the band’s first with masterful frontman Kelly Sundown Carpenter and formidable shredder Thobbe Englund (ex-Sabaton).
Kelly Sundown Carpenter (vocals) on “Oblivion”: “Oblivion is about the Gaia-like force of nature waking from its long sleep. As it looks out upon the world, it sees what man has done to the Earth and it decides to eradicate mankind by unleashing cataclysmic events.”
The album starts off with the captivating “Oblivion”, inviting the listener into an apocalyptic world with its exotic, menacing sound, strong vocals and heavy guitar riffs. Packed with epic symphonic power, Invaders continues with the war anthem “Dead Man’s Glory”, telling a story of Irish resistance – fighting to preserve their way of life against a Viking invasion. The album rages on with the retelling of legendary Native American victory at the Battle of the Wabash on the fast-paced “Invaders” and then settles into the pulsating, atmospheric “Heart of Darkness” before arriving at “Andersonville” – recounting the horrors of Confederate prisoner-of-war camp Andersonville Prison through the letters of a Union soldier to his wife. This song soars as a massive power ballad with heart-rending symphonics, choirs and emotive vocals. “Battle of Life” delivers the grand finale of Invaders as a pummeling, fiery power metal pinnacle, summoning listeners of all walks of life to persevere and call on inner strength in times of trouble. In keeping with the album’s theme, the Western-inspired heavy metal battle cry “Custer’s Last Stand” sees its 10th anniversary re-recording and re-release as a bonus track, entrancing the listener with Carpenter’s passionate vocal delivery, searing guitar harmonics, keyboard fanfares and tribal drums. With Invaders, CIVIL WAR prove they’ve once again etched a position all their own in the annals of modern power and heavy metal while proving their deft storytelling skill and knack for engaging lyricism. Invaders is a must-listen!
Daniel Mÿhr (keyboards) onInvaders: “It took its time, but we’re happy and proud to present our new album Invaders to the world. CIVIL WAR is back in a nice, new uniform, and with Kelly Sundown Carpenter and Thobbe Englund joining the ranks we have finally put together our fourth full-length album. By taking one step in every direction we have taken our sound to even darker places, but also to more positive ones. But one thing remains the same – our roots in Heavy Metal!

‘Back to La Brea’ is the latest effort from Spanish rock outfit THIS DRAMA. The band have dropped the distortion pedals and locked themselves up in a desert cabin to produce their most visceral work to date.
To celebrate the release of the single, This Drama have also released a music video for the track. ‘Back to La Brea’ is available on digital platforms now, via Golden Robot Records.
Mixed by the extremely talented Alex Newport, ‘Back to La Brea’ is dark but surprisingly catchy and accessible to those that might not be familiar with their previous work. Lyrically, the band keeps to their true honest feelings, fighting demons and offering an introspective experience for the listener, a connection that’s hard for other artists to create, but ‘Back to La Brea’ has done it so effortlessly
This Drama has had quite an unexpected yet stellar trajectory since their 2005 inception in southern Europe.
In 2008, having clenched the top spot at the prestigious Rock Awards in Madrid (Spain), the band went on to record their explosive debut album San Diego 13, which lead to a series of tours in the US topped up by a showcase slot at the infamous SXSW festival.
In 2010 the five-piece returned to their spiritual home of Los Angeles to produce their sophomore album Tarantula Mata under the supervision of Joby Ford(The Bronx) who helped the band defining their sound, inspiring a new direction.
With a new album in tow, 2011 saw This Drama take on their most audacious North American tour yet, playing some of the biggest stages during the European festival season such as Azkena Rock Festival and Resurrection Fest, sharing the bill with artists such as Ozzy Osbourne, Queens Of The Stone Age and Rob Zombie.
It’s back to the studio yet again in 2013, this time with producer/guitarist Jag Jago of The Ghost Of A Thousandin Brighton (UK) for the recording of The Wasted Youth EP, which consolidates the sound of the band whilst exploring new creative avenues.
For the band’s 10-year anniversary in 2015 the live album ViveSiempre is released followed by an extensive national tour supporting Canadian boss men Cancer Bats, which would lead to wholesome creative endeavours further down the line.
In 2016 the band is invited to showcase their live album at the Canadian Music Week Festival (Toronto). The band return to their native Spain along with Cancer Bats’ guitarist/producer Scott Middleton to record their Summer Failures album, released in late 2017 by Venn Records (UK).
The band tours this album alongside Canadian favouritesPUP.
Come 2022, a song reaches the offices of Golden Robot Global Entertainment in Los Angeles. The story continues.
