Canadian-American rock outfit REDLIGHT KING are excited to share news of their signing to German rock/metal label AFM RECORDS who will release the band’s fourth full-length album In Our Blood later this fall. The album was written and produced by frontman Mark “Kaz” Kasprzyk at Wax Studios in Los Angeles, CA with long-time collaborator and guitarist Julian Tomarin, who also co-wrote a few tracks, and drummer Randy Cooke. REDLIGHT KING released its debut single, the uplifting anthemic title track “In Our Blood,” last Friday, May 6 across all digital platforms following the premiere of its energetic music video via Loudwire on May 5. Watch “In Our Blood” streaming below or here: https://bfan.link/in-our-blood.
Senior A&R Director of AFMNils Wasko commented on the signing, “I am thrilled that REDLIGHT KING has chosen AFM. My team and I couldn’t be more excited to work with Kaz, Julian, Brian and Mark to delight people with their authentic music and leave a footprint on the world.”
“’In Our Blood’ is not about religion or politics or money,” explains Kaz about the new single. “It’s about heart. It’s about family. It’s about never giving up. The song was first imagined by our guitarist Julian, who laid down the riff and a killer melody in the hook. It continued to build with a vengeance, so we kicked it into high gear with a four on the floor beat and a traditional rock n’ roll approach to scoring the lyrics.”
Kaz continues, “For me, ‘In Our Blood’ captures the human spirit and gives a sense of hope that we can break through the generational cycles of classism set in place to divide us. When I sing the song I think of my family, I think about my grandfather fighting in WW2, the things they went through, the sacrifices they made and that my parents made as well. I think of my bandmates and the audience we play for. We are all trying to make the best of this journey. We all bleed the same color and we’re all in this together.”
REDLIGHT KING will make their way across the rock festival circuit with appearances at Welcome To Rockville (5/19-22) in Daytona Beach, FL, Blue Ridge Rock Festival (9/8-11) in Dansville, VA and Louder Than Life (9/23-26) in Louisville, KY along with additional dates to be announced in the coming weeks. The band have developed a worldwide fanbase since their formation in 2009, performing over 1,000 shows with some of the biggest names in rock and being seen on festival stages in North America, UK and Europe as well as late-night TV appearances on Late Night with Conan O’Brien and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
ABOUT REDLIGHT KING:
Formed in Hamilton, ON by Kaz, REDLIGHT KING made waves in 2011 with the release of their debut album Something For The Pain on Hollywood Records which included the #3 Billboard Mainstream Rock single “Bullet In My Hand” and a reimagined version of Neil Young’s “Old Man” of which Young approved the band to use a sample from his original song. Their second album, Irons In The Fire, followed in 2013 and featured the single “Born To Rise” which is heard in the end title credits for the Lionsgate sports drama blockbuster Draft Day. Additional music from the band has been featured in movies and tv shows such as The Avengers, Iron Man 3, The Italian Job, FOX’s ‘Malcolm In The Middle’ and CBS’ ‘Person of Interest’ in addition to being licensed across sports networks including ESPN, Nascar, NFL, CFL, NHL, NBA and MLB.
For their third album Moonshine, REDLIGHT KING went back to basics and recorded a very analog traditional rock sound with songwriter and producer Jimmy Messer (Foreigner, AWOLNATION) who released it on via his independent label, Parts & Labor Records.

On July 29th, charismatic German heavy metal punk rock ‘n’ rollers DELTA BATS are going to debut their first full-length studio album, entitled Here Come The Bats, with Drakkar Entertainment.
The duo unmistakably pays homage to their gods – Motörhead, ZZ Top, Ramones, Judas Priest – but without losing sight of the danceability of a Samantha Fox. Wherever the Bats appear, it’s a party. People sweat and drink Coors light from cans. Shells fall from bodies that would have been better left covered. This summer, you’re invited to join their party, as Here Come The Bats!
Following the previously released, first track “Delta Bat”, today the band has shared a lyric video for their new; stoner-esque single “Hollow”! Drummer Toby Fuhrmann reveals: “Sometimes you accidentally write a stoner rock song, even though you’re not a stoner rock band. That’s what happened at the Delta Bats camp right now. And it’s actually 7 minutes long. The lyrics run deep and we’re not apologizing. Expect the unexpected! Here come the Bats!”
Band members, Toby and Don Canone, have been in this business long enough to know that they will not reinvent rock’n’roll. They were born too late for that. But at least they were born in time to save it. After years as a well-oiled rhythm section in various bands, the two brothers in spirit have made their debut as a duo, the DELTA BATS, and have reduced themselves to what they do best: No-holds-barred low blows of drum and bass, mangy vocals and raw riffs that don’t even try to sound virtuosic. DELTA BATS are having fun, but are bitterly serious. While Don has drifted straight from an East German contrabass forge into metal, Toby has beaten his way up from a boys’ choir via American marching bands to a drummer whose punch would make a Texan blacksmith pale in comparison.
Here Come The Bats was recorded, mixed and mastered by Jan Oberg (Earth Ship, Grin) at the Hidden Planet Studio in Berlin, Germany. Slated for a release on July 29, 2022 through Drakkar Entertainment, the album pre-sale is available at THIS LOCATION!
Australian death metal trio WEREWOLVES have today shared the second single from their forthcoming third album, From the Cave to the Grave, titled Crushing Heaven’s Mandate. Alongside the group’s latest cut of incandescent extremity, WEREWOLVES have also shared an accompanying visualizer for the track.
Bassist/vocalist Sam Bean comments: “”2022 seems to be the age of authoritarian regimes, and when it comes to tyrants we prefer one and one only: ourselves. Fuck everyone else. This superb, delicate, and delightful song rejoices in the downfall of every sour-face shit-cunt who has spent their last few years waging economic wars, propaganda campaigns, and invasions. Anyone striking a pose by sniffing their throne can suck our ass. Bow down.”
WEREWOLVES’ debut The Dead Are Screaming was recorded in 2019 and followed by Australia going from medium to well-done in apocalyptic bushfires. The second release What A Time to Be Alive was recorded in 2020 and closely preceded a global pandemic then mass hysteria. WEREWOLVES attempted some caution and tact by only releasing a limited vinyl EP, DeathMetal, in February 2022 and happened to put it out for sale the same day war came to Europe.
From The Cave to The Grave keeps up the searing pace of the first two WEREWOLVES albums, with a mix of black and death metal and unprecedented aggression that is coalescing into a style of its own. Opener Self-Help Book Burning kicks the door in Hate Eternal-style before deforming into a blackened ending. It’s followed by stadium crowd-pleaser We Are Better Than You, blaster All the Better to Eat You With, and social credit score-destroyer Crushing Heaven’s Mandate. Harvest of the Skulls is an ode to the horror of genocide and the rest of the album blasts through to closing threat Watch Your Mouth, leaving you to enjoy your ringing ears and mild trauma.
The mixing is by Joe Haley (Psycroptic) and the artwork is by Mitchell Nolte. Slayer never changed their shit up, neither will WEREWOLVES. “Change” can be mistaken for “progression”, which WEREWOLVES shrinks in horror from.
From the Cave to the Grave tracklist: 1. Self-Help Book-Burning 2. We Are Better Than You 3. All the Better To Eat You With 4. Crushing Heaven’s Mandate 5. Harvest of the Skulls 6. Oedipus Tyrannus 7. Nuclear Family Holocaust 8. Pride and Extreme Prejudice 9. Watch Your Mouth
