L-R: Eren Basbug, Jure Lopatic, Davidavi Dolev, Dmitri Alperovich, Grega Plamberger
SEVENTH STATION, led by guitarist Dmitri Alperovich and featuring keyboard player Eren Başbuğ (mostly known for his work with Jordan Rudess and Dream Theater) along with Davidavi ‘Vidi’ Dolev (frontman of Subterranean Masquerade) are ready to release their first single in five years. “All Hail the Moustache” blurs the line between reality and hallucination and is especially relevant to present world events. Along with reaching a new level of musicality and artistic expression, the band hopes that listeners will gain something from listening to it and find all the hidden messages in the music.
According to them, the single is a manic track portraying the grandiosity of a tyrant, a power trip that is getting out of hand, an active volcano hoping for some sort of immortality, spiraling out of control under waves of paranoia. Ironically, at the same time, it could also portray the minds of some artists. They chose the Moustache as a symbol of an ever-growing force of dark leaders in recent history, and though the current tyrants are shaved, we all know what goes under their skin. Guitarist Dmitri Alperovich explains the track and the accompanying video further:
“Through the intense music and the shocking video, we call people to respect each other and say no to any kind of war or dictatorship around the world. The animation was done by the great Finnish animator, Mika Tyyska, who worked on Dream Theater’s ‘Octavarium’ animation and he managed to put his unique input into our ideas. Slovenian actor, Anton Strojin, is starring in the first part of the video and is bringing his colorful acting to the surreal script, prepare yourself, this is a strange one.”
“All Hail the Moustache” is just the beginning, the tip of the iceberg of what to expect next from Seventh Station who has other singles in the works which will eventually lead to the full, concept album.
Theatrical magic on steroids, Seventh Station passionate storytellers, and classically trained musicians/composers are recommended for fans of Dream Theater, Pink Floyd, and Opeth.
MARCO MENDOZA will be releasing his fourth solo album and second on Mighty Music/Target later in 2022. First up is the single “Take It To The Limit”.
Known throughout the music world as a talented solid bass player for bands like Thin Lizzy, Whitesnake, Journey, Ted Nugent, and The Dead Daisies to name a few, Marco has recorded a body of amazing music in his own right.
Working with world-class producer Soren Andersen, owner of Medley Studios in Copenhagen, dubbed by some as “the new Mutt Lange”, the partnership that has already produced the career-defining “Viva La Rock” album in 2017, has created another future masterpiece together.
The first offering, “Take It To The Limit”, was recorded before the world went crazy with a pandemic, then a war, which really has seen the world be taken to the limit. A hard-hitting track with as many hooks as a fishing boat, this opening single opens the doors wide to what can be expected from the new album later this year.
“After the World going through some dramatic changes and having to wait for so long, I am extremely excited to share the first single”, Mendoza offers. “This was the first song Soren Anderson and I wrote back in November of 2019. It is the first of an album of songs that I am very proud of! Thank you for the Love and continued support, it’s greatly appreciated. VIVA LA ROCK!”
“Take It to the Limit” will be released as a digital single via Mighty Music on April 15th, 2022. A new Marco Mendoza album is expected to be released in 2022.

Italian sludge and post-hardcore rock ‘n’ rollers, IF I DIE TODAY, have announced the release of their fourth studio album, entitled The Abyss In Silence, for April 29, 2022 on Argonauta Records.
The Abyss In Silence is a concept album that deals with loss and grief. Featuring 8 powerful tracks, furious riffage and rare gentler passages, IF I DIE TODAY‘s sound is deeply rooted in hardcore punk, metal and filthy sludge rock ‘n’ roll. Give ear, as just recently they premiered a new music video for the single “First Day (Denial)” via Invisible Oranges! Says the band:
“‘First Day (Denial)’ is a song about suffering and regret, it is the first song in the album where we begin to face the stages of mourning, the whole concept behind “The Abyss In Silence”. It is a direct song that reveals the mood of the whole record, full of remorse, anxiety coming from the awareness that the world will not longer be the same after losing a very important part of you. No other songs could have introduced better than this “The Abyss In Silence” and we sincerely hope that it will deliver the message as straight as possible.”
“Bands as IF I DIE TODAY are an instant ‘go with’ when you have been offered the chance of a collaboration,“ Argonauta Records owner Gero Lucisano recently said about signing IF I DIE TODAY. “Already well established in the Italian territory thanks to killer albums and live activity, I thought it was time to spread their blackened post-hardcore blast through the worldwide key-channels of the label. Their upcoming new album is abrasive, wild and high-volumed the way it has to be!”
IF I DIE TODAY was formed in 2007 in the North of Italy. The four-piece released three full-length albums and two EPs to date, played countless shows in Europe and Russia alongside festival appearances at such as Groezrock, and gained high praise by both fans and critics for their high energy, intense live shows, while they have shared the stages with bands alike Everytime I Die, While She Sleeps, Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, Dillinger Escape Plan, Dead Kennedy’s or No Use For A Name.
The Abyss In Silence will be released on April 29, 2022 – head over to the Argonauta Records store and keep an eye on their album pre-order HERE!

Here’s what the legendary Mantas from Venom Inc. had to say about SURVIVE’s live potential:
“I had the pleasure and honor of touring Europe with Survive and they proved themselves to be a valuable asset to the touring package. I can say without hesitation or reservations that they were most definitely my favorite band on the tour. Incredibly nice and gracious guys who obviously loved their music and delivered every single night. I gave them the nickname ‘The Japanese Machine Head’ a song that they played at every sound check became the tour anthem because of its wonderful chorus structure. Melody, hook lines and brutally heavy guitar riffs define this amazing band who deserve global recognition. Maximum Respect from Jeff (Mantas)”
