‘Crossed the Line’ is the new single from UK-based rockers, SAN QUENTIN, out now across digital platforms.
SAN QUENTIN is a 5-piece band from Southend-on-Sea, Essex, England, consisting of members, Liam Cass (rhythm guitarist and songwriter), Owen Eves (lead vocals), Dan Ridgwell (lead guitar), Nick Kepp (bass) and Luke Johns (drums).
Starting out in October 2019 as a 4-piece, in May 2020 DanRidgwell joined the band and SAN QUENTIN was formed. Recently signing to Golden Robot Records, their debut single for the label, ‘Step Off’, was released in November, 2021.
‘Crossed The Line’ displays the events of a troubled relationship going through the motions towards the end. It explains that no matter however they try to do right it will always end with the same outcome.
The single includes upbeat guitars, bass and drums and also subtle areas which then explode into choruses heard with the punchy vocals on the track and catchy hooks.
“We bring indie rock music and high energy shows. Each song that is written and performed tells a different story, ready to share with the world.” – SAN QUENTIN
SAN QUENTIN are set to become important in the reinvigoration of the British rock scene.

Crossing paths in a recording studio talking about music, twin brothers Mikey V & Andy V along with vocalist, William Mullen, set to re-write the rules of heavy metal as a 3-piece by twisting arrangements, melodies, and grooves in ways thought to be impossible, creating and defining the sound of CHAINS OVER RAZORS. This caught the attention of legendary rocker, Carmine Appice (Ozzy Osbourne, Vanilla Fudge, etc…), to executive produce the group’s latest self-titled album and guide their career to new heights. Edgy, twisted, and ruthless is how many describe the outfit. The album was mastered by Alan Douches (Mastodon, The Dillinger Escape Plan, etc…) at West West Side Music.
The band has just released the first single “Behind These Eyes” and, drummer Andy V, had this to say about the meaning of the song, “Pure Rage and Self reflection. The song represents the best and worst of yourself.” Deko Entertainment was excited to work with the band after Carmine Appice sent the label some of the bands material, President Bruce Pucciarello comments, “Chains Over Razors well represents a new generation of talented musicians, all devoted to expanding Metal boundaries. And if the Metal doesn’t bend, these guys just blow torch it. Explosive and exciting new music. COR is Deko rated AAA+ for chaos.”, Mikey V continues, “We are excited to be part of the Deko Family, a company that will break and rewrite the rules of the music industry. Together, we have formed a lethal combination.”
The full album drops on March 25th and features other stand out tracks like “Broken Home” and “The Narc”. The band has already cultivated a loyal following and has made the press take notice of their no holds barred full throttle approach to their music.
“Chains Over Razors will likely never cover a song by Chicago or Air Supply. Nope, these boys are noisy, powerful and so full of Metal they can never get on an airplane!” Classic Rock Revisited “Imagine a gnarly street fight; one gang has chains and the other has razors. Metaphorically, this is a good way to describe Chicago three-piece metal band, Chains Over Razors.” Bravewords

“‘Dogs of War’ was so much fun to write and create with the boys. I said I wanna song that John Joseph will sing on, so that’s what Jay Velez and the boys delivered. Then I wrote the lyrics, recorded it and then called John to ask if he will sing on the song. I sent him the track and then 10 minutes later, he called to say that he loved it, so we got him in the studio and he killed it! John has such a distinct voice and style that it just killed on this track. It’s such an honor to have one of the entire band’s hero on our album” says Rob Dukes.
John Joseph adds, “Generation Kill’s new record MKultra is fucking brutal on so many levels – hard riffs and lyrics that mean something. The pit is going to get extremely violent over this one.”

Generation Kill is an American thrash metal band formed in New York City in 2008 by Rob Dukes (ex-Exodus). Dukes, on hiatus from touring with Exodus, wanted to funnel his excess creative energy and aggression into something new. After the inclusion of Jason Trenczer, Lou Lehman and Sam Inzerra, the band began writing and recording their first album, Red, White, & Blood, featuring several hit singles including, “Feast for the Wolves” and “Hate” as well as a cover of Nine Inch Nails “Wish” which enjoyed heavy radio rotation.
Due to creative differences with Inzerra and the untimely death of guitarist Lou Lehman, Jay Velez and Jim DeMaria (Heathen) joined and began recording their sophomore album, We’re All Gonna Die with renowned producer Zuess (Rob Zombie, Hatebreed). Shortly after its release, the band embarked on a European tour with fellow Exodus member Lee Altus’ band, Heathen. The album spawned several successful singles, including “Prophets of War” which went to number one on Sirius Liquid Metal’s “Dirty Dozen” and remained one of the top requested songs on the channel.
Following the success of their second album, drummer Rob Youells joined the band and they went into the studio, this time with Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal to record an album with founding member of Run-D.M.C, Darryl “D.M.C.” McDaniels. The project was initially titled DMC Generation Kill before becoming its own entity, later renamed Fragile Mortals.
Teaming up with Nick Bellmore (Hatebreed, Corpsegrinder), Generation Kill has finally released their long-awaited third full-length album, MKUltra. A powerful collection of songs, MKUltra incorporates everything an aficionado of the thrash metal genre has been longing to hear for the last decade: crunchy riffing, capturing melodies and killer solos mixed with brutal, thought-provoking lyrics. Their heaviest album to date, the album showcases the diverse musical backgrounds of each seasoned band member, a signature sound which has defined and allowed Generation Kill to remain a band without limitations.
