Brazilian death metal super-group, THE TROOPS OF DOOM, featuring former SEPULTURA guitarist Jairo “Tormentor” Guedz alongside bassist/vocalist Alex Kafer (Enterro, Explicit Hate, ex-Necromancer), drummer Alexandre Oliveira (Southern Blacklist, Raising Conviction), and guitarist Marcelo Vasco (Patria, Mysteriis, and acclaimed graphic artist for the likes of Slayer, Kreator, Machine Head, Soulfly, and Hatebreed), have unleashed a first song taken from their upcoming, hotly anticipated record Antichrist Reborn! The band’s debut album will be released as CD Digipack and Cassette on April 15, 2022 with a Vinyl to follow via Alma Mater Records – the record label run by MOONSPELL‘s Fernando Ribeiro – and digitally released by Blood Blast Distribution.
Following their critically acclaimed EPs The Rise Of Heresy (2020) and The Absence of Light (2021), which has been lauded by both the international music press and fans alike, on Antichrist Reborn the band revisits the essence of ‘80s-style death metal, exploring a more primitive sound that takes its listeners back to that era, while remaining fresh, genuine, and ferociously heavy.
In a recent statement, the MOONSPELL frontman and Alma Mater Records owner Fernando Ribeiro said about the band: “I have been a fan of Brazilian extreme music, namely Death Metal since the late eighties. It shaped me as a musician and as a metalhead as much or maybe even more than the the classic extreme Metal bands from Europe and the US. Antichrist Reborn holds the key to open the gates and unleash those demons upon us in 2022! It’s just the brilliant missing link between that past and the glorious Troops of Doom future. Antichrist Reborn was mixed by Swedish producer Peter Tägtgren at the iconic The Abyss Studio and mastered by Jonas Kjellgren at Blacklounge Studio, Sweden. Featuring very special guest musicians such as João Gordo (Ratos de Porão) and Alex Camargo & Moyses Kolesne (Krisiun), THE TROOPS OF DOOM unleash true oldschool death metal in its purest form; dirty, primitive, and brutally powerful as it should be! The cover art was painted by Sergio “AlJarrinha” Oliveira, the artist behind Sepultura’s Bestial Devastation original artwork. With growing interest across the UK, EU and North America, Sheffield-based four-piece, UNTIL 9 have released their sophomore single, ‘Skin’. Hailing from Sheffield, this powerful four-piece have captured the attention of media and heavy music fans with their debut, ‘Headstone’ [released last month]. Today the band have unveiled their second single, ‘Skin‘ which deals with the pressures of life and mindful well being.
Commenting on the song, the band states: “Skin is about trying your best to be comfortable with your own self , no matter how much shit life throws at you, and how drink and drugs can contradict a positive thought process.”

Exquisite Aspects Of Wrath, the fourth studio album by Finnish Black Metal group MORMÂNT DE SNAGOV is out now in collaboration with Pest Records. The band’s new work is also their best and most detailed to date, one that also welcome a second guitar player Ville Pekkala (Searing Meadow, Malefic By Design).

After signing to Drakkar Entertainment and announcing the release date of their new studio album Dark Matters (Part I), Bulgarians ODD CREW are now sharing the latest taste of the record. The band drops the new track “Farewell” alongside a black and white emotionally shattering video that will have viewers questioning just what to feel.
“Farewell” is the third single taken of Dark Matters (Part I), which was recorded in ODD CREW’s own “ButcherHouse” Studio in Sofia and produced and mixed by the band themselves.
Guitarist Vasil Parvanovski comments: “We wanted to make a massive and interesting album that includes both lighter catchy vocal parts and emotionally heavier instrumental parts as well. An album that tells many stories. “Farewell” is a songthat can make you think about how fast time passes and that we don’t have enough time to enjoy everything around us. Тhe video shows how fast we go through life until we reach the very last station of it when it’s time to say “goodbye”.
