Finnish post-metal band LIGHT BENEATH released their second single named All These Faces. The track is taken from the upcoming s/t debut album which is set to be released on March 25th 2022 via Inverse Records.
The band comments the single: “I don’t wish for an evening because I’m waiting for sleep. Sleeping isn’t safe. I’m waiting for the morning because then I know that a new day has begun and maybe I will wake up. Then it’s good for me to exist. Then again, I’m waiting for the evening.”
Light Beneath is a fresh post-metal band from Tampere, Finland. Founded in 2018.
Band started to take its own form when all four of its members started to combine unique ingredients of their beloved art of music. There was an oppressive atmosphere, mutual instinct-like drive and passion to create something new. Light Beneath mixes post-metal and black metal to a unique musical union.
‘House of Sand (A Bad Dream)’ is the first single from the upcoming 4th album from Italian alternative rock band GUNASH. GUNASH also collaborates with the well-known American musician Rami Jaffee, keyboardist of the Foo Fighters and also with Nick Oliveri on board (Kyuss, QOTSA etc.)
‘House of Sand (A Bad Dream)’ is a transcription of a dream, a perfect allegory about the love and care necessary to set up house with a beloved woman, and the troubles that arise if the couple is not well-matched. Sonically, the track features melodic verses with a change of dynamics in the decidedly more violent choruses, with 90s grunge rock flavour. The song ends with a dreamy instrumental coda.
‘House of Sand (A Bad Dream)’ is available now on all digital platforms via Golden Robot Records.
GUNASH is an alternative-rock band born in 2003 from an idea of the singer and guitarist Ivano Zor Zorgniotti and the drummer and percussionist Danilo Pannico Abaldo from Bra, Italy. Their musical style is inspired by the “Seattle Sound” and the cult bands of the alternative rock scene of the 90s such as Soundgarden, Nirvana, Alice In Chains, Foo Fighters, Stone Temple Pilots and Queens Of The Stone Age.
Gunash collaborates with the famous American musician Rami Jaffee, keyboardist of the Foo Fighters. He is keyboardist and artistic producer of the albums Same Old Nightmare, Great Expectations and the EP SuperHeroes In Town. These records were recorded at Fonogenic Studios in Los Angeles and have been released by Go Down Records.
Over the course of its career, Gunash performed in Italy, Spain and in the US, including a performance as headliner at the legendary club Whisky A Go-Go in West Hollywood. Gunash participated in several radio broadcasts in Italy and abroad. The albums obtained many radio passes and very positive criticism from the specialized press (Rolling Stone, Rockerilla, Classic Rock, etc.). With the Great Expectations Tour, Gunash made over fifty dates between important Italian clubs and festivals, creating a solid fan base, that founded the Gunash fan club.

Prosthetic Records are excited to announce the signing of Atlanta, Georgia’s SADISTIC RITUAL. Accompanying the signing announcement, the psychedelic thrash group have unveiled plans to release their sophomore album, The Enigma, Boundless, on May 20. The lead single and music video, End of All Roads, from SADISTIC RITUAL’s forthcoming full-length is premiering now via Decibel Magazine.
Speaking on their signing to Prosthetic Records and The Enigma, Boundless’ announcement, the band comment: “We were looking for a label to push this release to a wider audience, EJ and everyone at Prosthetic were very enthusiastic towards The Enigma, Boundless. We believe Prosthetic shares the vision that has feverishly presented itself in the form of this album.”
Of End of All Roads, SADISTIC RITUAL add: “End of All Roads is a mirror held to a society that has spiralled into a chaotic and unsustainable force. Authoritarianism, urban decay, and surveillance right outside your door. Under a watchful eye, our collective minds are battered into our new found mass psychosis.”
SADISTIC RITUAL’s debut album, Visionaire of Death, was previously described by Decibel as ‘a fearsome thrash ripper’, whilst other publications levelled comparisons to the likes of Kreator, Watain, and Sodom. The 2019 album was released after honing their craft – on the road and in the studio – and refining the vision that Charlie Southern (guitar and vocals) first brought to life back a decade prior.
SADISTIC RITUAL delivers classic thrash licks in spades, set against a backdrop of chugging, headbang-worthy tunes. The accessibility of their songs – which will delight metalheads across subgenres – belies the thought and consideration that goes into each element of SADISTIC RITUAL. Their strong DIY ethic means everyone’s getting their hands dirty along the way, and allows each member to play to their strengths. In the case of guitarist, Alex Parra, that includes notching up production credits on the recording of The Enigma, Boundless, Arthur Rizk (Power Trip, Tomb Mold, Venom Prison) was brought in to master the album.
With a disdain for authority, and themes of real world horrors – specifically spiritual and political fears being confronted – running through the album, there’s a dark and sometimes paranoid undercurrent to the lyrical content on The Enigma, Boundless, penned by Southern and drummer, Joe Sweat. Throw in an affection for LSD and the psychedelic part of ‘psychedelic thrash’ starts to become further apparent. The Enigma, Boundless was written, recorded, and ritualized under the dystopian schism that was 2020 – and arrives here in 2022 to annihilate the fallacies of a fabricated reality.
The distinctive album art was crafted through a collaborative process between artist Erica Frevel and Sweat, who shared themes, ideas and creative directions to guide her visual representations. Bassist LaMar George worked on the album layout, making the presentation of the overall album aesthetic a truly collaborative effort – and an accurate depiction of SADISTIC RITUAL in 2022.
The Enigma, Boundless tracklist: 1. End of All Roads 2. And You 3. Dire Avidity 4. Murmur 5. Maelstrom of Consciousness 6. Area Denial 7. The Blood of Memory 8. Raving Voyeurism 9. Enigma, Boundless

Following last month’s announcement of their upcoming sophomore album, It’s Time… To Rise From The Grave, UNDEATH have today shared a punishing new single – titled Head Splattered in Seven Ways. The Rochester, NY death metal group are premiering the song’s fittingly bloody music video now via YouTube. Head Splattered in Seven Ways is the second track to be taken from It’s Time… To Rise From The Grave, set to be released via Prosthetic Records on April 22.
Head Splattered in Seven Ways‘ unnerving horror-inspired visual was once again produced by Errick Easterday, filmed at McCanns Local Meat Emporium in the band’s home of Rochester, NY.
Of the single, guitarist Kyle Beam comments: “Head Splattered in Seven Ways is all about the number 7: There’s seven syllables in the title, it’s the seventh song on the record, the verse and chorus are in seven AND the bridge section repeats seven times. As if that wasn’t crazy enough, lyrically the song is centered around a deranged interrogation scene with a murderer that possesses psionic powers – the kind capable of making heads explode and splatter in…well, you do the math. Simply put, this is an odd-time death metal banger that you’ll snap your neck trying to headbang along to. Enjoy!”
Vocalist Alexander Jones continues: “I’m really stoked about Head Splattered in Seven Ways. It’s definitely one of the crazier, more technically intense songs on the record so I’m excited that we’re getting it out right after Rise from the Grave, which is by far one of the most straight forward tracks we’ve ever written. Both songs showcase the number one thing that Undeath is about, albeit in very different ways: the power of a dope riff.
“Also, the video that we shot with Errick Easterday is supremely fucked up. Shoutout to McCanns Local Meats, Rochester’s premiere meat emporium, for letting us use their space (and to Mr. McCann himself for staring in the video!) If you’re ever in the area make sure you swing by for a great banh mi and a cup of coffee.”
It’s Time… To Rise from the Grave, shows the reconfigured quintet—Kyle Beam (guitars), Alexander Jones (vocals), Tommy Wall (bass), Jared Welch (guitars) and Matt Browning (drums)—have retained their mind-infecting sonic savagery but weren’t satisfied in their pursuit to improve it through wicked (yet studied) reformulation. It’s Time… To Rise from the Grave isn’t just an early contender for death metal album of 2022—it’s destined to be a modern-day classic.
UNDEATH traveled to Philadelphia to record It’s Time… To Rise from the Grave with Scoops Dardaris at Headroom Studios in March-April 2021. Dardaris rough-mixed on the fly during the recording sessions, and then required two more weeks after to finalize the mix. Not ones to sacrifice a working team, they brought on Arthur Rizk (Creeping Death, Enforced) to master.
In four years, UNDEATH have done the unlikely. They have two celebrated, oft-streamed demos, a coveted Decibel flexi disc, two brutish videos (Acidic Twilight Visions,Entranced by the Pendulum), completed a riotous 30-date American tour mid-pandemic with The Black Dahlia Murder, and released a fan-obsessed full-length in Lesions of a Different Kind. To stop now would be contrary to UNDEATH’s diehard, work-hardened ethos. Indeed, they’re forging ahead. It’s Time… To Rise from the Grave undoubtedly levels up UNDEATH. The New Yorkers are the vanguard of the next wave of hard-hearted American death metal. Join the undead army now…march or die completely!
