Before their new album “Saudade” is out on October 31st, 2025 DEEZ NUTS are releasing the entertaining, animated video for “5 Gold Chains” that is a celebration of loyalty and friendship.
The band comments: “5 Gold Chains’’ is shaping up to be our new anthem, and we wanted to crown its arrival with a memorable video. We collaborated with animator tenthdan for part one of a 2-part animated story, something super fun we’ve never done before. We love it and we hope you do too. Part 2 coming soon!”
As a last single before their new album, “May The Bridges We Burn Light The Way”, drops November 7th Finnish melodic death metal stalwarts OMNIUM GATHERUM are releasing the 80s infused “Walking Ghost Phase” that comes with a visualizer video which can be watched below.
Jukka Pelkonen (vocals) about the song: “’Walking Ghost Phase’ is about addiction in its many forms. It is about dullness defeating passion yet the addiction creating a fixation. It is a zombie-like state where one is forced to go through the destructive pattern repeatedly. Self-deception is one of the key topics in this song. How addiction lures one into thinking there is nothing wrong and then it consumes you. The title is a real term used when the Chernobyl nuclear power plant disaster happened in the 80’s. There were workers exposed to heavy radiation who obviously got sick from it. After a while they seemed to be cured, but that was only a deception. Soon afterwards they just collapsed and passed away. That is why I linked the ‘Walking Ghost Phase’-state to the idea of addiction.”
Markus Vanhala (guitars) further comments: “Here’s the third OG single down the road – called ‘Walking Ghost Phase’. This one represents the simpler, straight-forward banger side of the upcoming album, it is getting your heads banging and fists pumping. Really looking forward to playing this one live as it has a feel of an upcoming classic live anthem – luckily we have A LOT of shows coming up. Also fear not, there’s also gonna be some a bit more proggy or advanced stuff on the album. May the bridges we burn light the way!”
The song is taken from “May The Bridges We Burn Light The Way”.

Japanese rock force coldrain have unveiled their third single, “FREE FALL”, taken from their upcoming EP “OPTIMIZE” . The single dives deeper into the band’s signature mixture of melodic intensity and raw emotion, delivering a song that could become a fans favorite anthem. “FREE FALL” follows coldrain’s latest single releases “INCOMPLETE” and “CHASING SHADOWS”. The upcoming EP “OPTIMIZE” will feature five tracks in total and will be released digital on all platforms October 24th, 2025, via Century Media Records.
On January 16th, blackened deathcore quintet Ov Sulfur will release their sophomore album, Endless, via Century Media Records. Propelled by the vocalizations of frontman Ricky Hoover, Ov Sulfur pushes the boundaries of their deathcore origins on this upcoming record, simultaneously embracing black metal while exploring a surprising degree of melody that never dilutes their genre-decimating approach. Watch the video for the new single “Evermore”, now here.
“Until Now” is the latest single from Chinese Mongolian progressive metal collective NINE TREASURES. The track appears on the band’s stunning Seeking The Absolute full-length, set for release on October 24th via Metal Blade Records.
Offers vocalist/guitarist Askhan on the track, “The first riff of ‘Until Now’ came to life in early 2021, and it eventually became the opening chapter of this album. After releasing our last record, Wisdom Eyes, we kept writing new material, but nothing felt right. We didn’t want to repeat ourselves – we were searching for something more honest, more satisfying. So we scrapped over twenty songs and started from scratch. It was a heavy moment. We had no idea what direction to take, whether we’d even be able to finish the album, or if any of it would succeed. We were deep in a fog of uncertainty.
“Then one morning, while playing the tovshuur [Mongolian plucked musical instrument], I stumbled upon a sliding riff that just clicked. We kept refining it again and again until it became the final version – recorded, once again, in Los Angeles. Midway through, the track breaks into a stream-of-consciousness improvisation, wild and free. Every time we perform it, it feels like riding a wave that just keeps rising and rolling. We get completely lost in it and we love it.”
Watch the band’s previously released video for “Real Dream” HERE.
Formed by vocalist/guitarist Askhan in 2010 in the autonomous region of Inner Mongolia in China, NINE TREASURES delivers a unique combination of heavy metal and traditional Mongolian instrumentation, utilizing both conventional vocals and Mongolian throat singing. Guitars, bass, and drums collide with indigenous string instruments including the balalaika and the morin khuur (horsehead fiddle), resulting in a sonic kaleidoscope that follows no set template. NINE TREASURES moves easily from a straight-up headbanging style to the more atmospheric progressive style. Guitar-wise, Askhan infuses a lot of Mongolian playing techniques and songwriting logic into his playing and is excited for the “fresh blood” it adds to the band’s sound. The quintet’s varied approaches and universal messaging will allow them to tour with any musically progressive band, be it Amon Amarth or Tool.
Playing 100-plus festival shows and headlining gigs per year in Asia, to audiences of up to 50,000, and with four albums to their name, NINE TREASURES are at the top of their proverbial game and ready to conquer the Western world. Seeking The Absolute is their first record for Metal Blade, and first LP to have a worldwide release.
With equal parts fury and finesse, Irish thrash-death outfit UNMAKER proudly announce the release of their second studio assault, ‘Status Zero’ out now, 1st October. Following the critical buzz around their debut Limb from Limb, the band return more focused, more brutal, and more unrelenting than ever.
ABOUT “STATUS ZERO” From its opening salvo to the final fading chord, Status Zero refuses to let you breathe. It’s a record built on undeniable momentum, unleashing riffs stacked upon riffs, galloping drums, soaring solos and punishing vocals without mercy. Around the midway point lies a brief instrumental interlude (“Ghosts of Home”), a momentary calm before the maelstrom resumes and drives right through to the closing moment.
This is Unmaker’s manifesto. It’s the product of years of songwriting, blood, sweat and sonic obsession. The themes across the record are bold and uncompromising: war, genocide, narcissism, betrayal, mental fragility, and even a nod to Tolkien lore with “Katmunda”. For the first time, the band also venture into a ballad, the album’s closer, a deliberate and powerful contrast to the relentless aggression preceding it.
Adding fresh blood to the line-up, new bassist Paul Cassidy joined the band’s ranks during the album’s production. His seasoned instincts and studio wisdom were instrumental in shaping the final touches, helping to elevate ‘Status Zero‘ to the band’s proudest work to date.
Track Listing: The Killing Fields Head of the Snake Status Zero End of Play Kill the World Ghosts of Home (interlude) Napalm Blood Oath Katmunda God Defect Deus Mortuus The Last Wish
You can watch title track ‘Status Zero‘ here:
THE UNMAKER SOUND Unmaker’s music strives to strike the ideal balance between classic thrash metal and modern death metal — delivering neck-braking riffs, soaring guitar solos, gut-punching drums and hefty vocals. But they never forget hooks or groove, the kind of riffs that stay lodged in your skull long after the record ends. Live, Unmaker are a force of nature. Expect full crowd participation, mosh-pits, walls of death, and a vibe of “safe, healthy violence” where the energy is wild but the respect is real. Their very goal is simple: to leave audiences with sore necks and aching bodies, and a grin smeared with exhilaration.
WHAT TO EXPECT & WHY IT MATTERS
‘Status Zero‘ proves that Unmaker are not a one-album flash in the pan, they’re a band here to stay.
The album delivers relentless energy, but also dynamics, musicianship, and conceptual depth.
The new lineup shines, especially with fresh contributions from Paul on bass, pushing the band’s sound into sharper territory.
For fans of classic thrash, technical death, groove metal, this record is unapologetic, unrelenting, and uncompromising.
The moment has come. The war begins. ‘Status Zero’ is ready to annihilate your speakers and leave an impression that demands repeat listens.
‘Status Zero’ is out now through all major digital platforms, streaming services, and via Unmaker’s Bandcamp / direct-to-fan channels. Stay tuned for upcoming video singles, press streams, interview opportunities, and tour announcements in support of Status Zero.
