Centinex, the Swedish death metal legends, have returned with their most ferocious and uncompromising offering yet. New Release With Guts And Glory (out November 7th) is a raw, high-energy album that ditches the excess and focuses on what matters: unrelenting riffs, d-beats, and thrash-infused aggression.
Stripping away atmospheric frills and polished production, Centinex returns to their roots with a sound that combines the ferocity of early death metal with the urgency of punk. Whether it’s the punishing gallop of the riffs or the blazing d-beat drum patterns, this album is an all-out sonic assault, as fast as it is brutal, with no time to spare.
Centinex continues to deliver what only they can: fast, brutal death metal with punk energy that hits like a freight train. If you loved the aggression of old-school death and thrash, this is for you.” The band pushes themselves to the edge, delivering 8 tracks of relentless, stripped-back death metal that kicks you in the teeth from the first note to the last. It’s not pretty — it’s not supposed to be.

In support of their critically-acclaimed, new studio offering, Portals, Icelandic retro-fueled prog rock torchbearers THE VINTAGE CARAVAN have released a visualizer video clip for their latest single“Alone”. Portals will drop this Friday, September 26th on Napalm Records, and sees the trio deliver another testament to their endlessly creative, modern take on the psychedelic retro rock sound, cementing THE VINTAGE CARAVAN’s leading position in the scene!
Melancholy meets muscle – “Alone” is a brooding, riff-driven anthem, blending soulful vocals with powerful 70s-infused rock energy, that feels both raw and timeless.
Guitarist and singer Óskar Logi Águstsson reveals: “Alone dates back to 2021 and it came together pretty quickly. I made a demo where I ad libbed a vocal melody and lyrics, a lot of which ended on the final version. The song was written during a strange time in my life, it deals with topics of being lonely in the company of people, spiralling down dark roads, dealing with my own faults and seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. After recording the demo I pretty much forgot about it until we were working on new material in 2024 and pretty late in that process I dug it up and it just immediately worked.“
He adds: “My favourite part of the song is the breakdown after the chorus which is the loneliest sounding thing we’ve made, the conversation between the guitar solo and bass lines which erupt in a fiery solo and final chorus which features such a great improvised moment between us three, which just happened unexpectedly in the moment that evening in Porto.
The track features our good friend Tómas Jónsson on Hammond organ. We hope you enjoy the journey!”
THE VINTAGE CARAVAN’s previous studio album, Monuments, hit #21 on the German charts, marking a milestone in their evolution. Now, the new offering continues to solidify THE VINTAGE CARAVAN’s reputation as one of the leading bands of contemporary classic rock. Aside from their critically acclaimed releases, the band’s electrifying live performances have mesmerized audiences at major festivals such as Wacken Open Air and Hellfest, as well as on international tours both as headliners and as support for the likes of progressive metal giants Opeth. THE VINTAGE CARAVAN will be celebrating the release of Portals with extensive headline tours in mainland Europe and the UK, kicking off this Thursday, September 25th in Brussels, Belgium. For the first single from the companion album “Best of Nine Inch Nails Redux” to be released parallel to the forthcoming MER Redux Series installment “The Downward Spiral Redux”, Albuquerque stoner metal outfit BLUE HERON pay a fierce and sizzling tribute in the shape of the somewhat caged video clip for the track ‘Head Like a Hole‘.
Please find more details about “Best of Nine Inch Nails Redux” below. Both tribute albums have been scheduled for release on November 28, 2025, via Magnetic Eye Records. Available for pre-orderHERE
Parallelto the companion album “Best of Nine Inch Nails Redux“, Magnetic Eye Records will release “The Downward Spiral Redux” that contains 14 cover renditions of the original album tracks in sequence, recorded by some of the most compelling artists in hard and heavy music today.
The official music video for BLUE HERON‘s version of the NINE INCH NAILS classic ‘Head Like a Hole‘ is now available to watch here:
BLUE HERON comment: “It’s always been a dream to cover a Nine Inch Nails song, but the opportunity never presented itself being that I’ve never played in an Industrial band“, bass player “Big” Steve Schmidlapp writes. “I was beyond excited when we were asked to do a track for the Nine Inch Nails Redux and was shocked that ‘Head Like a Hole’ hadn’t already been taken. ‘Head Like a Hole’ was the gateway song for me and many others to find Nine Inch Nails and industrial music in the early 90s. I always felt like the synthesized bass line would be a badass heavy groovy guitar riff, which was the foundation of how we approached creating our rendition. We definitely put our own stamp on the song, I’m excited to hear what people think of it.”

BLUE HERON coalesced in 2018 around a compulsion to fill the wide New Mexico skies with massive volume, and to saturate their piece of desert with thunderous riffs and gritty vocals that rip and roar. They emerged from Albuquerque with the 2021 EP “Black Blood of the Earth / A Sunken Place”, followed by two full-length albums, “Ephemeral” (2022) and “Everything Fades” (2024), the latter of which garnered international praise and marked the band as a rising force in the desert rock & stoner and doom metal scene. Their firsthand relationship with the desert is inextricable from who they are and how they sound, and the band will bring their sun-scorched riff-heaviness to Europe on tour this October in support of upcoming new release “Emulations” and their appearance on “Best of Nine Inch Nails Redux”.

Enhance your Redux experience of Magnetic Eye Records and friends, who are respectfully paying homage to US-industrial rock legends NINE INCH NAILS and their 1994 milestone album “The Downward Spiral”, with the additional of even more spectacular deep cuts and classics offered on the companion album “Best of Nine Inch Nails Redux”.
At this moment, the world’s reliance on machines, algorithms, and artificial intelligence has never been greater. This makes now the perfect time to reflect on the emergence of a musical force whose blend of mechanized instrumentation and raw emotion was singular and revolutionary.
NINE INCH NAILS were formed in Cleveland, Ohio in 1988. They arrived around the same time as grunge when Generation X was developing an awareness of itself, but while there was cross-appeal, the sound they created was clearly and intentionally something very different.
The skepticism of that era came through in the music, with artists from RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE to NIRVANA pushing back against what were acceptable words and actions in our society, and everything from the ideals of what major musicians should do with their fame to what people and corporations stood for were fair targets.
NINE INCH NAILS were at least twice as cynical as everyone else and reflected the singular, driven musical expression of mastermind Trent Reznor. The music he made as NIN has always ranged from infectious, furious, delicate, and sexual to transgressive, uplifting, cautionary, and hopeless. While Reznor did not always make broad, blunt statements about politics, materialism or repression (though he definitely did at times), there was a consistently restless quality to his music. His frustration at the veneer of normalcy and acceptability that characterized modern popular music was palpable, and he seemed to search endlessly for seams to peel back and rip loose to expose what was underneath.
Of NINE INCH NAILS‘ seminal breakthrough album, Spin magazine respectfully had this to say in 2024: “As The Downward Spiral turns 30 this year, it still stands as an act of artistic transgression against the limits of popular music. Pushing the boundaries of creative censorship, it is still considered Nine Inch Nails’ most daring and uncompromising album.”
Join us in paying homage to one of rock’s most ambitious innovators and angriest Gen X voices railing against the status quo, as we present our latest Redux Series installment “The Downward Spiral Redux”, along with the traditional companion album “Best of Nine Inch Nails Redux”. The two double album collections together comprise 27 re-imagined renditions by some of today’s coolest and heaviest artists taking on NINE INCH NAILS classics and deep cuts.
The Magnetic Eye Redux Series features hand-picked classic albums from across the history of rock and metal re-imagined in their entirety from start to finish. Artists we love from within and outside the heavy rock landscape choose tracks to make their own, bringing these milestone records into the new millennium with crushing heaviness and searing energy. To date, we’ve produced Redux editions of PINK FLOYD’s “The Wall”, HELMET’s “Meantime”, BLACK SABBATH’s “Vol. 4”, JIMI HENDRIX’s “Electric Ladyland”, ALICE IN CHAINS’ “Dirt”, AC/DC’s “Back in Black”, SOUNDGARDEN’s “Superunknown”, JETHRO TULL’s “Aqualung”, and RAMONES’ self-titled debut, which have included artists like RED FANG, THE SWORD, MATT PIKE, PALLBEARER, THE MELVINS, ALL THEM WITCHES, KHEMMIS, ASG, SUPERSUCKERS, ZAKK WYLDE, MARK LANEGAN, VOIVOD, and many more amazing artists.
Join us for our tenth foray into Redux territory as we pay proper respect to the US industrial rock legend NINE INCH NAILS!

There’s no reason to be afraid was originally one of those songs that had some potential, but wasn’t much more than background music before it had vocals.
My label boss, John Cloud, a man extraordinary, had already pitched another one of my songs to Anders Ericsson, a Swedish legend known from Lustans Lakejer and a former member of Ubangi now operating under the moniker Svart Tulpan. Anders had already agreed to sing on, and delivered amazing vocals for that one (if I didn’t know John to be such a sweet guy, I’d swear he must have some shit on Anders! This must have been some blackmailing involved!) Anders did such an amazing job on the first one that I thought I must try my luck and see if he’ll do another (he ended up doing 3 songs for this album!).
There’s no reason to be afraid was originally named TYDIH, an abbreviation I won’t explain here, but clues can be found in the album’s title, Interglacial, as well as MWP1a and MWP1b, two other songs written for Interglacial.
Without going into details, it all has to do with the transitions between glacial and interglacial times. The transition from a glacial maximum to a glacial minimum, in other words, it’s about change.
We’re petrified of changes, all of us, and understandably so, because one change leads to another, which ultimately leads to our end. Anders likes to argue though, that there’s no reason to be afraid, and I don’t know about you but there’s something in his voice that makes me believe him.

Germany’s iconic black metal force MYSTIC CIRCLE have unleashed their brand-new single, “The Bible of Witch Chase”, taken from their upcoming studio album “Hexenbrand 1486”, set for release on October 31st, 2025 via ROAR! Epic and pitch-black in atmosphere, the track captures the sinister essence of the band’s vision: dark, unrelenting, and steeped in occult fire.
“The Bible of Witch Chase is the first part of our Heinrich Kramer trilogy”, the band comments. “Driven by distorted visions, he wrote the Malleus Maleficarum and condemned hundreds of innocent souls to death. This song takes you back to medieval times, where the screams of the innocent echoed as they were slaughtered by the servants of the Holy Church. Once again, it is a statement against an institution corrupted by greed and false piety. Musically, it is a dissonant, metal-influenced piece inspired by witchcraft, the inquisition, and the dark spirit of the Middle Ages.”
“Hexenbrand 1486” will be available on CD and Vinyl (both featuring a comic) as well as in Digital formats. Pre-order your favorite choice of format at: https://mysticcircle.rpm.link/hexenbrandPR
In support, the band will be helding several signing sessions around the album release, find all upcoming dates and record store locations below!
“More serious, more respectful and more authentic” is the definition of the tenth MYSTIC CIRCLE epic “Hexenbrand 1486” – a statement that certainly applies to the formation’s attitude. “It’s a journey through time in the Mystic Circle universe”, A. Blackwar recently said. “The album is very varied and each song has its own dominance. We could release every track as a single and that says a lot about the strength of the longplayer.”
MYSTIC CIRCLE sound unmistakable, their trademarks are manifold and their hunger seems almost insatiable. What the duo has created in recent years is unparalleled and continues the legacy that the band created in the nineties with their classics “Drachenblut” (1998) and “Infernal Satanic Verses” (1999). MYSTIC CIRCLE themselves describe their style as melodic extreme metal, their very own mix of old-school death and black metal, traditional heavy metal of the eighties and horror soundtracks.
Since the unholy reunion between the two MYSTIC CIRCLE founders A. Blackwar and Beelzebub in 2021, the Germanic black metal wargods are stronger than ever. What began anew in 2022 with the self-titled “Mystic Circle” album and was rewarded with a sensational #78 place in the German album charts, was continued the following year with “Erzdämon” and now completed with “Hexenbrand 1486”. “Hexenbrand 1486”, produced with Nils Lesser, is largely about the ‘Malleus Maleficarum’, the hammer of witches, which was written in Speyer/Germany in the year 1486. “We are lucky to live near well-known events and dark legends. Our Nibelungen cult “Drachenblut” comes from our region, as does the concept in the second part of the new record about Heinrich “Institoris” Kramer, the author of the Hexenhammer,” A. Blackwar explains.
“Heinrich Kramer embodies everything we hate about the holy institution of the church. He was a vile sadist who acted out his resentment towards women under the cloak of Christian scripture. The Hexenhammer is the work of a madman and should encourage everyone even more to leave the church and follow their own path of faith,” says Beelzebub.
The horror flair of the 80s already played a major role in the duo’s style on “Mystic Circle” and “Erzdämon”. On “Hexenbrand 1486” they consistently go one step further and add dark synth wave passages in appropriate places, with a comparable flair to legendary horror shockers and soundtracks by Dario Argento, who used synthesizers in his very own way.
In keeping with the theme of witches, three women are represented on “Hexenbrand 1486”: The two singers Sarah Jezebel Deva (ex-CRADLE OF FILTH, THE KOVENANT) and Karo Hafke (UMBRA ET IMAGO, GIANTS CAUSAWAY) as well as Natalie Ostermaier, the author and illustrator of the book “Kramer”, from which the accompanying comic is taken, that is integrated in the CD booklet and comes with the vinyl first edition as a 12-page A5 comic. “Sarah has once again taken on the classic part. This time it’s different with Karo. She carries the album with her voice and embodies the countless women who were burned and tortured because of sick fantasies back then. She gives the new album a special stamp. Natalie Ostermaier and her book “Kramer” came into play through the concept. She liked the idea of using an excerpt from her book for our album, and so what had to come together came together.”

In support of “Hexenbrand 1486”, MYSTIC CIRCLE will not only held the following, upcoming signing sessions, but also increasingly focus on a busy touring schedule, which is set to kick off in South America and Mexico in the Spring of 2026. The band recently signed a booking deal with Flaming Arts (POSSESSED, BELPHEGOR, GOD DETHRONED and others). They are looking for support from guest musicians to complete the band live. “We’re going to do a lot, because we like the old stage shows of great masters like W.A.S.P, DIO or ALICE COOPER.”
MYSTIC CIRCLE is: Beelzebub – Vocals, Gitarre, Bass, Keyboards A. Blackwar – Drums, Gitarre, Vocals, Keyboards
