‘Godspeed Filthy Warrior’ marks the antihero’s return home from war — not to peace, but to settle a violent score with his own family. Haunted by the whispers of his inner demons, he carries the weight of the battlefield into his own bloodline. The song captures that moment when revenge has become inevitable, and morality has long since rotted away. Every word in the lyrics drips with resentment and bittersweet triumph, and the outro’s spoken monologue reveals his fractured reasoning — part justification, part confession. It’s the sound of a man consumed by violence, standing at the point of no return.” –Joni Moisanen
“Musically, ‘Godspeed Filthy Warrior’ is one of the most straight-ahead tracks on the EP, following a verse–chorus–verse structure at a steady 180bpm. The chorus blends double bass drumming with blast beats under a surprisingly melodic guitar riff, leaning toward a more modern or melodic death metal sound. That contrast — the violence in the drums and the melody in the guitars — mirrors the clash between rage and twisted self-reflection in the story. The outro is one of my favorite moments on the record: the antihero’s voice shifts to an almost theatrical monologue, justifying his actions through a storm of conflicting emotions.” –Jussi Tuomisto

Wounded In Forest is a death metal band from Oulu, Finland, born from tragedy and reborn with a sharpened edge. Formed in 2023 following the death of the drummer from a previous project that had lasted over 15 years, the surviving members regrouped with a stripped-down, more direct musical vision. Every member took on a new role or instrument to forge something raw and uncompromising — an outlet for grief, rage, and reflection.
Musically rooted in old school death metal, Wounded in Forest blends the primal ferocity of early ’90s death metal with a conceptual storytelling approach. Their lyrics, written in English, revolve around one fictional narrative per release, each grounded in a real event or period from Finnish history. Themes of violence, war, trauma, and moral decay are explored with unflinching intensity.
The band’s upcoming debut EP, Antihuman Artist, is set during the Great Wrath in the early 1700s — a time of Russian occupation and widespread atrocities in Finland. The EP tells the disturbing story of an individual shaped by violence — born into abuse, sent to war, and ultimately transformed into a serial killer who expresses himself by creating grotesque art from the remains of his victims.
Wounded in Forest’s dual-vocalist setup deepens their storytelling Joni Moisanen delivers classic low-end death metal growls, while Miikka Pyykkönen unleashes high-pitched shrieks more akin to black metal. This contrast creates a dynamic narrative texture, with each voice representing different facets of the characters and their descent into darkness.
Musically, the band combines relentless blast beats, simple but sinister riffing, and shifting rhythmic patterns that keep listeners on edge. Guitarists Joni Moisanen and Joonas Kokkoniemi mix chugging riffs, open-picked chords, and black metal-style tremolo passages with the occasional technical flourish. Drummer Jussi Tuomisto drives the chaos with aggressive blasts and constantly evolving grooves that mirror the tension in each story.
For fans of old school Death Metal with a conceptual twist, Wounded In Forest offers stories carved from something raw and real. These are stories steeped in blood, rooted in Finnish soil, and delivered straight from the heart of the forest.
Time To Kill Records is set to unleash “Zombie Chronicles Vol. 1”, the highly anticipated debut album from horror-obsessed death metal collective SEASON OF THE DEAD, on November 14th, 2025.
“This track is inspired by Romero’s masterpiece ‘Day of the Dead’, featuring related audio contributions. Continuing the tradition started by Killjoy, whom we take inspiration from, the lyrics are entirely dedicated to the film’s imagery extreme violence and near-realism. The invitation ‘EAT…’ recalls one of the final scenes that made the movie so iconic. Of course, this also embraces the great director’s vision of awakening consciences, a hallmark of his cinematic legacy”.
SEASON OF THE DEAD is a visceral, cinematic extreme metal project born from the twisted minds of Titta Tani (former drummer of Necrophagia and Goblin), Giacomo Anselmi (former Goblin guitarist and current member of Goblin Legacy), and Enrico Giannone, founder and owner of Time To Kill Records, acting as producer and visionary behind the entire concept.
The idea is as brutal as it is clear: to resurrect the blood-soaked legacy of horror-infused death metal, channeling the rotten spirit of bands like Necrophagia, Mortician, and Fulci, while paying tribute to the grotesque imagery and raw energy of cult underground horror films. Influences range from Killjoy to City of the Living Dead, The Beyond, and Cannibal Holocaust, creating a soundscape that feels like a soundtrack to a lost VHS splatter nightmare.
The project boasts an all-star lineup from the international extreme music scene: John McEntee (Incantation) – Vocals Fiore Stravino (Fulci) – Vocals Dave Neabore (Dog Eat Dog) – Bass Chuck Sherwood (Incantation) – Bass Giacomo Anselmi (Goblin Legacy) – Guitars Titta Tani (ex Goblin, ex Necrophagia) – Drums
Then We’ll Rise | J. McEntee: vocals / C. Sherwood: bass / Titta Tani: drums / Giacomo Anselmi: guitar
Voodoo Ritual | J. McEntee: vocals / C. Sherwood: bass / Titta Tani: drums / Giacomo Anselmi: guitar
Events Of Flesh | F. Stravino: vocals / D. Neabore: bass / Titta Tani: drums / Giacomo Anselmi: guitar
Open The Gates | F. Stravino: vocals / D. Neabore: bass / Titta Tani: drums / Giacomo Anselmi: guitar
The Other Side | J. McEntee: vocals / C. Sherwood: bass / Titta Tani: drums / Giacomo Anselmi: guitar
Burning Moon Sickness | J. McEntee: vocals / C. Sherwood: bass / Titta Tani: drums / Giacomo Anselmi: guitar
Bloodfreak | J. McEntee: vocals / C. Sherwood: bass / Titta Tani: drums / Giacomo Anselmi: guitar
Across its running time, the album delivers a relentless assault of death metal brutality, layered with cinematic tension and ritualistic atmospheres. Dual vocal performances, crushing basslines, and necro-sounding guitar work create a soundscape where zombies, decay, and gore come to life in audio form.
SAVAGE LANDS are releasing the full video of their star-studded performance at last year’s Hellfest. The metal non-profit, which was founded by Megadeth drummer Dirk Verbeuren and musician-turned-activist Sylvain Demercastel, performed songs off their debut album Army of the Trees on the festival’s main stage alongside Vincent Price (Body Count), Billy Graziadei (Biohazard), Shane Embury (Napalm Death), Andreas Kisser (Sepultura) and other leading voices from across the world of metal.
Just listening to Army of the Trees helps support Savage Lands. 100% of the song’s royalties fund the musician-run non-profit’s ongoing preservation efforts.
Last year’s Hellfest 2024 marked a turning point for Savage Lands. The festival announced that they are donating €1 million to support the organization’s reforestation and biodiversity initiatives in Costa Rica and Europe. Their performance concluded with a stirring rendition of “Roots Bloody Roots,” which amplified the project’s rallying call for ecological action.
Beyond the stage, Savage Lands continue to grow. In France, they recently launched the Alliance of the Trees with three local associations: Association Francis Hallé, Etats Sauvages and Semeurs de Forêts. Together, these organizations will coordinate reforestation and preservation efforts on a national scale.
Savage Lands is also preparing a landmark initiative for this Saturday, September 20. In collaboration with Heilung, Hellfest Productions, the Jane Goodall Institute France, and Association Protection des Animaux Sauvages (ASPAS), Savage Lands will bring 10 metal fans to witness the inauguration of the first Jane Goodall wildlife reserve in Brittany, France.

Having seen first-hand how deforestation threatens Costa Rica’s rain forest, two angry metalheads are banging their heads together to protect the world’s ecosystem.
“After hearing the chainsaws on a daily basis, we knew it was time to act”, says musician-turned-activist Sylvain Demercastel, “because the buzzing is only getting louder”.
Sylvain founded Savage Lands with his long-time friend and Megadeth drummer Dirk Verbeuren in 2022. Thanks to their music, the 501 (c) (3) non-profit has preserved 100,000 square feet of forest in high-risk areas along the Costa Rican coastline. 100% of the royalties from their first album, Army of the Trees, support their ongoing preservation projects in Costa Rica and other countries.
The roots behind Savage Lands run deep. Dirk and Sylvain first met in France during the late ‘90s, when they both played in the socially conscious thrash metal band Artsonic. But just like a tree, the organization is supported by different types of branches.
“As a non-profit, we depend on the support of other organizations, fellow artists and our listeners”, Dirk says.
In Costa Rica, Savage Lands partners with scientists, forest engineers, ecological parks, private businesses and other non-profits. Their Green Alliance(Alianza Verde) has led to more than 11,000 trees being planted in deforested areas throughout Costa Rica thanks to the help of 1,200 volunteers.
Collaboration also fuels the creative fires of Savage Lands. The core band includes Poun and Etienne Treton from the veteran French metalcore band Black Bomb A, along with Loco Muerte’s Florian Pons. When they planted their ecological flag on Hellfest’s main stage in 2024, movers and shakers from across the metal sphere showed up to support. Not only did the festival leader pledge to donate 1 million Euro to the organizations over the next five years. Daniel de Jongh (Textures), Silje Wergeland (The Gathering), Jesper Liveröd (Nasum), Alejandro Montoya (Cultura tres), Vincent Price (Body Count), Billy Graziadei (Biohazard), Shane Embury (Napalm Death) and Andreas Kisser (Sepultura) all joined for an appropriately bloody and scream-worthy rendition of “Roots”.
“I’m happy to be a part of such a truly important cause”, Embury said after the performance. “We are connected with every living thing on this planet and Savage Lands is helping to preserve nature’s treasures”.
Army of the Trees features even more metallic fire power. Out of the sludgy distortion that spews from “The Last Howl” crawls Obituary’s John Tardy, who pays a fitting tribute to the endangered Howler monkey by unleashing his inner primate with spit-flinging growls. “Black Rock Heart” carves out a wickedly blackened groove, though the song’s aggressive chug is fueled by more spiritual concerns. “We wanted the music to reflect our mounting frustration with the way the real estate heat wave is destroying Costa Rica’s ecosystem”, Sylvain says. “For so long, nature has been trying to warn us that we’re putting our future at risk”. Who else could represent the magical spirit of the forest but visionary artist Chloé Trujillo and Heilung’s chief of ceremonies Kai Uwe Faust.
Heilung are also working with Savage Lands outside of the recording studio. The world-famous Nordic collective donated $1 for every ticket sold during their most-recent U.S. tourto support their Season of Mist labelmates. “Supporting Savage Lands was an easy decision for us”, says Maria Franz, whose soothing high notes grace the melancholic power ballad “No Remedy”.
“That’s another beautiful thing about Savage Lands”, Sylvain says. “As a band, we’re not limited to just one genre. We can adapt to boost the strengths of whomever is joining us”.
Savage Lands’ debut album introduces several new species of metalhead to their ecosystem. Eurovision’s darlings Lord Of The Lost spill their blood and glitter over the spiky riffs that puncture “Out of Breath”. Holding court over lead single “Ruling Queen” with her serpentine cleans and lioness roar is none other than Arch Enemy’s Alissa White-Gluz. “Now is the time to take a stand”, the band roar in a fierce rallying cry during the album’s climactic title track, backed by Julien Truchan from Benighted and other pillars from the French metal community.
“Our goals are attainable,” Sylvain and Dirk say. “By converting the land that we purchase into nature sanctuaries, Savage Lands will help set a precedent for environmental activism. But we must work together and quickly. Ecosystems are still under attack. If we don’t, then there won’t be any wildlife left to save”.
Raise your horns and join the Army of the Trees in support of the metal non-profit.

Napalm Records is pleased to announce the signing of emerging Brazilian metalcore/deathcore talent AXTY to a worldwide record deal! Formed in 2020 amid the uncertainty of the pandemic, AXTY quickly established itself as the most promising name in the Brazilian modern metal scene.
With more than seven million streams on Spotify, the band has drawn attention not only in Brazil but also across the globe, thanks to its visceral blend of heaviness, powerful screams, and soaring clean vocals that create an emotionally charged and intense experience. Entirely self-produced, AXTY stands out for its ability to merge a modern, heavy sound with cutting-edge audiovisual production, all handled by the musicians themselves.
Napalm Records is thrilled to partner with AXTY as they finalize their upcoming fourth studio album, which features the band’s brand new single, “selfish”, out today! “selfish” – which aggressively grooves amid cutting electronics and a spine-ripping vocal attack –is just a taste of what AXTY is promising as their most ambitious work to date, further strengthening their position as one of the leading names of the new generation in modern metal.
AXTY says about the new single:
“Our music is as true as we are. Raw, authentic, and filled with emotions we all had to deal with.
‘selfish’ was written in a moment of anger after the end of a toxic relationship that had lasted way too long, and it took a toll on my mental health.
I’m through this now, but we often lack the courage to say ‘enough’ when we’re going through this. We hope this song will serve as a milestone in our listeners’ lives. Giving them the strength to get out of this draining, frustrating, and cruel situation.”
AXTY says about signing to Napalm Records: “We’re beyond excited to announce our signing with Napalm Records, one of the world’s leading independent metal labels, responsible for shaping the path of some of the biggest and most groundbreaking bands in the scene. This is truly a dream come true for us. This partnership marks a huge step in our career, and we can’t wait to share with you everything that’s coming next.
Signing with Napalm was without a doubt the right decision, as it’s a label that truly understands our vision. It gives us the confidence that we’ll have the support to spread our art to the world, with total artistic freedom and, at the same time, the professional backing of such an incredible team. Being welcomed into this family means the world to us, and we’re extremely excited for what’s ahead. We also want to thank the entire Napalm team for the amazing reception and openness they’ve shown us since day one.
We believe this achievement goes beyond just us, it’s also about showing the world that Brazil has an incredible scene filled with talented and powerful bands that deserve recognition. We’re proud to carry this flag and represent not only AXTY, but also the strength and creativity of Brazilian metalcore on the global stage.”
Napalm Records Junior A&R Manager Christian Hollik adds: “When I first listened to AXTY, I was completely stunned by their heaviness. The heavy metalcore riffs, the deathcore parts, and those catchy choruses combined with the very unique voice Felipe brings to it. I’m happy to have them on board at Napalm Records. This band will make its way to success, and I’m looking forward to the fact that we’re on this journey together.”
After sharing festival stages with genre heavyweights like Falling in Reverse, Killswitch Engage and Fit For A King, and making their USA debut just last year, AXTY is set to return to the States this fall. The band will join Born of Osiris as support on their upcoming tour, kicking off September 25. They will perform alongside fellow support acts The Browning, VCTMS, and Lost in Separation. On September 15th, 2025, Broken Wings officially presented to the public “Crossroad”, their new single now available on all digital platforms, and the very first preview of their upcoming album “23”.
“Crossroad” is a song deeply rooted in the legend of Robert Johnson and his fabled pact with the devil, yet it also opens up to modern reflections: the crossroads of life, crucial choices, dreams to pursue, and the fears that so often hold us back.
The track intertwines atmospheres of hope and despair, rebellion and fate, reminding us that—despite every fall—life always offers the chance to rise again.
Musically, the song blends the raw essence of traditional blues with modern grooves, creating a unique and recognizable signature style. Adding to the magic of the single is the extraordinary contribution of Fabio Drusin (founder and frontman of W.I.N.D., with over forty years of career and collaborations with artists such as Johnny Neel, Billy Gibbons, Marc Ford, Warren Haynes, Gary Moore, and many more), who enriches the track with harmonica, tambourine, and maracas, giving it an even more visceral and authentic soul.
As Broken Wings state:
“Crossroad is the beating heart of our new album ‘23’. It’s the song that represents our musical evolution: the meeting point between past and future, between mystery, dreams, inner struggle, and transformation. Above all, it’s about choice—the invisible thread that ties every track of the album together.”
Alongside the single release, the official music video for “Crossroad” is also available, produced by the Malalinea Video Agency team, formed by Andro Peressutti & Riccardo Sabbadini.
A work crafted with top-level professionalism, it enhances the power and soul of the track with striking and visually impactful imagery.

Today, with “Crossroad”, a brand-new chapter of their musical journey officially begins.
BILL CLOVE has released a new single ‘Looming Against Wavering Light’, taken from his latest “Through Shadow To Fire” album.
Emerging from the rolling plains of Iowa, United States, Bill Clove is a one‑man symphonic death metal project that blends relentless aggression with sweeping orchestral grandeur. In 2022 he unveiled Perilous Passage, an album forged from a lifelong love of metal, classical composition, and cinematic soundtracks. Though he first picked up a guitar in a church youth group hammering out surf rock riffs, Bill quickly gravitated toward heavier, more complex music. Drawing inspiration from genre‑defining acts such as Shadow of Intent, Inferi, and Aephanemer, he weaves baroque and neoclassical virtuosity into a wall of crushing guitars and drums. Balancing a career as a dentist and family life, Bill remains a relentless creator, constantly composing new material for his next release. Stay tuned for upcoming songs, videos, and behind‑the‑scenes glimpses of his creative process on Bandcamp, Facebook, and YouTube.
