German brutal-surf-death-party metal band STILLBIRTH follow the carnage of ‘Baptized In Blood’ with the even more bloodthirsty new single, ‘Sacrificial Slaughter.’STILLBIRTH will unleash their forthcoming release “Survival Protocol” on October 31, 2025 via rising metal label Reigning Phoenix Music. The album is the follow-up to their critically acclaimed “Homo Deus,” which was released in 2023.
The band comment: “‘Sacrificial Slaughter’ marks the next step in our journey through the “Survival Protocol” story. This track dives deep into the heart of ritualistic violence on an alien planet. After ‘Baptized In Blood,’ this is where things get even darker. We’re thrilled to share this chapter of the story – and trust us, it’s only getting more intense from here.”
Welcome to a world where humanity has fallen and the cult has risen. ‘Sacrificial Slaughter’ tells the story of mankind’s descent into the barbaric times. Worshipping ancient alien gods through blood-soaked rituals and acts of unspeakable brutality.
As flesh is offered and souls are sold, a new cult rises from the ruins. The track is one part of the concept album “Survival Protocol” and captures the horror of a species being revived through sacrificial slaughter. With massive riffs, pure aggression, and lyrics soaked in gore and dread, ‘Sacrificial Slaughter’ is a brutal hymn to a world ruled by darkness.
In addition, STILLBIRTH have announced their return to the European stages where they’ll kick-off the celebrations leading to the release of “Survival Procotol” in 15 cities and 8 countries with all death metal loving surfer boys and girls out there next month.
“Expect a crushing set list packed with brand-new songs, played live for the very first time, giving you the chance to hear them before the official release. But we won’t be tearing up the stages alone: DEHUMANIZING ITATRAIN WORSHIP from China, PHRYMERIAL from Spain as well as EMBRACE YOUR PUNISHMENT [Sep 29 – Oct 3] and KANINE [Oct 6 – Oct 11] from France will join forces with us to deliver the party you’re asking for!” they promise.
STLLBIRTH’s full travelling plan as well as ticket info can be found below!
“Survival Protocol” is a concept album that tells the story of an unknown hero surviving a nuclear apocalypse. The narrative began on the album “Annihilation Of Mankind” and now reaches its conclusion on “Survival Protocol.” It picks up where “Homo Deus” left off: the true creator descends from the skies, and the epic battle for planetary dominance begins. Humanity is nearly wiped out, with a handful of survivors managing to escape into space. After a long journey, they discover a habitable planet and begin to colonise it. The events of this journey are told across the tracks of “Survival Protocol.”

STILLBIRTH are a slamming death metal force from Hagen, Germany, known for their chaotic live shows, unrelenting brutality, and wild blend of death metal, grindcore, deathcore and slam. Since 1999, the band have been obliterating venues and festivals worldwide with an extreme sound fuelled by filthy grooves, blast beats, and a tongue-in-cheek attitude that’s equal parts destruction and party.
Founded by guitarist-turned-vocalist Lukas Swiaczny, STILLBIRTH quickly gained a cult following with their 2002 debut “Happy Stillbirth Party.” After a short hiatus from 2003 to 2005, the band came roaring back, contributing to international split releases and building a reputation across Europe. Their sophomore effort, “Plakative Aggressionen” [2009], led to their first Eastern European tour and set the tone for a relentless schedule of releases and performances.
By 2011, “Endgame Is Near” expanded their reach, earning them a spot on their first US tour. STILLBIRTH’s 2015 album “Global Error” marked a high point, with back-to-back tours across the US and Europe. Their signing to Unique Leader Records saw them level up again with “Annihilation Of Mankind” [2018], landing major festival appearances and a tour through Asia.
In 2019, they revisited their roots with “Back To The Stoned Age,” re-recording fan favourites with updated production and guest vocals. The follow-up, “Revive The Throne” [2020], doubled down on brutality with dual basses, massive grooves, and razor-sharp production – setting a new bar for heaviness in their discography.
Tragedy struck in 2021 with the passing of bassist and engineer Dominik “Pumpa” König. His legacy lives on in the band’s music and spirit. After signing to Distortion Music Group in 2022, STILLBIRTH dropped “Homo Deus” in 2023, toured Europe with KATAKLYSM and FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE, and crushed stages at Summer Breeze Open Air, Party.San Metal Open Air, and Tolminator.
Now, STILLBIRTH are poised to unleash their ninth full-length, “Survival Protocol,” on October 31, 2025 – a dystopian concept album promising their most refined yet devastating sound to date.
STILLBIRTH is a party at the edge of the apocalypse. Total madness guaranteed!

GRAMMY® Award winning bassist David Ellefson (Ex-Megadeth) and acclaimed metal vocalist Jeff Scott Soto have unleashed the official music video for “Vengeance,”featuring guest vocals from the legendary Tim “Ripper” Owens (KK’s Priest, ex-Judas Priest).
The track comes from Ellefson-Soto’s highly anticipated sophomore album Unbreakable, that is out now via Rat Pak Records. “Vengeance” showcases the band’s heavier, more aggressive sound while highlighting the commanding presence of Owens, whose dynamic performance adds an electrifying layer to the song, driving you into a true dark nightmare.
“One of the darker tracks from our new album. We are honored to have Tim ‘Ripper’ Owens with us on this one as he and Jeff tell the savory story of sweet revenge,” says Ellefson.
“I loved this song when I was the only singer on it, but I loved it even more when we got our friend Tim ‘Ripper’ Owens to duet with me on it. It’s heavy, tons of attitude and full metal assault!” adds Soto.
The duo Ellefson-Soto is joined by Italian guitarist Andy Martongelli and Paolo Caridi on drums. Unbreakable features 11 studio tracks with guest appearances from Tim Ripper Owens (KK’s Priest) and Burning Witches front-woman Laura Guldemond.
Recorded at Rogue Studios in Wembley UK, by Alessio Garavello and produced by Chris Collier (Mick Mars, Korn, Flat Black) “Unbreakable” is a sonic assault packed with catchy riffs, melodic vocals, and thoughtful lyrics that blends their classic metal roots with modern rock intensity.
“This album digs even deeper,” says Ellefson. “It’s heavier, more personal, and shaped by everything we’ve experienced on and off the stage.” Soto adds, “The energy we poured into this one—it’s the sound of two lifetimes colliding in riffs, rage, and redemption.”
Ellefson further comments, “One of the things I like most is I feel like you can hear a real sense of brotherhood on our records, that we’re really in the creative process together as a band. The consistency of our sound has remained intact while allowing us to further build upon each other’s strengths from our debut album. It’s an honest, organic approach that blends well and lets us explore new sounds and musical paths. At the end of the day, I don’t think there is anything that an artist desires more than that!”
“Unbreakable”dropped August 15, 2025, and is available on all major streaming platforms with limited edition autographed Vinyl, CD & Cassette bundles exclusively through Rat Pak Records.

They’ve always been true trailblazers, but on the band’s upcoming sixth album, Stoned Jesus are expanding their horizons to a mind-melting degree. On the first single from Songs to Sun, the heavy progressive rockers outran their demons by popping off surprising twists and hidden hooks. Now, front man Igor Sydorenko and his new mates are revealing something that the band has never done before.
Today, Stoned Jesus are releasing a new scorcher from Songs to Sun. “Low” boils with frustration over trying to please people. But as documented by its behind-the-scenes video, thanks to some newfound chemistry, their latest single breaks through the surrounding pressure by becoming the first song in the band’s discography with blast beats.
“Songs to Sun shows off the heavier, more aggressive side to Stoned Jesus”, Sydorenko says. “‘Low’ is about trying but failing to satisfy everyone. The frustration ends up exploding mid-song into what’s now our most straight-up metal song to date”.
Songs to Sun comes out September 19, 2025 on Season of Mist.
Songs to Sun is the first in a forthcoming trilogy of LPs that once complete, will stand as the pinnacle of what’s been a decades-long trip for Stoned Jesus. But while positively glowing with catchy choruses that have pushed these heavy progressive rock trailblazers up summer festival posters, there’s an existential shadow that hangs over their new album. While recorded amidst the natural light that beams into Monochrom Studio from the surrounding Polish countryside, Sydorenko wrote these songs while finding a way through his own personal valleys.
“Low” is weighed down by the soul-sucking feeling that comes from trying to be everything to everyone. While exceptionally nimble, the song’s opening riff winds into an angry, hard rock shuffle. “Nothing I’ve tried would make you glow“, Sydorenko shouts over an unrelenting groove.
But while their new single provides plenty of headbanging moments, Stoned Jesus are still ignited by a shared passion for experimenting with their sound. While they’re road tested following Hellfest, dates with Cult of Luna and the recent 15th Anniversary Tour, Songs to Sun is the first album that Sydorenko made with his new rhythm section. Shot in studio, the video for “Low” highlights their creative chemistry. Andrew Rodin holds down the low end with a climbing bass line and punishing backing vocals – only for Yurii Ciel to blow the song wide open with a torrential rush of blast beats.
“Even though this song deals with some heavy topics” Sydorenko says, “having fun together while working in the studio on Songs to Sun was the best recording experience each of us has ever had”.
The video for “Low” was created by Marco Menestrina with footage filmed by Stoned Jesus.

Since 2009, Stoned Jesus has served as one of Europe’s leading forces in heavy rock. Igor Sydorenko, a veteran of the Ukrainian underground music scene, started it as a solo project after stumbling upon some heavy and angry riffs that would become the song “Occult.” He fed off his Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin influences and was soon turned onto Electric Wizard and Sleep, two bands who mastered the art of bold, lurching heaviness, thus creating a sonic template to abide by.
The Kyiv-based project was initially dubbed “Stoned Jesus from the Outer Space” but shortened to the much crisper Stoned Jesus. The name was trimmed down out of necessity — Sydorenko wanted to legitimize the band immediately. “I realized that this may cause some problems,” he told Psychedelic Baby in 2010. “Some people wouldn’t take our music seriously, then. I don’t mind jokes and having fun, but music is always the most serious thing for me.”
Two demos ensued before Stoned Jesus’s debut LP, 2010’s First Communion. Recorded with the first line-up in two hours, First Communion was a promising offering that dove headlong into the world of heavy stoner rock, with three songs going over the 10-minute mark for hypnotic effect. The album eventually saw a proper reissue in 2020, introducing it to a new group of fans. The first change of rhythm section brought Seven Thunders Roar in 2012, which included “I’m the Mountain,” a 13-minute epic that has since become a live staple. The album also introduced a bevy of acoustic guitar and softer vocal approaches from Sydorenko.
The Harvest came next in 2015 with a new drummer, deftly transitioning Stoned Jesus into the new terrain, with more alternative and progressive rock leanings. This is a credit to Sydorenko’s evolving songwriting style and desire to never allow Stoned Jesus to repeat itself. “It works brilliantly for the likes of Motörhead or AC/DC, but we’re not that legendary yet,” he told Outlaws of the Sun in 2015. “So, let’s experiment, shall we? Let’s play with the genres, the sound, the song structures, the melodies, the time signatures — yes, my favorite trick!”
With another change of the drummer, the fourth LP, Pilgrims, arrived in 2018. A bold and experimental record, it showed the growing maturity of both musical and lyrical sides of Igor’s ever-progressing songwriting. After a year-long The Pilgrimage Tour and yet another year on the road celebrating the band’s 10th anniversary with the greatest hits setlist, Stoned Jesus’ original plans were to record its follow-up in 2020. That, of course, was sidelined by the pandemic. The band then entered Spivaki Records in Kharkiv in July 2021 to record nine songs at 75 minutes. Two-thirds of the material was mixed and mastered before the 2022 invasion of Ukraine, leaving the final run-time of six songs at 43 minutes.
The result was Father Light, the band’s first for Season of Mist, which caught Stoned Jesus in full bloom. The foundational elements of Stoned Jesus’s sound remained (fuzzed-out rock, driving bass lines and maximum groove), once again augmented by the combination of Sydorenko’s gentle clean vocals and hook-laden chorus choices, along with an array of ornamental guitar melodies. And, in true Stoned Jesus fashion, the journey is often the reward. The cuts on Father Light expand and shift — all the while, the band’s trademark heaviness serves as the guide.
Mother Dark, the gloomier introspective twin of Father Light, while partially recorded was shelved due to Igor’s dissatisfaction with the working dynamics of the latest Stoned Jesus line-up. Dissolving said line-up was a difficult decision to make, but Igor’s relocation to Europe brought a surprising reunion with his old friend Yurii, a talented drummer Igor had known even before writing the first Stoned Jesus song. Adding bassist-vocalist Andrew Rodin to this new line-up solidified its reliability, and now, after the whole year of relentless 25th Anniversary Tour schedule, the reinvigorated Stoned Jesus is more than ready for their next chapter.
Songs to Sun is the first album in a forthcoming trilogy that once complete, will stand as the pinnacle of what’s been a decades-long trip for Stoned Jesus. While picking up where Father Light left off, Sydorenko and his new mates still nod to Seven Thunders Roar and The Harvest along the way. But by merging metal’s fiery intensity with mind-melting grooves, vintage prog and their catchiest choruses yet, they bring the many distinct phases of Stoned Jesus to a bright, burning head.

Following the breakthrough success of 2023’s Nuclear Blast Records debut Sight To Sound, North Carolina’s burgeoning progressive, alt-metal band STELLAR CIRCUITS have announced their follow up record, Phantom :: Phoenix, will be released on November 14th.
Commenting on the upcoming album, vocalist Ben Beddick says: “When we were writing this record, one of the things that kept coming up was the idea of death and rebirth through fire. This idea of killing off the old and dead parts of ourselves in order to give birth to something new and maybe even a truer version of who we all are. Every time we write an album, we go into the process with the idea of getting uncomfortable and exposing a more vulnerable part of ourselves. There also seems to be a constant theme of dealing with loss when we’re in the middle of writing.
Everybody went through different periods of loss and grief during this process and I think that it shows through in the subject matter and the sounds that came out of it. We always want to push ourselves to a new place and build on the foundation that we’ve created over the last few years of being in this band. I think that we’ve been able to achieve that with Phantom :: Phoenix. It’s a representation of that cycle and I hope it can act as a catalyst for growth to those who listen.”
Today, STELLAR CIRCUITS has unveiled the album’s first single and opening track, ‘I See Your Spirit,’ which embodies the essence of the record’s theme of revitalization.
Adding about the single, Beddick states: “‘I See Your Spirit’ is a song that seems to epitomize the idea behind the album holistically. When I was in the midst of writing the vocals, I woke up in the middle of the night to find my house was on fire. The smoke was so thick I could barely breathe, and the firefighters said that I was minutes away from death.
The effect that this event had on my psyche can’t be overstated. I also thought it was extremely uncanny how this happened when we were in the middle of writing a record containing the theme of death and rebirth through fire. Especially during the writing of a song like ‘ISYS,’ where the chorus has a line that says ‘I see your spirit. It’s like a flame.’
Something about the whole experience and the connection therein just seemed extraordinarily relevant for obvious reasons. To be honest, it was a bit unsettling. The song in itself represents the feeling and maybe even the spirit behind the entire album.”
