Hammerheart Records have announced the reissue of two Sirenia goth metal classics, which will see the light of day on 10th October, 2025. At Sixes And Sevens (2002) and An Elixer for Existance (2004) will see a release on vinyl for the first time.
After leaving Tristania, one of the key bands in early gothic metal, Morten Veland created Sirenia to pursue his own musical vision without compromise. At Sixes and Sevens picks up where Beyond the Veil left off, but pushes further into gothic, gymphonic, and progressive metal territory. At Sixes And Sevens blends heavy riffs, layered synths, and dramatic vocal arrangements into something both dark and cinematic. Pete Johansen’s violin adds a haunting edge, and the vocal approach expands beyond the usual growl/clean contrast, adding a third clean male voice for more dynamic interplay. An Elixir for Existence is a darker, heavier, and even more immersive step into the depths of gothic metal. This is where emotional weight meets sheer sonic intensity.
To fans of this emotionally and musically complex art form, this is truly an essential part of any collection of gothic metal albums. It underscores Veland’s unique ability to mold together a large collection of ideas into one cohesive musical illustration of dark beauty.

Finnish one-man black metal band Valontuoja is set to unleash the second album ‘Tulesta syntynyt’on November 14th 2025 via Inverse Records. The first single ‘Ympyrä joka syö itseään’ is unleashed today and it’s available here: https://push.fm/fl/valontuoja-ympyra
Music & Lyrics by Jal’zoroth
ISRC: FI3FC2552502
Cover art by JTR
The man behind Valontuoja, Jal’zoroth comments the single:
“From the depths of the withered forest, where roots bleed skyward and the dead sing through stone-choked lungs, emerges a hymn to entropy.
“Ympyrä Joka Syö Itseään” is a black metal descent into the sacred void, where silence turns inward, where gods remain unnamed, and where birth itself is only death in disguise. This is the sound of a frozen serpent devouring itself in slow ritual. This is hunger eternal. This is the forest that swallows all.”
Valontuoja, meaning “Bringer of Light” in Finnish, is the one-man black metal entity forged in the icy depths of Helsinki by the Jal’zoroth. Formed in 2024, Valontuoja channels the primordial essence of black metal, weaving a sonic tapestry that is both ferocious and hauntingly melodic. Valontuoja’s soundscape is a maelstrom of raw, unyielding black metal fused with ethereal and melodic elements. Valontuoja conjures an atmosphere that is as brutal as it is beautiful, guiding listeners through the desolate realms of human despair and nature’s unforgiving majesty
Industrial metal powerhouse SKUMLOVE unleashes a brutal new spin on Jamiroquai’s classic hit “Deeper Underground”, transforming the smooth, funk-driven track into a crushing industrial anthem. With heavy guitars, pounding rhythms, and Skumlove’s signature dark edged vocals, this cover takes the original into completely uncharted territory — fitting for a song about descending into the depths & tapping into the socially political charged climate we are in today.
“This version is all about taking that message & groove of Jamiroquai and dragging it into dark, aggressive world that is Skumlove,” says Skumlove. “It’s dirty, it’s heavy, and it’s very us.”
Produced, engineered, and mastered by Sean Dever at The Forge Recording — who also helmed Skumlove’s previous single Ride Or Die — Adding to the collaboration is Carlton Bost (Orgy, Berlin, Deadsy), who brings layered synths and haunting keys that push the track deeper into the industrial realm. Adding to the track a meticulous production and sonic weight.
Skumlove continues to push boundaries in the industrial metal scene, blending elements of goth, industrial, and metal into a unique, hard-hitting sound that refuses to be ignored and stands alone in today’s heavy music scene.
About Skumlove:
Skumlove is a Los Angeles-based industrial metal band known for their dark, powerful sound. Drawing influences from classic industrial and heavy metal acts, the band has continued to evolve with each release, cementing its reputation for delivering intense live performances and thought-provoking music.

Finnish progressive metal band Rioghan released earlier this year their second studio album ‘Kept‘. The band performed the entire album live at Alakulttuuritila Alimus one day before its release, and the performance was streamed online. A new three-track maxi single, ‘Live from Alimus’, recorded that evening, is released today and is available here: https://push.fm/fl/rioghan-live-from-alimus
Rioghan has emerged as one of Finland’s most promising modern metal exports, making a strong impression with their dynamic and genre-blending sound. Their music seamlessly fuses modern metal with progressive structures and electronic elements, creating a sonic landscape full of contrasts — from crushingly heavy moments to dreamlike atmospheric passages. Combined with a raw yet beautifully crafted visual aesthetic, Rioghan’s world is one that’s easy to fall in love with.
The band has gained international attention since the release of their debut EP Blackened Sky. Their upward trajectory continued with the critically acclaimed debut album Different Kinds of Losses, featuring Einar Solberg (Leprous) and Jonas Renkse (Katatonia).
Their second album Kept (released Feb. 14th) debuted at #6 on the Finnish Physical Album Charts. The album received glowing reviews not only in Finland but also across Europe, the U.K., and the U.S. Kept also featured guest composer Vikram Shankar (Within Temptation, Pain of Salvation, Silent Skies, Lux Terminus).
To mark the conclusion of the Kept album cycle, Rioghan has released a live maxi single, Live From Alimus, featuring three live renditions from the record. These performances were captured during a professionally produced livestream concert, where Rioghan performed Kept in its entirety. The full video is now available on Bandcamp.
Currently, the band is focusing on live shows and recording a new EP, set for release in the upcoming winter.

Eclipse Records is extremely thrilled to announce the signing of GLASGOW KISS to a worldwide exclusive deal. This female-fronted Alternative Metal band with a power-rock vibe will rattle your windows and shake the foundations of your mind! Glasgow Kiss recently wrapped up their new full-length album entitled Down In Flames which will be released via Eclipse Records on December 12, 2025. The album was produced by Glasgow Kiss, and mixed/mastered by Peter Michelsen (Rat City, Madelene, Byting) at The Norwegian Sound studio.
“Joining Eclipse Records means joining a legacy of powerful rock and metal music” says drummer Frode Andreassen. “We’re honored and ready to deliver!” Guitarist Daniel Anker-Goli adds “As soon as we were contacted by Eclipse Records, we were excited by the idea of working with them. We are quite happy to sign with them and look forward to releasing our new album.” Lead vocalist Charlotte Marlen Midtun continues, “We’re beyond stoked to join the Eclipse Records family… it’s time to turn things up to eleven!”
Guitarist Sveinung Sveen adds “New label. New energy. Same rock spirit. Thanks to Eclipse Records for believing in us!” Finally, bassist John Erik Soltvedt says “We are delighted to sign a record-deal with Eclipse Records and we are really looking forward to working with them. Hopefully this will be the start of a long and good relationship”.
Down in Flames, by Glasgow Kiss is a burst of sweet dichotomy, altered reflections, foils, doppelgangers, and visions of the self through enchanting and fractured perspectives. First off, the lyrics are devastating portraits of loneliness, toxicity, grief and loss, desire and darkness. The contrast; however, is the rhythm guitar sound: a bold power-rock groove that launches us into the stratosphere, almost as if the band first tempts us to make love with our own misery, just to shake it off and rock ‘til we drop. In conjunction with the band’s overall theme of aesthetic duality, lead vocalist Charlotte Marlen Midtun puts on a clinic of tonal dynamics and emotional depth. From captivating soaring high range to powerful gritty belting to delicate passages in the mid-range, her remarkable range makes for a compelling emotional performance. All things considered, Glasgow Kiss offer us Down in Flames so we can relate to their sorrow and share in their joy. They prove to us that the two opposite viewpoints can live simultaneously, that both can be true, that both make a beautiful, delicate balance. We can confide in Glasgow Kiss. We come to them with our demons, and they give us a safe space. We include them in our victories and they high-five us when we all reach the top of the mountain. The album was produced, mixed, and mastered by Peter Michelsen at The Norwegian Sound studio. Down In Flames features cover art designed by Frode Andreassen and Sveinung Sveen, and it is scheduled for release on December 12, 2025.

No Clean Singing is now hosting the exclusive premiere of GRAVE HEX’s debut album “Vermian Death”, set for release on August 22nd, 2025 via Night Terrors Records (cassette) and Cavernous Records (CD).
Across its pestilent runtime, the record crawls with festering riffs, diseased grooves and the stench of decay, a grotesque statement of intent from one of Finland’s most vile new death metal entities.
With “Vermian Death”, GRAVE HEX confirm their place in the rotten tradition of Autopsy, Acephalix, Undergang and Morbific, delivering an album steeped in malice, grime and unrelenting morbidity.
I. Steeping Master Worm Flesh (3:25) II. Vultural Scourge (2:23) III. Den Of Evil (4:13) IV. Endless Impossible Constructs (5:13) V. Vermian Death (3:59) VI. Pungent Pulsating Pools Of Blood (2:33) VII. Halls Beneath The Primal Mere (5:34)
GRAVE HEX was (de)formed in Helsinki in March 2024 by Matti (of hardcore band Vainoa), Miikka (Vainoa), and Martti (ex-Loka, ex-Radien), united by a shared vision of primal, worm-ridden death metal.
Songwriting took off like a spontaneous blaze, and the material for the debut release came together quickly – written and rehearsed in short order, then recorded over three sessions during the summer of 2024.
The result, “Vermian Death”, is a crushing torrent of metal, steeped in cavernous soundscapes and feral lyrical themes.
Recording and mixing were handled by the band’s own Matti Vainionpää, while mastering was completed by Greg Wilkinson at Earhammer Studios. The cover art is an original piece commissioned from Slimeweaver.
Shortly after completing the album, the band welcomed Hanna on bass and is now preparing to unleash their bestial death worship live in 2025.
