Finnish melodic death metal band BLOODY MOON is set to release their second studio album ‘Lost & Damned’ on October 31st 2025 via Inverse Records. The second single ‘Deadly Rendezvous’ is unleashed today and music video is available below.
“Deadly Rendezvous” was originally written to be the opening track of the album—we wanted the record to start with a real bang. The song draws inspiration from the A Nightmare on Elm Street movies, in which a dream demon invades people’s sleep and kills them in their dreams.
Vocalist/Guitarist Veeti Sukari shares:
“This was the first song we created and demoed for the album. We wanted every track to be solid gold, so we made a lot of demos and handpicked the very best for the final record. While recording guitars, we experimented with mic placement in front of the amp to find the best possible sound using just the microphone. I played with the heaviest and most energetic touch I could—there’s a real, raw energy in the performance that comes through loud and clear.”
Bloody Moon is a metal band from Laitila, Finland, that has been active since 2021. The band’s music is characterized by tearing riffs and catchy choruses, accompanied by a thunderous rhythm section.
On their latest album “Lost & Damned”, these ingredients come together to create a tight and energetic whole that everyone should experience at least once in their lives.
Legendary rock pianist/keyboardist and longtime Guns N’ Roses member Dizzy F’n Reed has just dropped his brand-new single, “Earn It 2 Burn It,” via 50q records. The track is the third single off his upcoming full length solo album Rock ‘N’ Roll Chose Me, which will see its physical vinyl release on August 22, 2025, with the digital full-length album release following on September 5, 2025.
In celebration of the release, Reed has also unveiled the official lyric video for “Earn It 2 Burn It,” which can be seen below or on his official YouTube channel.
Dizzy shares, “The song is about working our asses off and never actually seeing any money at all. And starting off our lives with incomprehensible debt from the cost of our education to do something else altogether while being pummeled with information about what we should like, want and need. The music was born from my love of metal and my hero John Lord. Thank you Johnny Kelly, Mike Duda and Jason for making it like it needed to be.”
Dizzy Reed and Pittsburgh based 50q records are proud to present his second solo album Rock ‘N’ Roll Chose Me, a personal and socially reflective 10-song album exploring themes of letting go, mental health struggles, the American Dream, and the unifying power of music, all viewed through a lens of perseverance, connection, and the human cost of chasing meaning in a divided society.
Written and produced by Dizzy Reed, the album is a gritty, emotionally charged journey. It was produced by Jason Achilles Mezilis, mixed by Evan Rodaniche and mastered by Gentry Studer.
Dizzy Reed continues to balance his legacy as a rock icon with his ever-evolving role as a songwriter, storyteller, and solo artist.
For fans of hard rock with heart and authenticity, Rock ‘N’ Roll Chose Meis the next chapter in Dizzy Reed’s musical journey.
Dizzy Reed is a US-born musician and composer who is best known as the keyboardist and backing vocalist for the rock band Guns N’ Roses. A touring musician since the age of 12, Dizzy joined Guns N’ Roses in 1990, helping transform the band’s sound with his blues, funk and classic rock stylings on the keyboards, most notably on the Use Your Illusion I & II albums. He was inducted into the Rock n’ Roll Hall Of Fame in 2012 as a member of G N’ R, and fronts side project Hookers and Blow on lead vocals and keys.
American heavy duo FRIENDSHIP COMMANDERS unveil the new video clip ‘X‘ as one part of the two-track advance single together with the audio track ‘MIDHEAVEN‘, both of which are taken from their forthcomingalbum: “BEAR” that is scheduled for release on October 10, 2025, via Magnetic Eye Records. The pre-order is available here:http://lnk.spkr.media/friendshipcommanders-bear
Buick Audra wrote ‘X‘ in June 2024, a few weeks weeks after the passing of their friend and collaborator Steve Albini: “I was grieving, but I was also watching a generation grieve in ways that I’d observed my whole life – stoically, strongly, sentimentally, and somewhat individually“, the guitarist, vocalist and songwriter states. “This song is a loving send-up to that lost generation. We wanted the track and visuals to honor some of the artists who raised us creatively, including Steve. The camera I’m holding in the second verse was his. Very moving to have and include it here. He was a young Boomer, but the absolute King of Gen X – missed and loved.“
Audra continues: “‘MIDHEAVEN’ goes wider; it gets into this idea of being born under a certain set of stars, and whether or not that has anything to do with who we are. As a person who feels like a lifelong misfit with a nature I can’t seem to change, I’m curious about where that starts. Is it written from the start? I’m willing to believe anything at this point. Some days, it’s tempting to blame it all on the sky.“
FRIENDSHIP COMMANDERS write about the video clip: “I wanted the video to have the vibe and look of those by our favorite bands from the Gen X Grunge era while still being its own thing, so it’s lit, shot and performed in a way that honors that spirit without aping anything too closely – hopefully!“, drummer and bass playerJerry Roe reveals.“Everyone wanted to appear tough and cool while also not seeming to take what they were doing too seriously. There’s such a particular mood of the era that no one has captured since. It was the best time for the medium of music videos honestly, and it was a lot of fun to try and channel it. I find it moving to watch in a way that surprises me.“

FRIENDSHIP COMMANDERS are not just any band within the wider musical cosmos of heavy rock and stoner metal. Artistic excellence, reflected in the two Grammy wins of singer, songwriter, and guitarist Buick Audra as well as the status of drummer and bass player Jerry Roe as one of the most sought after studio percussionists, paired with outstanding lyrical intelligence have once again flown together organically to shape their forthcoming album “BEAR”.
“BEAR” was written around the realisation that Buick Audra had essentially been kicked out of womanhood. This album is a documentation of her awareness also while cataloguing other areas of human connection: art, outsider culture, and dark rock venues – all places where empathy and creativity grow wild. Audra and Jerry Roe arranged and performed the fourth full-length of FRIENDSHIP COMMANDERSalbum to have two sides to it, musically: heavy and light, salt and sugar, fire and air, and lost and found.
Although hailing from Nashville, Tennessee these denizens of the ‘Music City’ kindly beg to differ. FRIENDSHIP COMMANDERS‘ sound draws from sludge, doom, heavy metal, and grunge with roots in punk and hardcore, among other guitar driven styles.
FRIENDSHIP COMMANDERS were originally conceived as a side project by the two industry veterans Buick Audra and Jerry Roe, whose accolades have already been mentioned above. When the duo found common ground, they were able to bring all their combined musical excellence, perspectives, precision, and power to their new band.
Their early works, the EPs “GARFIELD” (2015) and “JUNEBUG” (2017) as well as the debut full-length “AVE” (2016) were all self-recorded as well as self-produced in their own studio, Fort Knockout, and supported live with regional tours.
FRIENDSHIP COMMANDERS‘ sophomore album ‘BILL’ (2018) was co-produced by the band with Steve Albini and engineered at his Chicago studio, Electrical Audio. Working with Albini proved a pivotal experience for the duo, both personally and professionally. “BILL” reached a notably larger audience and allowed national touring. Following Albini’s passing in 2024, the band released his original analogue mixes of the project, “BILL- The Steve Albini Mixes”.
Although the duo’s members maintained other ventures, FRIENDSHIP COMMANDERS had developed into a focal endeavour for them both. Their again self-produced 2020 EP, “HOLD ON TO YOURSELF”, was the beginning of their by now years-long collaboration with Kurt Ballou, who mixed the record. He also mixed their self-produced pandemic-era singles “STONECHILD/ YOUR REIGN IS OVER” (2020), “ALTAR / LAND OF MEN” (2021), and “AND IF MY BODY” (2022). These were later compiled on a limited vinyl release entitled “RELEASE OF THE REST” (2022). The singles also marked a departure from the duo’s previous punk and hardcore leanings while introducing a heavier, sludgier sensibility.
FRIENDSHIP COMMANDERS recorded and co-produced their third album “MASS” again with Ballou at his GodCity Studio in Salem, MA. Audra recorded and produced her vocals at her Nashville studio, and Ballou then mixed the tracks. With “MASS” (2023), a concept album about memory, language, and the state of Massachusetts, the duo took the important next step of reaching a global audience.
“BEAR” was again co-produced by band members Buick Audra and Jerry Roe. The duo returned to Salem to work along once more with their longtime collaborator, Kurt Ballou, who also tracked the instrumental performances and mixed the record. As a result, the songs with a huge range of musical ideas and expressions are unified in sound as well as in theme, which runs throughout the record in various ways: the ever-elusive idea of belonging, where it occurs, and where it absolutely does not.
With “BEAR”, FRIENDSHIP COMMANDERS present a rare sparkling gem of an album, heavy yet captivating, shiny yet dark, and songs that brim with important meaning. “BEAR” is easy to get into, but beware, this album will draw its listeners into fascinating and thought-provoking depths!

Six long years since their latest offering, Swedish occult rock masters YEAR OF THE GOAT return with their fourth studio album, entitled Trivia Goddess, slated for release on September 12, 2025 via Napalm Records!
Following the opening installations of the band’s album trilogy, the award-winning “Angels Necropolis” (2012), and the much-acclaimed “Novis Orbis Terrarum Ordinis” (2019), Trivia Goddess ventures off on its own unique detour. Inspired by the most harrowing moments in women’s history, Trivia Goddess sees the Norrköping, Sweden-based dark rock collective delve deep into the stories of real women, devalued as the lesser sex by churches and by men of a petty god, rising up against the real structures of evil in the world, in true Satanic fashion.
Shortly following the release of the first single “Alucarda”, “The Power Of Eve” arrives alongside an official music video, produced by Finnish renowned, award-winning filmmaker Sami Mustonen. Cut to the radio edit of the song, the video features immersive sets, evocative choreography, and striking visuals, amplifying the ethereal nature and power of YEAR OF THE GOAT’s masterful songwriting.
About the track, YEAR OF THE GOAT said: “’[…but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.’ Genesis 2:17
Eve challenged the lie uttered by the “God” and did not die on that day. The only one who told the truth in the story was the serpent. Eve gave us all the power to see where the true evil lies, it is not with the serpent, satan or Lucifer…”
Mixed by Tom Dalgety at Psalm Studios, Wiltshire, UK, and mastered by Magnus Lindberg / Magnus Lindberg Productions, YEAR OF THE GOAT returns to the scene more majestic, epic and melodic, while also sounding more evil than ever. The wait for a new studio album was worth it, as Trivia Goddess, driven by the dark sounds of the 60s and 70s, sees the band doubling down on all expectations, showcasing their many facets with grandeur. Bow down to the Trivia Goddess fromthe one and only YEAR OF THE GOAT!
YEAR OF THE GOAT is: Thomas Sabbathi – Vocals & Guitars Mikael “Pope” Popovic – Vocals, keyboards, acoustic guitar Jonas Waldhuber Mattsson – Guitars & backing vocals David Olofsson – Guitars Daniel Melo Ortega – Drums Marko Kardum – Bass Elin Gårdfalk – Backing Vocals
It’s more than a decade since Claus Larsen, the super-prolific brain behind industrial pioneers Leæther Strip, launched the covers project Æppreciation with an album jam-packed with vital covers of some truly earth-shattering songs… everything from Soft Cell’s super-startling “Martin” to Judas Priest’s “Breaking The Law.”
Since then, six further volumes have followed and now he’s gearing up for Æppreciation 8, due to drop on September 19, but previewed today with his audacious first single, the Garbage classic “Only Happens When It Rains.”
He chose it, he says, “because it’s one of my favorite Garbage songs. Like many song writers and artists, I am the most inspired when things are not going my way or someone close to me is in distress. I’ve always used composing to keep my mental health state in order.
“A few hours in the studio composing or remixing for others, and I’m back to my old cheerful self.
“I’m also a fan of the band in general so paying tribute to them was important for me. “Doing covers of songs that I love is also a way to learn and become a better song writer. I can highly recommend it to other artists. It is very inspiring.”
“Only Happy When It Rains” also offers an early taste of what else is in store across the album, however, as Claus continues.
“I chose pay tribute to some of my favorite female fronted songs.I am a 100% feminist, so it was time for this album now. All of the singers on this one has been a huge inspiration to me. Maybe not songs most bands would cover, but as always I do what I feel like. They are all done with love and respect.”
Of course this is not the first time Claus has stepped in this direction. That very first volume of Æppreciation included songs originally performed by PJ Harvey, Siouxsie, Alison Moyet and Cher, since when classics by Marianne Faithfull, Kim Wilde, Nena, Bjork, Claudia Brücken and Annie Lennox are among those to have passed beneath his gaze.
This time around, that impressive roll call expands even further, as Shirley Manson is joined by Ladytron, Madonna, Robyn and more, across a breathless a celebration of powerful voices, seen through the lens of one of industrial music’s most enduring provocateurs!
And, equally excitingly, Claus assures us that “I am already working on the next volume.”
