Vocalist/guitarist YGC comments:
“A Dark Place to Hide is the perfect gateway into Venom Within. All the ingredients that define our sound and run through the new album are here: powerful and lyrical heavy metal blended with black and thrash influences. It also marks a crucial step in our concept, picking up the thread from Mystery of Depths, our previous record. The Losts once tried to blend in with mankind, but their hopes were crushed. The question remained: fade away… or take their place? With this track, they step back, watching humanity spiral toward programmed self-destruction. ‘We saw enough’ they proclaim.”
THE LOSTS is a Dark & Melodic Heavy Metal band from the North of France, touring since 2010 in France, Belgium and the Netherlands. It has shared stages with bands such as SERENITY (Austria), DIRTY SHIRT (Romania), ZORNHEYM (Sweden), LONEWOLF (France), WIZARD (Germany), KING HEAVY (Chile), CAPILLA ARDIENTE (Chile), DRAKKAR (Belgium), FIREFORCE (Belgium), DOOMOCRACY (Greece), LOUDBLAST (France), and many more.
The music of THE LOSTS, always led by a melodic side, reflects the tastes of each member. Thus, Hard, Dark, Black, Doom, Thrash, Oriental, even Rock, enrich the Heavy Metal which represents the roots of the band. The band cites MEGADETH as well as ARCTURUS, MERCYFUL FATE, JINJER, THERION or even IMMORTAL for major influences.
All the lyrics and designs are linked by the same concept: the mythology of the “Losts”, a fictional story and a pretext to portray a satire of our societies. Born from nowhere and driven by a thirst for humanity, these characters draw closer to human civilizations. As their story unfolds through the songs, they embody and then question the essence of human nature, its power, and the meaning of existence.
Formed by DGC (guitars), JCR (drums), YGC (vocals/guitars) and GGV (bass), this line-up released its first self-produced EP, “No God, No Devil”, in 2013. This EP received a warm welcome from the musical media (reviews in Metallian and Rock Hard France for example). In 2016, its debut full-length album “…Of Shades & Deadlands” was released in partnership with Ellie Promotion. The artwork was designed by the renowned Stan W. Decker. Thanks to sales and media coverage, the album reached audiences beyond Europe, gaining traction in Asia and South America, with enthusiastic feedback from both the press and fans.
In 2020, during the recording of the second album, GGV left the band. This marked the first lineup change, welcoming PPG on bass — a new member who brought fresh energy and direction to the band. This new formation completed “Mystery Of Depths”, produced by Phil Reinhalter at WaveLight Studio (PUTRID OFFAL, MERCYLESS, NOISE EMISSION CONTROL, HYLDR…) and mastered by Frédéric Motte at Conkrete Studio (LOUDBLAST, ETHS, GOROD, TGOO,…). The cover art was created by American artist Chadwick St John, known for his work with DARKTHRONE. Released in 2021 in collaboration with Ellie Promotion and distributed by Season of Mist, the album received critical acclaim and was included in several “Best of 2021” lists across the international metal press. The band has also appeared on numerous compilations (Howl, Pavillon 666 sampler, Ultraje Portugal sampler, French Metal, etc.).
“Venom Within”, the third album, is once again mixed and mastered by the duo Phil Reinhalter and Frédéric Motte. The 11 new tracks continue the musical exploration that defines THE LOSTS, pushing boundaries while offering a wide playing field where a multitude of vocal “characters” come to life. Released under Inverse Records, the Finnish label that has placed its trust in the band, this new creation is eager to claim its place in today’s musical landscape.

Italian heavy metal band HYPERION have revealed details of their third full-length album, “Cybergenesis”, which will be released on January 15, 2026, on CD and digital formats via Fighter Records.
Born in Bologna in autumn 2015, HYPERION feature veterans of the local metal scene: former S.O.T. drummer Marco Jason Beghelli, former Prophecy/Prophexy guitarist (now author and producer) Davide Cotti, and renowned guitar virtuoso Luke Fortini (Imago Imperii, ex-Children of the Damned, Paul Di’Anno).
Their debut album “Dangerous Days” arrived in November 2017 via Fighter Records, earning worldwide promotion and distribution. After founding drummer Jason Beghelli stepped down for personal reasons, Francesco Madonna joined the band for their second release. “Into the Maelstrom” followed in 2020, again through Fighter Records, and received excellent reviews internationally.
The band underwent major lineup changes in 2021—longtime bassist Antonio Scalia was replaced by Simone Cauli in September 2022, and guitarist Luke Fortini gave way to Francis Dipasquale (Dypron). Work on new material began despite these shifts, and after singer Michelangelo Carano left in spring 2023, Max Morelli (Signum Draconis, Ladykiller) was recruited to complete the current lineup.
With this revitalized formation, HYPERION finished writing and producing “Cybergenesis”, an album representing both continuity and rebirth. Guitarist Davide Cotti, the band’s last original member and principal composer, ensures the group’s sound remains true: driving riffs, bursts of speed, gritty vocals, and instantly memorable choruses.
“Cybergenesis” will be released January 15, 2026, on CD and digital formats via Fighter Records.

Swedish CENTINEX launch second new single and lyric video ‘Symphony of Screams’, taken from their new album “With Guts And Glory”, coming out on November 7th via Black Lion Records on CD/LP/Digital.
Centinex, the Swedish death metal legends, have returned with their most ferocious and uncompromising offering yet. New Release With Guts And Glory is a raw, high-energy album that ditches the excess and focuses on what matters: unrelenting riffs, d-beats, and thrash-infused aggression.
Stripping away atmospheric frills and polished production, Centinex returns to their roots with a sound that combines the ferocity of early death metal with the urgency of punk. Whether it’s the punishing gallop of the riffs or the blazing d-beat drum patterns, this album is an all-out sonic assault, as fast as it is brutal, with no time to spare.
Centinex continues to deliver what only they can: fast, brutal death metal with punk energy that hits like a freight train. If you loved the aggression of old-school death and thrash, this is for you.” The band pushes themselves to the edge, delivering 8 tracks of relentless, stripped-back death metal that kicks you in the teeth from the first note to the last. It’s not pretty — it’s not supposed to be.
Acclaimed post-doom artist The Devil’s Trade has unveiled ‘Your Pieces Scattered’, the powerful new single taken from his new album Nincs Szennyezetlen Szép, out 7th November via Pelagic Records.
The Devil’s Trade mastermind Dávid Makó comments: “This song tries to close what the first song ‘The Sleep That Dragged You away’ started. It tries to close the unclosable. Almost daily, the amount I can or want to shar about what is behind Nincs Szennyezetlen Szép changes. If this song had been released a week ago, I might have spoken about the stages of grief. Today, I can only add that there are days when it seems like we have taken steps back months or years in processing our traumas, and often it brings a pleasant, familiar feeling from our childhood, alongside the shame caused by weakening. There is no linear progress, and because of this, perhaps no complete healing either, but these days are important too. Tomorrow will be a little easier again.”

Dávid Makó began The Devil’s Trade in 2014. His early solo work, often performed with only an acoustic guitar or banjo, quickly garnered attention for its emotional depth and stark beauty. Drawing on Appalachian folk, dark Americana, and Hungarian folk traditions, Makó‘s music has been praised for its haunting vocals, minimalist arrangements, and profound emotional honesty. Recently, and especially in this new release, elements of post-metal and doom have taken Makó‘s sound into new, exciting territory, whilst retaining his unique intimacy.
Nincs Szennyezetlen Szép, translated as “there is no uncontaminated beauty”, is a record forged in grief and the unflinching confession. Fans of The Devil’s Trade will immediately recognise Makó’s signature elements: the deep, rugged baritone, the uncanny ability to transmit raw emotion and melodies drenched in melancholia. With his fifth studio album however, Makó reclaims the heaviness of his early years, pushing his sound into new, atmospheric territory. “Nincs Szennyezetlen Szép is much darker and heavier and more complex than anything I have done”, says Makó.
Working within a larger, more dynamic canvas, Makó‘s confessional power is met with metal-wrought anguish, reborn as an intimate, haunting journey toward authenticity. Nincs Szennyezetlen Szép is an elegy to his late mother. “Between the death of my mother and the birth of my son we only had two weeks” explains Makó, and this complexity of emotion is felt in every beat and breath of the album. Survival, suffering, isolation, the endless human turmoil that hangs over our shared and personal grief. All this is expressed defiantly, through a voice that is devastatingly vulnerable and resilient.
While The Devil’s Trade remains a deeply personal, largely self-driven project, Nincs Szennyezetlen Szép also reflects the input of key collaborators. “Just like with (previous album) Vidékek vannak idebenn, my old friend Gaspar Binder helped me write and record the drums and I wrote and played everything else. Szabolcs Szűcs, our local legend engineered the album and my best friend Márton Szabó helped us as a producer, or I love to use the term: musical conscience. This time I dared to ask another friend of mine, Nikita Kampard (Der Weg Einer Freiheit) to be the mastering engineer and it makes me so grateful that he said yes”, states Makó.
Nincs Szennyezetlen Szép is not an easy listen, nor was it meant to be. It is a sincerely painful document of mourning and the myriad of emotions that grip us, from bitter rage to catatonic sadness. It is a testament to the resilience found in surviving and continuing through all, a reminder that “there is no uncontaminated beauty”.
