Eclipse Records is thrilled to announce the signing of SEMPER ACERBUS to an exclusive worldwide deal. This American Metalcore band brings us to the brink of poison and pain like exotic plague doctors bursting from the shadows and forging a path for us into the light. Semper Acerbus just finished up production of their new third full-length album entitled Following Omens which will be released via Eclipse Records on January 9, 2026. The album was produced, mixed & mastered by Chris Mora (Upon a Burning Body, Kingdom Collapse) at Warhorse Recordings in San Antonio, TX.
“Signing with Eclipse Records is a major step towards the next chapter of our band’s journey.” says guitarist Joe Dragich. “In a business filled with disappointment and defeat, it feels great to have someone believe in us. I’m grateful to Eclipse Records, and excited for the future.” Lead vocalist Nelson Acerbus adds “It feels good that this great company believes in us and what we do!” Guitarist Jaime Vargas continues, “We’re honored to join Eclipse Records and bring our music to life with such an incredible team!”
Semper Acerbus go straight for the jugular with their blistering third metalcore album titled Following Omens, blasting us across deserts, dunes, mountains, and woodlands deep and dark in the pit of the heart. The vocals are a nuclear fusion of rip-saw growls accented and built on in key moments with layers of traditional lead and harmony lines both modern and medieval, all meant to paint you pictures and sever your soul. The rhythm tracks crash like waves in the wild, and the lyrics are mirrors haunted by the shadows of our deepest and darkest emotional ghosts. Moreover, this album is a guitar-lover’s dream, often schemed with melodic soloing deep in the mix during the verse, and in effect, sounding like orchestral strings in a supernatural soundtrack echoing inside a damp cave, a deep tunnel, or the nave of some sinister, abandoned, desecrated church. The more nostalgic platform solos are intricate and aesthetically gratifying, and the massive rhythm riffs are often so rich and complex that it feels like knights, rooks, and kings have overtaken a checkerboard. Finally, Following Omens has a wonderfully devastating feel to it, personal and potent. It affects the listener as if a participator in a movement meant to prove that we all share the same dark psychological mysteries. And there is strength in numbers, power in purpose, hope on the horizon even when it hurts. In all, somehow, Semper Acerbus make us value different and opposing truths all at once, as if there is just as much beauty in the sun on the sand and rain on a lake, as fog on the stones or a corpse at a wake. The album is an experience. Listen to it loud! Following Omens was produced, mixed & mastered by Chris Mora (Upon a Burning Body, Kingdom Collapse) at Warhorse Recordings in San Antonio, TX. The album & singles feature cover art designed by Federico Bossinga at Abstract Chaos Design (Dark Funeral, Dimmu Borgir, Oceano, Old Man’s Child). It is scheduled for release on January 9, 2026.

Following a record breaking Redux Kickstarter campaign, the first single taken from the forthcoming MER Redux Series release “The Downward Spiral Redux” is ready to be unleashed: Seattle, WA grunge metal trio SANDRIDER present their hard-hitting take on the NINE INCH NAILS classic ‘March of the Pigs‘. Parallelto “The Downward Spiral Redux“, Magnetic Eye Records will release their customar companion album entitled “Best of Nine Inch Nails Redux” that contains 13 cover renditions of deep cuts and all-time classics from across NINE INCH NAILS‘ catalogue recorded by some of the heavy underground’s most exciting artists.
SANDRIDER comment: “Our choice for a tribute track, ‘March of the Pigs’, is a song that hits so hard“, vocalist and guitarist Jon Weisnewski writes. “It did when it first came out, it still does now, and it’ll be just as brutal in another 30 years. Trying to harness that beast and make sure that it still had the timeless impact, we all expect it to have, was a humbling challenge.“

At this moment, the world’s reliance on machines, algorithms, and artificial intelligence has never been greater. This makes now the perfect time to reflect on the emergence of a musical force whose blend of mechanized instrumentation and raw emotion was singular and revolutionary.
NINE INCH NAILS were formed in Cleveland, Ohio in 1988. They arrived around the same time as grunge when Generation X was developing an awareness of itself, but while there was cross-appeal, the sound they created was clearly and intentionally something very different.
The skepticism of that era came through in the music, with artists from RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE to NIRVANA pushing back against what were acceptable words and actions in our society, and everything from the ideals of what major musicians should do with their fame to what people and corporations stood for were fair targets.
NINE INCH NAILS were at least twice as cynical as everyone else and reflected the singular, driven musical expression of mastermind Trent Reznor. The music he made as NIN has always ranged from infectious, furious, delicate, and sexual to transgressive, uplifting, cautionary, and hopeless. While Reznor did not always make broad, blunt statements about politics, materialism or repression (though he definitely did at times), there was a consistently restless quality to his music. His frustration at the veneer of normalcy and acceptability that characterized modern popular music was palpable, and he seemed to search endlessly for seams to peel back and rip loose to expose what was underneath.
Of NINE INCH NAILS‘ seminal breakthrough album, Spin magazine respectfully had this to say in 2024: “As The Downward Spiral turns 30 this year, it still stands as an act of artistic transgression against the limits of popular music. Pushing the boundaries of creative censorship, it is still considered Nine Inch Nails’ most daring and uncompromising album.”
Join us in paying homage to one of rock’s most ambitious innovators and angriest Gen X voices railing against the status quo, as we present our latest Redux Series installment “The Downward Spiral Redux”, along with the traditional companion album “Best of Nine Inch Nails Redux”. The two double album collections together comprise 27 re-imagined renditions by some of today’s coolest and heaviest artists taking on NINE INCH NAILS classics and deep cuts.
The Magnetic Eye Redux Series features hand-picked classic albums from across the history of rock and metal re-imagined in their entirety from start to finish. Artists we love from within and outside the heavy rock landscape choose tracks to make their own, bringing these milestone records into the new millennium with crushing heaviness and searing energy. To date, we’ve produced Redux editions of PINK FLOYD’s “The Wall”, HELMET’s “Meantime”, BLACK SABBATH’s “Vol. 4”, JIMI HENDRIX’s “Electric Ladyland”, ALICE IN CHAINS’ “Dirt”, AC/DC’s “Back in Black”, SOUNDGARDEN’s “Superunknown”, JETHRO TULL’s “Aqualung”, and RAMONES’ self-titled debut, which have included artists like RED FANG, THE SWORD, MATT PIKE, PALLBEARER, THE MELVINS, ALL THEM WITCHES, KHEMMIS, ASG, SUPERSUCKERS, ZAKK WYLDE, MARK LANEGAN, VOIVOD, and many more amazing artists.
Join us for our tenth foray into Redux territory as we pay proper respect to the US industrial rock legends NINE INCH NAILS!

Since they crawled out from their curious vault in 2003, Carach Angren have mastered the dark art of composing symphonic, blackened ghost stories. Now into their third decade, on their upcoming EP, the Dutch masters of horror are returning to the source that inspired their first album. The latest single from The Cult of Kariba brings its titular sorceress back from the underworld. But as “The Resurrection of Kariba” so delights in revealing, her return brings consequences that are more catastrophic than anyone could imagine.
The Cult of Kariba comes out October 17 on Season of Mist.
The Cult of Kariba is both a return and a continuation. The EP expands on Carach Angren’s first album Lammendam by entwining the sinister figure of Kariba within the folk tale of the White Lady. “The Resurrection of Kariba” opens underneath the floor of a church, where a cult gathers to summon the alleged sorceress. An unholy pounding by the duo’s blood-splattered symphonic signature brings Kariba back among the land of the living. Yet her audience of worshipers discover far more than they intended. The song’s ritual unleashes something even more sinister: one of her victims, now awakened with vengeance.
The video for “The Resurrection of Kariba” was created by Aimed & Framed’s Tamara Llenas.
Tracklist: 1. A Malevolent Force Stirs (1:16) 2. Draw Blood (5:18) 3. The Resurrection of Kariba (4:45) [WATCH] 4. Ik Kom Uit Het Graf (4:51) [WATCH] 5. Venomous 1666 (4:37) Full runtime: 20:48
With the upcoming EP The Cult of Kariba, CARACH ANGREN return to the story that first defined their identity. Drawing from historical legends and obscure regional folklore, the band revisits the myth of the White Lady from Schinveld, this time expanding it with a new, sinister figure: Kariba. Inspired by real poems, forgotten theatre plays, and occult symbolism, this EP introduces a hidden cult intent on resurrecting Kariba—a poisoner and alleged witch whose spirit carries a legacy of vengeance. The Cult of Kariba explores this narrative with a blend of haunting atmosphere, cinematic scope, and blackened aggression.
Formed in 2003 in the southern province of Limburg in the Netherlands, Carach Angren began as a collaboration between keyboardist Clemens “Ardek” Wijers and vocalist/guitarist Dennis “Seregor” Droomers, both of whom played together previously in the band Vaultage. Inspired by the power of narrative in metal and the theatricality of classical music and film scores, the duo decided to forge their own path, infusing black metal with symphonic arrangements and elaborate storytelling. The name “Carach Angren,” drawn from Tolkien’s Middle-earth mythology, reflects their fascination with language, lore, and dark fantasy.
Their 2008 debut Lammendam introduced the band’s signature narrative style and conceptua ldepth. Based on a regional ghost story, the album tells of a woman whose tragic death in a burning castle gave rise to a haunting figure—the White Lady—seen roaming the forests of Schinveld. This story became the thematic foundation for the band’s identity. It was followed by Death Came Through a Phantom Ship (2010), inspired by maritime legends and ghost vessels, and Where the Corpses Sink Forever (2012), which addressed the horrors of war and its psychological aftermath.
By 2015, Carach Angren further pushed their boundaries with This Is No Fairytale, offering a raw, unfiltered look into domestic abuse and trauma through the lens of twisted fairy tale tropes. In 2017, Dance and Laugh Amongst the Rotten centered around a haunted girl and her cursed music box, with each track unraveling the lives of characters who meet tragic ends. Their sixth album, Franckensteina Strataemontanus (2020), drew from the life of controversial alchemist Johann Conrad Dippel, blending science, superstition, and historical horror into one of their most layered works to date.
Now, with The Cult of Kariba, Carach Angren reconnect with their original concept while expanding its narrative universe. The EP draws inspiration from archival poems and lesser-known local legends, particularly the figure of Kariba: a mysterious woman remembered as both a poisoner and a sorceress. The songs unfold as a sequence of events involving an underground cult in Schinveld, beginning with “A Malevolent Force Stirs,” where villagers secretly gather for ritual. “Draw Blood” follows the first act of violence, revealing the cult’s sacrifice. “The Resurrection of Kariba” explores both the ceremony to awaken her and the backstory of her grief and execution. With “Ik Kom Uit Het Graf,” the victim of her past betrayal returns from the grave in a violent act of revenge. The EP concludes with “Venomous 1666,” where Kariba’s spirit is fully reborn, consuming the living and sealing the fate of those who called her back.
Produced with precision and narrative cohesion, The Cult of Kariba ties together myth, horror, and folklore in a tightly crafted five-part journey. Rather than simply revisiting the setting of Lammendam, Carach Angren expand the story with additional historical context, new characters, and an even darker tone.

Legendary singer Ronnie Romero is pleased to unveil “Eternally”, the second single from his upcoming new solo album, “Backbone”, out on October 24, 2025, via Frontiers Music Srl. The track is accompanied by an official video, available below.
Talking about the new single, Ronnie said: “Eternally” is another very special song I wrote together with my dear friend Roy Z. We had been talking about doing something together for many years and, when it was time to write my album, I asked him if he had any idea and he immediately sent me this music with a very cool riff that Jose (Rubio) and I we adapted to the song you can listen to now!”
“Since I live in Romania, I had the idea to write about Vlad Tepes (Dracula) so I thought this song was the perfect opportunity. The lyrics is about his loneliness and desperation… A different point of view and how love can keep us alive even in the hardest times”, he added.
Ronnie commented: “I actually have to thank my dear friend Russ Ballard!! Before I started writing the songs, I had this idea to make a song together, to link somehow the Rainbow connection we have. He immediately said yes and sent a cool idea which ended up being the song “Hideaway”. From there it was so easy to get inspired for the rest of the songs”.
“Also, the song we did with my dear Roy Z, and of course the amazing guitar solo of one of our heroes Kee Marcello for the song with Russ… It’s so easy to write music when you are surrounded by such great people!”, he added.
Romero continued: “Nothing would be possible without the help of my friend Jose Rubio, in the songwriting process and the wonderful job he did to get the powerful sound through all the album, since he took care of the mixing and mastering. I really believe it’s an important improvement from the previous album. I hope you all gonna like this one!! We feel very proud of what we achieved with Backbone”.
“Backbone”, Ronnie Romero’s new solo album, is a bold and dynamic statement that marks a major step forward in his solo career. Featuring a collection of powerful and inspired heavy metal tracks, the album showcases Romero at the peak of his vocal prowess. The album is produced by Romero himself and mixed and mastered by his guitarist Jose Rubio Jimenez.
Special contributions include guitar legend Kee Marcello, as well as acclaimed songwriter Russ Ballard, who penned the track “Hideaway”. The album also features a thunderous cover of Black Sabbath’s “Devil And Daughter”, reimagined with Romero’s signature intensity.
Romero’s unmistakable voice and tireless work ethic have made him a standout figure in the hard rock and metal world. He has lent his talents to iconic acts such as Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow, The Michael Schenker Group, Lords of Black, The Ferrymen, Sunstorm, and most recently, Elegant Weapons, alongside Richie Faulkner of Judas Priest.
“Backbone” follows Romero’s first solo album of original material, “Too Many Lies, Too Many Masters”, and two covers records. 2023’s “Raised On Heavy Radio” paid tribute to metal giants like Ozzy Osbourne, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Accept, and Metallica, featuring special guests such as Gus G., Chris Caffery, and Roland Grapow.
Romero’s debut solo album, “Raised On Radio”, explored his personal musical roots, revisiting classic rock hits from bands like Survivor, Bad Company, Foreigner, Queen, and Led Zeppelin, all interpreted through his powerful and expressive vocal style.
With “Backbone”, Ronnie Romero solidifies his place as one of the premier voices in today’s metal and hard rock scene – bold, authentic, and undeniably electrifying.

“By My Will” is the latest single from West Coast crossover behemoths DEAD HEAT. The riotous new hymn comes off the band’s Process Of Elimination full-length, slated to drop on October 10th on Metal Blade Records!
Produced by the band with Paul Fig (Deftones, Trivium, Jerry Cantrell), Process Of Elimination is DEAD HEAT‘s first album for Metal Blade. Across eleven heavy tracks, it sees the Oxnard, California-based band reaching a sonic and lyrical apex. Forged in 2016, the band is constantly evolving. “I feel like unconsciously the music has become more complex with the songwriting and how we play live as well. We all naturally wanted to become better musicians and it shows in our music and live presence,” says guitarist Justin Ton. “Our music has a metal/ hardcore twist, but I’d say we intentionally leaned more and more metal in our sound.”
Process Of Elimination follows the band’s critically-lauded 2023 released Endless Torment EP. The record serves as a continuation and progression musically, while thematically it often touches on DEAD HEAT‘s disdain for the powers that be.
“Lyrically, I wanted to touch on a bit of everything, with every song about a different topic,” notes vocalist Chris Ramos. “I feel like I was able to articulate a better understanding of what I was trying to express previously.”
“‘By My Will’ is more or less about the idea of getting revenge on the ones who’ve hurt you and left you for dead,” he continues on today’s single. “The message sent is basically that I now have the upper hand and ‘by my will’ I will come out as the one on top in the end and make sure you know it.”

Yesterday – on what would have been B.B. King’s 100th birthday – Joe Bonamassa has announced the upcoming release of B.B. King’s Blues Summit 100, produced by Grammy-nominated duo Joe Bonamassa and Josh Smith, an extraordinary collaborative tribute album celebrating the legacy of one of music’s most iconic figures. Out via KTBA Records, the project launches with the release of its first five tracks and a promise of more to come in the months ahead. A total of 32 songs will be released in monthly instalments through February 2026, culminating in the arrival of the full digital album as well as the Double CD and Triple LP Vinyl on February 6th, 2026.
“Very few people in music define the genre in which they flourish, and B.B. King is one of them,” says Bonamassa. “When B.B. was alive and active, he was the blues – he was the sun which all planets rotated around. Only a few artists are the true north guiding the genre in which they participated, but he was that shining star.”
The album includes jaw-dropping reinterpretations of King’s most iconic songs by an unprecedented collection of blues legends, rock icons, soul powerhouses, and rising stars. The first five tracks released today include collaborations with Michael McDonald, Susan Tedeschi & Derek Trucks, Bobby Rush, George Benson, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, and D.K. Harrell.
A true labor of love for Bonamassa, the idea for the album was born after he realized that no major plans had been announced to celebrate King’s 100th birthday. With the blessing of the King estate, he began making calls, starting with longtime friends and collaborators, and eventually expanding to a wide network of artists whose lives and music had been shaped by King.
“The Blues are the roots, the rest are the fruits.”
These timeless words from B.B. King capture the essence of his life’s work – reminding us that all music, and indeed much of culture, grows from the Blues.
On behalf of the Estate of B.B. King, the B.B. King Family, Vassal Benford, and Ronald Lebow, we are deeply honored to collaborate with Joe Bonamassa on this special project kicking off Mr. King’s 100th birthday Centennial celebration. Together with Joe Bonamassa, along with other great artists, we celebrate not only Mr. King’s extraordinary music, but also his enduring spirit of love, unity, and the joy he brought to generations. This collection carries his legacy forward—so that new audiences may continue to feel the heart, soul, and humanity of the King of the Blues.

The result is a bespoke project, nine months in the making, with contributions from Buddy Guy, Keb’ Mo’, Slash, Shemekia Copeland, Marcus King, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, Larkin Poe, Jimmie Vaughan, Warren Haynes, Dion, Aloe Blacc, Kirk Fletcher, and many others. Each artist was matched with material that felt personal – sometimes surprising – and all were given space to interpret King’s catalog through their own lens.
Bonamassa, who first opened for B.B. King at age 12, credits the blues titan with shaping his approach to music and life. “He mentored me,” says Bonamassa. “But I wasn’t the only one. All the people in his orbit have the same story about how kind B.B. was, and how he embraced the younger generation.”
As producer, Bonamassa paid special attention to preserving the quality and emotional authenticity of the work. Tracks like “The Thrill Is Gone” were given the full treatment with real strings, horns, and whatever else was needed to do them justice. “You only get one shot to do this correctly,” he says. “And I think we nailed it.”
The project also highlights King’s extraordinary vocal prowess – a trait often overshadowed by his legendary guitar playing. “He’s known as a guitar player, but if Frank Sinatra says, ‘Hey, this is one of my favourite singers in the world,’ you listen,” says Bonamassa. “He could shake the ground with that chest voice.”
For the artists involved, the project was more than a musical endeavour – it was a chance to reflect on King’s cultural and personal significance. Bobby Rush, who met King in 1948, called him “the man I looked up to all my life” and recalls leading the hearse at his funeral. Kenny Wayne Shepherd shared a story about receiving life advice from King on his 16th birthday. Marcus King remembers leaning against the back wall at a B.B. King show as a child, a moment that stayed with him forever.
Other pairings bring together artists from different genres and generations, including Train’s Pat Monahan with guitarist Chris Buck on “Think It Over,” and Shemekia Copeland, Slash, and Myles Kennedy joining forces for “When Love Comes to Town.” The album was released through Bonamassa’s own KTBA Records as part of his ongoing effort to uphold the rich culture and history of the blues as a true American art form.
The album title is a nod to King’s Grammy-winning 1993 album Blues Summit. For Bonamassa, this project is less a swan song than a mission fulfilled. “B.B. ‘s only wish was, ‘Do what you can to keep the blues alive,’” he says. “Well, hopefully this album gives a B12 shot to his legacy – and to the legacy of the blues.”
King, who passed away in 2015 at 89 years old, left behind a legacy as a performer, songwriter, and global ambassador. With over 50 albums, 15 Grammy Awards, and performances in nearly every corner of the globe, he introduced the blues to millions and inspired generations. As Buddy Guy once said, “Every electric guitarist you listen to, there’s a little bit of B.B. in there.”
The first five tracks from B.B. King’s Blues Summit 100 are availableon all digital platforms today, with six additional songs to be released monthly through February 9th, 2026 – the date the full album arrives in both digital and physical formats.
