Just days before returning to the holy grounds of Wacken Open Air, modern metal sensations ENEMY INSIDE are proud to announce the digital release of their haunting track ‘Innocent’ alongside its visually striking official music video. Previously only available as part of the physical edition of their acclaimed current album “Venom” (February 28, 2025 via Reigning Phoenix Music), both the track and video are now accessible worldwide on all major streaming platforms and YouTube.
Being a fan favourite since its original release, ‘Innocent’ dives deep into the shadows of human morality. With its cinematic soundscapes, thunderous guitars, and the emotionally-charged varied vocals of singer Nastassja Giulia, the new single continues the band’s signature blend of heavy riffs and dark elegance that has earned them international attention. The supporting video is a visual metaphor for inner conflict and moral duality, complementing the track’s lyrical themes with bold, provocative imagery while solidifying ENEMY INSIDE’s status as one of the most exciting acts in the modern metal scene.
The band adds: “It’s a song about guilt, hypocrisy, and the human tendency to judge others while ignoring our own flaws. Inspired by the biblical quote ‘Let he who is without sin cast the first stone,’ it’s a reminder that before we point fingers, we should take a hard look at ourselves.”
Following prestigious appearances at John Smith Rock Festival (FI) and Wacken Open Air (DE), ENEMY INSIDEwill play a series of Spanish headline show in September before the group will close their 2025 live chapter at Full Metal Holiday (ES). All dates & ticket info can be found below!

It’s almost 20 years since Alan “Boomer” Davey departed Hawkwind (for the second time!), the band his tumultuous bass playing guided through some of the most significant albums of their post-Lemmy career.
And as much as anyone (and more than most), the music he makes and the atmospheres he alchemizes have remained true to the spirit of that band, while venturing too into areas that even Hawkwind have yet to explore.
Bedouin, the Psychedelic Warlords, Djinn, Pre-Med, the Lemmy-approved Motörhead tribute band Ace of Spades and a string of solo projects number among Alan’s post Hawkwind activities, but closest to his heart, perhaps, is Gunslinger – a resurrection of the band he led, alongside his cousin Nigel Potter, in the years before he first joined the Hawks.
“He got a guitar about the same time I got a bass, so we got together and started with a band called Stallion. Then it was Chainsaw and then onto Gunslinger. So Nigel and I stuck together from the start until I joined Hawkwind.” Potter, he adds, is also “one of the best songwriters the UK ever produced in my opinion.”
Based in East Anglia, Alan continue, “We used to play the local scene, village halls, rock pubs, but we did some big gigs too, like Woodbridge Cinema and the Ipswich Corn Exchange (600 capacity).” Gunslinger made its recording debut in 1981, after spotting a “demos wanted” ad placed by Neat Records. “It came down to two bands, Gunslinger and Raven. Unfortunately our drummer at the time left, and we couldn’t find another drummer in time to carry onto the next level, so Raven got the deal.”
Gunslinger’s repertoire would not be lost, however. The original line-up reformed for a one-off reunion show in Ipswich in 1985; and, in 2008, their debut album Earthquake in E Minor included material composed during the band’s original lifespan. Further early material appears on the live set, Unlawful Odds. Gunslinger broke up in 2014.
Alan Davey and original Motörhead drummer Lucas Fox
And now they’re back, with Amped Up, a new album that digs again into the past to present what Alan describes as “five of…the first songs Nigel and I ever wrote, in 1979-1980. In fact, ’Black Glamdring’ was the first song we ever played together as a band, – luckily we had a boom box recording of it and it’s great to bring it back to life alongside ‘Berlin Wall,’ ‘Stone Scared,’ ‘Smoke Wagon’ (originally titled ‘Draw’) and the classic ‘Living Like a Viking,’ all of which have been given a new lease of life they all deserve.”
The remainder of the album comprises new material, while accompanying musicians include original Motörhead drummer Lucas Fox and Deep Purple’s Ian Paice on the title track – written back in 1988, explains Alan, “after Lemmy asked me to write a song for a single we could release as a partnership.”
Alan made a quick demo which Lemmy loved. But he was also planning to relocate to the USA at that time and this, coupled with Motörhead’s exhaustive touring regimen saw the project mothballed. It was a thrill, he says, to revisit it and, perhaps, finally invoke the magic that the original collaboration would have cast.
For Alan himself, however, perhaps the most significant track – and, appropriately, Gunslinger’s new single – is “The Ace,” a tribute to Lemmy that combines some of Lemmy’s own song titles with Davey’s own experiences “hanging out with Lemmy at his house and out clubbing in London. What fun days they were!”
Alan also credits Lemmy’s influence with the very sound and tone of Amped Up. It was Lemmy, after all, who encouraged the young musician’s own musical ambitions and style, which in turn allows Alan to proclaim, without an ounce of hyperbole, “the Motörhead sound still lives on through Gunslinger, Lem is still with us and always will be. I know 100% that Lemmy would’ve loved this album.
“We have that aggressive, high energy sound, but we have our own unique writing style… and that is a quote a long time ago from Lemmy himself!”

The saga continues: With their new single, “A Toast to the Fallen”, death metal veterans UNLEASHED unveil the next chapter in the epic chronicles of Odalheim. This thunderous track stands as a powerful tribute to the fallen heroes of their mythic realm. A firestorm from their upcoming 15th studio album, Fire Upon Your Lands, out August 15, 2025 via Napalm Records, the track unleashes relentless riffs, battle-worn melodies, and guttural growls that echo throughout the ruins of forgotten empires.
Following the footsteps of the genre’s fiercest legions, UNLEASHED ignite the flames of resistance with a track that bleeds raw emotion and relentless aggression. “A Toast to the Fallen” is a sonic eulogy drenched in honor and defiance, driven by relentless double-kicks, crushing mid-tempo grooves, and razor-sharp guitar work.
UNLEASHED on “A Toast To The Fallen”: “In the aftermath of the great war, the Valkyries fly across the bloody sand dunes at the foot of Mount Sinai, choosing the Warriors who made the ultimate sacrifice and died fighting for our way of life. It is time for a toast for the fallen. They live forever in our hearts as they make their final journey to Valhalla.”
From the very first crushing riffs in “Left for Dead”, as the warriors of Midgard deal with the captured son of White Christ, Fire Upon Your Lands plunges listeners into the chaos of battle. Forged in the fire of unrelenting aggression by mastermind and founder Johnny Hedlund, venomous growls and battle cries set the tone for the neck-breaking masterpiece. Roaring riffs and razor-sharp solos unleash a sonic onslaught while UNLEASHED create a powerful and triumphant tribute to the warriors lost in battle. Meanwhile, “To My Only Son” slows only to strike deeper, it’s haunting melodies and doom-laden atmosphere embodying sorrow and honor in the face of war. In the eclipse they summon the Midgard Warriors with “Hold Your Hammers High!”, an anthemic battle cry that follows the son of Thor into the unknown. Fueled by sheer aggression and grand, warlike melodies, the track stands as a testament to the band’s mastery in crafting Viking battle hymns.
UNLEASHED about the album: “Fire Upon Your Lands is our 15th album in 37 years. It is also a continuation of the storyline from the World of Odalheim, where the Midgard Warriors keep fighting for their way of life against their main enemy ‘White Christ’. We hope you appreciate this new Blot of 11 songs of pure Viking Death Metal. See you all on the road!”
With production that captures both raw energy and cinematic depth, the new album, Fire Upon Your Lands, proves again that UNLEASHED reign among the masters of death metal. Combining blistering death metal brutality with a timeless heavy metal core, their unrelenting power, storied legacy and unwavering commitment to their craft continue to inspire legions of fans across the world. Prepare for war, raise your hammers and join the battle live!

Sweden’s Viking metal titans AMON AMARTH are pleased to release their new single, “We Rule The Waves,” and its accompanying video.
With “We Rule The Waves,” AMON AMARTH returns with its first new song in years and unleashes a war cry worthy of the gods – an unstoppable surge of galloping riffs, wave splitting melodies, and Viking fury. Produced with the help of Grammy-nominated producer and mix engineer Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Arch Enemy, The Black Dahlia Murder, Katatonia), this is more than a song – it’s a sonic raid, carved from salt and steel, echoing across oceans. Modern metal doesn’t get more epic, or more essential, than this.
The video for “We Rule The Waves,” shot in Riga, Latvia, continues the band’s collaboration with Pavel Trebukhin of Tre Film, who directed the band’s “The Great Heathen Army,” “Heidrun,” and “Saxons & Vikings” videos.
The band comments, “‘We Rule The Waves’ is our tribute to the spirit of freedom, brotherhood, and the will to conquer – not just lands, but your own limitations. It’s about standing tall with your clan, facing the storm head-on, and carving your mark into the world like a Viking longship through blackened seas.”

From pole to pole and sea to sea, AMON AMARTH are the undisputed kings of Viking heavy metal. Formed in Tumba, Sweden, in 1992, they have forged an extraordinary legacy over three decades of thunderous, anthemic metal, all rich in the magical imagery of Viking history, folklore, and culture.
From their underground smash debut Once Sent From The Golden Hall (1998) onwards, AMON AMARTH have been an unstoppable creative force. With a unique and unmistakable sound that combines the best of several epic strains of metal, the quintet have become renowned for their ageless anthems and explosive, theatrical live shows. With albums like 2008’s widely acclaimed Twilight Of The Thunder God and 2016’s conceptual triumph Jomsviking, the Swedes have been consistent standard bearers for heavy metal as a life-affirming and communal experience, armed with a seemingly endless stream of instant classic songs.
Now reaping the rewards of all those years of hard work, AMON AMARTH are now regarded as one of the metal world’s most vital and imperious live acts. From headlining festivals across Europe to claiming a place on Slayer‘s final tour of the US in 2019, they have honored the adventurous ethos of their Viking forebears by taking their music anywhere and everywhere.
One of the best-loved metal bands in the world, AMON AMARTH are firmly dedicated to aiming high when they hit the studio. Recorded with esteemed studio guru Andy Sneap at the controls, their most recent full-length, The Great Heathen Army, represents another bold leap forward for the band, as their trademark sound undergoes yet another skillful, evolutionary overhaul, both lyrically and musically. From the noisily rabble-rousing “Find A Way Or Make One” and the pummelling, pugilistic “Get In The Ring,” to the evocative fury of “Saxons & Vikings” and the cinematic squall of the title track, The Great Heathen Army encapsulates the essence of this legendary band, while still allowing acres of space for new ideas.

Walter Trout is on a hot-streak and he is channeling dissonance on his latest single, Sign Of The Times. This is the second single to be released from the album of the same name – out 5 September via Provogue. Pre-order / Stream Here
One of the most experimental cuts in Trout’s half-century studio output, it finds a monstrous guitar tone paired with massed chants and an out- there solo that few blues gods would dare put down on tape. “I’ve played it for blues fans who were outraged,” he admits. “But I wanted to outrage people. I wanted it to be dissonant. Dissonance is a sign of the times. The chant is supposed to be the repressed people of the world crying. I actually wrote it on an acoustic, but the final track is massive and John Avila had this nasty, growling bass sound. Marie had been inspired by watching Bob Dylan documentaries with me and every line of that is hers.”
“I had this song idea for a while. A part of it was a repeating melodic chant or moaning of people who are suffering. Almost like the crying of many people all at once. But even though I really wanted to do the song, I couldn’t quite get the words for it. One night Marie handed me a sheet of paper with lyrics that just fit the song perfectly. She didn’t even know about my song idea, but for some reason our minds collaborated on the song subconsciously. I put her lyrics to music, and ‘Sign of the Times’ was born. I feel that music and words make quite a statement about the world we live in, and therefore chose it as the title track.”
The new single follows Artificial, which dropped on the day he announced the new album. A scornful, satirical, harmonica-spiced rebuke of the fake world we risk creating. “We got artificial photos, artificial music, you could go on and on,” considers the bluesman. “I’m freaked out by AI. I read articles about how it’s gonna do all these wonderful things in the medical world. Then I hear Bill Gates say that eighty percent of jobs are gonna disappear. What happens then?”
In his half-century as a street-level social observer and scaldingly honest songwriter, blues-rock’s resilient icon Walter Trout has never told his fans what to think, how to feel, or where to stand politically. But in an era when his home nation – and the wider world – is ripping at the seams over the battlelines of modern life, the iconic US bluesman’s hard-rocking new album, Sign Of The Times, is a primal scream and pressure valve for all of us. “I wanted to reflect upon what’s going on in the world,” explains the 74-year-old. “For me, writing these songs is therapy. They’re not just about what’s happening out there, but how it affects you in your head. Sign Of The Times just became the obvious title…”
It feels like the amps have barely cooled from 2024’s Broken, which debuted on Billboard at #1. But the era-chronicling songs from Sign Of The Times wouldn’t wait, these urgent riffs flying off the guitarist’s fingers, assisted once again by Marie, Walter’s wife, manager and co-writer, who penned the lyrics for some of the tracks. “This album flowed pretty easily,” he reflects of the writing process. “I had so many song ideas and pages of lyrics from Marie. We could have kept going and made a triple album.”
With ten new songs written and arranged, Trout was ready to call up his studio band – longtime drummer Michael Leasure, bassist John Avila and keys man Teddy ‘Zig Zag’ Andreadis – for the recording sessions at Strawhorse Studios in Los Angeles.
Even by Trout’s standards, Sign Of The Times is a record that puts you through the emotional wringer. But as long as there’s poignant and relevant music, we have a fighting chance.
As a lifelong road warrior, Trout will be taking the Sign Of The Times material to global audiences throughout 2025. And for those glorious two hours of playing to audiences, political divides and culture wars will crumble as a crowd with little else common melts into a communion of souls.

Spanish rock band Strangers share today their new single and official visualizer video “Still The One”, taken from the upcoming studio album, entitled “Boundless”, out on August 22nd, 2025, via Frontiers Music Srl.
The band commented: “Still The One” is a heavy and powerful track, featuring strong guitars and high energy throughout. It highlights our intense hard rock style”.
Describing the new album, they added: “Boundless” represents a powerful new chapter for us: louder, bolder, and more intense than ever. The album marks a clear evolution in our sound: heavier and more energetic yet deeply rooted in emotional melodies. Tracks like “Still The One” and “Worth A Shot” perfectly embrace our new fresh identity, modern, powerful, and full of attitude”.
Strangers, born in Madrid in 2012, was founded by Miguel Martin and Abel Ramos. Strangers have recorded and published three studio albums; “Emotions” (2013), “Survival” (2015) mixed and mastered by Erik Martensson and “Brand New Start” (2019) mastered by Dave Donnelly in Los Angeles.
After some lineup changes, Strangers decided to join forces with Celia Barloz as frontwoman. Celia, in addition to be a brilliant vocal coach, had already been collaborating with the band as backing vocals in live shows and some recorded vocals on “Brand New Start”.
As a talented frontwoman, Celia Barloz will be inspiring a new generation with her passion, determination, and undeniable talent. With a beautiful and heartwarming voice, Celia’s journey is only beginning, and the future of rock music looks brighter with each note she sings.
Strangers recorded their most recent EP, “Whispers” in KV62 Studios, mixed and mastered by Andy C. during Summer 2023.
