For fans of: Alcest, Enslaved, Falkenbach, Vintersorg
In the fall of 2020, Jörgen “Jurg” Ström (ex-Skineater, ex-Omnicidal, ex-Rimfrost) decided it was time to breathe life into a new musical vision. When walking through the forest, he was struck with inspiration from the beauty of northern nature and the haunting melodies of bands like Alcest, Dissection, and Katatonia. The name Jord emerged organically, and with it, the project’s first songs began to blossom.
Jurg‘s ambitious goal was clear: to create three albums capturing the distinctive sound he envisioned. The debut album Sol materialized rapidly in 2021, and Jord kicked off as a solo endeavour. This pattern continued with Måne in 2022. The following year, Jurg felt his initial approach had reached its limits, and Jord started embracing full studio production on their third album Tundra.
That’s when Sebastian “Hravn” Svedlund (Rimfrost, Omnicidal, Sister Sin) joined the band on guitar, and Stefan “Jansson” Jansson (Omnicidal, ex-Devilicious) claimed the drum throne. Emellan Träden is the second fruit of the trio’s collaborative work.
Tracklist: 1. Stay 2. Hon Kallar 3. King of the Night 4. Dimma 5. Vid Muren 6. Prinsessan och Hästen 7. Den Brandgula Salen 8. The Grave and Chain 9. Bortom Tundran (CD Bonus Track)
Line-up: Jörgen “Jurg” Ström: Vocals, Bass, Guitars, Keyboards Sebastian “Hravn” Svedlund: Guitars Stefan “Jansson” Jansson: Drums
Finnish prog metal veterans Amorphis are back with “Bones”, a powerful next glimpse at their new studio album Borderland, set to drop on September 26, 2025.
Unlike the first single “Light And Shadow,” which leaned more into a hopeful tone,“Bones” dives into darker, heavier territory. Lyrically, the song explores the struggles for survival faced by early Finns, supported by crushing riffs, Eastern-inspired strings, and thick layers of keyboards – creating a sound that’s both intense and atmospheric.
In the chorus, Tomi Joutsen’s clean, emotionally charged vocals cut through the darkness with flashes of light and hope.
Keyboardist Santeri Kallio shares:
“As a starting point, I wanted to prove that even a keyboard player can create an AMORPHIS song which is based on a heavy riff, and to everyone’s surprise, ‘Bones’ turned out to be the heaviest “Borderland” song.”
Whether you want it on vinyl, in an Earbook edition, on CD, or with matching merch – you can now pre-order Borderland in our shop, here.
Melodic heavy metal force FRONT ROW WARRIORS celebrates the release of their much-acclaimed, sophomore studio album, entitled “Running Out Of Time”. Out now on CD, Vinyl and in Digital formats via ROAR, you can order your album copy at this location: https://frontrowwarriors.rpm.link/rootalbumPR
Founded in 2019, FRONT ROW WARRIORS has already caused quite a stir in 2023 with their debut “Wheel Of Fortune” and was showered with praise by critics. The German Rock and Pop Musicians Association even named the debut album „Hard Rock Album of the Year 2023“. The 80s hard rock, with a pinch of AOR and melodic metal from the 90s, went down fantastically straight away, which is not only due to singer Elkie Gee, who has a remarkable range and stands out from the crowd with her vocal color.
All of the band members in FRONT ROW WARRIORS are no strangers in the scene. Sorin Badin and Stef Binnig-Gollub on guitars are former musicians from Samsara and Septagon, while Richie Seibel, who is also a member of Ivanhoe and Them, plays the keys. The bass is played by Timo Michels (ex-Pump) and the drums by Jay G. (ex-Sharon). The band played a number of concerts and festivals in 2024 and performed on stage with the likes of Treat, Vicious Rumors, Riot V, Victory, Axxis and Shakra. Since March 2024, guitarist Dominik Barth (ex-Illusoria) has replaced Sorin Badin, who had to step back for family reasons, but has been working in the background on the studio and fine-tuning the songs.
Their new album “Running Out Of Time”, once again with none other than Achim Köhler (Primal Fear, Brainstorm a.o.) at the controls and co-produced by Michael Bormann, features some real bangers and impressively proves that the band also feels at home in metal. Lovers of delicate guitar and keyboard work as well as melodic hooks will get their money‘s worth, as will fans of the heavier genre. FRONT ROW WARRIORS once again skilfully play with the genres to produce a colorful bouquet of fabulous songs with guaranteed catchy tunes and surprising moments!

Today, esteemed rock vocalist and guitarist MIKE TRAMP is pleased to announce the release of his new album, ‘Songs of White Lion — Vol. III,’ due out on September 19th via Frontiers Music Srl. To celebrate the announcement, the lead single “Cherokee” is out now, accompanied by a music video, available below.
Mike comments on the track:
“Revisiting ‘Cherokee,’ one of the first songs Vito Bratta and I wrote in 1983, was so amazing, I always loved that song, and the new version only confirms what a great song it still is.”
MIKE TRAMP, the unmistakable voice and principal songwriter of White Lion, concludes his heartfelt trilogy with ‘Songs of White Lion — Vol. III,’ a powerful and deeply personal tribute to one of the most iconic bands of the 1980s melodic hard rock scene.
Tramp speaks on how this series of recordings came together:
“For me, the point of re-recording the old classic White Lion songs was all about letting the audience know HOW the band would sound if they come to see us live. Bringing the sound up today and away from a world no more. When I started with ‘Vol. I’ I must admit, I never thought I’d do ‘Vol. II’ and now ‘Vol. III.’ But having done it all now, makes all the more sense to me. If I have to be active playing White Lion in 2025 and onward, there’s got to be a natural progression in every way. That is exactly what this Trilogy is all about.
In this final installment, TRAMP revisits and reimagines ten more essential songs from the White Lion catalog, bringing them back to life with the passion, perspective, and authenticity that only decades of experience can deliver.
Once again backed by his trusted bandmates — Marcus Nand (guitar), Claus Langeskov (bass), and Morten Hellborn(drums) — TRAMP offers fresh but respectful renditions of these classic tracks, capturing their spirit while elevating them with a more refined, seasoned sound.
From the raw defiance of “Fight To Survive,” to the cinematic power of “Warsong,” and the infectious rhythm of “Radar Love,” this album is both a celebration and a reawakening.
Standing as more than a simple re-recording project, ‘Songs of White Lion — Vol. III’ is the emotional conclusion of a trilogy — a journey through time, memory, and music that connects the past to the present with integrity and fire.
This is not just a tribute, it’s MIKE TRAMP reclaiming and honoring his legacy.

Few modern rock bands balance raw intimacy and explosive power like Of Mice & Men. Today, the Southern California quartet announces their ninth studio album, Another Miracle, out November 14 via Century Media Records.
Written, produced, and engineered entirely by the band, Another Miracle finds Of Mice & Men at their most personal—and most expansive. Frontman Aaron Pauley also mixed and mastered the album himself, eschewing the hiring of a big name producer for a more personal and intimate approach to their art. As a legion of devoted listeners worldwide has come to expect, the band poured their hearts into every note, creating a powerful reflection of their lived experiences.
Of Mice & Men say, ”we’re excited to be sharing our new album, Another Miracle, with you all. It’s been a long time in the making, and the cumulation of countless hours of collaboration and hard work. We hope that our fans, old and new, will really enjoy it since we’ve not only raised the bar on the melodic side, we’ve also doubled down on the heaviness all over the album and made what we feel is an incredibly strong and authentic representation of who Of Mice & Men is in 2025. We want to thank our fans for the years of support. We’re incredibly proud of Another Miracle, and we hope you enjoy the album as much as we’ve enjoyed making it.”
Today OM&M also drop the album’s newest single, “Wake Up,” which captures the album’s spirit of fearless experimentation. It’s one of those rare moments where the “x factor” revealed itself early, channeling the urgency, vulnerability, and creative spark that drives Another Miracle from start to finish. The band says, “With ‘Wake Up’ we specifically aimed to pair the more delicate & almost shoegazey sounds of 90’s alternative acoustic classics with a sonically modern & heavier Of Mice & Men approach. Lyrically, it’s a call to consciousness and presence while juxtaposing the imperative to live in the here and now with dreamlike metaphoric imagery.” They once again teamed with director MIke Matsui for the video and further note, “Is this a music video or a transcendental experience?! We may never know, but visionary director Mike Matsui really brought out the divine majesty with this one. We shot the video at an awesome location in San Francisco and Mike and his team were really able to capture the dreamlike aesthetic of the song. Also, we don’t think anyone’s ever played a breakdown in that church before, so we’re pretty sure we made history!”

Icons of goth and doom, PARADISE LOST have revealed the second single, ‘Serpent on the Cross,’ from their long-awaited, 17th album Ascension that’s out September 19th from Nuclear Blast Records.
Commenting on the song, vocalist Nick Holmes says: “The cross represents stability, prosperity, hope and happiness. The serpent represents trepidation, anguish and overbearing sadness, lurking in the shadows ready to take everything away.”
PARADISE LOST’s first album in 5 years, following 2020’s critically acclaimed Obsidian, was produced by guitarist Gregor Mackintosh and mixed/mastered by Lawrence Mackrory. Ascension is a testament to the band’s longevity and relevance over their 35+ year career, encompassing their signature styles of gothic, death and doom fans have cherished along the way.
Ascension’s album cover fittingly features the painting The Court of Death (1870-1902) by renowned British artist George Frederic Watts, which hangs in the Tate Gallery in London. The painting depicts Death as an enthroned angel flanked by allegorical figures of Silence and Mystery guarding sunrise and the star of hope, while a warrior surrenders his sword and a duke his coronet, showing that worldly status offers no protection. The painting’s bleak, prophetic vision embodies Ascension’s dark, tormented soundscapes as mournful verses collide with dire, foreboding riffs.
Commenting on the record, Holmes states: “Ascension is a cavalcade of molten misery, a vigorous sorrow filled stroll through a wicked world of glorious triumph and pitiful tragedy.”
PARADISE LOST are currently performing at festivals across Europe and will embark on the first leg of the “Ascension of Europe” tour this fall. Tickets are available at https://paradiselost.co.uk/tour-dates/.
