Finnish thrash metal juggernauts BLOODRIDE present the adrenaline-charged music video for their latest single, “Erase and Replace” — a blazing taste of what’s to come on their upcoming full-length Deafening, set for release on 25 July 2025 via Wormholedeath.
“Erase and Replace” rips through the illusion of modern progress with razor-sharp riffs, venomous vocals, and dystopian fury. It’s a no-holds-barred assault on digital mind control, conformity, and the slow erasure of humanity in the face of soulless automation. Fusing insane speed and aggression with groove-laden mid-tempos and razor-edged melodies, the track is both a sonic onslaught and a warning cry from the digital void.
The video — edited by Tomi Niemelä, with footage provided by Thrashing Madness — captures Bloodride’s raw live energy, transporting the viewer straight to the heart of their onstage chaos.
With Deafening, Bloodride continues their relentless mission to deliver unapologetic, old-school-infused thrash with a cutting-edge edge, and “Erase and Replace” sets the tone with unrelenting power.
The band will be taking that very fury to the stage across Finland and Europe in the coming months. Catch Bloodride live on the following dates:

Following an acclaimed return to their ferocious Industrial Metal roots via 2024 album “Black Noise“, BONG-RA – led by Dutch visionary Jason Köhnen (THE KILIMANJARO DARKJAZZ ENSEMBLE, THE LOVECRAFT SEXTET) – takes to the stage for a substantial run. After a series of select performances as a trio in early 2025, the avant-garde pioneers now announce a 14-date European tour alongside mechanical juggernaut AUTHOR & PUNISHER.
“AUTHOR & PUNISHER and BONG-RA have a history together and go back more than a decade when BONG-RA also supported A&P on their first EU tour, which lead to BONG-RA remixing A&P‘s ‘Terrorbird‘ and ‘Flesh Ants‘ tracks back in 2014. On this tour BONG-RA will perform as a duo, instead of the regular trio. Due to personal reasons guitarist Botond Fogl is not able to join the tour, therefore Attila Kovacs will take both guitar parts for his account. The A&P tour will contain some more breakcore parts to it, seeing the remix album will be released on DMP early September, so these compositions will appear in the live set.“
Experience BONG-RA‘s haunting “Black Noise” below and on all major streaming platforms. The album is available on CD and vinyl via DMP’s EU, US, and Bandcamp stores.
Jason Köhnen began his musical journey in 1988 as the vocalist/bassist for BLUUURGH…, an underground Dutch Crust/Death Metal/Grindcore band. Following the release of an EP and LP, in 1991 he founded the Death-Doom band CELESTIAL SEASON, gaining widespread recognition as a prominent name in the genre outside the renowned ‘Peaceville 3′.
In 1996, Köhnen shifted from Metal to electronic music, creating the project BONG-RA and pioneering the intense Breakcore genre of electronica. His 1998 debut album led to a Peel Session in 2002, and established BONG-RA as one of the first acts to fuse Extreme Metal with electronics. The experimentation deepened with releases like the 2007 “Grindkrusher” EP, featuring BOLT THROWER samples, and collaborative releases with noise artist Maruosa in DEATHSTORM and the neo-classical Doom project WHITE DARKNESS.
Beyond BONG-RA, Kohnen co-founded THE KILIMANJARO DARKJAZZ ENSEMBLE and later THE MOUNT FUJI DOOMJAZZ CORPORATION, releasing a series of cult albums up to 2013. Over his 30-year career, he has collaborated with notable artists such as VENETIAN SNARES and IGORRR, performed at major festivals including Glastonbury and Dour, and toured globally, sharing the stage with legendary acts like APHEX TWIN, MINISTRY and THE PRODIGY.
After a brief hiatus, during which BONG-RA explored Doom, Electronica and Jazz – including via 2018’s “Antediluvian” and 2022’s “Meditations” – Köhnen is now returning to his Metal and Grindcore roots. A deal with Debemur Morti Productions, also home to his Doomjazz project THE LOVECRAFT SEXTET, has been reached.
BONG-RA now prepares for a new era as a live three-piece featuring guitarists Attila Kovacs and Botond Fogl. This freshly rejuvenated vehicle for Metal/breaks fusion did debut in early 2025 with a new record “Black Noise” and an upcoming tour.

I’m going to do a special Iron Maiden X- factor set in November (2025) for those shows I booked. 10 shows in 10 countries and I’m going to play the X factor completely. “

Finnish Industrial Metal band Alfa Pentatonik (Formed in 2002 as Pentatonik) released a new single and music video ‘Kone yskii’ from their forthcoming Gamma II EP which is set to be unleased on July 18th 2025 via Inverse Records.
The band comments: “The video single ‘Kone yskii’ is one of the band’s most ‘pop’ songs, and we joke that it could be an ‘Eurovision’ entry. In this catchy song, we follow humankind’s last survivor: a cyborg who has forgotten what it means to be human.”
Alfa Pentatonik (formerly Pentatonik) plays heavy Finnish industrial metal. Formed in the early 2000s, the band has released two albums and numerous other releases. The band returned in 2022 with a new name and singles. They are now releasing a sequel to their latest “Gamma I” EP. The new release is called Gamma II.
The band’s mastermind is JP Immonen (Walhalla, Aria of Sorrow, Iron Frost), who plays all the instruments, writes the songs, and handles production. The second member of the band is Janne Partanen (Hautajaisyö, Verilehto, Marraskuun Lapset, Paavalin Harhat), who writes the lyrics and sings. ‘Gamma II’ continues in the same vein as its predecessor. Hard and heavy guitars are mixed with dark vocals and almost dance beats. Sami Lindqvist joins the release to play guitar solos and backing vocals. Harri Hytönen from ‘Gamma I’ also plays a few guitar solos. Dystopian samples from an interview with Yrjö Kallinen (1971) are the icing on the cake for this new Finnish industrial metal/industrial thrash metal release.

Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Lynyrd Skynyrd teamed with Brent Smith of Shinedown for a live version of their iconic hit, “Simple Man.” The new single and music video is the third release from their upcoming live album and DVD, “Celebrating 50 Years – Live At The Ryman” (Frontiers Music SRL) – which spectacularly captures the legendary southern rock band’s historic 50th-anniversary concert at Nashville’s legendary venue.
The new release will be available everywhere on June 27, 2025. Pre-Order on 2CD/DVD, Blu-Ray or a double LP here: https://ffm.to/lsryman50
The new album stands as a celebration of Lynyrd Skynyrd’s lasting legacy in music history and showcases the band’s unparalleled energy and their signature blend of blues rock and Southern hard rock swagger. Special guests on the album include Jelly Roll, Marcus King, John Osborne (The Brothers Osborne), Brent Smith (Shinedown), and Donnie Van Zant (Van Zant & .38 Special).
This special release holds profound significance as it features the final performance of founding member Gary Rossington. Less than five months before his passing in March of 2023, Rossington — the last surviving original member of Lynyrd Skynyrd — expressed an earnest hope that the band’s music would continue to be performed even after he wasn’t around. And just as they’ve done for over 50 years, the band remains a driving force in rock, honoring their roots while bringing their signature sound to new audiences.
With over 28 million records sold in the U.S. and a sound as iconic as the American culture it celebrates, Lynyrd Skynyrd continues to inspire fans of all ages while embodying the very soul of Southern rock. From their humble Jacksonville beginnings, through tragedy, reunion, and redemption, the band has earned its place on Rolling Stone’s list of the “100 Greatest Artists of All Time” – as well as a prominent spot in the hearts of generations.
Originally formed in 1964 as My Backyard, the band evolved into Lynyrd Skynyrd in 1968, with a lineup featuring Ronnie Van Zant (vocals), Gary Rossington (guitar), Allen Collins (guitar), Larry Junstrom (bass), and Bob Burns (drums). Their 1973 debut album introduced the world to their unmistakable blend of blues, country, and hard rock. Hits like “Sweet Home Alabama” and the timeless “Free Bird” cemented their status as pioneers of the genre.
At the peak of their success, in 1977, a devastating plane crash claimed the lives of lead singer Ronnie Van Zant, guitarist Steve Gaines, and backup vocalist Cassie Gaines, leaving the music world in shock. Despite the unimaginable loss, Lynyrd Skynyrd’s legacy endured, and their music remained a beacon of Southern rock.
In 1987, the band reformed with Ronnie’s younger brother, Johnny Van Zant, taking over as lead vocalist. Lynyrd Skynyrd continued to tour and record, with guitarist Rickey Medlocke returning to the fold in 1996. Though founding member Gary Rossington’s passing in 2023 marked the end of an era, Lynyrd Skynyrd’s influence remains stronger than ever. Their enduring music, spirit, and legacy will forever stand as a testament to the power of rock and roll.
“Y’know, when we started this band…we always wanted to be in front of people hearing our songs,” Rossington explained while in Nashville for the live recording at the Ryman, which turned out to be his final performance with the band. “I want our music to endure because I’ve seen people…when they don’t play anymore, they kind of fade away and people quit talking about them. You don’t hear their songs or see their image on the Internet or anything. We wanted to stay around. That was our dream, for the band to play and play our music and let that be heard.”
Adds Medlocke: “Gary expressed many times his wishes that the music didn’t perish with him, that the legacy of the music would continue, not just on the radio or TV or in soundtracks but for the band to take it to the fans, go out and make sure that we delivered it 100 percent. That’s what we do.”
