Swedish thrash pioneers and purveyors THE HAUNTED continue to scorch the earth with their upcoming tenth studio album, ‘Songs of Last Resort,’ to be released worldwide on May 30, 2025 via longtime partners Century Media Records. The band is now unleashing the blistering new single, “In Fire Reborn,” along with a music video, which was directed by Patric Ullaeus / (In Flames, Arch Enemy, Dimmu Borgir, etc.). The clip can be found at THIS LOCATION.
THE HAUNTED vocalist Marco Aro comments about the track, “This is the second single off the album ‘Songs of Last Resort.’ The song is called ‘In Fire Reborn’ and it’s a more classic THE HAUNTED sounding song with the aggression turned up to 11…just in case you missed the memo on our previous single!”
Guitarist Jensen adds, “A classic THE HAUNTED 6/8 beat song. I wrote the start, verses and ending of the song, but it wasn’t until Jonas wrote the chorus when ‘In Fire Reborn’ really bloomed out. I believe this could also easily become a fan favorite, just like it has become one of the band’s favorite songs on the album. The lyrics are, just like with ‘Warhead,” also along the topic of war, but this time from a soldier’s perspective.”
The previously released video for the album’s opening track, “Warhead,” can still be seen HERE.
With music recorded by Oscar Nilsson at Studio Bohus, main vocals recorded by Björn Strid at The Cellar Studio, ‘Songs of Last Resort’ was then mixed and mastered by Jens Bogren at Fascination Street Studios (Kreator, Arch Enemy, Sepultura, etc). Artwork was once again provided by longtime visual collaborator Andreas “Diaz” Pettersson. Pre-orders are now live HERE.

Black Majesty has released a lyric video for “Dragon Lord”, first single taken from the new album “Oceans Of Black” to be released on June 20 by Scarlet Records.
A noble man, betrayed and cursed, is cast into the depths of the underworld. In the fiery pits of hell, he discovers a newfound power, reborn with the spirit of the dragon. Rising with the fury of a storm, he unleashes fire upon the night sky, igniting it with his wrath. Now, as the Dragon Lord, he will bring terror to those who stand against him.

Throughout their journey, Black Majesty has played numerous live shows across Australia, including headline performances and tours with some of the world’s biggest metal acts, such as Helloween, Saxon, Blind Guardian, DragonForce, Symphony X, Edguy, and Paul Di’Anno, among many others. The band has also made its mark in Asia and Europe, performing at iconic festivals like Wacken Open Air, Masters Of Rock, and Headbangers Open Air, alongside numerous club shows, both as support and headliners.

The new album of the Aussie veterans takes the listener far and wide, and yet stays firmly true to the classic power metal code. Perfect in time before Walpurghis Night, when rituals will take place, the Swedish thrash metal force MEZZROW returns with a unique cover version of the GHOST classic “Ritual”!
While the song coincidentally drops at the same time as the release of GHOST’s new album, MEZZROW frontman Uffe Pettersson reveals: ”It’s always special when it comes to cover versions. It would be a natural thing for us to do a cover of a Vio-lence tune or perhaps something from Forbidden’s old catalogue. But too predictable! So we set our sights on something Swedish and more unusual. ”Ritual” is an old Ghost-classic and kind of a cult song from their first album. From our point of view it was a perfect song to turn into a thrashy track and it’s quite catchy with a strong chorus. You can also detect a resemblance in the lyrics for all of us who are fans of the Omen movies. Enjoy!”
“Ritual” was mixed by Ronnie Björnström (Meshuggah a.o.) and was mastered by Tomas ”Plec” Johansson (Watain a.o.). Once again, this enthralling cover version showcases the diversity of MEZZROW. Stream it now on all digital services at: https://mezzrow.rpm.link/ritualPR
MEZZROW built themselves a name in the thrash metal scene during the late eighties with their critically acclaimed demo tapes, “Frozen Soul” and “Cross of Tormention”. In 1990, they released their classic debut album “Then Came the Killing” through Active Records (Candlemass a.o.), a subsidiary of Music for Nations. The album is still today considered as one of the best, if not the best, thrash metal releases from Sweden and Scandinavia.
During 2021 MEZZROW rose from the ashes, when bass player Conny Welén (ex-Hexenhaus) and singer Uffe Pettersson (ex-Rosicrucian) decided to make a new mark in the thrash metal world of today, together with new guitarists Magnus Söderman (Nightrage) and Ronnie Björnström (ex-Defiatory, ex-Aeon), as well as drummer Alvaro “Alvis” Svanerö (Imperial Domain). Following their comeback album “Summon Thy Demons” (2023, Fireflash Records) and the much-acclaimed ”Keep It True – Live” record, MEZZROW are currently busy writing new material for a next album to be released in the hopefully not so distant future through ROAR. Twelve new songs are now ready for recording and this process has slightly begun. As new track releases, such as the previously-shared “As Fear Unfolds” (listen HERE!) or today’s premiere of “Ritual”, fans can expect a killer album with high intense Bay Area thrash with a Swedish melodic touch. 2025 – get ready for some new MEZZROW Thrash Metal!

Twenty damn years. That’s how long HELL:ON has been tearing it up from the heart of Ukraine – through lineup shifts, label drama, and now an actual war. No trends chased, no compromises made. Just full-tilt death metal, carved out of chaos and conviction. What started as a pissed-off underground unit in the early 2000s has grown into a battle-hardened machine that never took a break, never cleaned it up for the mainstream, and never needed to. HELL:ON is still here – loud, ugly, and absolutely vital.
“Today we celebrate 20th anniversary of the band. And one thing we can say for sure… we are still alive and we still playing death metal!” – says the band
As part of the 20-year chaos, HELL:ON just dropped a live video from their set at Metal Injection’s Slay At Home fest – raw, loud, and exactly how it should be:
Hell:on was formed in early 2005 in Zaporizhzhia, Eastern Ukraine. Hell:on plays death metal with oriental and tribal elements. The band’s lyrics generally deal with mysticism, philosophy, and anti-religion. During the recordings of previous albums, the band has worked with Andreas Kisser, Jeff Waters, Andy LaRocque, and Marek Pajak. In 2019, the band was nominated as the Best Ukrainian Metal Act and has shared the stage with Rotting Christ, Kreator, Marduk, Napalm Death, etc.
In 2024, HELL:ON dropped their seventh full-length, Shaman (via Archivist Records) – and it didn’t go unnoticed, showing up on heavy album-of-the-year lists worldwide.
May 30, 2025, will see Swedish sludge and groove metal force CAREGAH reissue their highly anticipated debut album, ”Osmium”, self-released by the band in 2023, now through their new label partner ROAR!
”Osmium” will be available on CD, Vinyl and Digital, visit https://caregah.rpm.link/osmiumpr to pre-order your favorite format of choice. Also, a music video for the band’s latest, haunting single “Tombstone” is now premiering below!
Marcus Kärregård (vocals, guitar) comments: “I wrote this song many, many years ago and have played it for myself from time to time. I actually like to let the listener form their own opinion of all the songs Caregah releases, but if you want to know my insight into the song, it’s about longing for something/someone and loneliness but when you’re among other people. There are many perspectives here…so I’ll let everyone decide for themselves what Tombstone is for them.”
Hailing from Southeast Sweden, CAREGAH is a no-nonsense, full-throttle heavy, sludgy groove metal band. Their music has a captivating quality, keeping you engaged throughout every performance and track. Formed in 2019, CAREGAH introduced themselves to the world with their much-acclaimed debut EP, ”Forsaken EP” featuring a music video for the track ”Tomahawk”. This Ep will now be reissued as a bonus on the new CD version of “Osmium”!
Their music is a fantastic blend of groove, doom, and sludge metal, ultimately delivering a straightforward, headbanging-heavy metal experience. Their live performances are a whirlwind of high-energy moments that will leave your neck sore from all the headbanging.
Sweden Rock Magazine gave “Osmium” 8 out of 10 points, and a perfect 10/10 highscore came from Metal-Head.de, attesting: “CAREGAH have forged a massive piece of metal with “OSMIUM”. It’s like riding a steel wrecking ball or surfing a monster wave. You are swept along mercilessly. It’s massive! It’s hard! And it rocks! An absolute direct hit!“
Dive deep into “Osmium” and experience a massive wall of sound from CAREGAH, which are currently working on their follow-up record, always driven and inspired by the power of the riff. If your musical tastes align with Down, Pantera, Black Label Society, Testament, and Sepultura, then CAREGAH is a band that you’re sure to fall in love with!
