French Symphonic Metallians HARTLIGHT dropped new Music Video, “The City Of Tears”, a song from the new album “The Triumph of Metal”!
HARTLIGHT say about: “‘The City Of Tears’ is an immersion in the ruins of a city nestling atop a cliff, protected by dark woods and downpours. It echoes the inner temple submerged in tears and its capacity to become a refuge built on vulnerability. It reminds us that we can all create our own foundations set in stone and let happy memories flow into our rivers and purify the dirty waters.”
Artistic Direction by Noémie Marie assisted by Adrien Djouadou
The new album title references the Metal musical style in itself as well as the alchemical book of basile valentin: “The triumphal chariot of Antimony”. Antimony is a metalloid stone that is believed to be used in alchemy to produce the philosopher’s stone [ learn more here» ]
BLACK MAJESTY has signed a multi-album deal with Scarlet Records and will release the new album “Oceans Of Black” on June 20.
Hailing from Melbourne, Australia, and formed in 2002, Black Majesty is a bonafide power metal institution. Over the years, they’ve released seven full-length albums and one best-of compilation, establishing themselves as a force within the genre. Throughout their journey, Black Majesty has played numerous live shows across Australia, including headline performances and tours with some of the world’s biggest metal acts, such as Helloween, Saxon, Blind Guardian, DragonForce, Symphony X, Edguy, and Paul Di’Anno, among many others. The band has also made its mark in Asia and Europe, performing at iconic festivals like Wacken Open Air, Masters Of Rock, and Headbangers Open Air, alongside numerous club shows, both as support and headliners.
With soaring melodic vocals & catchy hooks, a ferocious twin axe attack and a thunderous rhythm section to match, “Oceans Of Black” is a power metal voyage through fear, corruption, hope, strength, resilience and triumph. The new album of the Aussie veterans takes the listener far and wide, and yet stays firmly true to the classic power metal code. A fearless ride through darkness and despair – hope and strength are always just behind the corner for those who dare to reach for it. A journey only for the brave, “Oceans Of Black” knows no fear or self-doubt: roll the dice, live your life and stay true to yourself!
Back with a vengeance, Black Majesty is now ready to bring their signature sound to fans worldwide once again.

The official soundtrack for the critically acclaimed game Reignbreaker is out now! Featuring ten powerful tracks, the album blends cinematic depth with raw intensity – a perfect match for the dark, rebellious world it was created for.
Developed by German game studio Studio Fizbin and released for PC on March 18, Reignbreaker is a bold and visually striking action adventure. Players step into the role of Clef – a former child soldier turned anarchist rebel – fighting back against a brutal regime. Deep within the gothic sprawl of the Queen’s domain, Clef must battle high-tech medieval machines, loot the strongholds of the elite, and dismantle the system from within.
The music is composed by Berlin-based artists Markus Zierhofer and Jeremy Vincent Froböse. With backgrounds in both classical composition and modern sound design, their work spans projects for Netflix, Sony, Tencent and more. Zierhofer is the founder of AudioCreatures, a game audio studio where Froböse is Co-Owner and CTO. Guitars are performed by Nicolas Heese, with mixing by Zierhofer and Froböse, and mastering by Tom Scheponik.
The soundtrack is released by Norwegian label Sounds Like Gold.

“Morgue Rat” is the latest single from Swedish death metal behemoths, LIK. The track, which features guest vocals by Linnea Landstedt (Tyranex, Ice Age), appears on the band’s impending fourth full-length album, Necro, set for release on April 18th via Metal Blade Records.
Comments vocalist/guitarist Tomas Åkvik, “The crushing ‘Morgue Rat,’ a song partly inspired by infamous Californian necrophiliac Karen Greenlee, features the demonic vocal talents of Linnea Landstedt. It’s a heavy, groovy song about a mortician who can’t keep her fingers away from the dead. It’s also our first track ever with clean-ish guitars.”
Watch LIK‘s previously released video for “War Praise” HERE.
Within Necro‘s ten tracks, LIK – whose name translates to “corpse” in Swedish – has created a seamless album, diverse in tempo but without losing any of their blood-soaked intensity and relentless in-your-face-attitude listeners have come to expect. There are twists and turns that keep LIK on a progressive path without straying from their old-school trademark sounds inspired by the godfathers Dismember, At The Gates and, of course, Entombed.
Necro is the musical equivalent of a classic shock-horror movie that’s drenched in blood and gore and packed with over-the-top extremities. Delve beyond the zombified cover art created by Stockholm-based tattooist and artist Jens Olsson (Ink Fanatics), LIK‘s Necro serves as a reminder of just how special and exciting the genre is: packed with blood-curdling fantasy stories about war, death, zombies, world apocalypse, and murder all stacked with disgustingly-good rotten riffs.
Necro was recorded at NBS Studio (AKA Necromorbus Studio) in Söderfors, two hours from the band’s home city. Once again using uber-producer Lawrence Mackrory (Meshuggah, Katatonia, High Parasite, Decapitated), all music was recorded live over a three-day period, before Åkvik headed to Uppsala to record his vocals at Mackrory’s Rorysound Studios. Mackrory has worked with LIK since their 2015 debut Mass Funeral Evocation and throughout their Metal Blade Records’ career that started with 2018’s Carnage. It’s clear upon first listen that with Necro, the quartet have produced some of the best work of their decade-plus long career.
In addition to Linnea Landstedt, Necro features guest appearances by Nick Holmes (Paradise Lost, Bloodbath), and Lawrence Mackrory (F.K.Ü.).

Modern metal stars TETRARCH recently announced their massive upcoming third album, The Ugly Side Of Me, scheduled for release on May 9, 2025 via Napalm Records. Featuring needle-sharp production co-produced by Dave Otero, Diamond Rowe and Josh Fore, The Ugly Side Of Me boasts unrelenting brutality, catchiness and songwriting mastery.
Following the album’s first singles “Never Again (Parasite)” (“a sturdy showing of melody and muscle” – Knotfest) and “Live Not Fantasize” (“positively booming” – Revolver), TETRARCH have just dropped their latest anthem, the melodic hit “Cold”. The track is carefully injected with an intricate guitar solo from newly-minted first female Jackson Guitars signature artist Diamond Rowe, and wrestles with intense lyrical themes of self-doubt and toxic relationship cycles.
The single also arrives alongside the band’s announcement of new European tour dates, including stops in Germany, Spain and more. See below for a full listing, and stay tuned for more dates being added soon!
Diamond Rowe of TETRARCH offers about “Cold”: “’Cold’ was one of those songs that came together pretty fast. It was one of the first songs that we wrote for the record and once we started building the textures, leads and vocals it really came to life. I feel like it’s kind of a nod to our Freak album as it has that energetic four on the floor beat with glitchy and creepy guitar textures.
While writing this song, we kept throwing around the word “insecure”. Insecurity is such an uncomfortable emotion to have and it easily became the lyrical direction for this track.
I also can’t wait to play this one live. I think everyone is going to go nuts.”
After four years of intensely focused growth, TETRARCH is poised to top the multi-millions of cross-platform streams and views of their addictive singles and high-energy videos, frequent playlisting via Spotify, Apple and others, mainstream top 40 Active Rock radio blitzes, attention from major media like Billboard, Revolver, Alternative Press, Guitar World, Kerrang! and Metal Hammer, and international tours supporting legendary artists Sevendust, Atreyu and beyond.
If there is any question as to whether a band can push the confines of metal and hard rock in to the future, TETRARCH are the answer. Combining energetic modern musical aggression and lyrical honesty with colossal choruses and unforgettable melodies, TETRARCH appeal to fans both in and outside of the metal scene, providing newcomers a gateway into heavy music.
TETRARCH’s Napalm Records debut, Unstable (2021), received massive critical acclaim. Its debut single, “I’m Not Right”, cracked the Mediabase Active Rock Top 30 and has garnered over 15 million combined cross-platform streams to date. Follow up single “You Never Listen” later went on to receive keen support from SiriusXM, HardDrive, Full Metal Jackie and many more of the country’s leading active rock outlets.
Among its perfectly crafted 10 tracks, new album The Ugly Side Of Me cuts like 90s industrial-injected single “Live Not Fantasize” – which premiered via SiriusXM Liquid Metal upon its release alongside Diamond Rowe’s Jackson Guitars signature launch – thrill with intense electronic flourishes, quick riffage and dynamic, spine-tingling guitar solos. Anthemic second single “Never Again (Parasite)” – featuring the standout vocal debut of Diamond Rowe – carefully balances thick grooves and massive atmosphere with deep-cutting lyricism and the mulit-faceted vocal breadth of frontman Josh Fore. Tracks like album opener “Anything Like Myself” showcase the hypnotizing, crushing metallic brilliance of the band while flirting with Josh Fore’s intense screams and Ruben Limas’ punching drums, while the likes of “Best Of Luck” stand tall with the rhythmic basslines of Ryan “Dooms” Lerner and Rowe’s inventive riff artistry. Profound melodic bangers like “Erase” and “Cold” are injected with intricate guitar solos, while “Headspace” and “The Only Thing I’ve Got” thrust the vital, brooding elements of TETRARCH into the forefront. Each track succeeds with lyrical themes of facing our own darkest criticisms – embracing the healing notion that what we feel others may see as our worst traits actually define the greatest aspects of our individuality.
Metal is practically begging for its next wave of genre frontrunners, and with one listen it’s clear – TETRARCH lead the charge.
The Ugly Side Of Me track listing: 1. Anything Like Myself 2. Never Again (Parasite) 3. Live Not Fantasize 4. Erase 5. The Only Thing I’ve Got 6. Best of Luck 7. Crawl 8. Cold 9. Headspace 10. The Ugly Side of Me
