Italian MANILA HEMP continue their musical evolution with ‘Oblivion’, the new single available today on all digital platforms through Volcano Records.
After captivating audiences with their solid post-grunge sound, Manila Hemp push beyond the boundaries of their inspiration with a track that blends alternative, electronic, and psychedelic influences, while maintaining an intense and electrifying energy.
Oblivion is a dreamlike journey that takes the listener into a suspended dimension between dream and reality, where time dissolves and the past becomes a distant shadow. A song about rebirth, liberation, and the inner strength needed to let go of pain and embrace new possibilities. The single is accompanied by a visually powerful and evocative concept video, available on YouTube, which enhances the song’s emotional impact through cryptic imagery with strong symbolic meaning.

Hungarian thrash-death metal titans ATROX TRAUMA are back with a crushing new music video for “Demolish Them All”, taken from their highly anticipated second album, Where Death Hunts, set for release on April 18, 2025, via WormHoleDeath Records.
“Slowly losing myself Get lost in the maze of my mind Thousand voices, thoughts much more Demolish them all… and build again… That’s enough! Leave ’em…”
The track’s immersive 360° video—filmed entirely uncut in a haunting forest—invites fans to plunge into a disorienting labyrinth of sound and vision, mirroring the song’s lyrical descent into psychological chaos.
With ‘Demolish Them All,’ ATROX TRAUMA invites you into their world of uncompromising speed, precision, and raw power. Will you step inside?
Founded in 2008, ATROX TRAUMA has been a relentless force in the underground metal scene, fusing thrash aggression with death metal brutality. After two early EPs and years of live devastation, the band’s momentum surged in 2019, leading to widespread touring. Their debut LP, On The Line Of Nothing And Something (2022, WormHoleDeath), showcased their crushing intensity, amplified by four official music videos. By the end of 2024, Atrox Trauma had stormed stages across multiple countries and completed their ferocious second album, Where Death Hunts.
“The Noble Rot” is the savage new single from London-based Sardinian black-death metal band COGAS. The song, now streaming exclusively at Decibel Magazine, is the latest single preceding the band’s sophomore album, “Among the Dead: How to Become a Ghost”, due out April 24th 2025.
True to their DIY ethos, COGAS have once again taken full control of the creative and production process, shaping a record that is as raw and honest as it is intense and intricate. This new release pushes their sound into more technical and structured territories while maintaining a striking melodic thread that enhances the album’s deeply tragic concept.
With a violent yet precise riff-oriented approach and an unmistakable emotional intensity, COGAS deliver their most complete work to date. The album masterfully balances cold, sorrowful black metal atmospheres with a relentlessly powerful death metal rhythmic backbone, creating a dynamic interplay between melancholic melodies and sheer sonic force. This fusion of aggression and melody results in a dark and immersive experience that sets a new milestone in their artistic evolution.
The band commented:
“With this album, we give voice and sound to the pain of those who have been lost in the postcard-perfect hell called Sardinia. Generational traumas—past, present, and future—are told through the wounds, both physical and spiritual, of an ordinary young man.
‘Among the Dead: How to Become a Ghost’ is our necessity and will to bring Sardinian extreme metal towards a bitter truth, setting aside the themes that have stagnantly plagued our musical world for too many years, in order to shed light on subjects we consider closer to reality.
Our album is the black shroud of suicidal death—mental and physical—of hundreds of young people from our island. An island we so proudly flaunt as a monument to our virtues, when in reality, the virtues we boast about are nothing more than words carried away by the September mistral.
Thus, we dedicate this latest Opus to the souls who are losing themselves in our homeland, to those who have been lost, and to those who will be lost—guilty only of being too sensitive for a land cursed by its own allure.
Have the courage to break the chains you have fastened around your own wrists”.
Tracklist:
1. Dead Reflected 2. Among the Dead 3. Absorption of the Flesh through Self Abuse 4. Autopsy of an Hollow 5. On the Bank of the River Styx 6. Charon 7. The Noble Rot 8. La Fiamma che Respiro
COGAS was founded in 2015 by Piero Mura and Davide Ambu with the goal of bringing Sardinian extreme metal to the English scene. Initially a duo, the band expanded in 2018 and released their debut EP, “At the Gates of Pazuzu” (2019), after their first live performances in London. They quickly gained recognition in the local underground scene, followed by the EP “Fuck Your Black Metal Scene” (2020) and their first full-length album, “Unconscious Sons of the Reptile God” (2021), which was well received across Europe. Despite a few line-up changes, COGAS continued performing and evolving, with new musicians contributing to their sound. In 2024, they recorded their second full-length album, “Among the Dead: How to Become a Ghost”, set for release in 2025.

One of the world’s most iconic music venues – the Sunset Strip’s Roxy Theatre – hosted a legendary 2024 gig by one of the world’s most iconic metal bands, CIRITH UNGOL. The one-night-only performance was an album release show for the band’s 2023 Dark Parade LP. It captured the lineup at the height of its considerable powers, performing Dark Parade in its entirety, along with a set of classic songs including “Join The Legion,” “Frost And Fire,” “Black Machine,” and “Atom Smasher.” The end result is a stellar live album and DVD.
There was no choice other than the Roxy for CIRITH UNGOL to record this momentous live collection. “It’s owned by a Hollywood music legend, Lou Adler,” notes cofounding drummer Rob Garven, “and is next door to the famous Rainbow Bar and Grill. It’s a landmark Hollywood club, which includes the Whisky and The Starwood [now gone] so every time we played one of these historic venues, it was a special occasion. It was great to see many of our friends and fans from all over the world at the show.”
Adds bassist Jarvis Leatherby, “For years, there has been a live bootleg record famous in the underground from their last appearance there in1984 titled Cirith Ungol, Live At The Roxy. I felt it fitting for the band to return there 40 years later to officially document a live performance in a way the guys would be proud of. Metal Blade Records, The Adlers, Nanotear, and Goldenvoice all came together in support to actually make it happen.”
CIRITH UNGOL‘s Live At The Roxy holds its own against other legendary live records. “The Who made an extremely powerful album with Live At Leeds, my favorite band of all time, Mountain, had several pretty spectacular live albums, and 1993’s Uriah Heep Live is another outstanding live album! It’s hard to accurately capture all the sound and feeling of a live concert. I think these bands achieved that, and I think our Live At The Roxy does also.”
Live At The Roxy will be released on April 25th via Metal Blade Records. In advance of its official unveiling, today the band presents a taste of the monumental event with video footage of “Down Below.”
Comments Garven, “This song strung together by the haunting acoustic guitar is a gift to all of you on this Doomed Planet! It was, and is, the culmination of all the pain and suffering absorbed into our being from the pandemic, the lost lives, cancelled shows, isolation, and stimuli deprivation. It features some of my best drumming and one of [guitarist] Jimmy [Barraza]’s best solos. As the song rises to the ultimate crescendo, all this pent-up emotion is unleashed on the listener with our final gasping breath. Truly a churning maelstrom of metal chaos descending!“
Live At The Roxy Track Listing: 01. Velocity (S.E.P.) 02. Relentless 03. Sailor On The Seas Of Fate 04. Sacrifice 05. Looking Glass 06. Dark Parade 07. Distant Shadows 08. Down Below 09. “The band’s strong late-period form is now also documented on an impressive live album, which, with a whopping 100 minutes of playing time, includes the complete release show for the 2023 album The Dark Parade. Recorded at the legendary Roxy Club on L.A.’s Sunset Strip, CIRITH UNGOL practically offer a complete showcase of their work, culminating in the frenetically acclaimed ‘Join The Legion’. The audience sound is also beautifully captured, so that Live At The Roxy can be recommended to every CIRITH UNGOL cultist to heart.” – Deaf Forever (DE)

Currently hitting venues across North America on his “There’s No Such Thing As Monsters” tour celebrating 20 years of Transylvania 90210, world-renowned fearsome frontman WEDNESDAY 13 returns with the second single cut from his new full-length album, Mid Death Crisis, set to drop on April 25, 2025 via Napalm Records.
Following acclaimed, ultra-catchy latest single “When The Devil Commands”, brand new second single “In Misery” is a spooky rager, scratching the itch of both goth-punk and sleaze metal while deftly ebbing and flowing amid heavy genre influences and an earworm hook!
WEDNESDAY 13 comments about “In Misery”: “There are too many love songs out there about people confessing their love to one another. I wanted to do the exact opposite, and confess the misery of being in a bad relationship. Hopelessly, madly in misery with someone. I see it every day, people miserable together. I see it almost as much as I see people happily together. Some people enjoy misery, and this song is about enjoying that misery as much as someone in Love.”
After returning in 2022 with his widely-acclaimed full-length album Horrifier (#8 US Top New Artist Albums), as well as several major tours supporting his solo work and celebrated Murderdolls reunion shows, the Duke of Spook is back with Mid Death Crisis! WEDNESDAY 13 dubs the album as a fun, campy, “leave-your-brain-at-the-door” rager and a true return to his hard-rocking roots! Produced by guitarist Alex Kane (Life, Sex & Death, Enuff Z’Nuff, Antiproduct) and mixed by Steve Evetts (The Dillinger Escape Plan, Prong, DevilDriver) the album oozes infectious 80s sleaze metal energy.
Eerie introductory track “There’s No Such Thing As Monsters” vibrates with electricity before industrial-tinged “Decease and Desist” kicks in full blast. WEDNESDAY 13’s trademark crooning wastes no time entering the fold as he careens through the high-octane horror anthem. First single “When the Devil Commands” instantly proves itself as a stunner with an unforgettable hook, charging arena rock-laden drum production and chugging guitars, before tracks like “Rotting Away” and “Blood Storm” ensnare with metallic goth-punk energy that will have crowds moving wall to wall. Featuring Faster Pussycat’s Taime Downe on guest vocals, standout heavy rocker “No Apologies” is a fast-romping exorcism of toxic demons, while the triumphant mini-murder ballad “Decapitation” riles up listeners with a catchy lead riff before making a hard left into a theatrical bridge straight out of a sinister 60s sock hop! Ragers like “In Misery”, “Xanaxtasy” and “Sick and Violent” explore various genres of metal, injecting the album with elements of gripping heaviness for any listener, while downtempo stunners “I Hurt You” and “My Funeral” approach a more pensive territory.
Although its title, Mid Death Crisis, may suggest otherwise, WEDNESDAY 13 shows zero signs of stopping on this refreshingly powerful and multi-faceted entry into the band’s hall of horrific history!
Mid Death Crisistrack listing: 1. There’s No Such Thing As Monsters 2. Decease and Desist 3. When the Devil Commands 4. Rotting Away 5. No Apologies (feat. Taime Downe) 6. Decapitation 7. In Misery 8. Blood Storm 9. Xanaxtasy 10. I Hurt You 11. My Funeral 12. Sick and Violent
