Freshly signed to Century Media Records, Japanese band COLDRAIN are unleashing their newest work by the name “INCOMPLETE” – a song that captures the essence of feeling lost in a chaotic world. With this powerful and hopeful anthem, the quintet from Japan provides the perfect balance between heaviness and big rock sounds which will excite fans and new listeners alike. “INCOMPLETE” is Coldrain’s first release since signing to Century Media Records.
The band shares about the single: “When we draw closer to perfection, we lose something deeply human. Perhaps it is our incompleteness and the longing to be perfect that makes us truly human. We must never forget what it means to be human. We must never forget that we are not alone. We must never forget to care for one another. This is an anthem for the imperfect, the incomplete, the beautifully human.”
The atmospheric soundscapes of Spanish dark post-rock quintet MÜNTRAILS are set to captivate audiences worldwide as they proudly announce their signing with Wormholedeath Records. Their groundbreaking album, “The Cenobite Tapes,” is scheduled for release on May 2, 2025
Formed in 2022, Müntrails—featuring Dibasson (vocals), Beszel (guitars, programming, backing vocals), Zennon (keyboards), BasLag (bass), and Shevek (drums)—has captivated audiences with their genre-blurring fusion of atmospheric post-rock, melancholy melodies, and raw, ritualistic energy. The band describes their journey as a quest to create deeply personal and timeless music, weaving their conceptual narratives through their recordings and electrifying live performances. Having already made waves with their previous EPs (Venom To Come, Disorder Road, and Dance Divine), Müntrails has built an impressive foundation, with The Cenobite Tapes marking a new chapter in their sonic evolution.
In a statement reflecting their excitement, the band shared, “Müntrails is very pleased and proud to be part of the Wormholedeath records team and is fully convinced that there will be interesting events and outstanding successes working together. Hailzzzz!!”
“The Cenobite Tapes” is not just an album; it’s an immersive experience that invites listeners to traverse a rich tapestry of sound and emotion. While not a concept album in the traditional sense, it weaves together diverse musical landscapes that resonate with a profound sense of melancholy and rebellion.
From the hauntingly dense passages of “Pathways” to the raw intensity of “Ancient Enemy” and “We Can Dance,” which feature powerful bass lines and ritualistic guitars, Müntrails showcases their ability to blend emotional depth with sonic ferocity. The album also explores more progressive and ambient territories in tracks like “Heretic Eyes” and “Erase My Name,” post-rock elements are intricately layered throughout, creating a nuanced listening experience.
Despite its lack of a defined concept, “The Cenobite Tapes” possesses a subtle common thread that emphasizes the band’s unique self-expression. This distinctive character makes the album both engaging and accessible, inviting listeners to become active participants in its emotional and dramatic journey. The result is a cohesive listening experience that feels like a living, breathing entity, where ambient musicality and vocal expression reign supreme.

Legendary Italian rocker PINO SCOTTO is back with his latest emotional single, “True Friend” —a powerful hard blues ballad that wraps listeners in a warm embrace. Written during a particularly challenging period in his life, “True Friend” is a heartfelt tribute to a true companion, celebrating a bond built on loyalty and unconditional support.
With his signature raw and passionate voice, Pino Scotto honors the value of friendship that withstands life’s adversities, grounded in respect and shared experiences. The song’s poignant lyrics capture this sentiment: “Everyday we fight against the same old windmills.”
The official music video further reinforces this message, showcasing how even in adulthood, one can experience the purity of authentic brotherhood—just as in childhood. As the lyrics say: “Your vision was so different and pure / now I see the light around you / …/ Then we got this thing called friendship / it’s something helping us to grow.”
With “True Friend”, Pino Scotto transforms a deeply personal experience into a universal message, striking a chord with anyone who has been lucky enough to have a true friend by their side.
A Rock Icon’s Legacy Pino Scotto is an iconic figure in the Italian rock scene, known for his powerful, blues-infused voice and unwavering energy. His career began in the late ‘70s with the release of his first single with Pulsar. Soon after, he became the frontman of Vanadium, recording nine albums with the band until 1995. His solo career took off in 1992 with the release of Il Grido Disperato di Mille Bands, leading him to tour with his Jam Roll Project. Over the years, he has continued to evolve, from his work with Fire Trails—a project he co-founded with guitarist Steve Angarthal, which saw them opening for Deep Purple in Milan—to his long-standing collaboration with Rock TV, where he continues to host the show Database. Pino Scotto’s discography is a testament to his artistic evolution and deep commitment to rock music. His projects include Datevi Fuoco (2008), a collection of re-arranged solo tracks featuring special guests, and Buena Suerte (2010), an album of original rock ‘n’ roll songs featuring artists like Caparezza, The Fire, and Kee Marcello (ex-Europe). He continued to explore new horizons with the cover album Vuoti di Memoria (2014) and his English-language rock album Eye for an Eye (2018). Following the pandemic, Pino Scotto returned to live performances in 2023 with an acoustic duo, reigniting his passion for the stage. This energy carried into an extensive tour with his full band and the release of Live n’ Bad—a high-energy album that encapsulates the raw power and spirit of his music.

This collaboration marks an exciting new chapter in his career, ensuring his powerful music and messages reach audiences worldwide.
Slavic black/death metal institution HATE will release their Bellum Regiis full-length on May 2nd on Metal Blade Records.
With a dozen ferocious and lauded albums since 1996’s Daemon Qui Fecit Terra, HATE‘s lucky thirteenth album, Bellum Regiis, sees the unrelenting Polish quartet forging a bolder and more aggressive style than ever. Bellum Regiis‘ nine songs see vocalist/guitarist ATF Sinner, guitarist Domin, drummer Nar-Sil, and bassist Tiermes honing a modern sound rife with eerie atmosphere and depth. Produced by David Castillo (Candlemass, Carcass, Dark Tranquillity, Katatonia) at Stockholm’s Grondahl Studio, Bellum Regiis is lyrically a more “humanity focused and personal” album than 2021’s Rugia while its songs are timely aural and visual exploration of, according to the vocalist, “a struggle for power and everything that comes with it.”
Formed in Warsaw in 1990, HATE has been hailed as a “hallmark of consistency” and praised as a “sleek and tight death metal monster.” Since 2017’s Tremendum, the band has focused on nature and its mysteries as a main source of inspiration. As Sinner explains, “whether that’s the nature within us, around us, or that we see from afar, the perspectives gained and how they relate to different overarching themes have driven each album.” Where 2019’s Auric Gates Of Veles focused on death, the Slavic perception of death in particular, Bellum Regiis finds HATE delving into “humanity and why are we, as creatures, so deeply motivated by concepts like power, wealth, glory, and faith. The main theme is a struggle for power and everything that comes with it.”
Hence the album title, which translates to “A War Of Royalty” or “A War Of Kings.” The band’s frontman looks at the hard questions surrounding power – does its attainment make us aberrant or are we aberrant to begin with? The title track encompasses the LP’s leitmotif. “As a song, ‘Bellum Regiis’ has both a deep melancholy and a sense of grandeur,” he says. “The vocals laid down by [renowned singer and voice teacher who runs a holistic arts center in Bialystok] Eliza Sacharczuk give the song a strong sense of time. Whether that’s nostalgia, reminiscence, regret, or preparation for the future is in the eye of the beholder. These wars, these struggles, have been ongoing since the dawn of our existence. Whether they are futile or not, they are scars on our very nature.”
Fans may notice some commonality between Erebos and Bellum Regiis in the character of the compositions and overall sound, with Bellum Regiis being richer in style and with more black metal elements to it. “Between female vocals, orchestration, samples, and acoustic guitars, there are a lot of moving pieces that help set this album apart,” notes Sinner. “My vocals have also changed quite a bit over the years. They’re more nuanced and wider-ranging, able to portray emotions and meanings in a more powerful way.”
In advance of the release, today the band unveils their first single, “Iphigenia.” Sinner elaborates, “in Greek mythology, Iphigenia was the daughter of King Agamemnon and Queen Clytemnestra, and a princess of Mycenae. The music came first in this case, but there was an immediate need to fill with content and the story of Iphigenia seemed to connect with it beautifully. It’s a story about sacrificing your life for a greater cause. But the example of Iphigenia is striking because she at one point is given a choice and can save her own life, yet she decides to be put to death and in this way help support the Greek side in the Trojan War. It’s a story of sacrifice which would, all the way since the days of Aeschylus and Euripides, divide an audience of listeners. Is it monstrous of her father to be willing to sacrifice her due to the pressure of his generals? To appease Artemis? Is it then heroic or brainwashed that she would sacrifice herself for her people’s cause?“
Bellum Regiis Track Listing: 01. Bellum Regiis 02. Iphigenia 03. The Vanguard 04. A Ghost of Lost Delight 05. Rite of Triglav 06. Perun Rising 07. Alfa Inferi Goddess of War 08. Prophet of Arkhen 09. Ageless Harp of Devilry
