Industrial extreme metal masters Aborym announce a pivotal new chapter in their career, officially signing a worldwide recording contract with the legendary Italian label Avantgarde Music, who have once again put their uncanny ability to use, and have welcomed extreme metal veterans/pioneers to their roster.

Simultaneously, the band has joined forces with the premier booking agency District 19 for exclusive live shows.

The new record will be titled “Metachaos” and its recordings are scheduled from February 2026.

“Signing with Avantgarde Music feels like a homecoming” says drummer Atum. “We have long admired their commitment to music that pushes boundaries and defies easy categorization. We are currently in the final stages of our upcoming album’s pre-production, which we believe is our most violent and extreme work to date. And on the live front Aborym is now represented by District 19, the powerhouse agency behind lots of extreme metal heavyweights. We can’t wait to play our new songs and old classics on stage”.

Symphonic metal band Memoira has released a new video for their latest single Dollmaker. The epic new video is loosely based on the world of the well-known Italian fairy tale, Pinocchio, and the song is now being heard in its entirety for the first time. The video was produced and shot by SOFT NEON AUDIOVISUAL, while the band members were heavily involved in the production of the video. The band’s bassist Niko Laaksonen is responsible for the lighting and lighting design of the video, and keyboardist Lassi Nuolivaara is responsible for the scriptwriting and directing the actors.

“The story of the video is seen from the perspective of a dollmaker, who desperately hopes for a son of his own, with whom he can share the joys and sorrows of life. He decides to build a doll out of wood and hopes that it will come to life. It’s also great to finally have the full version of the song out in video form and see the audience’s reaction.” – Lassi Nuolivaara / Keyboards

A single edit version of the song Dollmaker was released earlier this fall and is available on all streaming services.

VICTORIUS Raise Their Banner with New Video Single ‘Kingdom Of The Strong’

With “Kingdom Of The Strong”, power metal torchbearers VICTORIUS charge forward once again, delivering a blazing high-speed anthem packed with melody, grit, and heroic bombast. Galloping riffs, towering vocals, and relentless momentum make it clear: this is classic VICTORIUS, built for festival stages and fists in the air.

The single paves the way for the band’s upcoming studio album “World War Dinosaur”, set for release on April 17, 2026 via PERCEPTION – A Division Of Reigning Phoenix Music. Visually and lyrically, the new song dives headfirst into the band’s cinematic fantasy universe, where medieval warriors, dinosaurs, and over-the-top battles collide. The video matches the track’s explosive spirit with colorful chaos and unapologetic excess: power metal with a grin and a sword raised high. Sharpen your swords and saddle your dinosaur – you now enter the “Kingdom of the Strong”!

“With Kingdom of the Strong, we wanted to explore a medieval world – not musically, but thematically,” the band comments. “It’s the Middle Ages meeting dinosaurs! The result is a classic VICTORIUS high-speed anthem. We instantly felt how powerful it was, so releasing it as a single was an easy choice. And yes – we’ll play it live so all the noble knights can sing along!”

“World War Dinosaur” sees VICTORIUS unleash their most powerful and cinematic chapter yet. The holy war between dinosaurs and ninjas enters its next stage – louder, larger, and more explosive than ever before! Across twelve new tracks, forged in cosmic steel and powered by pure imagination, the band invites you into a universe where power metal meets Saturday-morning-cartoon chaos.

“With World War Dinosaur, we went deeper into the theme of the holy dino war and added a stronger military edge,” the band adds. “It’s the most epic and hymn-like album we’ve ever written 100% Victorius, but bigger, tighter, and more intense. We’ve never worked this hard on an album before. ‘Only more is more’ and this time, we went all in!”

About VICTORIUS:

VICTORIUS deliver the soundtrack for a world that never truly disappeared: A world of Saturday morning cartoons, action figures, and boundless imagination. What started as a childhood dream has long since evolved into its own universe, captivating audiences around the globe.

Germany, Europe, Japan, the USA – VICTORIUS tour across continents, bringing a show to the stage that takes sound, story, and attitude to a new level. Every song is part of a larger story – and you can feel it live: thoughtful show elements, a strong visual style, and a performance that excites rather than just functions. VICTORIUS live means: full energy, no facade. A show that stands out, and stays with you.

With each album, the band refines their very own genre: “Power Metal from Outer Space.” Whether it’s cybernetic dinosaurs, galactic ninjas, or magical mammoths, VICTORIUS deliver power metal at maximum intensity – melodic, driving, unstoppable. Their discography reads like a cinematic adventure in multiple parts: from Dinosaur Warfare to Space Ninjas from Hell to The Great Ninja War.

With their upcoming studio album “World War Dinosaur” (out April 17, 2026), VICTORIUS open the next chapter in their ever-expanding universe. This time, the battlefield spans the entire globe, a full-scale military conflict between cybernetic dinosaurs and spacefaring ninja legions. It’s the most ambitious story the band has ever told: epic, explosive, and unapologetically over the top.

At the same time, the album marks a moment of transformation: a reinvention that is both bold and inevitable. VICTORIUS push their signature “Power Metal from Outer Space” to new heights; more cinematic, more intense, more fearless than ever before. With “World War Dinosaur”, the band doesn’t just continue their saga: they level up, redefining what power metal can be in sound, scope, and spirit.

VICTORIUS aren’t a retro show, but a nostalgic leap into the future. For everyone who still feels the fire of those old days, when heroes were immortal, adventures limitless, and imagination knew no bounds.

BLACK LUNG Unveil New Visualizer Single ‘Follow’ from Forthcoming Album

Posted by tarjavirmakari on January 17, 2026
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: BLACK LUNG. Leave a comment

BLACK LUNG present ‘Follow‘ as their next advance single. The subtle yet also dramatic track full of twists and turns is taken from the American heavy psych rockers’ forthcoming new full-length “Forever Beyond” and presented in the form of a beautiful visualizer. The fifth album from the Baltimore, Maryland outfit is slated for release on March 6, 2026, via Magnetic Eye Records.

Pre-order the album here: https://spkr.store/collections/black-lung

BLACK LUNG comment: “I wrote the lyrics for ‘Follow’ after getting out of a job that was bringing me zero joy“, vocalist and guitarist David Cavalier writes. “This song is meant to feel like you are a cog in a machine, and you are breaking the fuck out of it. The verses are tighter, more precise. The bridges and choruses are heavy, wide open, and much more free.“

Tracklist:

  1. Traveler
  2. Death & Co.
  3. Savior
  4. Follow
  5. Forever Beyond Me
  6. Border Hoarder
  7. Scum

When you find yourself adrift at zero gravity with a dreamy smile on your face, you’ve probably booked a flight into space on BLACK LUNG‘s latest inter-dimensional transport “Forever Beyond”.

The veteran trio from Baltimore, Maryland have fine-tuned the recipe of their musical rocket fuel, distilled from stoner doom, psychedelic rock, and other fiery ingredients. BLACK LUNG‘s unique concoction drives every track with captivating tunes, melodic riffing, pumping rhythms, and the inimitable vocal cords of Dave Cavalier taking it home. Every single song on “Forever Beyond” hits its mark perfectly.

On their fifth album “Forever Beyond”, BLACK LUNG complete the hyper jump initiated on their fourth album “Dark Waves”, which was already venturing into new sonic galaxies. Undertones of anger and defiance manifest as many of the songs are artistic reactions to the historic political upheaval in the USA, dealing lyrically with the lure of fascism, blind nationalism, and corporate oligarchy.

BLACK LUNG came into being when two founding members of Baltimore’s well-established psych rock band THE FLYING EYES, guitarist and organ player Adam Bufano and drummer Elias Schutzman, teamed up with multi-instrumentalist Dave Cavalier in early 2014. The three set themselves apart from the crowded field of psych doom and heavy blues with a sonic interchange of fuzzed-drenched guitars, deep driving drumbeats, and Cavalier’s raw, blues-tinged vocals.

Their self-titled debut “Black Lung” appeared in 2014 and was not just celebrated locally, with the title “Best New Band” awarded by the Baltimore City Paper, but BLACK LUNG also crossed the Atlantic to embark on their first European tour. This was capped with a performance at the prestigious Rockpalast Crossroads Festival, broadcast on German national television.

BLACK LUNG released their sophomore album “See the Enemy” in 2016, building on the strengths of their debut while at times pushing into garage psych territory. The album paved the way for a headlining European tour, notably appearing at Freak Valley Festival and DesertFest Belgium.

In 2019, BLACK LUNG returned with “Ancients”. The third full-length channeled years of experience, touring, and songwriting into a more adventurous course, venturing further from familiar doom and psych rock tropes. During the pandemic years, BLACK LUNG managed to push forward with new guitarist Dave Fullerton, which resulted in fourth album “Dark Waves”. It was a milestone in the band’s career, as they abandoned some of their pet ideas such as eschewing bass guitar live in favour of guitars through bass amps, along with the black and white aesthetics that had dominated their artwork of their first three full-lengths.

BLACK LUNG are openly anti-Trump and anti-fascist to the core and make no secret of it. They have no intention to become dogmatically boring but rather aim for live performances that are both cathartic and fun.

With “Forever Beyond”, BLACK LUNG prove that it is possible to rage against injustice with an utmost joyful defiance!

Hailing from Kentucky, USA, BLACK STONE CHERRY are gearing up to release their upcoming EP Celebrate. Due for release on 6th March via Mascot Records, the Southern rocking quartet have shared their latest offering in the form of a swinging cover of the Simple Mind’s classic ‘Don’t You (Forget About Me)’. If that didn’t sound special and nostalgic enough, they’ve also enlisted the help of long-time Black Stone friend Tyler Connolly of the band Theory Of A Deadman.

On the new single and collaboration, vocalist and guitarist Chris Robertson comments:

“Growing up a kid born in the mid 80s I have seen the breakfast club more times than I can remember. One of my favourite parts of the movie was always the music and specifically “don’t you”! So when the chance for us to Black Stone Cherrify the track emerged it was a no brainer. We are beyond excited to share that we enlisted the help of our dear friend Tyler Connolly to help out.”

Stream ‘Don’t You (Forget About Me)’ HERE.

Pre-order the Celebrate EP HERE.

The group recently released the video for the title track ‘Celebrate,’ which imparts the heart-warming advice to “celebrate every little thing in life, even if it’s just making it through the day.”

The video of ‘Neon Eyes’, also included on the EP, follows them on a typical day in the life of a band on the road, as they arrive for their stunning headline performance at the 2025 Maid of Stone Festival in the UK – a taster of what you can expect to experience on their 2026 tour.

Produced by the band themselves, Celebrate is an EP of contrasts; from a dreamily woozy, Nirvana-laced grunge singalong (‘I’m Fine‘), and personal heartache (‘Deep‘), to a curveball cover of the Simple Minds classic ‘Don’t You (Forget About Me)‘, featuring guest vocals from old Black Stone friend Tyler Connolly (Theory Of A Deadman).

Track Listing

  1. Celebrate
  2. Neon Eyes
  3. Caught Up In The Up Down
  4. I’m Fine
  5. Deep
  6. What You’re Made Of
  7. Don’t You (Forget About Me) ft. Tyler Connolly of Theory of a Deadman

ASSIGNMENT Release Second Single & Lyric Video ‘Angel Of Berlin’ from Upcoming Album

German progressive power metal force ASSIGNMENT present their new single “Angel Of Berlin”, the second preview taken from their upcoming studio album “With The End Comes Silence”, due out on March 20th, 2026 via Massacre Records as Digipak CD, limited 2LP and digital.

Following the unveiling of the album’s opener and first single “Fallen”, which introduced the record’s mood of global unrest and existential tension, “Angel Of Berlin” now expands the album’s narrative arc by returning to one of the band’s recurring conceptual storylines.

Serving as a continuation of themes introduced on the 2013 concept album “Inside Of The Machine” and revisited on “Closing The Circle” (2016) and “Reflections” (2020), “Angel Of Berlin” blends emotive vocal work, atmospheric arrangements and dynamic rhythmic shifts into a cinematic chapter that bridges past and present within ASSIGNMENT’s sonic universe.

The track also features a standout lead guitar performance by Marco Ahrens (Poverty’s No Crime), whose expressive phrasing enhances the song’s dramatic scope and melodic impact.

STREAM THE SINGLE HERE: https://save-it.cc/massacre/angel-of-berlin

With “With The End Comes Silence”, ASSIGNMENT refine their songwriting through tighter structures, elevated production values and a heightened focus on emotional storytelling – while preserving the power, thrash and progressive influences that have shaped their sound over the years. The album was mixed and mastered by Simone Mularoni (DGM) at Domination Studio, bringing clarity, weight and cinematic depth to the band’s most cohesive material to date.

ASSIGNMENT are:
Diego Valdez – vocals
Goran Panić – guitars
Heiko Spaarmann – bass
Michael Kolar – drums
